At La Granja Alafaya, we're passionate about serving up delicious Latin-inspired cuisine that's as vibrant as our community. Our customers rave about our mouthwatering dishes, like our signature "La Granja Super Bowl" bowl, packed with flavorful habichuela negras, rice, and tender steak. Whether you're in the mood for a satisfying sandwich or a hearty plate of fajitas, we invite you to join us at La Granja Alafaya, where flavor and hospitality come together in a cozy Orlando setting.
La Granja Alafaya is known for its flavorful Latin cuisine, especially the steak fajitas and the "La Granja Super Bowl". Customers praise the generous portions and friendly service, but some have reported issues with order accuracy and inconsistent food quality.
Tip: The "La Granja Super Bowl" is highly recommended for its flavorful Latin taste and generous serving size.
Came in for the chicken and left super satisfied. The black beans and rice was spot on. Our table server was very nice and attentive. The tables were clean and the ambient music complemented the meal. Make sure you try their sauces!
First time here, and I was pleasantly surprised. The food has great flavor. We had the chicken and steak fried rice, and the Lomo saltado both were good. Their salsas are also really good. Staff was also nice, and the service was great. (Their fried rice is better than the local Chinese fried rice, in my opinion) Give it a try if you haven't yet and like flavorful Peruvian food.
I try to take out any bias from the fact this is where me and my wife shared our first kiss as a couple here together years ago. But the food options have come such a long way. We’re big on Palacio De Los Jugos in Miami and we love the food trucks of Kissimmee but when it comes to options and experience, La Granja does not disappoint. Never would I think a fast food joint like this would have seafood, ribs, and the sandwiches it has to offer. Really blown away by the quality of food and the options. My wife has the churrasco because she can afford meals off the value menu because she climbs the corporate ladder. I took it easy on the check and had a sandwich and split an empanada with my son. There’s something for everyone here. Definitely pull over if you’re hungry and you see a La Granja
The food here is always great! The prices has changed significantly. This meal use to be $7.95,now it’s $11+. Nevertheless, Chicken was well seasoned, the rice was so nice &fluffy and my how I love their plantain. It came with a soda of your choice. I highly recommend
I ordered beef sote today with an Empanada. Empanada should be more softer than this, but okay. Beef Sote was very good. The most beautiful part was Potato Fries comes with no salt which was perfect. I don't like salt on fries, they are very good about that. Thank you 😃
Their lomo saltado (beef sautee) and pollo saltado (chicken sautee) are unbelievably delicious. I've had it so many times I've lost count. I use the drive-thru, so when I get home I put the fries and rice in a pot, then pour the pollo/lomo on top and stir to evenly distribute the juices. Their ceviche is also really good and perfectly seasoned. I was hesitant to try it first, because I thought it was a fast food chain, but it's actually a restaurant that happens to have a drive-thru window.
An amazing spot to eat with family, where i truly recommend a number 2 combo with some yellow rice!!! Do not forget the onion bar, that has up to 4 different flavors!! I love the pico de gallo with the yellow rice and black beans!!! This place is always clean!!!
Food is sooo good. Perfect hispanic comfort food at reasonable prices.
The food is delicious. The specials are well proportioned and some include a beverage. The "Toppings Bar" includes 4 different flavors.
What a great place what a great managment ! Food delicious! Fresh! It was our first time definitely will be back !
The menu item I picked was the seafood and rice Dinner. The portion was very adequate and delicious. I thought the prices were a little on the high side, but it was well worth it. 😉
Super delicious food and not a long wait. Steak or chicken, both are grilled to perfection. Sautéed onions, tostones or maduros . It's great!
Prepare yourself if you get there at lunch time. Many customers present. But waiting time for your order is less then 5 minutes. Kudos to the cooks in the kitchen 👏 and kudos to the front counter employees 👏
La Granja has not failed me yet. Every dish you order is prepared fresh and well. If you're looking for great Spanish foods, it's a must!
The food was very good when I came in, and the workers a bilingual which helped me out. The bathroom was messy, but besides that I had a great experience.
One of my favorite restaurants in Orlando the garlic fish and shrimp with sweet plantains taste like you're sitting on a beach in the Caribbean service is great the food is delicious awesome selection of desserts my go-to when I need a yummy meal fast
They were very polite at the counter as they took our order. They were polite the food was good! And we received our food in a timely manner👏😊 Thank for being respectful and caring your customers!😊👍
I have tried this restaurant a few times now and there are so many options! Everything I have tried so far is delicious and flavorful and the portions are really good as well. Highly recommend!
The empanadas and chicken fried rice are heaven plus the sauces!
First time here loved it, waitresses were very friendly food was great prices good Would highly recommend.
Excellent!!! Amazing flavor & portions! Lunch specials!! Dining room on point! Staff a service so pleasant !
Got the pounded out pork and chicken cutlets with black bean and rice and it was so good!!! Lots of yummy sauces to try as well. Definitely going back!
This is a fantastic spot to grab a quick, delicious meal. The staff is professional and friendly. I absolutely love coming here.
Nice new location. Like the other locations the food is good and consistent. The chicken and rice is good. I will definitely go back to this location.
An absolute gem! The food is incredible and the servings are for those with insatiable appetites. We had Super Bowls...and they didn't disappoint. A bit of wait, but definitely worth it.
We had a group of 10 and ordered a soup and steak super bowl. We did not finished and got Togo boxes to eat at home. The Tostones while still good could have been better as they were cooked a while ago and not fresher. Maduros were excellent though.
I have been coming to this place for over a month now. I genuinely love the food. The fried rice and chicken wings are my favorite! However I will say that it can get a bit busy and the quality drops a bit when that happens. That is my only critique and hope that they can get more support to avoid that.
I had the burrito bowl my husband had the pork bowl. He said it’s the best bowl he’s ever had. Mine was very tasty as well. Will be back here.
Very good place to eat, I got the sauteed beef with rice and french fries. I ordered a hamburger to go for work the next day. Both were very good and I ate the hamburger cold at work and it was still very good.
The food is always flavorful!
Food is always good and fresh. This location don't miss!!
It was awesome. I recommend going for lunch to catch the lunchtime prices.
Everything here is made absolutely fresh. There has not been anything on the menu that I have disliked yet. Lomo, fried whole fish, Hispanic version of lomein, bowls, the chicken soup is refreshing; I was surprised by the small bits of ginger in it. Delish! Sorry. Next time I'll take pics for you.🤗
Service was a bit slow, yelling numbers interested of handing out a pager. They did had a lady very attentive in the dining room area quickly retrieving plates and cleaning tables. We will return
Went today, and customer service was excellent and food was amazing. Food was so fresh, hot and delicious. The guy at the drive thur was very helpful and courteous. Thank you for an overall great experience.
Little expensive but food still good
It’s crazy to see the bad reviews because I went through drive through 40 mins ago, ordered and got my food within a few mins. It taste fresh with flavor. Very delicious. Will be going back lol
Very nice place, La Granja is a heartwarming chain that honestly deserves the world. I never in my life had a bad experience in one of their restaurants and this location is not the exception. The employees are always so welcoming, hardworking, friendly, and polite. You can feel the love when trying their food. La Granja has been there for me throughout my life for so many years and they had always been super consistent and memorable. Thank you for providing such a beautiful and meaningful experience. ❤️
Excellent service and experience. I tried the Pork Tamales, and are really delicious.
The food is delicious. It's not really fast and I believe that it's because they cook it fresh when you order it. I love the fried fish. They give you good portions. I haven't been to others but this is my go to for delicious food made fresh
I really like the food they sell. The flavor is very good, especially the beans, the steak menu, and the chicken. My family loves the food from this place a lot. They have affordable prices, but not super cheap. I think the service they offer is very good since the staff is very attentive. They have drive-thru service and are located in a quiet place.
Can’t beat the lunch special. It’s my favorite thing on the menu. Really don’t like how small the pieces of steak are and most of them are just fatty pieces so that’s always disappointing. Wouldn’t order a steak dish again, but the noodles, rice/beans, chicken are amazing and what keeps me coming back. The sauces are really good too. Great service.
This place is a slice of Peru in Orlando. I had gotten so used to Peruvian food in Miami and thought I have to settle for less in Orlando. But it doesn't disappoint. It's my favorite comfort food place. I'd take pics of what I'm eating but I can't wait long enough to devour it all before my camera and phone even comes out. Staff is extremely friendly. Don't miss out.
I was pleasantly surprised at the quality and quantity of food since this seemed to resemble a fast food place and is even located in an old Burger King. However, there were lots of staff and the food was fresh and so well prepared. I got the fried mixed seafood and was not disappointed. The breading was light and crispy and the variety of seafood on the plate was amazing. My friend had steak that was seasoned well and very tender. The other friend opted for chicken that was a great portion and fell off the bone. I had Yucca done to perfection and they both had the black beans which they said were done perfectly (not hard and not mushy). I will definitely go back!
The food is great. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Some of our favorite dishes are sauted beef with noodles, sauted beef with rice, fajitas, 1/2 chicken, fried yucca and fried plantains, and more. They also have sandwiches for a delicious and light lunch.
After 2 years of being a loyal customer, spending a minimum of $100 weekly in this establishment, sadly to say I have to part ways. See, my 4 year old only eats rotisserie chicken and rice, and he loves la granja. So every day I buy him half of chicken with rice and beans and on the weekends we visit as a family. Today I was asked to remind the staff of the specials they run and advertised everyday of their whole chicken with rice and beans for $18.50 plus tax or else I was going to be charged the normal price, according to management this is a directive from the owner. I don't see why I need to remind their staff on how to do their job or remind them of the specials they run. It's sad to see specials being advertised, but if you as a client don't ask for the special, we get charged the full amount. Thank you for 2 great years, but my money will go to where it is valued.
Great food we ended up getting there within an 1/2 hr of them closing (so we took it togo) and they still treated us very well. Food was better than south FL locations. Not sure what their doing but keep it up!!!
The food here is absolutely delicious. From the rice, steak, and lemonade, it is all good. It does does a bit of time to get your food, because everything is made fresh. It is a bit pricey, but the 44 filler family meal feeds a family of 5 with a bit leftover. (As long as 1 person doesn't care about having a drink)
Love, love, love their chicken! The quality of the food is always on point. Our family typically gets the half chicken meals with rice, beans and tostones for a little extra. I cater the chicken from them for special events too and guests always enjoy!
La Granja is always well cooked, fast, on time and staff very friendly. Meals got pricey lately but these are big portions. Always good with the steak, chicken or fish.
As always, I love this restaurant. I have been to at least three different locations. They always serve good food. It is cooked fresh on their grill and tastes more like home cooked food. Love it!
Just amazing. Lots of food of good quality and flavor. I love this place
I have heard great things of La Granja in South FL. Was shocked to see there was so many in Orlando next to my sister’s house. EVERYTHING was great from the garlic fish to the chicken and sauces. Way better than Pollo Tropical! I wish they will expand to Jacksonville. A must have in Orlando.
It's open! I went around 5:30 and it was extremely busy. Waited almost 40 minutes for take out. Hence the 4 stars for now. Perhaps during lunch, because if it's location, might be less busy/crowded. I asked if this is because it just opened up and was told that it will always be this busy. Space inside to order and eat is very small. However, falvour of chicken is BIG.The lady on the floor was very friendly and helpful.
Awesome Hispanic flavor. Rice was a nice texture and the chicken was cooked well. Only thing they r missing is fresh avocados 🥑
This food is so so good! But the inside execution is a disaster. I wish there was more space so that each order would be executed by order and in a timely fashion definitely recommended food
Good Latin food at a good price. Spicy fish with shrimp, rice, and beans and plantain was tasty. They also have great specials.
Bit pricey for most items, but after doing takeout 3 different times, discovered that the 'bowls' were really great. Would definitely recommend.
The food is great. They have great sauces but you have to ask for them. I would order this place all the time but they don’t let you add the sauce online, and it’s not worth eating without it,
Food is really good! Garlic fish and shrimp is a favorite. The tostones very good! Was told to try yuca fries (next time). Love the new location near us on alafaya. Convenient for sure but lines always long in drive thru, usually have to wait a bit or pull up. And they are a bit pricey but worth it.
If anybody is looking for a place, where the atmosphere is relaxed, no dress code, the staff super friendly and helpful, and the food is very good, then stop looking, you found the perfect place. In the available food options, there are some things for every taste,, but taking in consideration that this is a place for latin style food,, Yuca frita, tostones or plátanos maduros fritos, ( Fried casava, fried green banana or fried suit plantain,,) is just an excellent example, black beans with white rice,, something every person should tried, before leaving this world, LOL.. Meat, fish, shrimps, etcetera, etcétera. And the best thing,, there is La Granja restaurants in multiple locations around the city,, next time you see one,, stop and give them a try,,
They were good when they first open. However, it has gone downhill since then. Portions and food quality are just average. If you don't mind paying full service restaurant prices in a fast food atmosphere, then this will be ok. For the record last time I visited, I ordered the Beef Sauteėd (Lomo Salteado) and honestly they served me an Onion Sauteėd with very little steak (Cebolla Salteada...). I showed the plate to the manager in charge and unfortunately she quickly dismiss my concern saying it was fine. If you read others reviews here you will notice that other reviewers noting the heavy use of onions on their plate with very little protein. Update 10/17/23. Management seems to have listen to many of the reviews regarding the amount onions on plates. My beef sauted had light onions and management was quick to fix any concerns I had. Staff was welcoming and friendly. Great turn around. Thank you.
The food is amazing, the staff is great., but the outside is a mess. The landscaping is not maintained. There are thick weeds around the building and trash throughout the parking lot. I was hoping it would improve after BK left. But it looks worse.
Quality and ambience similar to other La granja locations in Miami. Service and food taste was good.
Went INSIDE this time. For someone not fluent in Spanish you may find it easier to order face to face. The young lady helped me to decide what to get and place my order. The food came out hot, fresh and tasty.
This my third time coming. The first time the food was delicious The second time it was Ok but not like the first time , the third time I ordered hot wings the worst mistake I made . The wings were still frozen and had a dirty taste . Drive-through very busy the wait is extremely long . Customer service was ok . I hate the fact That the dumpster is by drive-through The smell makes you not want to order
They told me it will open today May 25th 2022. I'm about to go check it out. Love the Lomo Saltado, but it is getting very pricey, about 20 bucks if you order it with a Inca kola, which is 2.50 per can, highway robbery, I can buy a 2 liter inka cola at the publix for that price. Should be 1 dollar at most. Fml if they keep raising prices I will not be going back. THEY KEEP ON RAISING PRICES EACH WEEK IT SEEMS 😤
Have had the steak sautéed it was very good. The empandas however not good(not much filling & greasy) The gumbo was really bad. The shrimps all 3 of them had the tails on and over cooked, the tiny scallops (dime size) were so tough at first I wasn't even sure what they were. There was alot in there that was unrecognizable.
Food is tasty but they did not pay attention to properly resupplying their sauces against the back wall. Attendant was very annoying in that she was constantly hovering over you to take away plates from you even if you were not finished.
The food was kinda plan but the workers were really nice
The food is pretty good but the do fry the foods together. So the fried plaintains absorb the flavors and tastes like a ton of different things- shrimp, fish, etc.
This place has good food just getting expensive everytime and not worth it.
Didn’t have many items I’ve eaten at other La Granjas, the workers spoke no English so i felt pressured to just order anything but they were also out of chicken and was told it would be a 40 min wait for chicken while there wasn’t even anyone in line in the mid afternoon. I’m Spanish but think people should be able to understand enough English to answer questions about their menu.
Chicken was okay. Not a ton of flavor. The rice was oily??? The red beans were very good. 12oz soda was $2.75!! Glad I asked for light ice or it would have cost a buck a sip. No sauce or salsa or bread included.
I like La Granja. Have been going for years. Lunch special is a good value. I was not that impressed with this new store however. Our chicken was very dry/burnt. Didn't find out until we reached home. We went through the drive through which was a mistake. Better to go inside so you can check your order and get condiments
I spent 45 minutes in their drive thru. The first night they opened, experience was great. The cashier didn't hand me a pen to give them a tip. Memorial Day is when I spent nearly an hour in their drive thru. She handed me a pen and I felt obligated to tip when this is a very poor experience. Hopefully they work out the kinks soon and the smoke you can see they have inside. The food is good but I've only had it once so far cause I'm still in this line waiting for my food. They told me to pull up and waiting at the door. Then I get home and the order is wrong. 😭 Why did I leave a tip?
I think their food is tasty and good value; however the wait on the drive thru is crazy. I have been here for 22 minutes and I am not to the pick up window yet. They need to get better
So we love this place, but unfortunately if you do not speak Spanish they will every time mess your order up!... So for $13 a chicken dish there should never be a mistake.
Ordered a whole chicken was missing two pieces so it wasn’t enough for the family then the chicken was dry and overcooked seems like they gave us chicken they were trying to get rid of. Won’t be back to this location
This restaurant was wonderful when they first opened and I left rave reviews. Customer service and food was great. Over the past year, especially the past 6 months, both have significantly declined. The food is hit or miss and the english spoken is a struggle. I shouldn’t have to pull out google translate in the drive thru to place an order. Hopefully, the customer service and food will eventually be restored to the original days this location opened.
We usually go to this location and every time it gets worse. Today we ordered three meals and after having to wait in the number 1 parking space for 15 minutes, we received the wrong order. The women that delivered it were talking amongst themselves and didn't confirm the order upon delivery. We were never given a receipt and only noticed the meals were wrong after we had delivered two of them. Then when my father was about an hour away and about to sit down to eat his, the meal had shrimp and he is deadly allergic to it. When we called the location, we spoke to the manager, Javier, who told us to just take it back today or any other day. Like there was no customer service whatsoever. There were so many ways of handling this including not making us drive hours later to deliver the food they made wrong. I won't be going to this location ever again and will be sharing this with all my friends and family since it definitely wasn't the first time this situation has happened to us. But today was our limit. Edit: Picture of food attached.
Horrible. I order a jalea through Uber eats, everything was over fried, burned, I tried to eat what I could but very disappointed. Everything tasted like burn oil, the “fat” that I spend $25 plus delivery charges to get this. Is very upsetting. Do not recommend it. First and last time buying from this restaurant.
Horrible. They gave me a steak sandwich with old whopper buns and old Burger King fries. We obviously know that location was a Burger King before it was La granja. I didn’t know I would be paying for basically a whopper with a thin piece of steak.
This store may be new but there food is not good. Food taste like they just batch cook. Meaning cook it sell it. The Semaron store is quite different. Food is delicious over there like they put more time in seasoning their food and it’s delicious. I live closer to the Alafaya store but would definitely go to Semoran.
My wife and I absolutely hate this place after several tries to give them a chance. Every dish you order that has onions, will include nothing but onions! Beef sauteed noodles, any of the "bowls" all come served with all onions and very little protein or much else. Nearly every dish is overly salty, but somehow miraculously still lacks any flavor. Just the taste of salt and no seasonings. Stay clear and away!
This is a new restaurant in the Waterford Lake/ Eastwood area. I was excited about their grand opening, however that excitement quickly turn into a big disappointment. When I order my food to go, got home open up the container, and Boom instantly my blood pressure shot up. The food was so Salty that my husband and I couldn't eat the food. We spent 50 dollars in this restaurant which is not alot but it's lot when you are unsatisfied with the food. I pack everything up & return to the restaurant let the manager know how heavy handed his cook was with the salt. We got our money back and LA Granja don't have to worry about us ever returning....
Waited in the drive through line for I kid you not, an hour and a half, for chicken. No way to leave the drive through as there's barriers up, and there was cars in front and behind me. I had to sit there for an hour and a half, to get cold food. When calling the restaurant, no one spoke English, and an oven was broken. The English speaking isn't the issues, what is an issue is keeping the store open, when you can't cook anything. After calling them I was put on hold after telling them I've been in line for over an hour, they hung up on me. Avoid like the plague until they work the kinks out.
Its total basic authentic Mexican food, It's gross. I would not go back, the seafood from the bottom and it's disgusting and the cilantro seasoning sticks to your taste buds... it's authentic Mexican food come if you like that kind of thing go for it but it's not for me
If I could put zero stars I would. I put a ToGo order inside and waited over 35 minutes while people who ordered after me both in the drive thru and inside have received their orders and have left. They lied to me and said half the order was ready, then they said they had to take care of the drive thru, meanwhile people who ordered well after us have already received their food and left again both inside and in the drive thru. Not a single person worked on my order, yet it seemed to be our fault for complaining. Will never go back! Poorly run business and does not care about paid customers!
I came here with my Wife and Service Dog and We ordered food with my Wife. The service from the Manager who took my order was disgusting. He had a awful attitude and on top of my order not being correct, he didn't even want to rectify it. $36.94 I spent and he treated me as if he doesn't need my business. Who wants to visit a place like that? Never again will I return to ANY of these locations named La Granja. Avoid having the same experience I did. Don't spend your money that you work hard for here, Go somewhere else for Spanish food.
What a shame. Hard meat and the flavor was very vinegary, chicken very dry, ordered half a chicken got home 15 minutes later to open a up a quarter chicken. Very simple order but they still managed to mess it up. Not worth the trip.
This was my first visit to your establishment, although I frequently drive past. My order, if I recall correctly, was a cheeseburger. However, the burger was excessively burnt, suggesting inadequate grill cleaning. The burnt taste completely overwhelmed any other flavor.
If you want raging diarrhea, then this is the place for you. Fried rice was extremely greasy, and the ceviche was definitely not fresh. Lucky I didn't get food poisoning. Disgrace to peruvian cuisine. I'd give it negative stars if I could.
