Rose's Island Spice Restaurant Orlando Reviews
I was visiting universal studios and was searching for Jamaican restaurants and found Rose’s island spice restaurant and decided to give them a try. The food was so delicious I was truly impressed. You can taste the real authentic coconut milk in the rice & peas and the fry chicken was well seasoned, full of flavor I highly recommend them.
The Atmosphere is amazing Feels like you are actually in Jamaica and the food is Authentic Jamaican style. Big up Rose.
Soursop juice was amazing. Wings were delightfully crispy.

Food is always on point
I was searching for a Jamaican restaurant in Orlando while visiting universal studios. I stumbled on Ms. Roses restaurant and the food was amazing. I got oxtail and fried chicken and she gave us a taste of her jerk pork. Very personable service and we felt right at home. I definitely recommend. I also started eating way too soon before thinking of sharing pictures.
All on the menu is great at the Nova Rd. location in Daytona Beach. I'm from New York and it was hard to find a Caribbean restaurant with spices used straight from Jamaica. Miss Rose and her son Jordan are the best. Pleasant and kind atmosphere. Food always fresh. Jerk chicken is my favorite. Look out for the sour sop drink about to hit the menu I'm so excited I've eaten there about 3 times this week. Oh and of course the rice and peas is on point don't forget little oxtail gravy over it lol.
Rose's Island Spice Restaurant in Orlando, Florida, serves delicious Caribbean cuisine with spices straight from Jamaica. Their menu features popular dishes like jerk chicken, oxtail and Jamaican festival dumpling, all made with fresh ingredients.
The jerk chicken is delicious! Just the right level of spiciness where your nose may run a bit, but you're not running for water. Enjoyed the Jamaican festival dumpling as well!
We had the oxtail at their food truck for an event and it was so delicious, we couldn't stop thinking about it and went back to the event for more! Honestly it's the best oxtail we've had. We can't wait to be back for more!
The food was absolutely delicious and to top it off they are the sweetest people with such an inviting family spirit. 5 stars hands down!
The restaurant may be small but THIS is real home cooked Jamaican Food!!!! I definitely recommend Rose's restaurant if you're tired of the generic chain restaurant quality food.
Rose’s food truck was at an event my sorority hosted. My oxtails, cabbage, and rice and peas were delicious!!!
I am extremely satisfied with the Rasta pasta!! One love see yall soon
Rose’s Island Spice Caribbean Cuisine is a very nice restaurant to eat out with family and friends it’s kid friendly and the owner is very nice and respectful
I tried Rose Island Spice for a catering of 37 guests. It was very last minute. They were very professional in handling the last minute request. The food was well prepared and tasty. Thank you Rose Island Spice for a tasty dinner. I strongly recommend this restaurant for the best to a home cooked meal from yaaad.
Jerk chicken is to die for We had a college grad party, and a guest brought jerk chicken from Rose's. This was something that we hadn't experienced since we left Jamaica. We had to stop by and pick some extras for ourselves. Rose carved out time to prepare for us. We are grateful for such a superb service. I have recommended a few friends of mine. When I visit Florida, I will definitely load up for my trip back to Virginia! Thanks so much for taking the time to prepare such delicious jerk chicken!
At this moment They are an ill-prepared food truck out here at the Caribbean Festival in Clermont. 1 hour to order and am still waiting on my food. Will update the taste and see if waiting I predict 2 hours total to eat it. Update: We got our food 1 hour 45 minutes total waiting time. I assessed that the food is on par, not worth the time frame wasted waiting.
I Didn’t get a chance to taste the food , but customer service could definitely be better.
Ordered a lunch special was charged $12 instead of $7. I was told to come back today for the owner to take care of the issue. Went back and she refused to give me a credit, refund, food or patties. She said next time I order she'll give extra. Why wld she think I would continue to patronize her business. I notice foreigners in biz tend to avoid giving what's due. Day before I ordered same thing & paid $7. Poor customer service & biz practices. I'll be supporting American owned restaurant Pete's BBQ down the block, they have respect and understand the importance of customer service and have no problem taking care of their customers.
Make sure they're charging you the correct price. They give you meat from the tiniest chickens on earth. And they want 18.25 for a small oxtail dinner. Jerk wasn't spicy cabbage was dry rice was ok. I won't be returning.
Ordered online. When I went to pick it up, they said it wouldn’t be ready for another few hours, so I asked to cancel the order. They never canceled or refunded. They charged me $25 for food I never received. Stay away!
