Just discovered this spot on a trip to Orlando and I literally went 3 times in the span of 3 days. I’m vegan and it made me so happy to see all the options they serve, not to mention the food was more than delicious. The staff were super nice and the atmosphere was great. The Drunken Monkey is now a must for all of my future Orlando trips!

The Drunken Monkey is right on Bumby Ave, corner of Stanley St, next to Beefy King. I was surprised by this small restaurant. It is family owned and has been operating for 17 years; something they're doing right. I called and placed my order by phone, as I could not figure out how to place an online order; no big deal. The young woman that answered the phone was very polite and sounded so sweet and friendly. She helped me with my order and suggested alternatives to what I wanted, because what I asked for was not on their menu anymore. I ended up with a Royale Panini which is very tasty and a Turmeric Latte (Golden Milk). I got the Turmeric Latte because I've been meaning to try it and for its potential health benefits. Now, that Royale Panini was stupendous, it was done almost to perfection; it came with a little side of potato salad, which was enough and tasty except that it needed a little bit of salt. Order was done fast. I went in to pick up my order and order was ready for me to pick up and go. The staff is great. I will be back to try other items that I saw on their menu and to try their Matcha; I love Matcha. Thank you for the great food and service Drunken Monkey!

I tried their coffee for the first time today and ordered the mojo and added Carmel on it I liked it they have drive through as well! The girl was super sweet

A very great study spot with plenty of food options for all diets. The Mojo Jojo is a great choice for coffee and the staff is all kind and friendly. They also have a drive thru and great pastries, some are even vegan and gluten free.

the cutest coziest spot !! this is one of the few places left that still has that dark rustic authentic coffee shop vibe. such a breath of fresh air from the cold sterile modern ones. please never change 🫶🏻 also the food is amazing and the staff is always so sweet and helpful :,)

Delicious food with a good variety of vegan/plant based options with reasonable prices. This establishment is a great place for dining in or take out. The service is both fast and friendly. The coffee is strong and the esthetic is trendy and comfortable. I highly recommend this establishment.

Excellent quad espresso and fantastic food with lots of vegan options! I got the lil breakfast burrito and the salsa made it. My partner had the biscuit w sausage and cheese and she said it was good. Clean quirky old school coffee house inside and super great service!

First time here, I came because of the reviews and location. I ordered the Mojo Jojo hot 12oz with two flavor shots raspberry and marshmallow. Man this is good coffee! I can taste the flavor shots very well, they aren't muddied together. The staff is kind and efficient, and the atmosphere is very peaceful with music at an easygoing volume that still allows for conversation. The choice of furniture is cozy and there's enough seating for about 15-20 people. They have their own parking lot as well.

Awesome Vegan and Vegetarian options. The “Treehugger” Breakfast wrap is amazing…absolutely perfect! The homemade “Cajun sauce” takes it to another level. Tried their recommended Moko Jono coffee with our meal and it’s delicious. They have lunch/dinner options too. Definitely give them a try if you’re in the area.

Love that there is lots of vegan food! Nice servers. The cool eclectic tables and chairs are fun.

Coffee was good! Prices are KIND of high, but I think standard for the area and type of food. Delicious options, vegan options, vegetarian options, and regular options :) service was nice.

This coffee bar has by far the best coffee that I have ever had! It is a small, quaint shop. It looks a little sketchy from the outside, by you can't judge a book by its cover. The coffee is not bitter, and much better than Starbucks. I got the Mo Jo coffee, which is their best seller. It is soy milk, coffee, soy condensed milk, and cinnamon! It was amazing! My brother and mom got a regular latte and they loved it. They make their own dairy free milk and soy condensed milk. They have a variety of dairy fee milk options. Also, they have a variety of different dessert to indulge in, including dairy free, gluten free and both options. You have to try the chocolate chip toffee cookie, the cherry-chocolate scone, and the gluten- dairy-free peanut butter brownie. I will definitely come back! It is a must try if you are in Orlando!!

Wonderful location with great decor. The Magic Panini was almost better than sex. The Mojo Coffee was worthy to be a spotlighted recipe

J

The vibe is different but every good coffee shop is. More hole in the wall feelings if nobody is there but plenty of locals know the spot and it gives a shoe relaxed feel when hanging out for coffee. Cool chill place with honestly amazing coffee their mojo jojo is on point and I don’t normally get that kind of coffee. The spicy salsa with their baby burrito is easily able to make it to a store shelf that stuff fire. Has a little bakery and good menu. Highly recommend

Eclectic corner coffee shop that I want to protect from evil irrealistic entitled people but alas I HAVE to leave a review as this is my 5th time visiting this establishment to escape from a very hectic corporate capitalistic world. Stephanie and Emily were holding the fort this Sunday and the quality did not lack. I ordered a tuna melt that comes with a small side of potato salad and ordered a Chai latte hot. It was delicious, made on the spot, they were clean and efficient. Never rude and always having good costumer service no matter how suddenly hectic it could get. I noticed it gets busy but in waves. I will be back again as I am appreciating the food and the chill ambiance.

This place is unusual with an alternative and urban feel to it. Coffee here is served in a tall glass cup with a strong flavor. Another gem found here is the Anzac cookies that are, like most of the menu, vegan friendly and delicious.

Stopped by here on our way back to Ocala and had a few good laughs with the guy working the drive through window. Really great Iced Blended Mocha's. My wife and my MIL loved them and said the coffee and flavor was great. They are very selective with the coffee they drink and really enjoyed the flavor. We will be back when coming to Orlando. Thank You Darren and Daniella

Had the SWAD(???) Impossible burger and potato salad and a vegan Mojo Jojo. All vegan, all amazing. The Impossible burger was SO DELICIOUS. Wow. Just wow! I’d never had the food but the coffee was amazing every time. I’m hooked.

Love this place!! The staff are nice and helpful. The furniture and tables are great! The only down side is trying to find an outlet to plug in your phone or computer to recharge, there are some outlets, but it would be better to show up with full battery or a battery bank just in case. Otherwise fantastic coffee bar, they have both food and coffee. As for coffee options, they have several different options if you can only have certain ingredients or if you want certain styles of coffee.

J
Jacob Adamczak

This little cafe offers excellent food and drinks. It is very small so I recommend avoiding during traditional lunch/dinner times however they do offer a drive through. Come here for good vibes and vegetarian friendly options!

P

Great tasting vegan/ vegetarian food! Atmosphere is very relaxing. One suggestion. Instead of using plastic cups for the potato salad is it possible to scoop the potato salad on the plate?

T

The Drunken Monkey is a cozy vegan haven with food that’s as comforting as it is creative. Everything bursts with flavor, and the menu has something for every craving. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting, and the staff’s kindness makes you want to linger over every bite. A true feel-good spot for great plant-based eats!

Drunken Monkey Coffee Bar is a unique blend of funky charm and serious coffee. The eclectic decor and laid-back atmosphere make it a great place to chill, study, or catch up with friends. Their drink menu is creative (try the frozen monkey!) and the food options, especially the vegan and vegetarian choices, are fresh and satisfying. A true local gem with personality!

Easy entry and parking (even a drive thru), this place has comfy seating, positive messaging, and a great coffee and food selection. Lots of sweet treats and veggie and vegan options too!

J

Digging the vibe of this place. Made a well balanced cappuccino. Like this place over the far more modern alternatives nearby that made a cold cappuccino which lead to visiting here right after! The random assortment of mugs for dine in is cool. Good selection of pastries. The peanut butter brownie looked thick and amazing, like 5x2x1 inches (Thick boy.) Give this place a shot.

I'm a bit of a coffee snob and this was really good coffee! The atmosphere was so relaxing, I could've sat there all day.

T
Taylor Daugherty

This place is a hidden gem if you have never been. So many vegan options, that taste AMAZING (no matter who you are). I have had nothing but positive interactions with the staff, and the food is great. They are taking Covid-19 regulations seriously too which is a huge plus in my book! I highly recommend this place for vegans and non vegans alike! Their coffee is some of the best in town too!

H
Heather Williams

Got the tree hugger wrap and the vegan sausage biscuit. It was really good. The vanilla latte was great too. The place was really cool

B
Brian Araujo

I absolutely love this place and it is an oasis for vegans. Absolutely recommend the Treehugger with the Cajun sauce. It's so good! The baked goods and cookies are so good. Try the Anzacs and the vegan brownies. Their coffee is rich and bold and the vibe there is very chic

F
Francisco “Dimitri” Denis

This is probably the best coffee spot in town. If you want a very unique coffee made exactly for you then there is no better place to go. They have hundreds of flavor combinations and every milk or non-milk option you can think of without the additional charge. Also they have really good food with options for meat eaters, vegetarians, and vegans. Honestly I could go on on about this place but you should just try it out.

K
Kayla Hunter

Such a neat little coffee shop! It looks like they have a lot of vegan and gluten free friendly options on their menu. They even have gluten free and vegan baked goods by the register! I got their gluten free and vegan banana peanut butter brownie and it was delicious! Not too sweet and the texture was perfect.

K
Kathy Dieppa

Been meaning to try this place for a while. It exceeded exceptions. Amazing coffee and food. We got an iced black coffee, tantric Mayan coffee (a mocha but better), the Porky’s biscuit, and Florentine croissant. Highly recommended. We’ll definitely be back again

B

Food was delicious, I am a vegetarian and got the good morning coraline. Also got a mojo jojo coffee which was one of the best cups of coffee I've ever had. Staff was pleasant, service quick. My wife is vegan and got the tree hugger which she loved.

R

Fantastic little place! The staff was super nice and helpful. There was a little issue with my food order but it was sorted out quickly and without fuss. The matcha tea I got was fabulous and the breakfast burrito was delicious! Just be careful in the parking lot, it's very tight and so is the drive thru. I will definitely be going back anytime I'm in Orlando!

C

This coffee shop is eclectic and fun. We loved that they sell local art (right off the wall) and it has a large menu of vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options (that actually are really good). Staff is really friendly and if you want a random burlap sack, they sell them! 🤣

J

The food was really good and our server cash was quite handsome and attentive to our party 5/5😁

One of Orlando's best vegan stops plus they have amazing coffee. We had the daily specials, a Chickun Tender Sandwich and BBQ Impossible Crumble Sandwich. Both came on a delicious ciabatta roll and had a side of potatoe salad. A new favorite stop.

I’m always on the lookout for good vegan food and Drunken Monkey has great egg alternative breakfast options with a vegan cajun mayo that is just amazing! My daughter and I go as often as we can.

Great for vegans! Lots of vegan options that I’m sure are delicious, but I couldn’t get past the tree hugger wrap. Also enjoyed the coffee and various vegan pastries and desserts! I liked being able to order online and pick up in drive through.

N

Gah, I just love their breakfast menu and coffee drinks. It's unique, vegan friendly and fresh tasting. I also love that their "flavor" options for coffee are more than most, I'm constantly trying new things because of this. Service is always a miss, they are there to take your order and serve.... definitely lacks that "welcome vibe" so I pretty much stick to drive thru these days but to be frank, this is the norm for most places these days so I'm not bothered, it just doesn't excite me to hang out there.

J
James Fauntleroy

Chill atmosphere with warm and inviting people. The food quality was wonderful with vegan and meat options. The drinks were in a wide variety and they also had comfortable seating with a lovely area to chat and/or read/study. I have frequented this shop multiple times and the workers are phenomenal. The prices are fair and the service is wonderful. Also, the baked goods ROCK! Get the banana nut or peanut butter brownies! It will change your LIFE!

The rare “authentic and local” experience in Orlando. The food is delicious, super vegetarian/vegan friendly, and the coffee is great. They are also super nice and support great progressive causes. Love Drunken Monkey!

Really great little spot! We were travelling from Canada and were always happy to find an LGBTQ friendly place with very friendly staff. Great food options for both plant based and non-plant based folks, great coffee as well! Definitely worth stopping in to grab a bite and a drink.

Awesome coffee shop to sit and work, Very chill atmosphere, great coffee and eclectic decor. I like that unlike most coffee shop, the lighting is more dim, which may not be for everyone, but it is one of the things that makes me chose to go here when I need a place to sit and work for a bit. Food is really good, a lot of vegetarian/vegan options and yes, they do have non vegetarian food as well. Staff has always been nice to me and I would recommend to anyone who needs a change of atmosphere.

Además, ¡tienen postres veganos y no veganos buenísimos!

A lot of good vegan and vegetarian choices here which is fabulous. The breakfast mini burrito was delicious. But the white bean chili: way too salty. Good coffee. Couldn't quite take the loud radio music before my first morning cup of coffee though.

Z
Zully Hernandez

This coffee shop has a very friendly and down to earth feel. They don't have a menu displayed by the drive thru but can serve up pretty much anything you request as far as lattes and teas. Drinks are served in biodegradable styrofoam cups. On my last visit I had a coffee and toasted everything bagel with cream cheese, which was pretty good. The coffee was okay. The cream cheese provided was from James Farm (NY). Note: I have only gone through the drive thru a couple of times and have yet to visit inside.

Very good coffee, unfortunately they didn’t many have no food options available but what they had was okay.

T

Good local hole-in-wall sort of place. Laid back, loads of vegan and vegetarian options. Note, some beverages and food items are pre-made which limits personalization (e.g. changing milk). Drive thru is handy, but more fun to go inside.

P
Paul Verrilli

Low key college vibe coffee shop with a unique menu. Lots of quick bite options for all types, including those with dietary restrictions. They have indoor, outdoor seating, and drive thru options. Also, they have merchandise for those cult followers who can't get enough of the place. I tried the Mojo Jojo Iced coffee and it was quite tasty. Would definitely return.

L

Good coffee; Service was meh. 🫤 We ordered 2 Vegan Sausage Biscuits, it was delicious but tiny. One of our biscuits was incomplete and we had to wait for the fix. Other than that, it’s a good option to have in the area.

D
Danielle Wilson

My fav Co worker took me here for lunch and I was excited because I've driven past it so many times! The atmosphere is very coffee shop cool.. Young.. And urban! Their menu scared me a little bit due to there being so many vegan options. I got a club pressed sandwich and it was so good! Will definitely go back to try more! Dew approved 😋👍🏽

I LOVE this coffee shop, I go here constantly for a drink and a snack. It's cozy, delicious, one of my fave places. My only complaint is that I feel they could fit a few more two-person tables in the main dining area. Half the time, when I come in and order food to eat, there's several four person tables with one person at each of them and then I have no where to sit with my soup, and taking it to go isn't always ideal, but there's people taking up entire tables with one coffee. There should be a few more smaller tables if possible! That way people who are just chilling with a coffee have more options for smaller tables but what do I know LOL anyways service is always incredible and I love this shop so much 10/10 recommend

I loved the vibes of this place! It’s very cozy and seems like a place great for studying or just chilling. The service was also amazing! Everyone was so nice and patient as I tried to figure out what I wanted. I wish i could say the coffee was good. I got the cold brew and it seemed a little watered down and low quality. I also didn’t see many non vegan options for pastries.

⸝⸝

Checked out this cafe because I read great reviews, but maybe I got the wrong drink because I thought the quality was about the same as Dunkin’. I got the Mojo Jojo, which tasted heavily of cinnamon rather than a balance of the flavors in the description. I will say it was a good portion size for $4.79, though. Also, the workers were friendly.

When I place my order I told the lady at the register to please make sure the egg is not burnt. I didn't get a picture of the first sandwich but the egg was burnt this is not the first time that this happened to me here. I was hoping that it would have change, so I returned the sandwich and this is the new one as you see. He bought it out with burnt cheese on the side of the sandwich. I waited for 15 minutes or more and I kept hearing the microwave door opening and closing, I don't own a microwave and when I had one I never used it, i know when my food was microwaved. The coffee is great, the setting is sooo peaceful and relaxing love it ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Thank you for the experience

I dunno, place didn’t really do it for me. Counter service. Insufficient indoor seating (I was there around 10:30am on Saturday and wound up having to take an outdoor table because there were no indoor tables left). Ordered a latte, but they served it in a regular coffee mug with no attempt at latte art. It was also fairly bland. The vegan banana nut brownie was also just ok, texture was not quite as fudgy as I prefer.

M
Mark Young

Really dirty. Old scarred tables and not wiped regularly. Food average at best. Floor was filthy. People were nice.

A
Alvin Agha

Has customer parking lot, thru traffic. Other than that things going not good. Not fan or a/c inside the store, ventilation system works not enough good, you feel not comfortable inside. It’s not a big deal! BIG ONE is, they are giving you hot coffee in TOXIC ⚠️ plastic cup and cap which is very bad for your health, and in long term use can be dangerous, and surprise you with a cancer.

A
Andrá Ramage

The coffee, which was your standard fare, was the second best part of this experience. The atmosphere was eclectic nostalgia, with a laid back rustic feel. The food was operant!!!

M
MTADS

Could not get past how dirty this place was so did not try the coffee or food. Windows when you walk up, floor when you walk in caked with dirt, looked back at kitchen and..... if the place itself is that dirty i can only imagine how they are treating the food and coffee prep stuff. Unfortunately I had high hopes

E
Emmy

atmosphere was nice, very cozy but they messed up my order. 4 sweetners on my matcha instead of 3, the matcha also tasted horrible. and they gave me a plain bagel instead of a everything bagel. very stingy on the cream cheese. i don’t think i’ll be returning.

R
Rilah

I was a loyal customer for a few years, but lately it’s been disappointing. The food quality is poor and seems like they have given up. I got a wrap that was described as having kale, BBQ jackfruit, quinoa, corn. The wrap had barely any jackfruit (definitely not BBQ) or kale. I think it’s time to part ways with drunken monkey. The cashier was very nice and accommodating, that was the highlight of my visit.

C
Carolyn Knight

Ordered 2 biscuits via doordash delivery and biscuits were very hard and dry as if they were made days ago. I even tried microwaving in a wet paper towel and still super dry and hard. I will definitely pass next time!

Bumby Avenue y Sus Alrededores: El Escenario Local

El Orlando Museum of Art y el Mennello Museum of American Art ofrecen colecciones impresionantes y exposiciones temporales.
