New Orleans Cajun Seafood Orlando Reviews
Food was seasoned really well. The shrimp and crayfish meal was a good portion. Vibe family friendly, you order at the counter and sit and they bring it to you. Take out available.
Omg! This place is amazing! Best crab in town!!! I never new it was here untill now, thanks to my son. I have to say I was so impressed. Doesn't look like much from the street, the inside is a good size. I got the headless shrimp combo and a shrimp poboy, ps.the sandwich is a good size, i took a piece of his lol.. tried the egg rolls and the beignet for dessert. Everything was excellent, they have a nice variety of food mostly seafood. If you haven't been here you need to try it! Prices are very good and food is good quality. I definitely recommend this place...I can't wait to go back and try the snowcrab. Yummy! This place is off of colonial Dr in Orlando Florida.
We have ordered Gumbo and Jambalaya, Po Boy, Turkey neck with rice, Fresh Beignet, Cajin Saefood platter (snow crab, crawfish, shrimp) everything turn out over our expectation. For the seafood platter, we requested to have the cajun spice on the side, but still turn out very good. The owner is super friendly and helpful, you won't be disappointed.
Delicious gumbo and jambalaya! Fried seafood was decent and the crawfish was on point!
Delicious Food & Excellent Service Had a great experience at New Orleans Cajun Seafood! The service was fantastic—friendly, attentive, and fast. The food came out quickly and was absolutely delicious. Everything was well-seasoned and cooked just right, bringing out those bold Cajun flavors. Whether you're craving fresh seafood or classic Louisiana-style dishes, this place does it right. Definitely a spot I’d recommend and will be coming back to again!
We discovered this place and are so glad we did because we enjoyed it twice in the same week when we stayed in a hotel in the area! The first time we went, we ordered extra spicy and it had us both sweating! Much spicier than we anticipated so we got mild the second time and it was still really good! The sauce is sweet, tangy, spicy, and very garlicky. These containers are only $12 during happy hour!
I have been eating there since 10 years ago. Every time if I was in Orlando this is the place I’ll definitely go! I always get the crawfish special with regular cajun, my husband likes blue crabs. During crawfish season we will get fresh ones rather than frozen ones. Garlic butter and cajun rice is also a must try! They are not that salty, unlike other seafood places.
Best seafood Cajun ever!!! Visit and thank me later😉👌. Food tasted awesome, beyond expectations. Well cooked and seasoned. Customer service was an A1. Very good location as well.
Love the crayfish and crabs. One of the best in Orlando
Always great! Never had a bad meal. Consistent flavoring.
Just tried New Orleans Cajun Seafood for the first time. We loved it! 2 words Flavor Town. All the food was cooked to perfection. Can't wait to return to our new favorite seafood spot.
After trying this place, I still catch myself craving it. I LOVE it. We usually get the snow crab legs and its plenty. I was impressed by the quality of seafood served at this restaurant. The price is fair, the service is quick/friendly, and the atmosphere is nice. I will definitely be back!
Some of the best seafood I have ever had. The restaurant is sort of sketchy location but has amazing food and I will continue to go to this restaurant probably once a week for takeout. As a college kid on a limited budget, this place has AMAZING food but does not break the bank.
Great customer service. Food extremely delicious. I’ve been eating at the restaurant for 11 years now. Where ever they move I follow.
First time visit and I’m definitely going to be back! The food to me was a good price for crab legs I got both the garlic butter and Cajun sauces and omg next time I’m gonna ask for more Cajun on the side. I’ve been to New Orleans and I can say I didn’t eat anything there that was as amazing as this restaurant. I think the customer service was good, quick and efficient which is great for me personally. It is small though but for me taking it for to go wasn’t that big of deal and shout out to all the customers maintaining social distancing.
First time at this location. I use to dine at the one by Kirkman rd. It's been 7 years since I've lived in Orlando and the food is just as amazing as I remembered it 😋 Delicious! Smiley was also very informative and super kind and sweet. Thank you all for the great food and service!!
This is my favorite seafood joint ever. My wife introduced ti to me and now I can't pass by Orlando without stopping by here ( I am from Miami). Their crawfish has a sauce that I have not tried anywhere else. It is delicious. Their eggs, soft-shell crab,
Wonderful food, cant go wrong. Gumbo was extremely flavourful, and the Po’ boy (Roast beef) was a well made sandwich. Would recommend 10/10
Amazing crawfish special! We got the crawfish special with the potatoes and corn with half Cajun spice and half garlic butter with the seasoned salt, and also got the Shrimp special with garlic butter which came with potatoes. Both dishes were amazing and fed my family of 4. Looking forward to the next time I go. I do miss the West Colonial location and looking forward to it coming back! Sorry no pictures because it was eaten so quickly 😂. They mastered the possible spill issue by wrapping it with aluminum foil and double bagged it.
This was the first time I ate a seafood boil at a location the specializes in seafood boil. I’ve only been to the Crab Shack this was way better. Prices are incredible for what you get. So many options. Boiled eggs, fried fish. Blue crabs (when available), crab clusters, craw fish, shrimp, corn, sausage the list goes on. Self service. I shared a meal with a friend. It was plenty for the 2 of us. No pictures but I will be back soon to update. Price per boil varies on what you get we spent $69 which was enough for 2. We for crawfish, shrimp, 4 crab claws and corn. Yum oh. Highly recommend. 🌺🌺🌺
The new spot has more space so it's great to sit in and enjoy. The food and the workers make things so easy to order. They explain items to you. I loved the other place put this one here is 👍🏽👍🏽💯💯❤️
I didn't realize my usual location was closed for repairs. With a broken heart, and relentless determination. I braved weekend traffic and afternoon downpour just to get my fix. Well worth the trip. I was served by the same smiling faces. They didn't disappoint and got a 20% discount for the travel.
Time after time, throughout the years, this place remains a 5 star venue. Looks like a complete dump on the outside, but I guess that keeps the people who don't know away - good. These guys know how to do a boil. Very good prices for the amount of food you get, plus its damn delicious. The Cajun + garlic butter (and i mean a LOT of garlic) is the way to go. The staff there are efficient and friendly, no shortcuts allowed there. bonus points for Vietnamese food, but why bother.
I love the crawfish...other food is fine however I've driven 2 hrs for the crawfish
Excellent casual seafood restaurant. Gumbo was excellent, lots of sausage, shrimp and chicken, served really hot. Both the oyster and shrimp po'boys were delicious, lots of seafood on a really great roll. Prices were very reasonable and the employees were very helpful and friendly. We also had an order of beignet which were good but not quite Cafe Du Monde beignet. I only wish they had Louisiana or Crystal hot sauce. The two sauces they had were Tabasco and the house hot sauce. Tabasco has an overwhelming flavor and the house hot sauce was good but extremely hot. We'll definitely be back.
This is definitely the spot. They are always so friendly and quick service with great prices ❤️
Pretty good for. The seafood boil you can pick your favorite seafood. Gumbo and the Jambalaya are good no okra but still good. The crab cake was good. The noodle dish was great.
I always come for pick up and the staff is wonderful. On one occasion, I had an employee run after me to the parking lot to hand me a water I left on the counter that I had purchased. They always show me my food, so I know exactly what I'm leaving with. I do have to point out the last few times I ordered closer to closing, the crawfish did get smaller towards the end of the night. The service however, always makes up for it.
OMG! I was is food HEAVEN!!!! I don't even like crawfish but theirs melted in my mouth along with the garlic butter they were served in. Hands down, although it has limited space on the inside, their food is why people stand in line to buy. By far, this is my FAVORITE seafood place in Orlando. Thank you Vernon (my son) for taking to New Orleans Seafood restaurant.
We dined on a Saturday night and didn't have to wait at all. Our server mentioned she has only been there around a month but you never would have known it with the service we received. She was amazing and above everything cared about our satisfaction. It is so frustrating having been in the food service industry for so long and getting servers who just don't care but we were taken great care of from start to finish! We had lots of questions and any she couldn't answer right off hand she found out the answer for us. The spinach dip was great and we got the egg rolls also and enjoyed those, too. The dip was a favorite! I very stupidly didn't pay attention to the description of the pontrartrain chicken dish and given that I don't like olives or tomatoes I was so sad at what I'd ordered but after I slid off the toppings I didn't like our waitress took it to the kitchen and had them fix it up to something I'd enjoy. Even though I'm sure it was annoying and they were busy it took no time and she was extremely nice about it. And it was delicious! My daughter got the kids waffles and I ate over half of hers, too! They were the best, softest waffles I've ever had in my life and I can't recommend them or anything else there enough!
Beyond amazed to finally find some good true Cajun crawfish in Florida and there cables are perfect as well I highly recommend there boils they are hands down some of the best I’ve ever had in the industry, but if you want spicy they go above and beyond so order as you would in Louisiana! I ordered Extra hot and there are amazing but intense!
This was by far one of the best hidden jewels for seafood, EXCELLENT cocktails, and a good ole down home atmosphere. The staff was friendly and engaging and the bartender SMILEY really makes this place great! They were well equipped with recommendations on the menu, the prices and portions don’t even match! You can surely feed 2-3 people with one tray! The food was well seasoned and cooked to perfection!
When in need of a good, simple, fair priced seafood fix (Cajun or otherwise) don't overlook this shopping center storefront restaurant. My friend always goes for the Cajun style crawfish (served Cajun spicy & steaming with shrimp, potatoes, corn on the cob, etc.) I usually do two item orders - fried catfish & fried shrimp along with two sides (about $16) and their yummy remoulade sauce. I've spent three times the amount at "better" places and never left as pleased as here! Order at the counter and food is brought to your table. Full bar is available. Not a lot of atmosphere for 'special' night out - just a lot of tasty southern & Cajun style seafood at a fair rate.
What a gem, this spot is not to be missed if you like seafood. Recently had a work dinner here with a very large group and the owners were incredibly accommodating, kind and easy to work with. The food was incredible and the staff was so friendly.
This is a regular spot for us. The seafood is good. The service has always been excellent. The only negative is the gumbo and the jambalaya is too sweet and doesn't taste like an original Cajun dish.
Summer special was HOT FRESH ABSOLUTELY TASTEFUL! The young ladies at the front were so kind . Overall great experience!!
Love this spot. They are the reason I eat crawfish lol. Plenty of parking. Drinks are good and seafood is on point! It can be a little spicy but I would pick this place over other seafood places every time.
It's one of my fav places to get seafood from. NOCS is the reason I have started to enjoy crawfish!!! The potatoes here are my least fav thing
The service was great! The owner is a very polite nice gentleman that received me and my husband and guided us through the menu. I ordered a Cajun shrimp salad and unfortunately none of my shrimps were cleaned properly. All of them had the intestines visibly full, which was not a good 1st impression . My husband passed some time cleaning them for me , but I ended up loosing my appetite and didn’t finished my meal.☹️
Nice clean restaurant inside and out, all of the employees were very helpful and friendly. Their Cajun seasoning is very tasty, but today I had the fried flounder lunch special. The portion size was great but the meal itself tasted pretty bland. I'll have to go back when I can sit down and enjoy some snow crab.
The food was seasoned well! The crab legs were a little small. The sausage could be a better quality or brand. All over good.
Was in the mood for some blue crab. This was my third choice. First place had no power, second place looked closed and I remembered this spot. I had been here a few years back. It got super busy but it was worth the wait. Got one of their specials with snow crab, potato, corn and shrimp (they were cleaned - yay) and a dozen blue crab. They were supposed to be large but believe some medium got mixed in. I love garlic and they did not disappoint, the garlic and the butter really enhanced the flavor. I have Old Bay at home, so did sprinkle a bit more on mine. Blue crab was super delish! They give patrons boxes to carry their food in for the larger orders.
Great food! Very pleasant service. Just wish it was a little more room for customers. I only dined in once, but always frequent this establishment for good food. Prices are decent for seafood as it goes. Would've gotten five stars if, as I said had more comfortable surroundings for customers.
Esta bien
New Orleans food is hard to mimic . I tried the crawfish bc tiktok hyped it up. The crawfish was toooooo sweet and not great. The cashier was so sweet and he said the owner was from New Orleans. Maybe true but the food wasn’t giving New Orleans. I must say it was a 4/10
I don't know changes were made after moving to their new location. But this fried flounder & fried shrimp is not it! Please change the coating! It's too think which makes the frying harder the enjoy the meat. I literally had to remove the breading before eating. My fish was mushy and my shrimps were not fully cooked. And the rolls are unnecessary. Just replace them with extra fries or a few hushpuppies. Also use a better grade of tartar sauce.
I love the food and the price but it wasn’t the New Orleans crawfish I was looking for. Still super good and fresh
Server didn’t check on us; had to get another server to bring us refills. We ordered fries but the serving was smaller than the bowl
Usually comes here for seafood platter. The sauce is great. Crawfish is 50/50, sometimes they taste fresh sometimes they taste like stale crawfish. Overall, it’s not a bad place. Just wish their crawfish freshness was more consistent
My food was old and Luke warm bathroom old no affords.. completely disappointment because I’ve been going to franchise at the East colonial location since I was a sophomore in college and I was hoping the west locations would have the same quality. If not better. It wasn’t, I’m sad the East location is closed and that I would never step food in west location ever Again..
Didn’t appreciate the fact I know 6 plus 3 equals 9 but because of tax it came up to 12? I’ll let it slide one time but the receipt I have doesn’t make sense. Also don’t have specials and be weird about it. Won’t come back for awhile business in orlando DO A LOT LOL..
First time going here wasn’t a welcoming atmosphere the only friendly person when I walked in was the brown skin girl and for the food only the corn, potatoes, n some of the crabs was good but I haven’t ever been to a seafood place that didn’t serve gloves with the seafood I don’t think I’ll be back ever again.
Awful. They definitely did not serve a crawfish boil like one would expect from Nola. The crawfish were frozen. The meat was gray and tough and most definitely not anything good. This place is just like all the other crab places around, same schtick….heated through seafood in a tub of butter. Sorry, not good.
Complete mess.!! Tastes nothing like Louisiana seafood.!! I ordered shrimp combo and it was full of butter and garlic.! No SEASONING at all.. (even though I asked) I was given a carry out tray to sit inside and dine in. No seafood boil bag (like the norm).
If I could give zero stars I would! The gumbo was not even gumbo! Basically a celery vegetable soup is what I would call it with a very weird smell to it. I’m from New Orleans and they should be ashamed to even sell this to anyone! Please don’t waste your time nor money because I sure did!
I love seafood... No, I REALLY love seafood... So any new seafood spot, I'm usually excited to try. I visited NOCS and was disappointed from the start. I asked if they offered a basic plate of a half pound of shrimp and half pound of snow crab legs, just to sample their offerings. They didn't have it 🚩. No problem. I asked if I could modify another plate and they did allow it. Two minutes after I placed my order, they were calling my name to come get my food 🚩. Aside from the seasoning that I asked for being non-existent, the shrimp were WAY overcooked and the crab legs were cold in some spots. I NEVER throw out seafood but it was so unappetizing I knew I'd never eat it again. Spend your money there if you want but almost any other seafood restaurant in Orlando is much better than this place.
Worse of the worse. Definitely waste of time and MONEY . Down to the sweet peanuts which I was told they were Cajun, uncooked fish with burnt fries and watery gumbo.
This place is a piece of crap, I order online and when I got my food it's not what I paid for i called the restaurant it was closed for the night.. Called the restaurant the next day this tired witch gonna tell me other wise and I have my receipt and credit card statement.. I will never go back to this place , food was nasty any way and sauce is so dam watery...
Ugh! I was in the mood for some seafood but I didn’t want to goto the other typical seafood spots (mr&mrscrab, juicy crab, red crab, etc..) Soo I stumbled upon this spot… I wasn’t too impressed at all!!! I was the only person in the whole establishment, my food came out literally in 2 minutes. By the time I finished paying and walked over to my table from the cash register, my food was already being brought out to me! (Red Flag) I could tell that it was old &/or previously frozen. The seasoning was very little & the sauce was horrible! The seafood sauce had a sweet taste to it with little to no seasoning. & it was a little too spicy. It just wasn’t a good combination with the spice level, the seasoning mix, and the seafood sauce that it was cooked in. The crabs were cold and so were my potatoes. This spot just wasn’t a good experience for me at all. Although the staff were welcoming & friendly, I will not be back to this place. Seafood is 0/10 do not recommend. I should’ve stayed with my gut instinct & went with the typical seafood spots instead. B
That’s some of the worst gumbo n seafood I ever had in my life bruh lmao
I recently dined at New Orleans Cajun Seafood and ordered the fried shrimp, fried tilapia, and French fries. Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. The fried shrimp was the only item I found acceptable, while the tilapia was dry, and most of the fries were burnt. When I raised my concerns with the staff, I was surprised to receive a refund only for the tilapia, rather than for the entire meal. This felt insufficient, given that I was unable to enjoy most of what I ordered. While I appreciate the partial refund, I expected a better overall dining experience. I hope they can address these issues in the future.
This location is my first time, so disappointed. We ordered 5 pounds crawfish with garlic flavor. We asked for extra garlic, but they made super spicy, we like spicy food, but that’s too too spicy. We ordered in other locations before, never made this super spicy like this. And we are the first customers when they open, I think some of the crawfish are leftover. Very bad experience, never come back!
Went in for lunch. Bought $ 20 worth. Still a bit hungry so I ordered 3 garlic eggs more. Counter person told me "there's a minimum charge for credit ". Huh ???? I just ordered $20 from you 15 minutes ago. NEVER WENT BACK.
I placed an order, received cold food. After complaining, the food was taken from me and warmed up… I asked may I please have fresh food… I was told if I want to fresh I have to take it to go. Instead of waiting, o requested a refund. This place is not what is use to be. It sucks, because Jackii and her parents are really nice and always provide great customer service.
I've been supporting this business for 12+ years and I unfortunately have to leave a bad review and won't return. I moved away for 3 years and have been coming back to order large batches 10lbs+ of crawfish combos to take back on the road to host parties the follow days. Last 4 times the crawfish were all dark and falling apart. It almost seemed like they had given me mostly old crawfish mixed in with few fresh ones. Although their favors never changed but the quality of the crawfish just is not the same. Huge disappointment for the effort of traveling 9hrs; buying $200 worth of food to having everyone complaining about dark and falling apart crawfish.
I just left from here not too long ago I have been eating here for quite some time but this will definitely be the last time the shrimp was definitely old for whatever reason and on top of that it had no flavor it was like I was eating Garlic and water it was a terrible mess
The Gumbo was the worst gumbo I've ever had! It had more celery than anything else! It was basically a celery soup. The flounder tasted like catfish! I highly recommend that no one ever waste their money here! $17 gone to waste!
I have to say I'm absolutely disgusted with this place. A few months ago was sitting at the bar and a cockroach ran across the counter. I told the bartender and he proceeded to kill it. "I asked him, are you serious, we're leaving!" And yesterday I go there ordered two pieces of catfish/fries n a lemonade. Not even three hours of eating it I immediately got a headache and threw up the catfish and fries. If you value your health and well being do not eat here.
they lost me as a customer !! i’ve been going to this place for 10 years it doesn’t taste the same as it did at the last location. they’re getting cheap with the product as soon as you order they give u the food that’s not fresh or what you ordered. i will never come back to this location. disgusting!
Everything was sweet, terrible. We threw most of it away. Gumbo and jambalaya tasted exactly the same. It was like someone went and poured brown sugar in everything. The shrimp and crawfish were overcooked and again... sweet. I will never go back. I spent 100 dollars on trash.
If you’re from New Orleans don’t waste your time going to this place it’s disgusting all my biked seafood tasted sweet even the boiled Turkey was extremely sweet the flavor isn’t there the salt isn’t there. Horrible they should be ashamed for down grading NOLA seafood like that. The powered sugar on the beignets was hard and on clumps. A total waste of $88
The food doesn’t taste the same as it used to when they were at the old location. We called before going out there; upon arrival, we weren’t able to order everything on the menu. That’s partially our fault, but at the same time, everything should be available for purchase until the actual closing time unless they’re out of the item. The best thing was the turkey necks and rice; the boil sauce was too sweet and too spicy, and the crab legs had parasite eggs, so they were not cleaned properly. I won’t ever order seafood from them again, but the turkey necks were delicious. One of the old ladies in the back was rude and, of course, talking disparagingly in her language, but other than that, try out the turkey necks and rice.
