Tamales Orizaba Reviews
Very tasty tamales and a variety of flavors
The tamales are very delicious.
The best tamales in Xalapa.
Takeaway service, sometimes they take a little while to serve you, but the taste of their product is worth it, as is the cost, which is affordable.
Excellent flavor of tamales and great variety
The tamales are simply delicious. There are so many different flavors that it's hard to decide which one to try. I highly recommend them. I assure you, you haven't eaten anything with that flavor before.
Very close to the city center of Orizaba, Veracruz, you'll find these delicious tamales. In addition to the traditional ranchero and cernidos (filled with mole, rajas, etc.), they also offer gourmet tamales: savory cernidos (vegetables and Neapolitan) and sweet ones (blackberry with Philadelphia cream cheese, pine nuts, Nutella, chocolate with almonds, and more). The prices are very reasonable. Highly recommended.
Sometimes they take a while to serve, but the tamales are good.
I tried the chocolate, pine nut, green salsa, and rajas flavors. The chocolate one was delicious; it really tastes like chocolate. The pine nut one was tasty, but it didn't taste much like pine nuts—it had a few whole nuts, which gave it a little flavor. The green salsa one had chicken and wasn't spicy at all; it only had a small amount of salsa. The rajas flavor was just two or three strips of poblano pepper with cheese, but it was very good; it was my favorite.
The tamales were tasty, but while we waited to be served, the older lady, who I imagine is the owner, kept yelling at the girls who help her. We didn't leave only because we were tired of walking. Those tamales had been recommended to us; they were good, but I would think twice about going back.
The tamales taste delicious but the service is sloooow, if you order through the app (Didi) sometimes they don't pack it correctly.
The ranchero tamales are very small, $12. The sifted ones are tasty, 4/5, also $12. The specialty ones, maybe with vegetables, are $14. The Nutella is awful, very dry and tasteless, just a tiny smear. The blackberry one is the same, with little flavor. There's a long line because only one person is serving. And if you don't line up on the side they want, they won't serve you. No way. They need better service and customer care.
Good. Specialty items range from $10 to $14. Parking is a bit difficult. Only available for takeout. Champurrados are $10.
Throughout the country, we can find various varieties of tamales, however, Tamales de Doña Sara is one of the few places with the best tamales in the city. You can enjoy the various varieties of sifted tamales, from sweet tamales to rajas tamales, without forgetting to try an exquisite ranchero tamal. A recommendation if you're into tamales.
These tamales taste great, but the ranchero tamales only have one strand of meat in them. We bought 10 and they were all the same. The cheese ones don't have any cheese at all. They should just leave them out and not give us that bad taste.
The ranchero tamales are delicious, but honestly, the others aren't as good. The chocolate one doesn't taste like chocolate at all. The pineapple one is the same. The strawberry one is really good, though. I've had the others at other places, and they're much tastier.
They're more famous than they are tasty; ranchero tamales barely have any santa leaves. Try other options if you have the opportunity.
We formed up because we saw a lot of people, they are not that small but they put very little sauce and little meat on them. They don't taste bad but if they need more spicy or sweet sauce because eating more pure is not worth it.
