Tako Cheena offers a unique fusion of Mexican tacos and Korean cuisine in a relaxed, open-air setting. Customers praise the delicious and generously sized tacos, the friendly service, especially from Rosy, and the diverse menu with vegetarian and vegan options.
Tip: Visit to try the fusion tacos, especially if you're looking for something different and flavorful. Rosy is great at explaining the menu and making recommendations.
Run, dont walk to this unassuming gem. Fabulous food and knowledgeable staff. The beet arepa was AMAZING. The tator tots, unique and delish. The menu is sufficient that if I lived close by, I'd be here often!
Very relaxed low key outdoor space with food that will have you wish you ordered more. Ordered the braised beef taco, bulgogi taco and the Korean wings. Came back for the Apple Ginger Empanadas and washed it down with a tall Mexican Coke. Really nice for a late night bite or just a chill spot to unwind after work without the bar scene. Definitely a must do and already looking forward to my next late night bite.
Rosey is the best! She introduced me to some new tacos on the menu. We always order the same yellow curry-dusted tofu tacos, but the other options she suggested were so good as well! Love this spot, I feel like it’s a healthy option for us when we are out and looking for a filling meal.
I’ve been going to Tako Cheena for about five years now, and every single visit has been amazing. I’ve never had to send anything back the food is consistently top tier, and the customer service is just as great. The staff always checks in to make sure everything is perfect, which really shows how much they care. I’ve never had a bad experience here. Definitely a 10/10, highly recommend. And no, they never asked me for a review either.
My family and I came for brunch and everything was absolutely fantastic the owner is awesome we enjoyed it very much and highly recommend everyone to come try!
THE BEST. The best. I will go out of my way to eat here anytime I drive through Orlando. Perfect combination of Latin & Asian flavors. The Korean dog does not disappoint. Been coming here for a decade and I swear the food gets better!
It was such a cool experience and it was very good. I do think the burrito I had should have had more beef and less rice but it was very good.
It’s so amazing, friendly and tasty. That every time I come back from productions in Orlando or even traveling from MCO. We enjoy the stop before heading home for another hour of commute.
First time but will not be the last time! Great food, great service, and really cute patio... did I mention great food! Will definitely be back again!
This place is always hopping at night but my partner and I stopped in on a suuuuper hot afternoon. Guys, there are NO FILTERS on these pictures. The two taco special is the perfect proportion. We tried the Thai peanut chicken, the yellow curry, the Greek lamb, and the Korean beef tacos. All exceptional and super flavorful. Also pictured are the angry tots and fried plantains. They’re good but the tacos are the stars. There are vegetarian options and substitutes! Absolutely an excellent spot for a quick, delicious, wallet-friendly bite. Take your favorite foodie or your best mate to try some epic taco flavors. Your tastebuds will thank you.
Tako Cheena remains one of my favorite spots for its creative food and vibrant atmosphere. On my recent visit, I ordered the Thai Panang Burrito with extra chicken, which was perfectly seasoned and delicious. The outdoor patio provided a wonderful setting to relax with friends, enhanced by a pleasant breeze and an enjoyable, eclectic music selection. The menu's creativity is a huge draw, and I'm eager to return. Having visited for years, I can say it's consistently great, and I look forward to many more meals here.
We have been going to TaKo Cheena for years when it was in its old location, originally our go to was the butter chicken burrito which is always delicious but you have to be early in the day or else they are sold out. We have since gone vegan and it is still one of favorites places, especially the Indian Curry Beets Arepa and Indian Curry Dusted Tofu Takos, so good! Staff is always super friendly and the service is great.
The BEST! When I say, THEEEE BEST!!!! I MEAN THE BEST! The beef arepas are my #1 go to when I order. (Like seriously, I was here every week) #2 would be the cheese arepas #3 Japan Dog #4 Korean Dog and let’s not forget the Yucca fries. Today I wanted to try the Lamb taco but the beef arepa was calling my name. Lol This is truly one of my favorite spots here in Orlando. Signed the Weight Loss Queen
Really tasty and many unique options. Pretty good portions for the price. Food came quick, hot, and fresh.
This place exceeded my expectations. Easily the best taco I’ve ever had. Everything is so fresh and flavorful. The empanadas (not pictured) were out of this world. My favorite taco was the one with pernil. Amazing customer service as well Joseph was very friendly and gave great recommendations. Will definitely be back!
Korean street fries with beef 9/10 Various tacos. 9.5/10 Around $25 Great flavor. Great variety. Cool patio seating. They suggested the three tacos and they were each unique and packed with flavor. They were good sized. They didn't go soggy. A nice twist on traditional tacos Street fries were filling. Fries were crispy and crunchy. The beef was flavored well and there was lots of it
Absolutely delicious. I've already had multiple people try this place, and the feedback is always good. The Indian curry tofu taco is one of the best things I've tasted. (The chocolate sauce that comes with the churros tastes so much like Haitian hot chocolate. Idk how to describe the difference between that and American hot chocolate, but it took me back to my childhood.)
Interesting and delicious Asian-Latin American fusion! The burritos are HUGE with a thin tortilla, filled to the brim, just the way I like it. The tacos and empanadas are also delicious. The arepas are the Colombian yellow cornmeal type with plenty of filling piled in, but I feel like in this instance the Venezuelan white cornmeal might be a better choice. We got takeout and it was ready within 15-20min. Prices are very reasonable for the generous portion sizes. Will definitely come back again.
The best Mexican-Asian fusion I've ever had! Everything I have tried is delicious. The staff is very friendly, the place is funky, the music is fun (mostly 80s) and the outdoor seating area is spacious. My favorites are the Thai Peanut Chicken (with tofu) on corn tortillas and the Vegan Empanada. Great vegan options!
I had of course heard of Tako Cheena's legend for years and years. I try my best to try all of the greatest restaurants around town, but Orlando just has so many good places! Anyway, my sights finally set on Cheena, and late one night, we stopped by and dug in. We ordered six tacos, a good assortment of what they offer, an empanada, and an arepa. Quite honestly, it was so long ago, I couldn't possibly remember what tacos I ordered or what empanada I ordered. But what I do remember is that it was all excellent. The tacos were magnificently built. First of all, they were flour tortillas. Those are my favorite for tacos. I know many of you are spitting out your beverage and calling me a phony, but hey, it is what it is. I love a good, soft, flour tortilla taco. These flour tortillas are stuffed to the brim with stuff. Tons of meat, juicy and flavorful. Tons of Vibrant, fresh vegetables that add so much to the taco. And then perfect garnishes. Peanuts for crunch, a sprinkle of cheese for unctuousness, cilantro for that pop. Just well-designed tacos. And then I say they're stuff, they are stuffed. There is no plausible way to eat these things without some droppage. I recommend waiting until the end and then collecting all of excess into one, combined mega-bite. So good. The empanada and the arepa were high quality, too. Also can't remember exactly what they had in them, but I remember that they were good. So anyway, Tako Cheena was a real winner. I am ashamed that it took me so long to get here, but I know I will be back.
This place defitnely deserves 5 stars just because of the feeling I got from eating their burrito! I ordered the Korean burrito and it was one of the first times I've tried kimchi and now I'm addicted. The place has a nice outside seating area with cute lights, they provide free water and a sink to wash your hands (very classy touch). The food takes a little bit to come out but once you get it it's worth the wait. They play nice music and the vibe around you is so friendly. Defitnely a must try! Although there were some foods I didn't like (the chicken empanada) I still believe this place is a great spot.
Loved it. The food concept is cool enough ( Asian/Mexican/Latin mix ) its basically tacos, burritos and bowls that feature a mix of Mexican/Latin flavor profiles as well as Asian seasonings and protein. Its damn good. Try the Taco 3 Pak. It's roughly $9.75 and you can pick 3 tacos. You choose flour or corn tortilla and then sit and wait for your order. When it's ready, they call you and you collect from the window. We had the 3 tacos, a burrito and the tots. Summary ? Mucho Delicious ! The Korean Beef burrito is amazing so don't ignore it. The tacos are divine. Dont be afraid to pay a little extra for the Pork Belly tacos. Lastly, the owner comes around around says hi and he is genuinely one of the easiest going people ever. Love the food, love the owners and I am now a fan. See ya soon
𝚁𝚘𝚜𝚜𝚢 its a sweetheart, she did a great recommendation with the bbq pork belly and the pernil asado tacos, I have to mention that the texture, seasoning and presentation was outstanding, I don’t give reviews to often but this place is definitely one that is worthy to give an excellent one, best of luck to them!
Good unique taste. Good price also. The waiter was super very friendly. He gave us free desserts that's like tortilla chips with cinnamon sugar icing and butterscotch syrup. It was very good.. Definitely recommend to everyone. The only thing is parking you have to park on the side of the restaurant (street parralel parking).
If you’re questioning whether or not to try this place out, DO IT! Thank me later. I first found Tako Cheena on a trip several years ago and have been insatiably craving them ever since. After hyping this place up to my wife for the past few years, we finally got to visit together and introduce her to the most heavenly tacos anywhere. We were not disappointed! There isn’t a bad option on the whole menu, but my favorites (in order): 1. Pork belly (duh) 2. Thai chicken 3. Bulgogi As it happens, there is a 3-taco special. Coincidence? I think not. Funky ambiance, a little outside the more popular destinations, and very hearty portions - all adding to the allure. Update: Brought the family this time. My 11-yo daughter's reaction: "Mmmm, amazing. Am I dreaming?!"
I can't say enough good things about this place, one of the best restaurants in the Orlando area and that's really saying something. I had high expectations due to friends constantly telling me how good it is and I was not disappointed, if anything I feel like words truly cannot describe just how good this food is.
On a scale of cotton candy to Brussels sprouts, Tako Cheena is a tango of flavor and celebration. Every bite makes me want to do a happy dance. My friends and I decided to order together, and we opted for two appetizers and five tacos. I was head over heels for the fries, and I swooned for the pad Thai taco. Parking was a breeze as they have their own lot, and we enjoyed the outside seating, especially since they have hand-washing stations.
We really enjoyed Tako Cheena! It’s a great little spot in Orlando with a cool vibe. The tacos are delicious, with a fusion of Asian flavours. I highly recommend it, especially if you’re visiting Orlando. A friend told us about it, and we are so glad we checked it out! (The best of the tacos we tried are pernil asado and codfather. And the lady that works there is very nice. 😊)
I ordered the Reina arepa…Overload of cheese!! Let me start by talking about the arepa itself…great tasting arepa! It taste like a Venezuelan arepa…for those of you that are Colombian, I would describe it as an regular arepa with a subtle taste of chocolo so I would call it an hybrid arepa haha! Very good arepa. At the bottom you have mozzarella cheese, then a big piece of queso frito, then you get the meat with a tangy delicious sauce and on top of it you will find your veggies and cilantro. 10 out of 10! Surprisingly good. Official Hawaiian taco review: 6.3
Incredible tacos with a unique Asian spin. I tried the three premium tacos (char siu BBQ pork belly, panko crusted cod, and tom yum mojo shrimp, which is also the order in which I’d rank them from most to least favorite) and the pernil asado arepa. The corn tortilla was the perfect vehicle, and the filling for each taco was true to its description. My only critique is that the tom yum flavor was too subtle. As for the arepa, it was very filling. I air-fried it the next day, and it still tasted good. The person who took my order was super friendly. There is outdoor seating and a small parking lot.
The food is incredible, and the service is friendly and welcoming. Only has outside seating but that's no fault of theirs. Definitely will be coming back when I'm in the area.
Not busy at all on a Sunday night, and greeted with friendly service. Got my food fairly quick. Ordered the three taco special, choosing three separate tacos (the gyro meat one, bulgogi beef, and a chicken/curry one) and they were absolutely killer. All of them were flavor bombs in their own unique way. Area seemed a little sketchy, but I'm not from Orlando so what do I know. Food was top tier.
Yesterday my order was horrible and this is the first time I've had a bad taco from them. When I called last night, the young lady over the phone was sweet and apologetic and listened to my concerns. Today the manager Edgardo called me and also apologized and wanted to make it right. He even offered to deliver my lunch at my work place downtown. That was super sweet. They really care about their product (from beginning to end) and building a positive reputation. Despite my one bad experience out of so many good ones, I would recommend Tako Cheeno. Also their new place during lunch is really cool!
Amazing place, absolutely loved the pork belly and pork shoulder tacos, can't wait to try more. The guy who took my order and brought it out (I'm assuming the owner) was really nice and provided exceptional service, made my experience even better. Definitely will be coming back to continue trying more.
Omg these tacos are soooo good. It was cold outside and yet the staff kept coming out and checking on all of us. Great experience!
My boyfriend and I traveled from Tallahassee to see our favorite band FROM TALLAHASSEE playing downtown. We were not let into the bar the band was playing at as my partner is 20. It ruined our night and the entire city of Orlando for us. We then found here, and everything turned around, amazing food, great environment, and such an awesome queer friendly spot. Literally, the best food I've had in years, everything on the menu looked tremendous, but the four tacos I tried blew my FREAKING MIND! The Tom Yum Mojo Shrimp, Thai Peanut Chicken, Pernil Asado, and Mary's Greek Lil Lamb, all each had such unique flavor profiles, I've never tasted anything as savory and delicious as that. Service was friendly, helpful, and quick. We got our food in less than 10 minutes, while it was busy, late on a Friday night. We will definitely be telling anyone we know going to or even through Orlando to come here. I would come back here all the way from Tallahassee, just to eat food here again. Seriously, this place deserves to be visited by Guy Fieri, Gordon Ramsey, or some food personality. It deserves more exposure, go here if you haven't.
I'm always on the look out for a great taco spot for Taco Tuesdays. Tako Cheena wasn't even on my radar when I was searching but I'm glad I visited. They are open a little later than others and that makes for a great late evening taco stop. The set up is super dope and has touches of unique elements that make it hard to forget. The taco options are amazing with a variety of flavors and styles. A lot of items were able to switch for vegan options. Food was tasty and services quick. Also a big shout out to Brittany for being super friendly, helpful and for the suggestions.
A great place to try fusion tacos. All the ones we tried were super delicious and would definitely visit again whenever i am in Orlando next. Good ambience, they have a food truck on the side(not operational) but looks like you are eating from food truck. Although they have patio where you can sit and enjoy your meal:)
Service is fantastic, food is delicious! Unforunately I inhaled the food before I thought to take pics. I’ve taken my gluten intolerant friend here and even she finds something yummy every time!
I’ve been a customer at Tako Cheena on and off for the past eight years. I fell in love when they had only one location next to the LGBQT+ center. Service was and still is excellent overall. They know how to hire the right people for FOH & BOH. I love the aesthetic of the new location. It’s very artistic and one of a kind. My favorite is the Curry Dusted Tofo and Cod Taco. However, I’ve noticed a decline in the quality of their food. It’s still decent but a lot less care has been put forth in the menu. Almost every time I visit, they are out of something on their menu. I was surprised they served me a taco with a third of the shell missing. It wasn’t busy, no massive orders were coming in but I noticed the manager micromanaging the workers that may have caused tension. Tako Cheena is still a great concept and I believe with just a little more care, it could live up to a 5 star potential.
We came here yesterday for my birthday and the food, vibes and staff were amazing!! We were large group but Edguardo was so accommodating and kept checking in to see if we needed anything and brought us dessert I recommend this place to anyone looking for a unique and delicious spot in winter park !!
This spot is a must-visit for taco lovers! The food is delicious, the vibe is super cool, and the environment is one-of-a-kind. I love popping in every now and then for a taste adventure - the variety keeps me coming back!
The food is absolutely delicious, great taste, so flavorful and amazing. I would have loved to share photos, but it smelled so good, we started eating before thinking about taking pictures. 10 out of 10 recommend this spot. The Godfather taco, pork belly taco and the Korean dog, with Asian sauce hit the spot. Rosie gave us the best recommendations and we will be back to try new tacos next time.
This is Mex-Asian fusion. The tables are all outside. This is a fun place to get an excellent meal. The ingredients are fresh, and well prepared. The staff is friendly, helpful, and professional. This is a regular stop when we are in this area of Orlando. If you stop by, you’ll know what I mean.
Very vegan friendly, even the desserts by request. Reasonable pricing. Creative, inventive dishes, not something you can just easily recreate at home. Very casual, outdoor seating only, good tunes!
I love this place! When I was visiting Orlando 7 years ago we happened upon Tako Cheena and I have been dreaming about coming back since. Just finished our meal there and it was just as delicious as I remember! And the people who work here are awesome! Thank you!!
AMAZING!!! My sister and I came and got two tacos each. We decided to share so we can try it all. Everything was amazing especially the brisket one. Definitely recommend and if we come back to Orlando we will be coming back.
One of my favorite places in Orlando! We eat here anytime we're in town. Owner is the nicest guy and the food is amazing. My favorites are the signature tako's but especially yellow curry dusted tofu. Highly recommend!
As soon as I saw the menu here, I knew I wanted to try it on our trip to Orlando. Narrowing down what to order was a challenge, but my husband and I shared: - Indian Curry Beet Arepa - Thai Peanut Chicken Taco - Japa Dog I loved everything. The Indian Curry Beet Arepa was my favorite because it was such an interesting fusion and flavor combination. I've never had anything like it before and I loved it. Latin Asian fusion was a great combo and I would highly recommend checking this spot out.
Delicioso Tacos is a hidden gem! From the moment you step in, the aroma of freshly grilled meats and spices fills the air. The menu offers a wide variety of tacos, each bursting with authentic flavors. The service is friendly and quick, making it a perfect spot for a casual lunch or dinner. Don't miss out on this neighborhood taco spot!
This is easily the best taco place in Orlando. Every time. The tacos are big and the prices are reasonable. They have many different flavors that work without trying oh-so-hard to be different. Their options just work and taste amazing! I also Love the hole in the wall feel and uncomplicated atmosphere.
Thank you Rosie 😊. TaKo Cheena is a delightful gem in Orlando, offering a unique twist on authentic Mexican cuisine with a touch of international flair. From the moment you step inside, the vibrant and eclectic atmosphere immediately sets a fun and welcoming tone, making it a perfect spot for families. Each dish is crafted with fresh, high-quality ingredients, ensuring a burst of flavor in every bite. The staff at TaKo Cheena are friendly, attentive, and passionate about the food they serve. They are more than happy to explain the menu and offer recommendations based on your preferences. Their warm and welcoming demeanor adds to the overall positive experience, making you feel right at home. TaKo Cheena is a fantastic spot for families. The diverse menu caters to all taste buds, and the playful atmosphere ensures that kids and adults alike have a great time. The casual setting allows for a relaxed dining experience where families can enjoy their meal without feeling rushed.
My sister recommended I check out Tako Cheena, and I'm glad I did! The atmosphere, staff, and food were BOMB! My birthday was on April 28, and even though I didn't catch her name, the cashier, who's birthday was on the 22nd, made me feel special and welcomed, she was extremely friendly and pleasant to be around. The food.... chef's kiss! I got a little bit of everything, and even some to take back home to Georgia with me 😅, just look at my pictures...
Tako China in the Mills District is the kind of place that reminds you why Orlando’s food scene keeps leveling up. I had the tofu peanut and curry tofu tacos and they were unreal. Easily the best tacos I’ve had anywhere in Florida. Bold flavor, perfect texture, and somehow both comforting and creative at the same time. The peanut tofu has this rich, savory depth with just the right amount of crunch, and the curry tofu brings heat and brightness without overpowering everything else. You don’t leave thinking “good for tofu.” You leave thinking “that was just straight up great food.” The whole spot has that laid-back, vibe Mills is known for. Outdoor seating, string lights, casual energy, good music, people hanging out and actually enjoying their food. It feels intentional but not try-hard. If you like inventive tacos, plant-forward options that don’t feel like an afterthought, and a relaxed neighborhood atmosphere, Tako China is a must. I’ll absolutely be back.
A wonderful medley of flavors! We were in the area and needed a quick bite. Wow, we had no idea just how satisfyingly delicious it would be! We loved everything we tried. We liked it so much that we returned later for a late dinner. We recommend the queso blanco arepa, angry tots, Indian yellow curry taco, and the Thai peanut taco. Yum! So flavorful! A new favorite place!
This is a must try not so hidden gem in Orlando- the owner is incredibly kind! Had some of the best tacos and the best service of my life here >:) The bulgogi taco was phenomenal!! And the ginger apple empanadas are out of this world 🦭
The food was sooo good—full of flavor and clearly made with care. But honestly? Edgardo was even better. He was kind, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed without ever feeling rushed. Was very knowledgeable about the food and helped us with our gluten allergy. This place nails both food and hospitality.
Absolutely delicious food and truly gluten-friendly. I’m extremely sensitive to gluten, and I can confidently say I’ve never gotten sick here. That alone speaks volumes. The food is consistently flavorful, fresh, and thoughtfully prepared, and it’s clear they take dietary needs seriously rather than treating them as an afterthought. It’s such a relief to enjoy a great meal without anxiety. Highly recommend for anyone who is gluten-free, or honestly, anyone who just loves really good food.
Delicioso!💯
Very interesting flavor combinations. I loved the asian flair to the street taco experience. The restaurant wasn’t what I expected with only outdoor seating on the street side. They were never overwhelmed while we were there and they cranked out food pretty quick. I would return. They did have a lot of tacos marked unavailable that I would have loved to try. I don’t know if it is a permanent change or simply low on ingredients. Thanks for the unique twist and fabulous flavors!
I've heard about this place for a while now and finally decided to stop in for lunch today. It's such a cute and cool vibe! The decor is bright and cheerful. The menu is decently priced and everything looks yummy! I got a Korean Beef burrito and my first impression was it was HUGE!! My second impression... It was DELICIOUS!! Can't wait to try more!
Great fun taco, and more, place in the area. The food is good and decently priced. The staff is nice and seemingly caring. My first time there and after I finished the window oerson came to ask which one was my favorite. I had 3 tacos. My favorite was the chicken thai peanut. Very well done. I tried the Korean bbq which was also good. And the lamb gyro style, which was a bit dry; a bit of taziki would have made it better. They have a spicy sauce, allegedly ghost pepper. It has disappointingly not spices, but had a good flavor, so that was good.
This place was recommended to by one of my buddies. Went and checked it out. The tacos here we're all fantastic. I got the Asian brasied beef, the Mary's Little lamb, the panku breaded cod and the mojo shrimp tacos. They were all good but the Asian brasied beef and the mojo shrimp tacos we're especially good. I really wanted to try the char su pork belly tacos but they were sold out. Service was ok. Next time I am in the area I will be going back here!
I use to come here all the time because they have vegan options. Now they hardly have vegan options and always running out of food. They also got rid of the vegan empanadas, which were amazing. The risk is too high to go here anymore for me.
DJ was spinning some great house, great vibe. Wish they served booze, feels like a missed opportunity. Tacos were definitely flavorful and interesting. They should up their flour tortilla game though, a thinner fresher version would make their taco fleet unbeatable. The star was the arepa with roasted pork. Sensational!!! Would go back anytime.
Great food great service. I was a little bit down that they had no seating inside. I definitely recommend a place if you’re OK eating outside.
The food was good and the lady at the window was very nice. Nice little sitting area for dinner outside. Only reason for my 4 starts instead of 5 is the chicken in my burrito didn't seem to be quality. Had a good bit of gristle that honestly just makes my stomach turn when I bite into it. Couldn't finish it after that, that's a me problem though. I do wish they had child booster seats, we had to improvise with the stroller for my 18 month son.
Oddly charming little roadside dive in Mills 50. They were out of tofu for the Indian Curry Dusted selection I wanted so I tried the Indian Curry Beet Arepas. Crazy good - plenty of delish sauce, and complex in texture and flavor - most satisfying. 🌮 One star off for the snotty, hospitality-challenged girl at the order counter.
Had a very nice visit here on a taco Tuesday. The food and service were all on point(I was really surprised the place was crowded on a Tuesday). The food came out very quick, but it was hot, and the flavors were insane. I can’t believe it took me so long to stop in here. The first time I’ve been here, but won’t be my last. Can’t wait for a second trip...
The food is so good! I am a taco lover and have never had some of the options offered hear. I’ve tried a lot of the tacos from chicken, cod, and braised beef. They were all amazing! The fries are pretty good too just no ketchup so bring your own. 😂 Great Vibes with the outside sitting areas.
We love it here! Typically amazing! Tried the tofu for the first time and it was overly breaded & dry, made the whole meal not good :( everything else on the menu is always great!
They were out of chicken which sucks cause their peanut Thai chicken taco is delicious. Instead we had a fish taco, pork belly taco and a bulgogi beef. All great tacos with the purple slaw and doesn’t make you feel heavy. I ordered churros this time to satisfy my sons sweet tooth. It came with a chocolate caramel and another sauce I can’t recall. I’ve had better churros. These were hard so I kept making a mess. Anyway it was a nice lunch for a Tuesday. #tryit
The good: I had the Tai Burrito and it was huge The Burrito was very flavorful The service was good The value could have been great but The bad: There was very very little chicken in the Burrito. Mostly rice. For $20 including tip I expect more than 2 or 3 ounces of meat in my Burrito. It's a shame because I could have referred my coworkers to this place which would have brought them a lot of business. I work with a group of 53 big hungry guys that eat out for lunch everyday. Unfortunately I most likely will not return.
Tako Cheena is in a cool neighborhood and the outside seating makes for a great spot to bring the pup. Appears we dined on a bad night because half of the tacos and some additional ingredients were not available. Not sure how you can be out of cojito cheese when serving tacos - you can pick that up at Publix down the road. We ordered a variety of tacos but all toppings were the same. I give the tacos a 3.5. Ordered K Fries. Fries were perfectly cooked - loved them, but very little kimchi and cheese sauce. Finally, I tried to get a take out box from the window but after 4 minutes of no one coming, I walked away. I would definitely go back to try a burrito and give the tacos another chance when all ingredients are available.
The flavors are very subtle. Conceptually it is very cool and makes a grat attempt at fusion with many different cuisines. However the spice level lacks the edge that the actual cuisine brings and combined with the tortilla dilutes it even more. I really wanted to love the Tom Yum Shrimp, Indian Yellow Curry and Lamb Gyro - all tacos on corn tortilla, but they came up short on flavor. Not a bad concept though.
Sorry, but the food was not good to me or my family. It taste like a bunch of stuff thrown together or a bomb went off in the kitchen. Not sure why this place is rated high unless this is the only place people can get a bite to eat during late hours. We ordered different types of foods from the menu and were left disappointed.
Let me start by saying the food quality was good, it was the selection that I had a problem with. Part of the reason I went to this restaurant was because of their vegetarian selection. When I went to order I was told they were out of tofu and it wouldn’t be ready for two hours. I asked if I could have something with beans like a burrito and she said no but they could give me a protein burrito and take the meat out. This would just leave cheese and toppings which isn’t very appetizing. There is no indoor seating for this restaurant which I didn’t know before hand, and only 4 picnic benches under an awning. It was raining so really only 2 of the tables were clear from getting wet. Overall my angry tots dish as good, but certainly not the healthiest dinner I could’ve had.
Totally fooled by the great reviews. No way in heck is this the best tacos around. Totally underwhelming and lacking on all fronts. Had to bring a brisket taco back because it had not meat. All fat. They passed it off as a pork belly. Got the chicken wings. Small and not that great. I did t know a wingtip was consider a wing. Definitely not coming back here. To many other places to eat.
really really overpriced for what it is. i asked for limes or sauces and they had none except for a “special sauce” that was just mayonnaise and ketchup 😐 service was very slow too. absolutely NOT worth almost 6 dollars for ONE small taco that’s 90% cabbage with 2 pieces of meat. go to a real mexican restaurant for more bang for your buck.
The woman working in the front on the 3am shift on january 3rd 2026 was extremely rude. She told me to go sit outside in the cold to wait the three minutes for my order . I told her it's okay.I can just wait for it and she was extremely rude about it.And told me to sit in my car instead then. Then continuedto play on her phone like she was doing when I walked in . Additionally the place is filthy. I think they only offer delivery and pickup orders to my understanding. this place was absolutely nasty
Found hair and plastic in the Korean beef burrito! On Thursday, 3/20, around 6:05 pm, I grabbed a Korean beef burrito to go after grocery shopping. I didn’t eat it until 7:42 pm. When I finally took a bite, the beef tasted undercooked. I shrugged it off, then bit into something that felt like plastic. The worst part came when I chewed on a tough, inedible piece of hair. I was disgusted and lost all appetite.I immediately called the restaurant. The person who answered said the manager had already left, but they’d take my contact info for follow-up. A woman called me back a few minutes later, confirming my order but repeating that nothing could be done until the manager reached out. By Friday, 3/21, there was no follow-up, so I called again. Another woman assured me the manager would contact me. Now it’s Saturday, 3/22, at 10:35 pm, and I still haven’t heard anything.
We have always liked Tako Cheena and visit when we are in the Orlando area. It had been several months since our last visit and we ordered on 3/1/26 and arrived to pick up our order at 10:30p. The staff we have encountered in the past were always so kind and professional but when we arrived and followed the instructions at the pick window and rung the bell once, we waited a few minutes and an older woman eventually came to the window, did not greet us, just looked at us annoyed and said "I will help you in a minute" and went away. We waited patiently and finally got our order. The food was not good at all. We were so disappointed because we have always had great food from Tako Cheena. Im not sure if the owner/managenent has changed since we last visited but the meat in the tacos and Korean dog tasted old, cold, and salty, and the yuca fries and churros tasted like they were fried in old grease, double dipped, and overcooked crispy and oily. In addition to this we paid an additional cost for corn tortillas for the tacos and received the regular flour tortillas. The best thing from the order was the Mexican Cola. There is too many good food options to spend your money on in that area than to get bad service and gross food. Based on our experience we will not return to Tako Cheena. Im not sure what happened but it is not what it use to be.
I'll never know what happened. Years ago I'd come here get the burritos and love them, especially that Indian chicken one. They had to remove a few items during covid but it's been years and everything has changed. Last time I tried it was stringy beef in the burrito without any other flavor or texture, like they got bought out or a chef quit. It was a staple that has fallen off the hardest of any place I've known which is truly ashame.
