LakeHouse Orlando Reviews
The food was good! The steak was good. I really enjoyed the cheese burger. The lentil chili was good! The mango cheese cake was great. We stayed at the Hyatt so this was a great option. They had a good amount of gluten free choices as well as vegan options. Michelle the server was really good! Kevin was great as well.
The Grand Cypress Hyatt Hotel is a wonderful place to stay. The pool is large and cavernous, complete with a waterfall that makes it feel like a little escape. The rooms are clean, spacious, and comfortable, and the lobby is absolutely beautiful. The buffet is pretty good overall, though the omelet was a bit of a letdown—overcooked and dry. Aside from that small hiccup, everything else was nearly perfect. I would definitely return here with my family.
The breakfast buffet is AWESOME! The price ($32) appears steep but the quality and quantity of food makes it well worth it. They have a made-to-order omelet station, fresh pancakes, amazing donuts and pastries, and fresh fruit. Service was also very good. We came back for dinner later in the trip and it was decent, but breakfast is where it’s at. Under no circumstances should the calamari be ordered; it was super chewy and fat as my thumbs.
I've never had better resort food in my life! (That's saying a lot) I was impressed that they had short rib on the menu and overstimulated at how great it was (didn't stop me from eating it all in one entranced sitting). Came back for breakfast the next morning and was just as happy. 👍🏽👍🏽
We had dinner plans for another restaurant that ended up falling through so this was a last minute change that turned out to be such a great experience! Beautiful location with tall windows looking out onto lush landscaping and peaceful water. Our waiter was delightful and very helpful - providing excellent service. The food was delicious and the menu had enough variation in tastes and price but wasn't overwhelming. 10/10 would recommend!
We were looking for somewhere to go after an evening at Epcot, we come to this property all the time but hadn’t come to eat at this restaurant yet and boy have we been missing out! To start off an incredible experience was our server/bartender Brian! I mean wow we would go back alone just for him.. he offered fantastic service and great recommendations! We enjoyed the chili edamame (SO good, not spicy just wonderful flavor), the crab avocado dip and THE BUFFALO CHICKEN PIZZA! Wow- this pizza was PHENOMENAL! We left full and happy, and excited to go back on our next stay!
If you are coming here just for dinner, do valet parking because they validate. The self parking feels like it is closer to park at Disney, so do your feet a favor and valet. The LakeHouse is a feast for your eyes both inside and out, however, the beauty of the outside view dissipates as the sun goes down. Service was friendly and attentive. Thankfully the food matched the decor and was palate pleasing. The one app that stuck out for me was the fried calamari. It did not look anything like the hundreds of calamari preceding. The dish looked more like fried zucchini, but tasted like freshly caught squid. Also tried the sea dragon sushi roll. The tempura shrimp was fantastic, however I was disappointed with the dismal amount of cream cheese on there. The pork chop was tasty, but overcooked and dry. For dessert, the s’mores cheesecake was a decadent surprise. The marshmallow topping and sweet chocolate resting on top of the creamy cake made for a great way to end the night. Overall, it was a pleasant experience and I would come back.
LakeHouse is a wonderful restaurant, for both breakfast and dinner! We ate here for our wedding rehearsal dinner recently, and had a wonderful time. We were treated with top-notch service, the food was incredibly flavorful and hit the spot, and the atmosphere was awesome! The staff truly went above and beyond to make sure we had the best possible time. Everything from their garlic bread to the braised short rib to the soups, salads, fish, and desserts…was all awesome! We even had a set menu, which generally isn’t as good as a full menu at most places, and the food was even better than many restaurants’ full menus! We also had breakfast here the day after the wedding. They have an excellent breakfast buffet much better than most hotels in the US. US hotel chains generally have pretty disappointing breakfasts, but not here! Hyatt has literally anything you could want for breakfast - coffee, tea, juices, milk, cereal, omelet station, meats, cheeses, waffles, French toast, pancakes, eggs, fruit, breakfast potatoes, many different types of spreads with a wide variety of baked goods and pastries, and so much more! It’s definitely worth having breakfast here, and be sure to have dinner at LakeHouse at least once during your stay! Excellent restaurant!
Phenomenal food! Located in the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress Resort—decent sized restaurant with an awesome breakfast buffet, lunch/dinner options, as well as a full bar. The breakfast buffet had nearly everything you could ever want—and everything was fresh, warm, and delicious! The burger and broken lasagna (my two dinner meals) were also fantastic. And the s’mores cheesecake was to die for. Definitely check this place out if you are staying at the hotel!
Best waiter I've ever experienced in my life! So attentive and on top of every detail. Best caesar salad dressing I've ever tasted! Loved the fondue. Loved tge braised short ribs with sweet potatoes. Wow!!!!!!! Pizza was good too.
Amazing food. Ate here multiple times while staying in the hotel. Fried chicken sandwich, hamburger, and short ribs were all excellent. Crab and avocado dip was so good. The breakfast buffet was also very good. Kind waiters and waitresses. All were polite and attentive.
This is a fantastic hotel restaurant. It’s bright with all to all windows and light! There are rushes so service is slower at times which is understandable. The breakfast buffet was awesome! We ate it three days in a row. Ooooops. The eggs were fluffy. There was a yogurt bar that had countless toppings. Muffins, breads, the possibilities seemed endless. We had dinner there one night for convenience. Let’s get into that gluten free pizza crust. There is no way you’d know. It was fabulous! I love it when dietary restrictions don’t compromise flavor and expectations.

This is one of our very favorite places to go each time we return to Orlando. This year we were impressed how our bartender from last year remembered us. David is a standout bartender with his great service and charming personality. He also helped my boyfriend’s birthday a little extra special! Michelle is also a great bartender! She took my favorites and turned it into a drink especially for me. The drinks and food are great! They also offer a great happy hour. We will definitely return to the Lakehouse again next year and sure hope we see these two great bartenders!
I was assisted as soon as I walked in and ordered the calamari and s’mores cheesecake. I originally saw on the website a key lime cheesecake but was informed they didn’t have it. I was pleasantly surprised about how delicious it all was especially for the price!
We tried breakfast at LakeHouse for both mornings of our stay. We are locals and hadn’t been to this Hyatt before. We lucked out and were served by Aicha on the first morning and had to sit with her again the next morning. We have two very young girls and Aicha went above and beyond to make sure we had everything and more that we could ask for. She is excellent at her job, so warm, and anticipated our needs so well. She really made our experience so much better and having her serve us was a highlight of our staycation!
Thanks Kevin for the fantastic service on our first visit. We came at 9 pm and it was a cold night. Interesting to hear the fireworks nearby although we couldn't see them. We had the empanadas, the tomato soup and the pork chop (the greens were outstanding).
The food at Lake House is top-notch. My grilled salmon with avocado roll was unique and delicious. We really appreciated how accommodating the kitchen was—they easily modified the Caterpillar roll for my daughter (no tuna) and even crafted a custom cocktail for me. The beef ribs and the crab/guacamole dip were also highlights. The only minor issue was the speed and sequence of the service. Dishes came out at different times, which was a bit disorganized. However, if you are not in a rush and care about the food quality, this place is great.
The food is good and the service is good too. However the menu choice is limited so if you decide to dine in often during your stay then the choice becomes monotonous. The prices are slightly on the higher side. However the ambience and the views are gorgeous.
Amazing setting, with floor to ceiling windows and and open sophisticated airy feel. The calamari and ribeye were delicious. My wife's shrimp pasta with pork belly was under seasoned and underwhelming. The shrimp was overcooked and the pasta was flavourless. There was only tiniest scraps of pork belly on it too. The s'mores cheesecake and chocolate cake were both amazingly sweet and delicious.

Nice view. Decent selection for breakfast buffet. Omelet guy was grumpy though.
Great service and beautiful ambiance. Decent eggs Benedict but the first egg was overcooked and when I asked for a replacement it came back very undercooked with watery white so I ended up with no egg (everyone else was finishing their meal already ).
The food is alright but could be better, especially for the price. Service is that good. We had the issue a few years ago when we stayed at the Grand Cypress. We blamed Covid, but that wasn’t the reason.

Stayed at the hotel & decided we wanted some pizza for dinner, saw they had great reviews and ordered. Worst PIZZA EVER! Save your money & go across the street to Pizza Hut. I’m not sure what others have been served but this pizza was cold, the cheese was very tangy & the dough had a rubbery spongey texture. Just Awful.
Quite possibly the worst breakfast restaurant I’ve ever been to, even by bad hotel standards. 119 Hyatt nights last year and I can’t remember a breakfast buffet this bad. Chicken and pork sausage were so overcooked and dry they sucked the moisture out of my mouth. French toast was so burned I couldn't cut through it. Bacon was somehow not burned but stale and warm at the same time. Eggs were the standard powdered eggs. Atleast the omelette station was fine. Pastries were old. Service was horrible. Took 30 minutes to get anything. For $32/pp it’s fairly ridiculous how terrible this was. Oh well only 8 more days…
