Tip: Visit during the week for the all-you-can-eat buffet from 11 to 2 for authentic Mexican cuisine.
A variety of delicious Mexican meal options and a great family friendly atmosphere are the notable plus points for this restaurant. Conveniently located just miles from interstate I-4 the location is in a large shopping plaza with plenty of parking. We loved the appetizer platter as well and we highly recommend this place for dinner or lunch!
I had such a wonderful experience dining here. The Mexican food is simply outstanding, full of rich and authentic flavors. Every dish was tasty, fresh, and beautifully prepared. The cocktails were just as impressive — creative, refreshing, and well-balanced. They paired perfectly with the food and kept the meal exciting. The portions are generous and truly satisfying. Service was amazing — attentive, friendly, and always with a smile. The whole atmosphere felt welcoming and lively. Overall, a perfect spot for great food, drinks, and vibes!
My wife and I have decided that this is one of our favorite Mexican restaurants ithat we have tried. We've been to dozens of Mexican restaurants in Arizona, Texas, etc and we decided that this is one of our must go to when we're in town! On week days, they have an all you can eat buffet (including desserts) and everything was top notched. We tried the tri-tip, which is not my favorite cut, but here, it was so tender, you can cut it with a fork. Of course, they had plenty of my favorites (Pazole, Chicken Tamales, a great Chicken stew) and plenty more to sample at the buffet. Our server, Carolina was the nicest and helpful person and plied us with Flan and Churros. We really haven't flown down to Florida in a while, but after a refresher meal Patron's, we will be flying back soon!
I had the most wonderful experience at this restaurant! From the moment I walked in, the staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. The customer service was absolutely amazing Valentina was so friendly, attentive, and genuinely cared about making sure we had a great time. The food was absolutely delicious everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. You can really taste the love and authenticity in every bite. To top it all off, they surprised me with a special birthday dessert, which made the evening extra memorable. They even had someone taking professional photos for souvenirs, which was such a fun and unique touch that made the night even more special.
⭐ Review: El Patrón – Orlando We visited El Patrón here in Orlando, and wow — what an amazing experience. They offer an all-you-can-eat from 11 to 2, and the food is truly authentic Mexican cuisine at its best. There’s a bit of everything, fresh flavors, generous portions, and that homemade touch that makes you feel like you’re actually in Mexico. If you’re a real coffee lover, you’re going to be obsessed. Their espresso is outstanding — rich, bold, and truly satisfying. And the desserts… delicious! Their churros are perfect: crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, sweet without being overwhelming. The place is beautiful and full of natural light, giving it a warm, inviting vibe. Our server was incredible — she carried what looked like 10,000 heavy plates on one tray with the grace and balance of someone from Cirque du Soleil. A performance all on its own. In short: 100% recommended. Exceptional food, fantastic service, and a beautiful atmosphere. Looking for a great spot to eat in Orlando? ✨ Save this post for your next lunch date and check out El Patrón — you’re going to love it. #OrlandoFoodie #ElPatronOrlando #AllYouCanEat #MexicanFood #OrlandoEats #FoodReviews
Great and very delicious mexican food! Our server, Andres, really made us feel welcomed and he took great care of us. We had the guacamole, steak quesadillas, churros and spicy margaritas. Everything was excellent and we will be back to El Patron!!
This is not the first time I’ve been here but it’s the first time for my husband. He initially did not want to have Mexican on this trip because we eat it so much in our hometown. But I told him he would not be disappointed if we came here. He definitely was not! Everything that we had including the service and the atmosphere was absolutely fantastic! This is the only Mexican place I want to go and all of Orlando or possibly even Florida for that matter.
On vacation looking for good lunch and found great lunch! Wonderful margaritas, guacamole was huge and fresh! I got pollo loco and my husband got shrimp tacos- huge portions but also the ingredients were fresh and delicious . The hostess was very nice and our bartender /server Patricia was amazing! We’ll definitely come back on our next trip here! Ps. If you like hot sauce - get their house made mango habanero hot sauce!
We did the lunch buffet for a birthday celebration and it was really a nice time. We went early and it wasn't busy or noisy. Food was delicious with plenty of options. Enjoyed making my own tacos and taco bowl with hot queso. Only thing didn't care for was the churros dessert as it was hard and flavorless. Overall would go back again soon.
Great margaritas that taste.like.theres alcohol in them. Kids meal, $17 for some.strip steak.and fries was.really expensive, and then $4 for apple juice. Tacos were really good, but the place is pricey.
The service and the food were so good! Special thanks to Carol who is really kind and sweet. She took photos and came out beautiful! She is awesome! Thanks to the rest of the servers as well who really made our dinner and my sister birthday great.
6/5 stars our sever Yovany Was Amazing, Friendly, and very helpful, such a kind soul. The food was amazing everything was made fresh by hand even the tortillas and chips! Highly recommend and will be coming back .
Several people recommended this restaurant to me, and it definitely lived up to the hype! The ambiance is vibrant, with colorful banners and plenty of space to sit and relax. One pleasant surprise was how clean the bathroom was, probably one of the cleanest I’ve seen in a restaurant. The staff are all incredibly friendly and happy to offer recommendations. There’s even a photographer named Maria who kindly asks if you’d like a family photo, which adds a personal touch to the experience. They also have a lively Mariachi band that sings and plays beautifully, I highly recommend requesting a song if you’re celebrating a special occasion. Now, onto the food: from the very first bite, everything was delicious. The tacos are packed with flavor, and the guacamole is super fresh. The birria taco was loaded with meat and tasted amazing. Even the chips were fresh and crispy. I also ordered a cocktail, which was beautifully presented and tasted just as good as it looked. All in all, I had a great experience and will definitely be coming back!
We discovered El Patron through an online recommendation, and we were delighted to find that it was right on target. Great food, great atmosphere, friendly and courteous staff. We were served some of the better Mexican food we've had in the last few years. If we had any complaint it would be that the food was not quite spicy enough, but even so, everything was delicious. Highly recommended.

Restaurant has been remodeled since I visited 3 years ago. New menus and prices. Food quality still very good but is not as affordable as it used to be. Plenty of free parking. Service was friendly.

My Family and I visited this location for brunch on 8/31/25, the buffet had a great variety of food breakfast/dinner along with delicious desserts, the service was amazing Olivia our server made sure we were always topped off on our drinks and we had everything we needed they also had a taco stand right outside the door that was included on the brunch buffet will definitely recommend this restaurant

Pati was a wonderful and knowledgeable server. Frank was a personable photographer. The food was DELICIOUS!. Wonderful surprise of guacamole with chicharrones (a must order). Our meals came out quickly and hot.

We had a wonderful experience here! The food was great and the service was truly impressive - the "happy faces" from the staff made the whole atmosphere feel very pleasant. To top it off, Maria handles the photo service at the restaurant and was fantastic. She took some great shots of us, gave us one photo for free, and offered the option to purchase more. It was a lovely way to create a physical memory that we can take back from our vacation. Highly recommend!
The food was delicious and came quickly. Loved the Guacamole and Salsa. We ordered the CocoLoco margarita with the spicy twist. Very tasty. The restaurant is clean and also offers complimentary photos which are a wonderful souvenir especially if you are on vacation. Augusto the photographer was so nice and our waiter Andres was wonderful. Highly recommend this restaurant when you are looking for a great Mexican restaurant.
Enjoyed the Mexican food in a buffet format for lunch. Very good variety and quality of food to choose from, including selections of meat choices. Dinningroom was clean, with comfortable padded chairs. Clean restrooms and friendly staff. Dessert offerings were a delightful surprise, very tasty and freshly prepared. Although a little pricey for lunch, our group decided it was worth it.
Outstanding experience from start to finish! Alex, our waitress, was phenomenal—attentive without being intrusive, full of spot-on recommendations, and constantly checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. While we waited for our food, he kept bringing thoughtful extras that made us feel genuinely taken care of. The flavors at this restaurant exceed any Mexican restaurant I’ve tried, including local mom-and-pop spots. This place perfectly blends the bold, authentic salsas and flavors of Mexico with an elevated, upscale dining experience. Every bite was rich, balanced, and clearly crafted with intention. And the desserts? Absolutely unforgettable. The tres leches and churros are de otro planeta—hands down some of the best I’ve ever had. If you’re looking for authentic Mexican flavor taken to the next level, paired with exceptional service, this place is a must-visit. We’ll 100% be back.
We love coming to El Patron whenever we visit Ocala! The food is authentic and wonderful and the service is always great. Our Server today was Vianney and she is such an amazing friendly person. So friendly and knowledgeable about the food! Today I ordered Steak Quesadillas which are huge and full of tender steak , peppers and onions. My husband had Chicken Toluca, which is topped with a cheese and Chorizo sausage sauce. Excellent!
LOVE this place. Let me start by saying, we came here for the bottomless mimosas and buffet brunch during my sister’s bachelorette party. Not only was the food outstanding and the mimosas tantalizing but the waitress (Patty or Patricia) was so attentive and caring. The entire staff including the GM Pedro made the whole brunch experience so enjoyable for all of us. If you’re even slightly considering going here, please DO IT! Thank you so much to the team at El Patron! P.s. we did make a reservation for our party of 7, highly recommend.
We had some great food and some not so great food here. The tacos, burritos and chicken chimichanga were delicious the chimichanga was way to small for the price though. My dad got the quesadilla and didn't eat it he said it had no flavor. Also the hb meat chimichanga was not good either. Not sure if this would be a repeat restaurant for me.
I visited El Patron Mexican Restaurant and unfortunately my experience was disappointing, especially considering the price. I ordered the churrasco, and it seemed like the meat had been previously frozen and quickly reheated on the grill. It arrived lukewarm and the flavor was not pleasant. The rice was also cold, and overall the food temperature made the meal feel poorly prepared. We also ordered queso blanco with tortillas. That dish was okay — nothing special, but acceptable. The piña colada, however, was actually very good and probably the highlight of the meal. My husband also ordered a beer, and we shared a tres leches dessert. In the end, the bill came to about $120. For that price, I expected much better quality. Unfortunately, the food felt mediocre to poor, and I would not consider it good value for the money.
Any taco truck is better than that restaurant. The buffet was like leftovers, the meat was greasy, and the white rice was dry. The margarita was more like ice water and not worth $17. Guacamole and dessert were not included in the buffet. The waitress brought us regular price margaritas instead of the specialty ones, then said she made a mistake. I absolutely don't recommend eating here. This restaurant's Taco Tuesday buffet is very poor quality. Absolutely not worth the money.
