Great food and love the vibe here! Tried it out for an anniversary dinner -- it's tapas-style, and we ordered Iberico and the pan con tomate, which was like a flatbread. All tasted great! They had a full cocktail menu as well, and I had the Sazerac and the "You're A Star Milk Punch" (no milk) -- they also tasted fantastic. The ambiance is also worth highlighting -- very low-key and refined. As can be expected, there was also a very extensive wine list!

Ambiance? 5 stars. Food? 5 stars. Service? Definitely 5 stars. Everything was just excellent. We arrived on a Friday night around 6:45 pm, and the only tables available were outside. I was a bit surprised that they were fully booked inside, given the time. The hostess apologized and said that if we wanted to sit inside without waiting, we could go to Reyes, their sister restaurant. Nice of her, but no: if I came to Sparrow, I want Sparrow. We ended up sitting at a high-top table outside which, despite being small, wasn't an issue since the tapas-style dishes and serving plates were also small. Our server, Jackie, was extremely friendly and quick; she explained the menu and brought us water right away. I asked to try two red wines and, even though my friend hadn't shown any interest in drinking, she immediately asked "can bring the two samples for you to try as well?". Quite generous. We both ended up ordering a glass of Malbec each, which paired quite well with the food. For starters, we ordered the Pulpo and a side of bread with olive oil. I assumed the Pulpo would come grilled, but I clearly overlooked the fact that one would hardly get grilled octopus at a restaurant of this caliber for $18. I was a bit disappointed to see preserved octopus served from a tin (which, according to our server, was "just for show") and not in a very generous portion. The flavor, however, was excellent. As to the bread, it was toasted just right, and the olive oil (definitely Spanish) paired beautifully with everything. After that, we shared the Arroz Negro, which was without a doubt the best dish of the night. An explosion of flavor. Again, the amount of seafood wasn't exactly generous, but the taste and texture were simply di-vine. I squeezed some lime over the shrimp and boom. Perfection. Not fully satisfied, we ordered the Basque Cheesecake which, while tasty, was more of a reinterpretation of the true tarta de queso vasca. I was expecting a dark, caramelized, burnt top forming a thin crust, but I didn't quite get that crust. Yet, it was delicious. I might come back just for the cheesecake and a cup of espresso if they're open in the afternoon. The cherry on top of the cheesecake (tu dum tsss) was the birthday postcard the server brought, signed by several staff members. I truly felt appreciated. Big kudos to Chef Jennie (who always kills it) and Jackie for such a memorable dining experience. Bravo!

Our server was amazing! Decor was really nice and has a cozy vibe. My favorite plate was the Caesar carpaccio. Edit: I went back and tried the Salmon & Tuna Crudo and the fish was low quality and not fresh. Other than that, other things were good.

Service was great and all staff was attentive. Super cute date spot and it's a smaller space so it feels more intimate. The food was delicious. Our favorite dish was the Filet and runner up was the Fries with caviar aioli.

Every moment of the dinner experience here is so well thought out! The restaurant is gorgeous and such a comfortable atmosphere. The tapas are incredible and that tomato gimlet is *chefs kiss*. Will be a regular here for sure. Shout to Lesley for the wonderful service and recommendations!

Visited with friends this past weekend and had a fantastic experience! The atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming, perfect for a night out. The food was absolutely incredible, and we shared everything, which gave us the chance to try a variety of dishes. Standouts were definitely the Mushroom Pate and the Filet. The only minor downside was the seating at our table (right when you walk in, to the left). The chairs felt a bit low and cramped, making it a little tricky to get comfortable at first, especially with limited legroom. Thankfully, it seemed like this setup wasn't at every table, and we were still able to enjoy ourselves. Overall, a memorable evening with great food, great company, and a lively ambiance. Would definitely return!

Writing this after leaving our second visit in a week and couldnt be more delighted. The food, the drinks, the staff, & the vibe are all excellent. We are obsessed with ordering the caesar carpaccio with their fries. Rigatoni verde and filet are also ridiculously delicious. We had Valentina helping us with our night both visits and each time it was an absolute pleasure. We look forward to many more date nights here. 10/10 would absolutely recommend.

If you’re looking for vibes this is the spot. Excellent ambiance — nothing like it in Orlando. Giving Miami Beach or New York lounge that feels both intimate and warm and retro. Really nice wine selection but the cocktails are where it’s at. Tomato Gimlet is one of the best drinks I’ve had. For the food get the mushroom pate, Caesar carpaccio, and sole for SURE. Really solid date night or girls night spot — been three times since they opened and will be back many more.

Ok... You know that rare moment when you go to a place that is beautiful, has amazing food, has creative drinks and has THE BEST wait staff on earth? No? Then go here. Cause this place is amazing All 4nof us ordered a different drink to try them all. We then ordered the: Octopus with potatoes Rigatoni Verdi with short rib Areoz Negro with whole shrimp And the dessert was a basque orange cheesecake I don't think words will actually help. Every bite was amazing, every sip was unbelievable, every little thing about this place screamed... COME BACK OFTEN!!!! This was amazing and if you have to gone please do, you will thank me Ask for Lindsey, she is amazing

This is my new favorite spot in Orlando! Atmosphere is amazing, great for date night or a small group of friends. Their Highball has me obsessed with olive oil washed gin. Service is fantastic. The food is incredible - try the mushroom pate. It’s so unexpected. Also enjoy the vodka pasta dish if you like spice and the filet with some fries dipped in the cognac sauce is 10/10!

Sparrow was so yummy and a great vibe! Love the way the margarita is made and the tomato cocktail was a delicious. The mushroom pate was one of our fav dishes — would recommend for sure. Nice cheese plate and truffle fries too, but I think our favorite bit was dessert!! We got the basque cheesecake and also had the ice cream with their homemade (family recipe) hot fudge. Sooooo yummy!! Would go back and have any (and all) of that again. The vibes and decor make this place feel both interesting and also familiar in the way we instantly knew we wanted to return again and again to make this a “regular” spot of ours. Bravo Good Salt Group! Another iconic addition to the Orlando scene.

This was our first time at Sparrow, and it won't be the last. The atmosphere is very laid-back with a NYC speakeasy feel to it. They do not sit more than 6 people together, as the place isn't that big, and they're trying to keep it more intimate. Our server Leslie was very nice, professional, and with some great recommendations. The food is of tapas style, and was absolutely incredible! We had at least 3 baskets of the shoestring fries as they were delicious! We tried several dishes and all were well prepared and flavorful. Our two favorite dishes have to be Mushroom pate and the pan con tomate. We also enjoyed the large shrimp with ink risotto and the rigatoni with ragu sauce. Overall, this is definitely one of our new favorite restaurant in downtown Orlando. The atmosphere is very chill, the service was great and the food was fantastic! Cant wait to go back again really soon!

N
Nicole Vinasco

Food was delicious but expensive. I can tell they use quality ingredients BUT overpriced considering the portion sizes. I would 100% go back for the Rigatoni verde but would worry if it would keep me full. Def would have to get an app with it or another smaller plate. Service was great though and the inside was very detail oriented, a really cozy spot

We came on a spontaneous night & loved the atmosphere. The food was so great & we paired it with a smooth wine from Italy that Lesley was kind enough to recommend. Loved it. Would definitely come back.

My boyfriend and I went here for our anniversary, it was so lovely! The decor and atmosphere give off a speakeasy, vintage prohibition vibe. It’s very welcoming and cool feeling. The food we had was outstanding! The mushroom pate was something I’ve never experienced and could honestly live off that meal alone. The drinks were delicious and had a great pour to blend the alcohol with the mixers. We can’t wait to go back to experience when the whole place ‘flips’ and the disco ball/music brings a whole new feel to the place!

N
Nicole B

Went during the first night of their soft opening. Wow what an AMAZING addition to the area!! I had been following their socials for a while and was very eager to finally be able to visit. My expectations were definitely exceeded. As soon as we sat down, they lit the disco ball and it just added such a magical touch to the space. Love me any place that has a good disco ball. The atmosphere inside was phenomenal. As someone who loves architecture and decor, especially from mid-century era, I absolutely loved the vibe inside of Sparrow. It was very cozy and moody. It had that mid-century feel while still feeling fresh and modern. Loved the dim lighting as well. Perfect for a date night, girl’s night or just a fun, chill night out with friends. We ordered three drinks total and they were all great. The fries were thin and crispy, perfect to share while sipping on our cocktails. We also had the basque cheesecake and we enjoyed it very much. Service was great, our server was very attentive and walked us through the menu. Overall, such a great addition and I’m so excited to return and bring some friends to experience Sparrow. Definitely one of my new favorites in Orlando, by far! UPDATE: Went again and still completely obsessed with the vibe here. Just wanted to point out that one of our friends ordered scotch on the rocks and they charged $1 for the ice. Never seen that anywhere lol. So just be aware that apparently they charge for ice, crazy.

Had our first experience at Sparrow last night, a weeknight. Made reservations the day prior. Parking was easier than expected and we were greeted warmly upon arrival (other than the “you have this table for two hours,” which from a business aspect I do understand, but it always feels a little off-putting to me when that’s your first impression of a place, many of which are empty a year later.) Amanda provided exceptional service, patient with our indecisiveness and able to answer any questions we had. Expo staff were pleasant and efficient. Ambiance was exceptional, with an attractive interior and a DJ spinning jazz/funk records, warm lighting and a perfect noise level (loud enough not to feel like a library but not so loud it stressed me out or killed conversation.) It felt like a restaurant for adults, which is a rare find in Orlando. The cocktail menu looked good but we went with wine to complement the food. The menu is small, and I feel could use at least one more vegetable option, but it is diverse and approachable. The filet (medium rare) was perfectly tender. The gnocchi was airy and perfectly sauced, with pesto and small dollops of what tasted like house-made ricotta. I am not a huge fan of potatoes and never order fries, but the cacio e pepe fries were incredible- crisp and fresh but with some deliciously sauce-laden soggy bits at the bottom. Portion sizes were enough for two or three people so we shared everything tapas style. We ordered the basque cheesecake for dessert, which was ultra creamy and perfectly sweet (not cloying) along with one of the three available dessert wines. I was also grateful to be able to have a real espresso with dessert (why do so few restaurants have an espresso machine?!) I found prices to be fair, especially given the quality of the food, the environment and the exceptional service.

Everything at Sparrow was a treat. Every dish we got was delicious, the wine list was great and the cocktails were incredible. I’ve been twice now, and both times the service has been spot on. It’s such a beautiful room; I’m really impressed with how cozy and intimate they made the room feel. Sparrow is perfect for an impromptu girls night or, or a celebratory evening! Hits all the marks and can’t wait to go back.

Our experience last night was amazing. Sparrow definitely knows what they are doing! The food, service, ambiance and small details were on point. It's hard to be able to execute all of those correctly! My friend and I split the tuna & salmon crudo, artichoke gnocchi and a brioche with melted brie, truffle oil, and duck on top. The brioche literally gave my friend and I chills, that's how DELICIOUS it was. The gnocchi was also something I'll continue to dream about because the flavor was so unique. Wine selection was also great and worth the price. So glad to find a great wine bar in Orlando that also has an amazing chef putting together dishes with exceptional flavor profiles. The DJ was also such a good vibe! Can't wait to come back!

Absolutely loved my experience at Sparrow! From the moment we sat down, the atmosphere felt warm, intimate, and perfect for a relaxed night out. The lighting and presentation really set the mood. The food was outstanding everything looked and tasted incredible. The dishes were beautifully plated, full of flavor, and clearly made with attention to detail. The toasted bread was perfectly crispy, and the sauces were rich and satisfying. Service was also great friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcomed.

This isn’t the kind of place you pop into for a quick drink or bite — and that’s a good thing. All good things take time, and you can truly tell the care and effort behind everything that comes out of the kitchen. Valentina was our server and she made the experience even better, we never felt rushed. The rigatoni and steak were both 10/10, and the appetizers were equally fresh and flavorful, especially the carpaccio. Great atmosphere and clean restrooms. Zero complaints. We’ve already made a second reservation with Valentina — indefinitely!

Orlando has been picking up some speed in the libation and culinary delights- and noticeably places only offering small delights. Im not mad about it with everyone either watching their weight otlr taking the shot, it works out perfect lol. Very non discript from the outside init a cozy living room on the inside. Clean bathrooms and small bar area' small for those that like bar seating. We too a 4 seat ate and drank.

We had an INCREDIBLE evening celebrating at Sparrow! From the moment you walk in you can tell they really nailed the vibe. From the plush seating, to the vintage touches and even the disco ball, the atmosphere was hard to beat. Our server, Celeste, was an excellent guide when it came to selecting our drinks. She was extremely knowledgeable and so friendly, willing to listen to every member of our party and select the perfect wine for them from their extensive menu. The few small plates we tried were fabulous but the stand-outs of the evening had to be the cocktails, particularly the Tomato Gimlet (it sounds strange but it is spectacular). We can’t wait to go back!

She was polite and kind, easy to talk to and gave amazing recommendations for dinner. Lesley was was our server for dinenr. A Hidden Gem That Deserves the Spotlight I’m not sure words can do justice to how extraordinary my experience at Sparrow was, but I’ll try. From the moment we walked in, the service was flawless - warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The food? Next-level. Every bite was a masterclass in flavor and finesse. And the vibes? Utterly immaculate. This place has that rare magic that is effortlessly cool, yet inviting, and our server Leslie had energy that matched the vibes. Part of me wants to keep this Orlando treasure all to myself, but the team behind Sparrow deserves every ounce of praise. Cheers to a brilliant concept, beautifully executed. Pro tip: ask for the corner table with the sofa and get the Tomato Gimlet!

If you're looking for the perfect date night spot, Sparrow Wine Bar is it. From the moment we walked in, we were swept away by the cozy, romantic ambiance—dim lighting, soft music, and an intimate vibe that feels like a hidden gem. But let’s talk about the real star of the show: Chef Wendy’s mushroom pâté. I don’t even have the words. Earthy and velvety—it’s honestly one of the best things I’ve ever tasted. It comes beautifully presented, paired perfectly with crisp toast. I would go back just for that dish alone. The wine selection is thoughtful and well-curated, and the staff was incredibly warm and knowledgeable. Every recommendation felt personal and spot-on. Whether you're celebrating something special or just in the mood to enjoy beautiful food in a stunning atmosphere, Sparrow Wine Bar delivers on every level. Chef Wendy is truly doing something magical here.

We arrived just before our 7:30 pm reservation and were seated immediately—always a promising start to any dining experience. From the moment we sat down, we were well taken care of by our server, Celeste, who was outstanding. She was not only friendly and attentive but also impressively knowledgeable about the restaurant's concept, the menu, and both the alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage offerings. Speaking of drinks, everything we tried was unique and delicious. The thoughtful selection of beverages—both with and without alcohol—complemented the meal perfectly and added a creative flair to the overall experience. For food, we ordered the pan con tomato, short rib rigatoni, and truffle fries with aioli. Each dish was expertly prepared and full of flavor. The rigatoni, in particular, was rich and satisfying, with perfectly tender short rib. The truffle fries were addictively crispy, and the aioli was a perfect match. The vibe of the restaurant was laid-back but polished—ideal for a relaxed evening out. Overall, the combination of top-notch service, exceptional food, and a welcoming atmosphere made this a dining experience we’ll definitely be repeating. Highly recommend.

One of the best places in Orlando! This is a must go to for a great food and excellent service! Valentina, our server, was exceptional and provided world class service. The food was amazing! This is the spot, it’s fantastic. I travel for work a lot and eat out way too much. The food, cocktails and atmosphere at Sparrow were very, very good (and very reasonably priced). Stopped by with a friend for Sparrow’s soft opening. Outstanding decor…small chic, retro lounge/restaurant vibe. I estimate 14 tables of 3. Small, quaint bar. Everything was fantastic. Easy parking at the garage…free parking. Their restroom is quite probably the best in Orlando. Service at the bar was outstanding. Small but excellent wine menu. I tried their charcuterie…French ham and Gorgonzola…and a plate of mortadella. Both were delicious. High quality. Small but excellent food menu. I liked all their small plate options. They do have 5 main options …fillet, pasta and prawns. I look forward to being back…regularly. Congrats on this gorgeous venue.

Fantastic food and service! The entire staff was terrific, and Sophia C was our server, and she was phenomenal. We came in without a reservation for a table of 6, and they were able to accommodate us and were happy to seat us. We were here for a work trip, and we frequent Orlando a lot for work, and this place was outstanding. The ambience is fantastic. Good music, relaxing, dimmed lighting. It was a perfect way to wrap up a long weekend of work on a Monday. Sophia was attentive and cared about our group. The food was terrific, and her recommendations were excellent. On top of that, we know it’s a pain to split bills, but because we come here for work due to finance expense policies, it is required that we split and itemize receipts, and Sophia had zero issues with this and went above and beyond. Other restaurants get easily frustrated by this request, but she was able to handle it efficiently without making us feel like a burden. This place is on my list of places to visit again when in Orlando. Thank you for the good ambience, music, drinks, food, and above all, AMAZING service.

Another insanely great addition to Downtown Orlando! Atmosphere: it’s small, cozy, intimate.. it gave me billionaire underground man-cave/speakeasy vibes.. it’s evident that they spent a ton of time in every detail. All around wood panelling, sconces everywhere, and just beautiful decor. Points for the disco ball which one would think doesn’t go with the place but it totally works! This seems like a great option for a romantic date, or small group of friends (they do NOT have large table), or just an excellent place to enjoy great food, amazing drinks and be able to hear each other without loud music. (There’s music playing but it’s ambient music). We had about 10 different tapas/plates. Carpaccio, pan con tomate, mushroom pate, the octopus, steak, rigatoni, arroz negro.. they were all delicious! Special mention: the mushroom pate was the best thing I’ve had in a long time! Definitely ask for extra bread. Drinks were fantastic and seemed reasonably priced. In fact the entire check came at just about $100/person with gratuity, which these days seems like a steal for such quality food and drinks. Highly recommend!

¿Ambiente? 5 estrellas. ¿Comida? 5 estrellas. ¿Servicio? Definitivamente 5 estrellas. Me sentí realmente agradecido.

I’d been wanting to try Sparrow for a while, and I’m glad we finally made it out for a girls night! We made a reservation ahead of time since we heard the space was small and more on the intimate side. The interior is super cute and VERY aesthetic! We ordered a few dishes to share, and my favorite was the mushroom pâté. I’d read good things about it, and it really did live up to the hype. Not what I expected, but in a good way! Our server was friendly and gave us some recommendations. My cocktail was a bit too strong for my taste, so I’d probably try something different next time. My sister did order the martini which we thought came with a pintxo as stated in the menu…but I guess they consider the garnish a pintxo (we were a little sad about that, I guess we’re used to it being more like a tapa on a stick/skewer). And another thing that was a letdown—we saw on the website that there was a late night happy hour starting at 9pm, which is why we booked a later reservation. But when we got there, the menu said “coming soon,” and our server confirmed it wouldn’t be happening for a few more months. That was a little disappointing since it was one of the main reasons we chose that reservation time. Still, it’s a cute spot and worth checking out if you’re in the area!

The food was amazing, I will not go in depth as my friend provided a detailed everything we ate as a review. I hope the food can have a bit more authenticity of Spain specially the octopus we ordered. But the other dishes were very good and hopefully will come back again if they upscale the tapas tastings

Definitely a great spot for date night! We will back! Very romantic and upscale hidden in the typically boring area of the North Quarter. The only caution id have for those choosing to come here is have dinner reservations elsewhere. The plates are small and delicious, but a very limited menu. Perfect place to start or end your evening but I would be hungry - even if you have a few dishes to share. Grab some drinks and tapas and continue on.

While the vibes and drinks are great, The food was unfortunately disappointing. Other than the mushroom pate, everything else we had wasn't that impressive. Also, it's overpriced for what you're getting. Service was friendly, but it was a bit slow. I'd only want to come back to try the afternoon tea.

We wanted truffle fries with a dipping sauce. Everything was an up charge. It ended up being over 18$ just for fries. The filet was like eating peppery soup. It was barely edible. The mushroom pate was absolutely delicious but they give small a small amount of bread so we ended up eating half of it with a spoon. Ambience is nice. Overall probably won’t go back for overprice mediocre food.

I enjoyed the vibe. Dimly lit, music at the right level for conversation. When I received my check for the 2 old fashioneds I ordered, it was itemized as follows for each one: Woodford - $16, Old Fashioned - $3, Large ice cube - $1. Now, I did ask for a large ice cube, but the server did not let me know that it was an upcharge. I would have gotten it anyway, but I might not have ordered 2. And charging $3 for an old fashioned means I paid an upcharge for bitters and simple syrup. It feels petty.

We tried Sparrow out last evening. Overall, I would give our experience a 3.7! The atmosphere was great and the music was fun and fit the environment. The drinks and wine were enjoyable. We ordered the mushroom pate, the salmon & tuna crudo, the first mignon, and the pulpo dish (octopus). All of the dishes were mediocre (not bad at all but definitely wouldn’t say outstanding) except the filet. The steak was TENDER, the cognac pepper sauce was delicious, and the portion size was more than we expected. Our least favorite dish was the octopus. There was little to no octopus (thinly sliced small pieces). I was truly disappointed. The service was great. She was very friendly and helpful. Overall, we’d probably go back to try some other dishes.

Valentines Day - Our server was miserable and made out like we were a huge problem....4 of us ate a lot - probably over ordered - someone ordered the carpaccio which was supposed to come with olive oil over it - asked for less cheese - came covered in cheese and no olive oil...we didn't complain but was charged for extra $ for olive oil and listen to this.....two of us ordered whiskey with a big block of ice and was charged $1 for the ice....have you ever??? No.....don't think I'll ever visit again....the atmosphere was ok....but they played the same music over and over..our bill was over $400....I gave 18% which I don't think she deserved at all! Maybe our server was upset about working on V. Day but still....

Terrible experience, sadly. MEAN WORKERS, SLOW SERVICE, DENIED extra food, and was upset had a party of 7???? (So DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU HAVE A GROUP OF PEOPLE) For how EXPENSIVE it was too, I’d at least expect better from this place. I’ve received way better service from a McDonald’s. I was so excited to come here with my friends (Saturday November 1st around 7/8pm) We started off with 5 people, and had 2 more people joining us. I asked our server if we could either move to a bigger table, or if it was okay to squeeze everyone in where we were already. (I just wanted to make sure if it was okay with them, we truly did not mind staying in one table if there was no others available) They said no, and someone came to the table saying how “this wasn’t the place for that”. So you’re telling me if you have a party of 7 or more this is not the place to be? Lol okay. Well now I know, for never again. Just happy to warn others After that situation, the service we received- felt like forever. It was like no one wanted to serve our table anymore and short to say, basically we were being stared at from each worker the entire night. Felt uncomfortable. My friend asked if she could get a side of grapes that we ordered from our cheese board and that she would even pay extra just for the grapes only, and they denied serving us it.- mind you after eating this cheese board I felt sick, and my stomach was upset for 2 days. I’m just really shocked because I was really excited and had high expectations for this place from what I’ve seen and heard. But the service my friends and I received really killed the night.

While this establishment looked like it had a beautiful atmosphere I was shocked by how rude the hostess was. We were a party of ten and said we were just looking to get a glass of wine and were happy to sit outside at different tables. She was adamant that they don’t accommodate large parties in spite the fact that the outside seating was empty. If you value service go elsewhere.

I will start by saying that the atmosphere of this restaurant was amazing! Other than that… the service was awful. Our server was one of the worst servers we have ever had. She was very rude and unprofessional. I have never felt so uncomfortable getting served by someone in my life. It felt like we were bothering her through the entire experience. Also the glass of wine we got served was basically a sample, no where near a full glass of wine. We would come back for the ambiance but the service really detracted from the experience.

After walking a mile to get to this wine bar, we were greeted by the hostess. We asked her if we could sit at the bar, as there were 2 open seats. She went and got the manager who came over to speak with us. There were 4-5 people at the bar at that time. She told us the bartender was overwhelmed at the moment but we were welcome to stand there and wait but to keep in mind that they close in 30 minutes. We just wanted one glass of wine, but I guess that was too much to ask for.
