We visited Big Fire on Friday, January 30th, and had an absolutely fantastic experience. The Wagyu steak was incredible—perfectly cooked and full of flavor—and the Old Fashion’s were some of the best we’ve had. What truly made the night exceptional, though, was the outstanding service from our waiter, Josh. From the moment we sat down, he was warm, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. Josh took the time to walk us through the menu, offering thoughtful recommendations on both dishes and drinks—and every single suggestion was spot on. His knowledge, attentiveness, and positive energy elevated the entire evening. Josh provided the kind of service that not only enhances your meal but makes you excited to return. Because of him, we’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend Big Fire—and if you can, ask for Josh!

This is my second time to this restaurant and it’s never a miss. As a solo traveler most of the time. I know I’m not a big ticket, but my server was very helpful. Gave me great suggestions. It was very honest with me about things on the menu. The fondue appetizer never misses, and I told him how much I love the Shishido peppers and he gave me more at no charge. I ordered the lamb chops, which were perfect. The atmosphere in the restaurant can’t be beat at Universal CityWalk. The fact that everything is cooked over an open fire makes it even better. The smokiness just sets off this restaurant from everywhere else. I suggest everyone visit this location. I know some the pricing for the steaks can be intimidating but they are worth the price. Can’t wait to visit this location again the next time I am in universal Orlando city-walk.

Had a great dinner. The steak was cooked perfectly and the sides were comfort food worthy. Good vibe. Our waitress was on the ball. We ate early so it wasn’t busy yet. We were well cared for and hope to come back when bk in town.

We visited for the first time today and we are HOOKED. I think I’ll be having dreams about the Brussel Sprout starter, it was soo good. The steak was cooked perfectly and our server Patrick was great, he was very attentive and helped with providing suggestions on the best things to try. The atmosphere was great, there were only two of us and we were seated upstairs which was lovely. We thought the prices were fair for the quality of food and portion sizes and already plan to come back again tomorrow!

I had a PB&J to drink, and the smoked trout dip, and a cobb salad. The drink was delicious and the smoked trout was absolutely amazing. I wasn't fond of the cobb salad though. The staff were all very friendly; make sure you make a reservation!

We had a lovely meal at Big Fire, our server Laura made the experience so pleasant and welcoming. Really great food and brilliant atmosphere. It was really cool to see the food being made through the big glass window

We had brunch here. Had a great waiter that help with questions and making our food right. First waiter in a long time that went the extra mile. Universal should be pleased for a member on their staff to represent them In a professional manner. Patrons, when eating here, ask for Eric. Great waiter, friendly, helpful. Located at Universal Resorts.

We went here for my wife's birthday dinner, while spending the week at Universal lowes Saphire resort. The food was tasty. One of the lamb chops was undercooked. It was sent back and they remade the whole meal to replace it. The bar is a little slow. My last drink that the manager who replaced the meal said she was going to vet personally for the inconvenience never arrived. Our server seemed forgetful. He left to get cutlery for the to go food and never brought it back. He said hit to us as we were leaving. I paid the bill and left.

Good food, but even better service! Shoutout to our awesome server Chalmers who helped us out! There was a small mishap with our meal but Chalmers helped out quickly. Definitely would come back!

My wife and I were celebrating our anniversary over the weekend and ended up trying Bigfire for dinner on Thursday night. Our meal and service was so good, we ate here again Friday night. On Friday night we had a remarkable server - I believe his name is Josh. It was even enjoyable to watch him interact with other tables as we enjoyed our food. Our Apple Salad and Salmon dish was quality. Our experience couldn’t have been better. On Saturday night, we had a server that seemed to be a little newer to the game. He engaged in some awkward conversation with us, even while just receiving our food. It was as if he didn’t know when it was appropriate to engage in a full blown conversation. Also seemed maybe a bit scattered. Thankfully my wife’s Salmon dish and Apple Salad, (yes… ordered again) and my Chicken Sandwich was perfect. The flavor profile of the Chicken Sandwich was very unique - loved it! We are returning for a short Universal trip soon with two of our kids and will return to dine.

Such an awesome restaurant. The vibe is very cozy and upscale. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was delightful and we all forced room for dessert to get a little taste of more of their food. You can watch the chef cooking through glass or you can watch passers by along CityWalk. We will visit again for sure. Side note: make sure you tell them any and all allergies as some ingredients are not listed and if I had eaten the artichoke dip, I would have had an allergic reaction. They will ask, make sure you tell them even small allergies.

So we ate at Bigfire 4 of the 6 nights we stayed at Universal. It was *that* good. ✅ Service was incredible, ✅ Views were great. ✅ And of course, the food, especially the steaks, were spectacular! ♦️For entrees, highly recommend: --💥🍗 Maple Chicken 10/10 🎉 --💥🥩 NY Strip 10/10 🎉 ♦️For the appetizers, we tried the: --💥 Artichoke dip - it was good but nothing above and beyond from where you might get anywhere else. 7.1 --💥Side salad with grilled chicken - solid choice. Very filling. Bbq vinaigrette dressing was incredible. Would have liked to have a bit of sweetness in there like maybe a sliced strawberry or pear. Overall, 8.6 --💥Wedge salad - my wife thought this was good but nothing she would order again. 7.6 ♦️Also went out with some buddies on another night who got some drinks. --💥Old Fashioned - they said it was on another level and gave it a solid 9.4 =================== Overall, can't say enough nice things. All the way from Tammy who worked the front and always made sure she could squeeze us in if we were early for our reservation. To all the servers who took care of us: including Julissa, Sofia G., Denise A., who were all wonderful, friendly and super attentive 🙏

We went here after our first day at Universal and were beat and didn’t expect much. However, we were very impressed! We didn’t know what to really expect and I hadn’t read all the reviews before. But we apparently ordered a lot of the favorites of others and they were good! First off, definitely make reservations if you plan to come here. We saw a long line of people trying to walk in. Our hotel was able to make us reservations day of. But I want to help others avoid the wait if they don’t have to. We were seated within 5 minutes of arriving. The atmosphere is very ‘traditional grill’ type. Lots of wood and hanging lights. We were seated upstairs which was nice and quiet. Our server was excellent and paid great attention to us. He never let our drinks get empty. We ordered the Bourbon cheese fondue with the meat options. It was delicious!! I loved the cooked carrots and the lavosh most. The bread was the least exciting. But my husband loved the pork and sausage. It was huge!! We ended up splitting a meal and we’re glad we did. I definitely would get this again and would love to figure out how to copy cat this recipe! We ordered the Bison Burger and fries. The burger was great! The fries could have used a bit more seasoning but I liked the way they were cooked. My daughter really wanted grilled shrimp and they were very accommodating. We ordered the BBQ shrimp without the sauce and they seasoned them to perfection. Really should be on the menu - they were my daughter’s favorite grilled shrimp during our whole visit to Florida - and that’s saying something! She orders it everywhere we go! The manager on duty stopped by and checked in on every table. The dinner didn’t take too long and we were able to return to the parks again nice and refreshed after eating this meal. Restrooms were nice and big and tidy. This was our favorite place that we ate during our trip. Even came home and recommended it to friends. Will definitely return when we go back!

First, the service and atmosphere were amazing! Chloe made our experience special. She was so kind, attentive, and truly went above and beyond!!! We had the filet mignon, ribeye, and barbecue pork chop... it was all cooked to perfection. The veggies and au gratin potatoes were to DIE for!! We will be back!!!

Wonderful food (mostly) service and atmosphere! They did an excellent job communicating about their process for handling food separately for those with allergies (severe seafood allergy). My husband’s steak he ordered was medium well and not medium rare (he loved it and ate it all and didn’t mention it to them to correct, so can’t mark down too much), but other than that the food was cooked to perfection. Everyone loved the cheese fondue app, wedge salad, cooked carrots and potatoes.

Alec Latulippe

Our waitress Ivy was fantastic. She was very personal, and attentive. She re-filled our water with our own water container on our table. When we got our food she asked if there was anything else she could get us and I started to ask for another soda, and when I looked to my left, I didn't even realize she had already placed another one down. The food was absolutely incredible as well. I got the burger and it was the best burger I've had at a restaurant. The fries were great too. My fiance had the Cobb salad, and said it was the best salad she's ever had at a restaurant. The atmosphere was also fantastic. Will absolutely be back again.

The food here is standout. We were not expecting all the unique and delicious dishes they had. The fondue appetizer is really unique, shares well, and the cheese is delicious! Also their sourdough- amazing. The service was a tad slow but they also were handling a couple allergy protocols for our table (something every restaurant on Citywalk does VERY well) so it’s to be expected. Short rib, risotto, burger were some of the dishes we ordered and everything was so good. Order the s’mores dessert and make them right at your table over an open flame. It’s really fun and their house made marshmallows are great!

We chose to eat at the Big Fire bar for quicker service without a reservation. It was wonderful. Steaks (filet mignon and NY Strip) were cooked perfectly, sides were excellent, and Jay served up drinks like a chemist! Friendly and fun. A bit pricey, but splurge on vacay.

A
Andrew Shaw

Great place for steak cooked over open flames, really good cuts, came with a really tasty dolphinwa potatoes side, really good hot of cheese. S'mores to finish cooking them at the table is a nice touch, good selection of beers available. Something just seem to be lacking on atmosphere in there can't quite explain it, maybe a more comfortable seat would have improved it

I cannot say enough about the incredible experience I had here for my birthday! From the moment we walked in, Chloe, our server, went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Her hospitality was unmatched — she treated us like family and made sure every detail was perfect throughout the night. She was attentive, kind, and truly made us feel special. A huge shoutout also to Kaitlyn, the manager, who was equally amazing. She was warm, professional, and made sure everything ran seamlessly so that I could enjoy my birthday exactly the way I had hoped. I came in wanting to try the Pappy, and between Chloe and Kaitlyn, they turned it into a birthday experience I will never forget. The care, thoughtfulness, and genuine hospitality made this one of the most memorable celebrations of my life. Thank you, Chloe and Kaitlyn, for making my night unforgettable. I’ll absolutely be back — not just for the food and drinks, but because of the outstanding people who made me feel so valued.

Food was amazing, atmosphere was great, and the staff went above and beyond. Josh was a fantastic, attentive server with great recommendations. Everyone in our section was so pleased. We made a reservation the same day for dinner on our universal app. This was our first time there. Service was excellent, seated immediately and server was very attentive! We both knew what we wanted as we had already looked at the menu. We both got the scallops and have to say these were the best scallops we have ever had. Flavor was amazing. We live in Florida so seafood is something we eat frequently when out! However we will be back for these again!! Highly recommend BigFire. Sorry the picture was after I had dug in, couldn’t wait!

Mussel appetizer and the scallop entree had the best sauces I’ve ever had. The service by Tabitha was friendly and so attentive. One of the best services we’ve had near the Orlando parks. The food is delicious and worth the price.

Absolutely delicious and vegan-friendly! They now offer three different vegan options on their menu, which is amazing. I highly recommend this place and can’t wait to go back and try the vegan casserole 💕 I’m writing this for all my fellow vegans in Orlando or anyone visiting the area this place is a definite must-visit

We were a party of 5 that arrived about 5pm on a Wednesday. I'm so glad we arrived when we did because shortly after we arrived the place filled right up. The new arrivals had a wait of over 1 hour. Our experience was wonderful. The wait staff was very attentive. We all ordered the filet cooked to different temps. When the food arrived it was cooked to each order perfectly. The sides were also hot and delicious. I must add we go out for steak dinners to several different steak houses and this place, far and away was the best we've had in a very long time. All things being equal, the prices were reasonable. I wish they had a location closer to us at home. With that said, I would highly recommend this restaurant and I would also suggest calling ahead to make reservations. Enjoy!

Went to Big Fire recently for my birthday, had Josh for our server! Couldn't have been a better experience, he was awesome! We had the fondue appetizer, it did not disappoint, and I had an amazing seafood bake that included shrimp, scallops and mussels. All our meals were wonderful. I got the baked Alaska for dessert and it was fabulous!!! 2nd time going there and will continue to go whenever I'm at Universal. Don't forget to ask for Josh!!!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We’ve always loved the experience at Big Fire, and it’s become a family tradition for us every time we visit Orlando. The kids absolutely love the campfire s’mores, the atmosphere is unlike anywhere else, and the service has consistently been great. On this visit, our server Jesus was outstanding—friendly, attentive, and truly made the experience even better. I was a little surprised to see the overall rating sitting around 4.1. After reading a recent 2-star review, it seems the complaint centered on cost and steak quality compared to big-name steak chains. That really isn’t a fair comparison. Big Fire isn’t trying to be a low-price, mass-market steakhouse—it’s a unique, wood-fired experience focused on flavor, atmosphere, and presentation. The wood-fire cooking adds a distinct depth of flavor you won’t get at typical chain restaurants, and the food has always been delicious in our experience. If you come here expecting the portions and pricing of a standard steak chain, you’re missing the point. This place is about the experience—and it delivers. We’ll continue coming back year after year.

We had a really nice evening at the restaurant. Our waiter Cole made the experience so much better! He was welcoming, took time to talk to us about any questions we had about the menu and overall would be the reason we would return in the future. The food was really good! My steak was ordered medium rare but was more on the rare side, still tasty though! My partner had the salmon and really enjoy his too.

We couldn't have been happier with our dinner. We started with a raspberry lemonade and bread with herb butter and a fruit preserve, both were great! The steak was perfect, lamb was delicious, mac & cheese was SO GOOD!! We had 0 complaints. We definitely recommend & will be returning.

This restaurant is a real surprise of lavishness. It is much more upscale inside than the exterior or even the website might suggest. This is a high-end steak house and grill with a detailed whiskey bar. The use of flannel in uniforms and the smell of wood fire from the kitchen are a cozy touch, as is the offer of tableside s'mores. The staff is extremely attentive and helpful, and the kitchen can accommodate many dietary requirements. The cocktails are remarkably well balanced, using quality spirits and mix. Highly recommend for adult dining.

Josh was honestly one of the best servers we’ve ever had when dining out. The atmosphere and food were very good, but Josh pushed the experience well beyond anything we would have expected. Hopefully he keeps serving for yet another 20 years!

Sat at the bar on a crazy busy Friday night. The entire crew was beyond phenomenal. At the bar I had Jamie, Chloe, and Dasan. The attention to detail was incredible. I was able to match my favorite bourbon with their classic old fashioned. Not only were the drinks delicious, my water and glass never ran close to empty. I ordered a filet rare and Chef Amanda and Chef Danny came to check that the temperature was correct to ensure I got the steak exactly as I requested. My steak came out perfect and the peppers with potatoes was the twist to a filet that I didn’t know I needed. It was the perfect balance to my charred, rare steak. The service even warranted a visit from one of the GMs. Wilton was so kind and made sure my service matched expectations. They absolutely live up to the hype and the name. I can’t wait to come back and enjoy!

My husband and I recently came to this restaurant last week for my 30th birthday and our honeymoon after having a terrible experience at Toothsome Chocolate Factory. We did not have a reservation but that was no problem as they got us in and seated within 5-10 minutes. Within two minutes of being seated at our table we were greeted by our server Rachel. She was so kind, bubbly and welcoming. She asked us how we were and we told her about our rough time at Toothsome and that we were celebrating my birthday and our honeymoon and she was genuinely so sorry. She did everything in her power to turn our night around. This place is absolutely amazing. The food was exquisite, the atmosphere relaxing, and the service unforgettable. I highly recommend going to Big Fire if you get the chance.

We sat at a high top in the bar area, as we didn’t have a reservation. Bar tender as our server was super nice and helpful. I had the Elk Sloppy Joe, it was really good. Since it was busy, as to be expected at the Orlando Universal CityWalk, it was relatively quiet being over on the bar side.

M

Wow. This place was amazing! Would literally go back just for the mac and cheese. I left feeling so overstuffed because l couldn't stop eating my steak and all the delicious sides. To note: they close at 10pm! We looked it up on google and it just pulls the hours of citywalk which say 12am, so we were really close to 10pm when we got there and felt horrible that we were keeping the staff, but they were so nice to us and said it happens all the time (l can see why). But anyway, steak was amazing, sides were amazing, staff was amazing, couldn't ask for anything else.

I had an amazing experience! I had Josh as a waiter which was education in itself, from the meal I ordered, to his knowledge of the parks themselves. I made every decision based off his input and I was not disappointed. He was well versed, enthusiastic and inspiring in his knowledge of this experience. The meal was delicious! The drinks were exquisite. The whole experience was brought together by the staff. Josh was a 20 on a scale to 10! By far my best universal/ city walk experience. If you have the opportunity and he's on shift seek Josh to bring your Big Fire meal to full completion and disappointment will not be on the menu. I had filet mignon, old fashions and a great time. Thank you Josh! Thank you Big Fire for managing an amazing team!

My wife and I came in to the bar area NYE, earlier in the night - we had a few drinks and an appetizer before heading back to the parks. The bar area is awesome if you can get a seat. We had such a good time that we back close to midnight for a nightcap and to see our bartender again. Chis was awesome, cool to talk to, attentive - great service, and he made the best expresso martini. Other bartenders awesome also, Jay and Tyler ( hope I spelled name correctly) were also awesome as they found time to chat with us also and were super cool. Awesome place to stop in for a drink and a small bite to eat. We’ll be back.

Our favorite place to go whenever we dine out at CityWalk. We recently celebrated our 10th anniversary here and everything was perfect. The host was great, our server, the cocktails and appetizers were magazine worthy and as usual the steak was amazing. I had the shrimp added on this time and they were very good too. Will definitely be back. Thanks Big Fire.

We went for brunch on Sunday morning and it was absolutely delicious. Our waitress Julissa was kind, informative and pleasant. Thank you for making our meal a very special one.

This place is excellent! Our favorite dinner on our most recent trip. We got both types of ribeye, the bone marrow, and a corn bisque. The steaks were cooked exactly to medium rare. We preferred the standard ribeye to the Wagyu, nicer texture and less salty. The bisque was solid and the marrow was _excellent_. Service was fast and friendly. We ate the day before heading to the parks so we weren’t too worried on time; but it was fast enough that I’d feel comfortable doing a dinner reservation in-between evening rides. Like everything else in City Walk it’s a few minutes from USF/IOA park entrances. Price-wise I thought it was reasonable given it’s a steakhouse next to a theme park; we paid $56 for a 14oz ribeye (solid value imo) and $74 for a 12oz Wagyu (on the pricey side), both of which came with a potato gratin. Overall ~$100 a person. Def recommend!

Bigfire is one of the most atmospheric spots at CityWalk. The interior is absolutely on fire — warm lighting, wood textures, those signature flame accents, and the open kitchen all make you feel like you’ve stepped into a modern lakeside lodge where everything revolves around good food and the glow of real fire. What really stands out is the attention to detail: watching the kitchen in action feels like a little show of its own. And I love the finishing touch on their burgers — that branded sear mark adds personality and makes the whole dish feel crafted with intention and care. It’s a place you definitely want to come back to and bring friends along. Amazing atmosphere, great design, and a memorable vibe. Solid 5 stars.

The prime rib wasn't very good; it was tough to chew and difficult to cut. It certainly wasn't like home-cooked, and for the price, we expected something a little better. But what can you say... it's Christmas Eve today, the atmosphere is very warming and pleasant, and we will definitely come back again and just order something different.

The best Cobb Salad found in a steakhouse! The steak was very good too, done medium rare to perfection. Paired with a bottle of Duck Horn Merlot. Rebekah our server sourced for a decanter to help the wine breathe. She was totally professional and personable. A great night with our grown up kids.

Bigfire is a beautifully designed restaurant with a warm, rustic atmosphere and great service. From the moment we walked in, the staff was friendly and attentive, and the overall vibe felt elevated yet relaxed — perfect for a nice dinner after a day at the parks. We ordered a few cocktails which were excellent, and the appetizers were flavorful and well-prepared. The open-fire concept is really cool and gives the whole place a unique edge. I ordered a steak for my main course, and unfortunately, it was overcooked and came out dry, which was a letdown considering how good everything else was. To their credit, the staff was apologetic and offered to make it right, but I didn’t feel like waiting for a replacement. Even with that hiccup, I’d still highly recommend Bigfire. The ambiance, service, and the rest of the food more than made up for the misstep with the steak. It’s a great spot if you’re looking for something a little more upscale while still staying within the fun, casual feel of Universal. I’ll definitely be back — hopefully next time the steak is on point!

Amazing! My first first was better than expected. We ordered half chicken, salad, cucumber martinis, and chocolate smores. The dressing was homemade. The chicken had so much flavor with lots of spices! The stores were so fun to make, and we ordered the choclate ice cream with marshmallow on top! Can't wait to go back! Best restaurant in Universal!

We've been here a few times and it never disappoints! Our last time was Sunday night to celebrate my husbands birthday and our server Cole was amazing. Bigfire is our go-to anniversary date restaurant. Delicious drinks and awesome steaks. The bread appetizer is so good but might fill you up before the main course if you lack self-control like me, haha. Of all the places in the park and on City Walk, this feels like the one that knows how to properly mix a drink. Which is to say, this should be your LAST stop after a day of adventure, cuz you will probably be ready for a nap afterwords.

Fantastic Experience Again at Big Fire. Of all the restaurants on CityWalk, this is clearly the best. Made arrangements on the menu for me as I loved the Short Rib but none of the sides appealed to me. Changed it up no worries. Food was delicious. Service was great.

We had a party of 4, we ended up being early to our reservation and they were able to seat us. Our waitress was very attentive and even though it took quite a bit of time to get our food they definitely took care of us. A big thank you to Tyler the manager to making everything right and to our waitress Iliana for caring and making sure we got our food and everything was right. Will definitely be going here again.

My new favorite steak restaurant in Orlando🤤😅 The food was delicious, our waitress was supper friendly and the food was delivered on a timely manner. If you've ever tasted food cooked on skillets and under real wood fire this is it🤤 took me back to my great aunts kitchen in Mexico🥲 Este es mi restaurante mi nuevo lugar favorito para comer steaks en Orlando😅🤣 Tienen un queso derretido y unos chiles asados que me hicieron irme al fogon de mi tia chuy🥲 ese sabor casero no es facil de imitar cuando realmente has probado comoda asada con madera. Absolutamente fabuloso!

Incredible food. Highly recommended to have a great dinner with family or friend or your half one. I really enjoyed the Corn Bisque, the best I ever had. Steak was good but the scallops a total show. My recommendations. Corn bisque as entry and scallops for main. You’re not going to be disappointed with this combination. I don’t like too much the steak 🥩 and that the reason for my 4 start. The meat was little hard and they stayed was Wagyu Ribeye. I’ll try many ribeyes better than this one.

The steaks were absolutely amazing—perfectly cooked and full of flavor. Unfortunately, the Cobb salad fell below expectations and didn’t match the quality of the entrées. Our server was friendly and did a great job, but it was clear they had too many tables. As a result, some items took much longer than they should have. For example, our wine didn’t arrive until we were nearly finished with our meal. Despite the delays, the staff overall was very warm and welcoming. With a bit more attention to pacing and support for the servers, this could easily be an outstanding dining experience.

Very good steak House. Reservations are a good idea if you can plan ahead. We had the filet mignon with french fries. About 50$ each. Very good value. 8oz filet mignon. Good french fries. Good asparagus. The sourdough bread to start was ok. Not evenly cooked. It tasted like regular white bread and not at all like sourdough. The herbed butter was good. Strange that they served it with orange marmalade. It tasted good but I would not start my meal that way. Excellent service from Patrick. Professional and friendly. Big beautiful store. Small booths for tables of two or four, and many big tables for bigger groups. Highly recommended.

We had a lovely meal at Bigfire! The food was excellent — full of flavour and cooked perfectly. We started with the cheese fondue, which was super tasty, and then shared the scallops with popcorn risotto and a beef rib that was incredibly tender and delicious. The wood fire added a really nice smoky flavour to everything. The service could have been a bit more attentive, as we waited a while for our starters to be cleared, but everyone was friendly. The price was more than fair for the quality and overall experience. The only downside was the atmosphere — we were seated upstairs in a quieter back area, so we missed out on the buzz of the open kitchen downstairs. That said, we did book last minute, so it’s understandable. Still, highly recommended for the food and overall experience!

I am giving 4 stars, as I was the only one in my party happy with my plate. My plant-based steak was delicious and beautifully presented; from the pictures, you can’t tell it’s plant-based. For a non-vegan/vegetarian place, they did a great job executing this plate. Personally, I would have given 5 stars, but everyone else felt their plates were mediocre (burger, chicken sandwich, and I think the other one was a pork plate). Our server was very nice and knowledgeable. Nice atmosphere as well.

I order the 8oz sirloin and sides of potatoes (extra) and Asparagus (extra). The sirloin tasted really good, excellent taste and super tender. But the sides portions are small. It was only 3 asparagus and like 12 small potatoes. They tasted great and well cook, great flavor but so small potions. I said it before, I don’t mind paying high price but it better match that price. It matches it on taste but not on quantity. I left somewhat hungry still.

First time experiencing this restaurant. I didn't have a reservation and was solo, so I walked up to the bar area. The bartender, Jamie, was friendly and helped me get out of my comfort zone when it came to ordering my usual boring beer. He recommended a local one and gave me tasters. I had the cheese fondue appetizer, and that was so delicious! 😋 overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I can't wait to go back!

Overall our visit to Bigfire wasn’t bad. The atmosphere and the food were good. The only real issue was our service, we were a table of four so not a huge party, but it just seemed we weren’t a priority for our server. We had to wait a long time for our drinks (just soft drinks) and refills only happened when our cups sat empty. Still a good visit and will probably return because the food was very delicious.

The lamb chops were cooked to the desired doneness. It didn't taste gamey, and it was well seasoned. The couscous was too sweet for my likings, but overall, this dish was good. The ribeye steak and roast potatoes were tasty. The kids approved of the mac & and cheese, but it wasn't the best they've had, and I think it's because it could have been creamier. The trout dish presented and tasted well. The baked Alaska flambeed nicely, but the meringue needed to be thicker. It was missing marshmallow flavor. The ice cream was solid as a rock, and it was missing the sponge layer. I would still recommend this place, but they have rooms for improvement on their food.

Way overrated. I had read good reviews, but it was just okay. We did like the fondue appetizer And we accidentally got the bread... and it was good, too. My wife & I shared a house salad...it was pretty good, but our server forgot the blue cheese dressing. We also shared the $60 steak. It was cooked medium, but it was chewy and not a great cut of meat. And we finished with their chocolate fondue dessert pot. It was the best. We both agreed that we would not return, too many other great choices.

Our waiter, Kenny, was very friendly. Anything from the grill had that nice um... grill taste, including the steak, salmon, and cod. That's a good thing. Thank me later.

After a very long day spent at Islands of adventure and universal studios our group of friends made our way to Bigfire for our 6pm reservations. Atmosphere is very modern, warm, and welcoming with chefs in visible distance from entrance is a nice touch. We were seated very quickly which I like with having a reservation in advance. Booth seating is always my favorite which all three of us enjoyed especially on the second floor having a view of majority of restaurant floor and window view of landscape outside in citywalk. All the food was great and the appetizer was on point for originality and taste. I regret not trying the s’more sampler platter but will next time. Price point is decent for theme park restaurant and portions are good too. Definitely worth a try.

Scallop was fresh and sweet. Short ribs was tender but a bit salty. Burger was on point. Service in the bar area was great. Got there at 7:30 and was informed our table wouldn't be available until 9:30! After walking around a little bit, at 8:30 we tried the bar area and found an empty table for three. Got seated and the waitress and the bar area put in our order right away and cancelled our 9:30 seating. Definitely get reservation here.

We visited for dinner, great atmosphere and attentive staff. Three cuts of steak, one of our party had the filet mignon, and it got a very good review. Good range of beer. They claim to be able to make any cocktail. However, their french martini left a lot to be desired, and their margarita came in a tumbler rather than the proper glass.

Stake was halal, burger no longer halal. I give it a 8.8/10 not bad. One part was chewy I wish was cooked better for 60$ but overall very good food. Thanks and good service. The fires ate amazing.

I had Thanksgiving dinner here and overall it was a really good experience. The food was great, the atmosphere was warm, and the staff handled the holiday rush well. One thing I do want to mention: when I ordered dessert, I mentioned that I don’t drink alcohol because I’ve been sober for over six years. It was extremely loud that day, so it’s very possible the server didn’t fully hear me. The dessert still had alcohol in it, and even if it was cooked down, the remaining taste was strong enough to throw me off a bit. I’m not blaming the server at all it was packed and difficult to hear anything , but I do think the restaurant could be clearer about which desserts contain alcohol so guests with restrictions can avoid surprises. Otherwise, it was a solid experience and I would come back.

One of the better restaurants at City Walk. The cheese fondue is a must try. We shared the rib eye, it was good , very good flavor. Service was extremely slow, but also holiday crowds so that probably caused the issues

We decided to try this restaurant located in Universal City Walk versus some of the bigger more popular spots (Hard Rock, Chocolate Emporium). The menu choices and selections were good with many different options. All 3 of us got items that we typically order (steak, salmon, seafood platter). Our waiter was kind and informative. We were seated at 9:00 PM and completed our dinner at 10:30. Be ready to spend extra time when dining here. The salmon was cooked appropriately, the seafood was brought in a cast iron pot so was warm, but the steak (although cooked appropriately) was only slightly warm versus hot. It was a great one time experience but not sure that I would make it a point to return in the future.

(Update - Management contacted me and the issues were discussed. I am hoping they may look into what’s happening. I will give them another chance in a few months or so) Bigfire was one of our favorites at Universal Orlando. After talking to employees we found out that most of the chefs were moved to Epic. We asked because the food has suffered. The steaks were just mediocre, along with the sides. Even the bread service, which costs extra, wasn’t that good. Needed to be cooked longer. The place itself has great atmosphere and the service was really good. Hopefully things will get better again.

Bigfire has a great atmosphere and an inviting concept, but the experience fell a little short of expectations. The biggest issue was the wait time, it took much longer than expected to get our food, which was disappointing for a restaurant that presents itself as a higher-end dining option at Universal CityWalk. Cobb Salad – The ingredients were fresh, and the grilled chicken had a nice smoky flavour from their signature wood blend. The pork belly added a rich, savoury bite, but the sweet potatoes felt a little out of place. The honey barbecue dressing was decent but didn’t really elevate the dish. Overall, it was a solid salad, but nothing particularly special. Beer Can Chicken – Unfortunately, the chicken was overcooked and ended up being quite dry, which really took away from the dish. I was expecting a more flavourful and juicy result given the cooking method, but it just didn’t deliver. The Brunswick stew was a nice addition, adding some moisture and depth, but the slaw was pretty standard and didn’t do much to enhance the meal. 14 oz. Boneless Ribeye – Easily the best part of the meal. The steak was cooked to a perfect medium rare, with a nice sear and a good balance of char and tenderness served with mash potatoes and some grilled vegetables. However, for a restaurant aiming for a higher standard, it didn’t quite have that wow factor to make it stand out. Overall, Bigfire has potential, but the long wait times and just decent food make it hard to justify the premium pricing. It’s a good option if you’re already at CityWalk and want something other than quick service, but I expected more from a restaurant positioning itself at a higher level.

The restaurant is really beautiful, both outside and inside, and the service is amazing. We ordered the Thanksgiving special and the pork ribs, but both dishes came out cold. Considering the prices and the level of the restaurant, we think the food should match that, the dishes would have been incredible if they’d been served at the right temperature.

My family made reservations for 4:30 on Christmas Day for 6 on the recommendation of my son whom has been there at least twice. After a long day at the parks to sit down for a nice family Christmas dinner was something to look forward to. We had appetizers of fondue and Brussel sprouts. The choices for entrees for the family were; scallops, spare ribs, pork chops, filet mignon, a steak knife cheeseburger and a grilled chicken breast sandwich. Scallops were good, spare ribs were good, pork chop was ok, the $48 filet was the worst filet I have ever tried to cut and chew. It appeared to be cooked perfectly medium but was difficult to saw through with a steak knife. The $28 steak knife burger was on a stale or over toasted bun that crumbled on every bite. French fries were worse than anything I could have made in my air fryer at home. The burger and fries as Mel’s Diner was more satisfying. The grilled chicken sandwich was on the same crumbly bun. The chicken breast sandwich couldn’t be eaten like a sandwich if you tried. When cutting the chicken with a steak knife, the chicken shredded instead of slicing. This was an extremely disappointing dinner to say the least. The family was out for Christmas dinner as well as celebrating our son’s engagement so this was extremely disappointing. At almost $80 per person, including a burger and grilled chicken breast sandwich, it should have been at least a satisfying meal.

very nice staff. picked a cozy secluded place and it saved the situation. the atmosphere was cozy and romantic. the food surprised in a bad way. overdried meat. overcooked vegetables, the baguette was so hard that it was impossible to break. for such prices tasty food was expected... I give it 3/5, but I will come back again to give it a chance.

Tried this for the first time.. we ordered the Brussel Sprouts appetizer and was disappointed at not only the cost but because they were not close to spectacular. They were hard (not al dente) and they came with whole peppers. There was a smear of hummus underneath and the overall portion was so very little. We also ordered the wedge salad to share and that was great except the dressing lacked that blue cheese punch. I found myself salting it a few times for flavor. It was very bland. My husband ordered the burger which was tasty! See pictures. I ordered the scallops which was very tasty as well. It sat in a sweet bourbon like sauce that we had to get a spoon to drizzle on my husband’s burger.

We visited Bigfire to celebrate our anniversary - we’ve been before and really enjoyed it, so we were looking forward to another great experience. The food was good, but overall we left a bit disappointed. We had a late booking (9:45 p.m.) but felt rushed since the kitchen was closing soon after. It made the evening feel hurried, which took away from the relaxed atmosphere. Our server, Christina, was polite at first and wished us a happy anniversary, which we appreciated, but there were a few small things that made the service feel impersonal — she only took my drink order and didn’t ask my partner, and by the end of the meal she seemed disinterested. When we left, there was no thank you or goodbye, just a dismissive tone that left us uncomfortable, assuming intentional. We left an $8 tip on a $52 bill (around 15%), which is a fair tip to us as visitors from the UK, but her reaction made us feel awkward. Last year, the staff gave us a small anniversary card, so perhaps our expectations were higher this time. We also noticed the chicken sandwich did not have the Bigfire heat stamp like the cheeseburger, which would have been a nice touch. Please consider speaking with staff about maintaining a warm and professional attitude, especially with guests visiting from outside the U.S. who may still be learning American tipping norms but are genuinely trying to integrate and show appreciation. Not a terrible experience, but disappointing compared to our last visit. Hopefully it was just an off night, as we’ve had much warmer and more welcoming service here before.

Our group of five dined here and our Server Rachel was one of the best waitresses we’ve ever had in a restaurant. The food was excellent for the appetizers and entrees however, the desserts were burnt and inedible. The largest frustration was the timing of the kitchen. Every course was delayed and it took our small group of two kids and three adults over 2 1/2 hours to eat dinner.

Dinner for two. Two courses, 3 drinks in total came to just over $200. The food was ok. We had starters, which tbh were the best part. We have definitely had far better food for less. The steak was fatty and not great quality. The server was very attentive, polite & professional. The venue was lovely. Seats were uncomfortable for me. I was shocked at the price. We had a better quality meal for a lot less at Hard Rock across the way. I wouldn't eat here again.

The food was decent, drink menu is limited and room for improvement on overall offering. Our server was nice and did the best she could. They were very obviously understaffed and service/ food timing was very slow. It's probably one of the better spots in a sea of commercial outlets.

Located in Universal City Walk Orlando atmosphere is 5 stars. I order the shrimp and grits. They were enjoyable. I also ordered Brussel sprouts for an appetizer. They were under cooked and you could tell they had been sitting out for a while. I also ordered the beef short ribs. The portions were nice but they were 90% fat and gristle very very tough not tasty. The best thing on my plate was the cornbread so unhappy for the price and the wait time. Also the service is very, very slow. You would think after a 40 minute wait to be seated that the servers will be on a point for very attentive instead my server was very slow and forgetful. no plans on returning to this restaurant ever.

Went there Sunday for brunch with some friends. Decided to go with the chicken and waffles on their brunch menu as I was a teeny bit hungover from the night before. When it arrived I was very dissapointed. They served me three mini waffles and one chicken tender cut in half. The server was honestly hesitant to even set it down as she knew something wasn’t right. I didnt want to complain to I just decided to eat it. Two bites in and the chicken was so over cooked and dry it was hardly edible. I just sat there while everyone else ate their food. My wife was letting me nibble off of her plate as she didn’t think she could eat all of hers. A few moments later a manager came to the table with two more chicken tenders and apologized and said “I think we left some chicken off your plate and wanted to bring it out to you.” At that point in time I said I would honestly like to order something else as my chicken was overcooked and th waffles were now cold. He was happy to make that happen and a steak omelet came out quickly. The omelet was pretty damn good too! I applaud the manager for owing the mistake and making it right. What grind my gears is a chef behind the line, the expo, and the server all thought that was acceptable to serve that dish for $29… Just sharing the experience and pictures.

Huge ripoff. I would have preferred they charged $100 for a good steak than $60 for what seemed like a ribeye they bought in bulk from Aldi. Any steak over $40 should and will be instantly compared to steaks I get at chain restaurants like Outback, long horn and especially Texas road house. If you’re more expensive than them, you should be at least as good as they are. Big Fire was not.

Reservation for 715. When we said we had one extra person they told us they were putting us on a wait. Which is whatever. My problem was we waited almost 45 moms to even order. Then two tables that came after us (one of which was also a lg party) got food prior to us. Our servers response? It’s coming. It’ll be here soon. When asked what that meant we were told he didn’t know. At 10pm we FINALLY got out. But hey, not before he charged us gratuity. No manager visited. My steak had no seasoning. And $15 for four shrimp? Come on. My daughter asked for corn, never mentioned it had cheese on it, she doesn’t eat dairy. This was a terrible experience overall.

My husband and I were very excited to try the big fire restaurant. We planned the day for universal studios and to fine dine for our anniversary. For starters the hostess had a very thick accent and isn’t as welcoming. The restaurant itself was very nice downstairs and had a lot of empty tables, but the hostess sat us upstairs in an awkward corner spot, so I politely and kindly asked to be moved to a different table because I wanted our anniversary to be more special. I’m in the serving industry and have worked with customer service for many years. We didn’t receive A simple “hi how are we doing” “hello my name is ___ I’ll be attending you” “are we first timers here” I know what it’s like to work in a restaurant. But Our server made us feel like we were just people who were sat in her section and she had to attend us with not even the bare minimum. My husband doesn’t speak English, and our server would overhear while taking our order that I would only speak Spanish to him and translate. but she proceeds to speak only English to him when he doesn’t understand. In the end when she got a bit of a rush and was busy my husband had to pay with Apple Pay , she spoke Spanish perfectly to him only because she was busy and needed her transaction quickly. which also threw us off guard because she made it seem like she didn’t speak Spanish. Definitely felt very judged and profiled. We still left more than 20% tip even though the service wasn’t great but because we didn’t want to give her the benefit of the doubt of just because we weren’t dressed elegant enough or based on my skin color that in hope she won’t judge other people in the future and attend them badly just by judging a person on the outside. The food was very good , I have no complaints about that. But it was our special day and anniversary AND first time there , the service definitely made us feel like we wont be returning.

This had the most positive reviews for CityWalk but this was a big letdown for us. The beer can chicken was a great portion size but very dry. The filet mignons were good but the "wood smoked flames" were not discernable vs cooking steak at home. The lamb chops were reportedly nice and tender but the brussel sprout appetizer had very little flavor. Service staff were very warm & friendly and greeted us in passing, except the old lady at the inside hostess stand.

Recommended by a friend, I made a reservation at Bigfire during a recent trip to Universal for a conference. Unfortunately, this ended up being a one-and-done experience for me. Like many of the restaurants at CityWalk, it just didn’t deliver. We started with the fondue appetizer, which was good overall, but still a little lacking in flavor. Decent, but nothing memorable. I also ordered the corn bisque to start, and that was a definite miss. The popcorn on top was odd and completely unnecessary, and the soup itself was bland—almost reminiscent of baby food. Terribly under-seasoned. For my main course, I chose the bone-in short rib. The portion was shockingly small for the price—about the size of a deck of cards. The meat was tender and could have been flavorful, but the cold, tasteless BBQ sauce on top completely ruined it. It was served with an ear of corn that was shriveled, overcooked, and cold, along with a piece of jalapeño cornbread so hard you couldn’t even cut it with a steak knife. Overall, Bigfire was a big miss for me—and unfortunately, so was my friend’s recommendation.

Tried their sunday brunch menu and everything is seriously overpriced for what you get. Server was friendly and attentive but wait time for food and bar service was very slow considering how few tables were actually seated. Portions were very small and left still hungry. Avocado toast had more arugula lettuce on it then the tiny smear of what I assumed was supposed to be the avocado. Definitely won't be back for brunch felt very ripped off.

The food was mediocre at best (which is not great given the cost). Everything from the scallops to the beer can chicken to the elk sloppy joe was weirdly (very) sweet. They seem to use the same base sauce for everything, and it is certainly lacking (a little bit of salt and acid would have gone a long way). The entrees took quite a while to arrive, though the appetizers were quick, so we were just left twiddling our thumbs for a good chunk of time between. More specifically, the scallops were inconsistently cooked (some were finely cooked and others way overcooked). The sauce they were served on was broken and oily (and again way too sweet). The vegetables were not seasoned in the slightest, and the bread was stale. The skin of the chicken was weird and tough. However, the inside of the chicken was tender and cooked nicely. Was it left to sit out so the skin dried up? Unsure. The Brunswick stew the chicken was served with was weirdly dry for what I expect of the dish. The elk sandwich, along with the beef burgundy, was probably the best, though again weirdly sweet. My guess is that these are slow cooked items, and that's why they were the best. The appetizers were nice though I wish there were more items served with the amount of fondue and that the Brussels were of a larger portion size (I've been to much fancier places with cheaper Brussels and larger portions) The good is that we had a lovely waiter named Woody.

This was more or less the worst “high end” steakhouse experience I’ve ever had. I’m in town for a large trade show, and had reservations tonight to test out the place and tomorrow for a sizable party. Here’s how tonight with 2 people went. I checked in inside, and apparently I was supposed to check in outside. I was precisely on time for my reservation. I was told my table wasn’t ready, was berated for not checking in outside, and then was made to move to the back of the “inside line” to wait while my table was prepared. 60 seconds later, I was texted, and told my table was ready. I then had to wait for 4 other parties to go in front of me before I was able to be seated. We made our way to the table, and they stuck us upstairs at a 2 table literally at the very top and back of the restaurant, directly facing HVAC vents pumping very cold air on the table. It was impossible to escape. The waiter was nice, and relatively fast, but it still took over 20 minutes to get water and our first order of drinks in. In the meantime, I watch not one, not two, but 3 different waiters directly below me talking to a very well endowed Latina for more than 20 minutes without waiting on any other tables, the two gentlemen who were employees were clearly flirting with her. We watched her and her friend get their food, get flirted with for almost half an hour, eat, get dessert, and leave before we even got appetizers. Following, we sat for another 50 minutes and watched that same table seat another solo guest. She got an appetizer, 2 rounds of drinks, and her steak before we received ours. To be clear, we never received our steaks, and we had ordered high dollar ones also, filet’s, with add-ons. I got fed up after 80 minutes of sitting at that freezing table, and the waiter came up and said he didn’t know where our steaks were, and said the kitchen was “backed up”. Clearly not, considering basically everyone else below us was eating just fine. So I asked for the check for what we had eaten, and while I wasn’t necessarily expecting to just get everything at that point for free since we wanted to leave, it would have been nice. So a couple rounds of drinks and 100 dollars later, we left with only an appetizer to eat. The fondu was great. The short rib flat bread had been sitting out for some time before it was brought to us, it was cold. Genuinely cannot express enough how bad of an experience this was. I didn’t cancel the large party reservation though, I figure I can do what the staff did to me and just leave that “on read” without responding. It’s the least I can do. I rarely write really long or bad reviews, but this was genuinely the worst experience I’ve had, and this is the only time… ever… that I’ve gotten up and left because of how long the food took.

I went for their cauliflower steak and they discontinued it it is no longer on their menu! I was really disappointed being in vegan and that was one of my favorite vegan dishes right now! I’ve looked online for a dupe recipe and still haven’t found it . Literally was the worst day ever and on top of that the bread was cold when it came out. Mind you I had ordered the Brussels sprouts and the bread only! Nothing else . The Brussels were alright the bread was cold! Looked like it wasn’t even put in the oven.

This place has really gone down hill since when we went two years ago. While our waiter was great, it took forever to get our drinks. When we ordered steaks, the “Wagyu filet” was a skirt steak. We sent two back and re ordered burgers that were so well done that one was not edible. The lamb chops were supposed to be medium and they came out bleeding. Only one person of six was happy with our meals. It used to be the best restaurant on city walk and now I will not be recommending to anyone. Not sure what happened over the past few years but very disappointed in our experience.

L
Luis Gonzalez

Although our server was excellent, the food was not! I ordered my ribeye steak well done with mashed potatoes, I received it medium and without the mash, they took it and brought it back, once again not fully cooked and without the mash. I ended up eating it and it was not even that good, the meat was not tender. Honesty, you get better food at Longhorns or Texas Road House for half the price and none of the hassles.

Won't go back to this restaurant. The food is terrible, burger arrived cold except for the side of fries. Filet mignon didn't taste good at all. There's only fries for the sides (sandwiches).

Atmosphere and service are great. The waitress kept our drinks full. Uoap here, we come here a decent bit and this place has gone WAY downhill. What was normally a flavorful place to go after the park has turned into bland and overpriced theme park dinner. Everything is flavorless and the food came out cold and we sat for a while to get our meal. The prices have increase way too much to justify even coming here again.
