This place truly felt like a home-away-from-home experience, almost as if a family member were serving me a warm meal. I went during the lunch hour with my husband, and it wasn’t too busy. I ordered the tofu ramen with the spicy Korean broth. The heat level was a bit high for me but not overwhelming, overall amazing flavor. The owner mentioned it’s about a 5 out of 10, which I agree with. If you prefer something milder, I’d recommend the miso, soyu, or curry ramen instead.
Literally one of these best ramens I ever had at a Korean Restaurant so far. The staff are very kind and helpful and funny. The menu is expansive in just the right way, clearly labeling items and dish categories. Overall, this is thee most affordable ramen I ever had, with amazing portions as well. Their other menu items are also affordable as well. This place is a must try if you’re driving through downtown Orlando.
me and my friends came here before watching kpop demon hunters in the theaters! the owner was so nice to us and even moved tables for us all to fit. she even played kpop demon hunters on the tv for us 💕 food was so delicious too 🥰 and we got to decorate sticky notes after. would recommend to anyone!!
This place has amazing Ramen, got the Gojuchang ramen with chicken and kimchi and it was so good not too spicy or sweet and the perfect amount of seasoning. The lady cashier was also very nice and made sure we were enjoying our meal. I will definitely be back! The price is very fair too especially for downtown orlando.
Tteokbokki and gimbak were so delicious. We even got the great suggestion to dip the gimbak in the tteokbokki sauce. Very friendly service and cozy atmosphere. We left happy and satisfied.
Some of the best ramen I’ve had - amazing flavor. However, even though everyone orders and pays at the register, it was a really long wait for the food to arrive - somewhere around 45-60 minutes. There was an event downtown that might have factored in, but I wouldn’t risk it if in a rush. That being said, I would recommend trying the ramen here and have already mentioned it to some friends. The high ratings and reviews seem very well deserved!
Between the friendly service and home like ambience. This is a wonderful spot to come and get a quick bite or on a first date. The food for the flavor on abundance of items on the menu and very kind polite and friendly lady. That I believe is co owner. I would highly recommend this place if you are downtown in Orlando. It is tucked away inside one of the movie theater on the first floor but it is most definitely worth the drive. And experience. The ramen and bowls are fire!!
Love this place! The owner is so nice and the food is really tasty. The bibimbap is so filling and delicious and if you get the homemade hot sauces with it has real kick . The jajangmyeon is also really good and savory. Prices are reasonable and it's a fun mom & pop local place to grab a meal.
I've been to this restaurant 4x and it never disappoints! The Bulgogi Beef Bone Broth Ramen is always good! I believe this is the best broth I've ever tried- very flavorful! The owner is very friendly too and I like how the place looks so cozy. I've brought my family here as well and I can't wait to go back!
**Nifty & Authentic** Preface: This tucked away restaurant houses the best homestyle Korean cooking you'll find here in Downtown Orlando. In the bustling heart of Orlando, this spot is the place to be if you want to decompress with feel good Korean cooking. Food: My party had the Bulgolgi Ramen with Bone Broth, the Bulgolgi Bento Box, and the Bulgolgi Platter with vegetables. The food was feel good homestyle cooking and tasted amazing. The bone broth was creamy and umami with fresh noodles and a jammy egg. Service: The service was lackluster, but with good reason. The owners were the only ones working and they hustled to do their best with both cooking, taking orders, bussing, and doing inventory. They are very nice and hard-working so do be patient. Wait times can get up to 25-30 minutes both before and after your order is taken, so be prepared to wait. Atmosphere: A small intimate space decorated with Asian Pop Culture icons and anime. Clean but cluttered. Overall: Come through to relax and unwind in this small ramen bar. It's for sure the spot to get a good heart-warming meal after a busy day.
From the humble atmosphere to the great owners, I recommend this place 1000%. The doodles on the walls, plus the anime and KPOP banners make this a home away from home experience. The food was well priced and amazingly good, when I visit Orlando again, I won't waste time looking around for where to eat good Korean food, cause this is THE spot.
My experience at this restaraunt is from several years ago, I ate here October 20th, 2021 for my birthday dinner and was thinking of the wonderful food from here since it's around that time again. I just realized I never made a review. I got the seafood tteokbokki, it was phenomenal. I have yet to find another restaraunt in Florida or Georgia to make tteokbokki like this, usually they just serve tteok on the side. The woman who was working was so nice. She accommodated my sister who is very picky with her food and she says to this day that was the best teriyaki chicken she's ever had. She put on Squid Game because I'd said I hadn't seen it yet and she made herself food and sat and ate and watched with us since no one else was coming in. As soon as we got home, me and my family finished the show because it was just as good as she said it was! I'd love to stop by again and watch season 2 when it comes out.
I've been wanting to check this little hole in the wall for a while now and I am glad I did... The food is flavorful.. The vibe is welcoming and warm... The food is made to order... With that said keep in mind you have to wait for it to be made... It's worth it! If anyone is looking for some Asian soul food, this is definitely a win spot... Check them out when you aren't on a time crunch... You won't regret it...
Was on the hunt for good ramen and could never find something that lives up to my standards, until I found this place. Literally the BEST ramen I've ever had by far and the lady who works there was so nice. We came in pretty late but she still wanted us to try the food so she let us stay past closing. Will definitely be coming back again and again!
The owner is wonderful. I’ve tried almost every flavor of ramen and so far I can’t pick a favorite they have all been amazing. My favorite kimchi in central Florida! Casual spot. Take out and small groups are great. Fun decor. Must try in Orlando
The absolute BEST ramen in Orlando. Don’t even check out anywhere else, the staff is extremely friendly and loving!!! Taste 5 stars, quantity 5 stars, price 5 starsssss, I would live here if I could.
AMAZING! The smell- divine! The flavors- superb! I used to live in Taiwan and am trying to figure out how to justify the hour drive and parking fees to eat here daily. Might have to apply for jobs in the neighborhood just to have a reason to eat here all the time!
Delicious food! An amazing place to go if you like a lot of spice. Definitely try the Spicy Korean ramen and the kimchi fried rice, you won’t be disappointed. Wait times can be a little long depending on the amount of people, but it’s to be expected with a small restaurant and the food is well worth the wait!
Great home feel, delicious food! Highly recommended for downtown Orlando area.
The bulgogi bowl was flavorful and balanced. Sometimes eating Korean BBQ feels heavy but this was filling without that feeling. Not one for the anime decorations personally but the food was so good, I will definitely be back when I'm in Orlando again
This place is a MUST. They have the best samgyeopsal pork belly ramen I've ever had! You know when you try something at a restaurant and it's spectacular, and then you try the same dish in a bunch of other places and it just isn't the same? Yeah...that's what happens once you've tried something here. The food, the vibe, and the service, are all perfect. If I lived closer, I'd eat here multiple times a week!
Amazing fresh and homemade Korean food. I've been coming for years and the food is always consistently delicious. And Helen, the Owner, is so sweet and knows the names of all her regular customers.
I travel for a living and have ramen in states all over the southeast. It is simply mindblowing every time I eat here, I always get the gochujang ramen with spicy pork and have never had anything close to as good anywhere else. Do yourself the favor and stop by. Be aware it's a small operation and you may have to wait to be helped, but please wait, you won't be disappointed.
New favorite spot downtown. Everything I have tried so far has been tasty. Quick turnaround for pickup during lunchtime. Love the anime-themed decor! The owner is sweet and welcoming. I can't wait to bring more people to this little gem.
The SWEETEST lady ever, and the food was awesome. The mango boba was the best I’ve had and the best ramen I’ve ever had. 10/10 my friends and I loved the place and will be making an effort to come back every time we’re in the area
Delicious spicy ramen at this small unassuming eatery in downtown Orlando. I had the Gochujang Ramen with shrimp and it was spicy 🌶 🌶🌶. I don’t recommend this for those that don’t have a medium to high spice tolerance. I found the bowl to have fresh veggie ingredients that were very flavorful. Although, it was a little hard to find because it’s located in the plaza, this place is well worth a visit.
I've been here before back when the pandemic started and it was pretty good but I had takeout. Coming back when I can actually sit down and really enjoy the food fresh out the kitchen... 🤤. Very cool spot right in the middle of downtown next to the movie theater so you can hit it during lunch or in the evening right after or before a movie. Staff is friendly and they make sure that everything is perfect for you. Everything was so tasty so I'm definitely coming back again. I have to make sure to do multiple visits so I can try everything.
Best ramen I've ever had. The best tasting Naruto experience. The broth, the naruto Maki, The eggs, & the super tender pork belly were all amazing. We are definitely coming back as many times we can come and try their other Ramen and food. Wife had bulgogi bop bowl. Was super delicious as well. Hours later my belly is still just as happy/satisfied. My only regret is I couldn't eat more.
Yummmm..... this food was so good. I ordered short rib Ramen and the broth was so rich and flavorful. Upon tasting it, I wanted to place a to-go order immediately. I would highly recommend coming here.I can't wait to return. The owner is incredibly nice. She engaged with us, but was not intrusive. And we had a newborn. 😀
I stumbled into this place by accident. I love the real unique authentic feel. I had the bbq rice bowl. Everything was fresh. Customer service is great. Family owned restaurant. It seems overwhelming when you first go in because her menu is huge but they are helpful with what your looking for.
Me and my friend were walking around and discovered this gem. The decor is super cute and the food was off the chain! Vegan friendly too! The customer service was amazing as well. She was so nice. I wish I would have got boba (they had almond milk!) Ramen was 🔥 Go here if you get the chance!
First time going here and I was not disappointed! I absolutely love this place and the owner is such a nice lady. I got the Tteok-bokki soup, the rice cakes were so soft and chewy. The bulgogi beef was delicious along with the sweet and spicy sauce it was marinated in. The mangu dumplings were delicious too!! Overall, wonderful place to come to.
Stopped by on two different occasions. Friendly service. It’s busy with guests during the lunch time. The venue seems to be frequented with many regular customers. The atmosphere is quiet yet lively at the same time. Careful attention was put into the restaurant decor. You can see Korean and Japanese television being played, which is interesting. The ramen dishes truly shine here. The gochujang is well spiced, with the red pepper coming through in every sip. Just the right amount of heat. Extremely well paired with a jammy egg; the yolk was the perfect consistency for ramen. Equally as delicious was the yuja citron ramen. Lovely citrus flavor coming from the orange. Perfect natural vitamin C boost for my immune system. I ordered the bowls with chicken, which was a little dry for me. The bowls are large enough for two people to dine comfortably. My favorite ‘getaway’ lunch spot on a chilly day.
Amazing food, reminded me of being back in Korea. Excellent service too, the young man in glasses was very polite and came out to give us our drinks and utensils. I was going to get bulgogi as it's all I ate in Korea but I saw they had bibimbap (주물럭비빔밥) and I couldn't refuse. The beef was so tender, rice cooked perfect, egg was perfect and the kimchi had a wonderful spice. We live right down the road and will be back soon!
This place reminds me so much of my grandmother. They serve homemade stuff my grandma would only make and popular trendy homemade Ramen. The owners are so awesome and nice. They deserve more credit for being so authentic.
So I chose this place for date night because I had a coupon (I’m cheap) and I was searching the menu, but I’m also a visual person, so I looked through the photos. I saw the Pork Belly where you have to call an hour in advance, so I called, not knowing what to expect since it’s not on the menu and didn’t have a price. We arrived and John knew my name as soon as we walked in! They treated us like royalty from there on out. I grabbed a Soju and hubby was driving, so he just got a Hite from the drink cooler. John dang me up and it was almost $80. I tried not to show my pain, and even gave a tip. We sat down and immediately received the Soju and Banchaan. Soon after, the Pork Belly was presented on a beautiful board. John and his father, Kevin, taught Korean the whole time. I love learning new languages. We learned that Nari Joa (the name of the Soju) means Happy Day in Korean. Samjang (Korean spicy Gochujang with miso) meaning “Wrap Sauce” and White Sauce was served for us to pair with our lettuce wraps. There were also other sauces on a table, such as, Teriyaki, Spicy Mayo & Buddha Sauce. Kevin said the kimchi was made by his mother. She did a great job! I asked if they sold it separately. I would definitely buy a bucket! They said they don’t sell it, but we for sure asked for some to go with our leftovers! While we ate, John played Luck-Key on the tv for us to watch. It’s a movie about a rich executive who gets amnesia and a less fortunate guy takes his place. We didn’t get to finish the movie while we were there, but it kept us entertained. This is a convenient spot to hit before or after a movie. I really loved the food and service!
The best food I’ve eaten anywhere in my entire life. Part of my soul left my body and transcended to another level of existence the moment I tasted their tonkatsu. The kimchi is authentic and mind blowing. The noodles are perfect. The flavors are unreal and will change your life for the better. Please, if you and your loved ones have not tried Nifty’s ramen, go there immediately after reading this review. You need this ramen in your life ASAP.
One of the best Ramen we have had in Orlando. The broth was rich and flavourful and noodles firm and tasty. The chasu was tender and melt in your mouth delicious, the tonkatsu was also well made and went very well with my spicy broth. The egg was goey and complimented the broth perfectly. Go here for a home made bowl of goodness, the bento boxes were also filled with delicious Korean favourites. bring your family and friends, they’ll thank you for it. At the time of this review, if you park in front of the city library, they can validate your parking ticket if it’s within 3 hours.
Stopped in here earlier today after passing by many times and I'm glad I did. This little restaurant has a ton of charm and character; the walls are covered with anime and BTS wall scrolls and anime playing on TV. The prices are reasonable, the food is great and tastes homemade with love. I got bibimbap, classic, and not only was it delicious, the portion size is great, enough for two meals and a snack. The staff was super friendly and accommodating, and the environment, which can seem a little intimidating through the window, actually creates a sort of pleasant intimacy. Really enjoyed this spot!
The food is so good! They have traditional Korean food and some fusion food. I had the kimchi burger and it was so good. It's a little hard to find under the stairs, but definitely worth it. The staff is so kind and very funny. They love to chat and make everything feel so welcoming.
Great experience, my husband and I ate here back in March for the first time and it was wonderful and it's refreshing to know the food is still amazing. I got the pepper steak platter and we shared the vegetables fried rice which might be my favorite fried rice Ive had and I'm super particular about that dish. It's not sweet at all which I was afraid of when I was told it was slighty different then your traditional fried rice. My husband got the Teriyaki Chicken Noodle Bowl which he enjoyed. Can't wait to go back!
I am SO glad I found this place! It felt like visiting my family for a good home cooked meal. I loved the ambiance (the BTS fan in me was THRIVING with all the posters on the walls and kpop music videos on loop), chatting with the owner (hi Helen!), and of course, the delicious food! I had the tteokbokki and my husband had ramen. I am a vegetarian, so it was fantastic that they could make modifications to traditionally meat-heavy dishes. We will DEFINITELY be back!
Absolutely amazing!!! A real mom & pop place serving delicious food. This place is a hidden gem in Orlando. Everything was excellent and the owners genuinely care about you leaving happy. Nice people who made me feel like a regular. If you want Ramen or some simple Korean BBQ this is the spot for you.
I just walked out of here and I felt like I had to write down my thoughts as it’s fresh. This place is such a hidden gem. The owners are so kind and sweet and genuinely love their customers. If I knew the food was going to be this good, I would have taken pics to post ad part of my review. I was so full but I didn’t even want to stop eating bc the flavors were so amazing. The quality and flavors reminded me of K-Town in LA, but arguably maybe even better! I’ve never been in a Korean family kitchen but this feels like a family experience. Truly cannot say enough amazing things about the food and experience at Niftys!
Food was amazing! One woman running the place so there was brief moments of waiting but not bad at all. I’d wait much longer for the food! Had the beef bulgogi with rice veggies and kimchi and it was spot on!! Will return!
Wow. Absolutely authentic Korean dining experience. Fantastic. Food- perfection. Atmosphere- chill and authentic. Service was friendly and fast. Everything about this place is incredible.
Quite a cool gem to find around downtown Orlando! We got the thin noodles which are fantastic and they stay warm for a while. Broth was tasty and super fulfilling with the condiments.
We had the naruto inspired ramen, and the regular chashu tonkotsu. The spice level on the naruto ramen was spot on! The eggs were cooked perfectly on both bowls, and so were the noodles. The tonkotsu broth on its own was kind of sweet to my liking. Definitely ask to make it spicy if that’s your preference. Both soups had a nice rich and creamy consistency. Loved the decor inside the shop. We had some issues trying to find our way in the shopping plaza but the owner was very kind and helpful.
Dine with your waifu, what better way to spend a meal than sitting with an anime girl. OK but seriously this time, I find this place to be at a such a good location, due to the fact that its under the movie theater. Whether you watch an awesome movie or came out of a date (perhaps with the waifu of your dreams) then come on down stairs to grab a ramen or even BBQ. I happened to stumble this place when I noticed the anime themed walls and the decorations it has. My server was full of spirit by giving everyone the anime vibe as if you were in an ISEKAI (for you anime fans). I've come across lots of Chinese and Korean food around town, while Japanese food is harder to come by, while this also have some Korean food. Definitely come and try out the ramen or even the other options like Bibimbap and Bulgogi items here they have on the menu. Really gives your some variety and even vegan or vegetarian options too along with the anime style reaction from the server which gives it so much more personality than dining in some regular anime or ramen shop.
The service is very welcoming and you'll probably hear Korean being shouted back from the counter service into the kitchen to get the orders made stat! They have so many different menus from a printed one to the ones written on the wall that can have completely different items from each other, such as their dessert menu for example. It's located right in the cinema plaza entrance and is pretty cozy seating inside. They social distance as best as they can and are only able to fit about 4 groups of 3-4 persons to dine in at a time. I ended up getting the Galbi Short Rib Ramen and their 32 Oz Lychee Boba. The ramen broth was really bold and borderline a little too salty for my taste. However, the short rib is really sweet so it balances out a bit. You'll definitely will want some water to help wash it down. The noodles were okay, but if they were made from scratch then it would elevate the dish a lot more. It is also topped with wet seaweed, which I enjoyed, and made the dish unique with the Korean ribs. The boba was not overly sweet and really easy to drink. It came with a lot of lychee flavored popping pearls instead of the tapioca balls. Pretty good, but a little pricy at about $10.
Buen servicio
Casual Japanese-Korean restaurant with anime plastered on the walls. Came here in a group of three on a Friday evening for dinner. You pick a table, and once you’re ready to order, you go up to the counter. Credit cards accepted. Note that if you check in on Yelp, there’s a 10% off discount. They don’t have tap water available, so you’re required to buy bottled water. Food-wise, the food was all on the salty side. Note that they no longer serve poke bowls. The fish cake in the udon tasted rubbery, and the tteok in the tteok mandu ramen tasted overly chewy. There’s 5 beef mandu that comes in ramen, and there’s not that much meat inside. The bento seemed to be the best deal, as it came with your choice of meat, rice with egg on top, and two veggie sides.
Very, very good ramen with deep flavors. My Pork Belly Ramen Ichiraku was fantastic. My wife's Ramen Gochujang Coconut with chicken had a great flavor also but the chicken was really overdone and very dry. She would have given it back but we had a show to go see up the street and couldn't take the hit on time. We'll stay away from the chicken next time because we definitely will be going back.
We tried this place based on the reviews I've read online! Let me tell you I've ordered bulgogi beef bowl, chicken teriyaki bowl, two soup bowls!! The broth was good but let me tell you the bulgogi & chicken bowl was very salty even the veggies that comes with it was extremely salty!! I feel like if I tell the lady she would NOT accept constructive criticism Plus the meat tasted so old like it was dry or was frozen I asked for water she sells all her drinks, no free water! After eating all that high sodium dish I would need a bucket of water!! :( We should've went to Bento Cafe which is always good. Customer service was poor!! She didn't even check on us while we're eating!! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!! I can't believe I've wasted $55!!! We didn't fnish our food!! What a waste of time & money!!
1. The smell inside the store is very unpleasant. 2. The food is extremely salty and tasting bad. When I told the owner it was too salty, they insisted that's how their food is because Americans like it salty. I have never been treated with such arrogance before. After the owner walked away, an American at the next table apologized to me (jokingly, and we both laughed), but the food was genuinely unappetizing. 3. The owner is Korean, and her attitude is poor. When I asked for some vinegar and hot sauce, she kept asking me why I needed vinegar, questioning its purpose. My boyfriend, who speaks authentic English without any accent issues, also found her attitude off-putting. In conclusion, I consider it a very unpleasant experience.
My ramen came with seaweed in it, despite telling the lady I was allergic. When I told her about the issue, she peer pressured me into eating around it, instead of redoing the dish. The broth was good but the pork was practically inedible with how fat it was, and I've become deathly ill from seaweed consumption. If I was allergic to pork fat, I'd have died in that store and she would have watched.
