First rule of thumb: Make reservations. Celebrated birthday party of 2 and total bill not including tip $170. Normally we absolutely do not mind paying such a large tab because we chose these items for a special night. The problem we encountered was the service from Brantley was very rushed and a bit impersonal which took away from our overall experience. We ordered A LOT of tapas so I must say all the crew had extreme hustle bussing the tables when each tapas was finished… so well done guys👏🏼 The yellowtail ceviche was my fav as well as Chilean Sea Bass skewer(s) Crab croquettes was a fav of birthday boy! Pork belly boa buns and yellowtail press roll was also delicious. Not too impressed with the eggplant tempura… just a bit tasteless. We also ordered 2 chilled Saki flights and both were good. Sadly, I did not remember to take a single picture of our many plates I guess because they all are brought out separately in true tapas style. I did manage get a photo of our Saki flights 😜 We will return in the future because the food is that good and in hopes of not being treated like a number 😋

The Modern is a fantastic spot for indulging in elevated and exquisite tapas. It's the perfect place to share food and try a bit of everything. My family's favorite dish? Without a doubt, it's the wings! They are simply amazing and a must-try when you visit. The atmosphere is vibrant, making it an ideal place for gatherings. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a delightful dining experience!

Cute place to come for tapas and drinks. The ingredients are fresh and the dishes were all very delicious. They do offer some small entrees if you don’t want tapas. Definitely recommend the Korean wings and the mushroom bimbibap.

We had a great time here for dinner and drinks on a Friday night. We arrived and were told it’s open seating so basically hunger games to find a table and seat yourself. However, we were lucky enough a server came over to us and let us know a table was getting up and we could have their table right away. Our servers name was Anthony and he was amazing from the start to the finish. He was extremely nice and high energy and seemed to enjoy his job. He gave us some great recommendations and we listened! The crab Rangoon milk bread was okay, definitely should be a dip with toasted baguette slices instead. The duck wontons were okay the sauce was very heavy on peanut butter and tasted like it was just that, peanut butter. The shrimp and crab dumplings were a nice refreshing bite however, it was missing something, maybe some acid. The mushroom bao buns that our server recommended was the best thing we ate all night. Absolutely delicious. The spicy pasta however, tasted terribly off and the flavor profile seemed to be a miss. Overall we did enjoy the atmosphere, service and drinks.

Great place for drinks and upscale dining. Walking distance from the Dr. Phillips Performing art and a great location to start the night if you are watching a show. Ambiance was on point, perfectly curated decor and a great variety of specialty cocktails.

We had such a great time at this restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious, beef bulgogi, sushi, noodles, cocktails! We also loved the atmosphere, not quiet but that's what we like. We were actually surprised that it was so busy on a Wednesday evening. Definitely something we liked and we will come back.

My sister and I want to send a shout out and love to Matthew, Taylor and MJ! (There was another bartender with hands of steel for grabbing my sister’s hot bowl from the bar, however, unfortunately we didn’t get his name. This is for him too.) I want to say thank you for the entire experience at The Moderne! We were visiting from GA/AL for my sister’s birthday and initially we were supposed to go to another place but it was too crowded so we ended up at The Moderne and we both were so glad we did! MJ was the host and so pleasant and welcoming! Matthew greeted us immediately once we sat at the bar. He was attentive throughout the night and kept us laughing! The bartender whose name we missed was just as fun and he wasn’t even our bartender! And Taylor… our dear Taylor was the best “Ok-est Bartender” a woman could ask for! He checked on us and kept us laughing when Matthew had to step away and tend to other things. Needless to say, my sister and I had a blast on top of the great ambiance, food and drinks! A perfect night to end our visit to Orlando. We will come down again this summer and I hope they are all there when we come back. We will be looking for them!

We went on a Saturday night and it was super busy. Seat yourself. Menus are scanned with QR code at your table. Once seated, we sat for 20 min before the server came by. The manager ended up bringing us waters. Once the server did come to the table, everything was smooth sailing. Food was delicious and unique. Ive never seen some of the menu items at other restaurants. We had the broccolini, wagyu bibimap, Japanese crab bun, & yellowtail press. The flavors really were amazing. I can’t wait to go back and try some of the other menu items. Photos are after we already dug in. But they came out exactly as pictured in their menu.

Food: Unique flavors, mixing things up with a little spice and cilantro. We got a splattering of dishes; Duck Wontons (with a peanut chili oil sauce), Red Snapper Fish Boa (very tasty), Snapper Skewer and Chilean Seabass Skewer (the seabass had a lighter fresher taste to it), Yellowtail Press Roll (-jalapeño) and the Fire Roasted Duck (the best of all the dishes). Service: Our main person was super sweet, others came around to drop off food and pickup dishes, and they too were nice. Atmosphere: Great vibe, a touch of elegance, and fun space to hangout in. Price: It wasn’t as bad as I thought it was going to be. Adding a specialty drink to all the food mentioned above, it came out to around $138 with tip.

This place gets pretty busy but I'm not sure how it doesn't have a line out the door every single day. The food and service here is phenomenal. Its alot of tapas and they do it right you barely wait 5 minutes from your first food order until the food is at your table. My wife has been bringing me leftovers for months and I finally got a chance to go with her. We got the fried chicken which I have had many renditions at many restaurants and this may be the best chicken I had sauce was just sticky enough not too overpowered and the crispy wings were perfect. The shrimp and crab gyoza were simply delicious The crab ragoon dip was the only let down.... I asked the server if it was always like that and he didn't really know as he didn't eat it but it was very cream cheese forward. As a cook I would have loved for it to taste more crab and chive forward to really give it that rangoon experience and perhaps a dash of thai chili The quesadilla might be the best thing on the menu I'm not sure if it's the cheese the pork or the sauce but I could order like 5 of these and skip everything and be happy The miso noodles are always delicious and never let me down

I absolutely loved this spot! It has such a classy ambiance, and the service was flawless each employee truly went out of their way to make you feel at ease. The drinks were not only beautifully presented but also colorful and delicious. Plus, the menu offered a wide variety of Asian fusion tapas that will absolutely captivate your taste buds!"

First time dining at this place and now it’s on my top restaurant list! We were a group of 3 girls and split everything evenly. There were options for all kind of food preferences: spicy, vegetarian, vegan, etc. every dish we had was absolutely delicious! Our favorites were the mushroom bipimbap, the eggplant, and the salmon press sushi. We sat at the bar and Taylor gave us awesome service and great recommendations. This is a perfect restaurant for anyone wanting to try to unique and delicious foods, with an interesting atmosphere.

Came here on a late night tip. Made an hr drive so we can be out of the house. One of the reasons why we chose this place was due to the fact that it was open til 2a and we have never been there before. Then menu looked decent and so we pulled up. After 10p they allow u to seat urself if u can find a spot. But thankfully we found a booth and was immediately greeted/welcomed by our waiter Anthony who cleaned our table. When he dropped the menus off we immediately saw the Korean Fried Chicken as part of the appetizer, Ribs, Chicken & Steak Kabobs. The KFC wings were amazing. 🤤 They had the right amount of breaded crisp to them and the sweet Korean sauce they were submerged in was 👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾🔥🔥🔥. We had 2 orders of these wings. Definitely a must to order. The ribs had good flavor, sweetness to them but were too tough (not extremely) and the order came out with only 2 ribs. The Kabobs were good. Both the chicken and beef with the grilled veggies. You get 2 kabobs per order, which isn’t too bad. Overall the vibe was a young crowd. Lots of ppl of all cultures enjoying ea other and just conversating. The noise level was between med to high…had some music playing in the background..most ppl was hanging around the bar. Not a bad spot for a late night snack, date night or a small group hangout spot.

A great experience! Vibes are great. Music is great. The service was amazing. Food was delicious. Anthony, our server, was so fun and we had a great experience. Also has vegan options that were all delicious. :’) Vegan baos are fire. Green curry and garlic kimchi edamame all great. Cocktails fun & balanced. Would recommend to all!

Good vibes, food, atmosphere. Fun place for date night. We got the lady in white lychee drink and the passion fruit yellow tail ceviche/sashimi. Both were yummy. They have other asian inspired tapas which also looked tasty. We'll try them next time when we're not so full from dinner.

Excellent place to spend time, place is very nice. The name match perfectly with the decoration, food and Drinks. The lamb rack, Asian Ribs and of course the mushrooms Bibimbap are a must order. The have a very interesting and unique drink menu, my favorite is the Nice Pear. You want to have fun, good food and drinks. Visit this place…

This place exceeded our expectations! We had great service, the food was really good, and the drink options were fun! We got 2 orders of the Korean fried chicken wings (bc yes they were that good), but beware they have a kick! Then we also ordered the vegetarian gyoza, and the edamame for appetizers. My husband and I are big fans of bibimbap so of course we ordered that, along with the tuna & salmon hand rolls, and the Chilean sea bass skewers to top it off. As for the drinks, I ordered A Woman in White cocktail which is a lychee martini with a smoke bubble on the top and I definitely recommend if you want something fun, light and tasty! We saw so many options for food & drinks that we didn’t get so we will definitely be back.

Lindsey is an amazing bartender! She made me a special birthday drink and was even kind enough to give me the recipe before we left. She really made the experience so nice and fun! The atmosphere is very cozy and intimate. The food is good but I’d definitely return for the drinks and vibes!

We come here every weekend and might every night after tonight. The bartender Eldan an amazing, my husband doesn’t drink alcohol, he drink mocktails only. And any time we come he tried the best to make special mocktails for him. Tonight I give him hard job, My stomach hurt, I can’t drink alcohol. Of course, the bar don’t have hot tea for me but Eldan can make some hot drink specile for me . Thank you so much.

**this is a review during the soft opening and prices/ food options may change. This is a great new spot! We did not have anything we weren’t raving about - even the poutine! Pictured is the Poutine, Curry Udon, KFC, and Shishito peppers. I really can’t even highlight just one because they were all so good. Not pictured that we also got was the Miso Cream which was one of our favorites. Prices were very reasonable for tapas and the portions are nice - although we were told the prices may change after the soft opening. Drinks were great as well and prices vary on cocktails form $10-12. Atmosphere is really top notch. The bar in the middle is beautiful and the decorations around the restaurant are superb! (Comfortable seating too) They have a patio that faces colonial and all places in here are handicap accessible.

Great food but exceptional service! Our bartender, Lindsey, went above and beyond. I order a drink from the menu to start but then asked her to get creative and, WOW! What a great mixologist! Look forward to coming back soon. You will NOT be disappointed. Don’t forget to ask for Lindsey!

If you're looking for a fun spot in downtown Orlando to get AMAZING food and drinks then The Moderne is the place for you. As soon as we walked in we fell in love with the layout of the place. There were different sections for "lounging" scattered around the outer rim of the restaurant with the bar situated in the middle. The really cool look partnered with the incredible service sets the stage for an amazing evening. Now let's get into the food and drinks. Drinks: We started by ordering a couple of the cocktails they had on the menu. I wanted something more refreshing so I ordered the "Mother's Mercy". If you want to have some fun with your drink order the "Woman in White" or the "Dragon in a Bag". Another fun one was the "Unfit For Waltzing After Supper". Food: The drinks are amazing absolutely amazing. However, the food is absolutely the star of the show. Here's some delicious appetizers: - The "Korean Fried Chicken" was crispy and delicious. I could have only ordered those and left satisfied. - The "She's Spicy" Vegan Bao Buns were probably my favorite dish of the night. - The Veggie Gyoza" was also a great time. If you're not full after the apps then here are some more "substantial" dishes. - The "Korean Vodka Pasta" was the second best thing I ate. We even ordered some pita chips to scoop up the remaining sauce. - The "Miso Cream Noodle" was delicious. We actually ended up dunking the noodles from this dish into the Korean Vodka Pasta sauce. - If you're into raw fish then the "Tuna Kobachi" is going to be the best move for you. I know you'll enjoy this spot as much as we did! I'll be going back in the very near future. Suggestions: - I would suggest getting a reservation. This reserves a table for you for 2 hours.

Great experience, great prices, great atmosphere. We found it on a Monday when they were running happy hour and we had a great time. Ordered the ribs (10/10), the KFC wings (9/10), croquettes (9/10) and the seafood pasta (9/10). They made these really well and it was delicious. Their service was great too

We visited The Moderne a few days ago for the first time, and WOW - we will definitely be going back! This place is amazing, has so many good menu items, and is a perfect new addition to the Mills/50 area of Orlando! A few tips before I talk about what we ordered: Be prepared to wait! Since it just opened and it’s one of the best restaurants in this area, everyone comes here. It’s PACKED. We were luckily enough to arrive around 6 pm on a weekday and they had 2 tables left for 2 people - both outside along Colonial. It wasn’t a big deal to us, and we took a table, and it honestly was better than inside because you could hear even from outside just how loud the inside was. They had a 2+ hour wait for a table inside!! This place is super lively when a table alongside Colonial is quieter than the restaurant itself, that’s for sure! The service was awesome. Despite being a new restaurant, no order was incorrect, waiters/waitresses were extremely upbeat and kind (even giving their suggestions), and food came out fast!! It is expensive, but the food is REALLY good, and I think it’s worth the price. Here’s what we ordered: Gyoza, KFC (Korean Fried Chicken), Japanese Poutine, Hot Chicken Sliders, Korean Vodka Pasta, Sticky Asian Ribs, Salmon Hand Roll, and a drink. I don’t remember the drink name but all the drinks on the menu looked incredible, and if the rest of them were as good as mine (might’ve been in the Soft Landings section?) you need to try!! Our absolute favorite things were the Korean Vodka Pasta, Sticky Asian Ribs, KFC, and Salmon Hand Roll. The pasta wasn’t that spicy, and it had an AMAZING Italian/Korean flavor. Unlike anything I’ve had before. The Sticky Asian Ribs were the best ribs I have ever had - period. My girlfriend doesn’t even like ribs and she loved these! The KFC was some of the best fried chicken we’ve had. Amazing sauce, perfect seasoning, not dry on the inside, and something you’ll just be addicted to (and want to order more). And the Salmon Hand Roll was just exceptional! It’s a perfect bite-sized piece of a fresh salmon sushi roll…but just better! It’s hard to describe but you should definitely get at least one hand roll (pretty small item for 2 people so you can have one at the end as a treat). Everything else was awesome as well. The only thing we wouldn’t order again was probably the gyoza just because it is the most “normal” thing we got. It’s just like regular gyoza (to be fair, better than most) and I feel other menu items are more unique and worth trying beforehand. The poutine was super unique and a completely different take on fries than anything I’ve had before! And finally, the hot chicken sliders were PERFECT - exactly what you want when you’re looking for a good hot chicken sandwich…but mini! Our only gripe was there were no desserts (at least not yet). I can only imagine how good The Moderne’s desserts will be if their food is of any comparison. I have been to many restaurants in the Orlando area, and this is up there as one of my new favorites. We will DEFINITELY be returning!!

I usually only review when a place wows me or really disappoints. This place quickly became me and my wife’s favorite restaurant being that we’re new to the Orlando area. The vibe, the food, the service were all immaculate. I wish I could remember our servers name but she made our experience even that much better, she walked us through the menu and her favorites which helped us along. I usually take pictures of the food but we were pretty hungry and every bite was delicious. There was nothing I didn’t like that we ordered and we ordered a lot of food. This is a great date night spot or a night out with friends. You won’t regret it.

Oh my goodness! This is the best experience I have ever had in the food industry. I came tonight to celebrate my partner and I’s anniversary and our experience at The Moderne truly made it one to remember. First, the location is optimal, because there’s ample street parking and many businesses around it. From the moment we walked in, I was in awe! The decor and overall atmosphere was amazing. Our server was Taylor and he was phenomenal , like absolutely top tier! He explained their specials, gave recommendations, and was very attentive to us throughout our night. For drinks we got the Sake Sangria and Unfit for Waltzing after Supper. Both were sweet and incredibly smooth. They also gave us a shot of something that was great as well. We ordered the Korean fried chicken, duck wonton, red curry udon, sticky Asian ribs, and lamb rack. The food was really out of this world. Everything was seasoned to perfection and mouthwatering. My decorum was really the only thing keeping me from licking the plate clean. One of my favorite things was how collaborative the employees were. It seemed like everyone was helping everyone and that helped get tables cleaned immediately after guests left and ensured those dining wanted for nothing. I truly enjoyed my experience and will 100% recommend to anyone who comes to Orlando. Thank you thank you thank you!!! (Pictures are screenshots from videos)

Great little date or happy hour spot in the Mills50 area. Atmosphere is good with well chosen ambient music. The food is basically all Tapas and the value is low. Otherwise good selection of drinks. The staff can be excellent yet unpleasant depending on the day. We will come back and give it a few more chances. Parking is a nightmare 😫

A
AJ Green

My friends and I made our second stop of the night here for friend’s bday celebration. We came here to get a sampling of the amazing looking drinks and tapas. It was mildly busy with a lot of reserved signs on tables inside, and even with our reservation they could only give us seating outside, which is also nice to feel the lively night vibe of the area. Only real negative of the night was how uncomfortable and awkward the outdoor bar height chairs are, but easy fix. This is definitely one of those restaurants where you try everything on the specialty drink menu and we indeed tried them. Amazing drinks all around! The menu is just so nicely varied and fun, with a drink for everyone’s tastes. The tapas all came out fast and delicious, with the unanimous winner being the Korean Vodka Pasta. All the different variations of Gyoza came in a close second. The only menu item of the night I would skip next time was the A5 Wagyu, since the little grill doesn’t not heat up enough for a proper quick sear on the meat or veggies. Our waiter and waitress were so engaging and fun. We truly enjoyed laughing with them all night. Definitely will be back again soon!

Drove in from South Carolina! This place is AMAZING!!! Food is priced well and the quality of it is finger licking good! Great music and ambiance! Kyle B was our bartender and took care of us perfectly! From suggestions to food and making us drinks that were inspired from what we ask! The teamwork behind the bar was great and made everything flow to help everyone enjoy their night!

Excellent experience at this spot! I will disclose that we came here two years ago when they first opened and had a different experience as it relates to both food & service - likely because they were not only new, but had lines out the door. Taylor was an excellent server, helpful with both drink recommendations as well as food. He was also very friendly and personable which makes for a good time. Apparently usually behind the bar so be sure to find him there if you come in! We ordered the Salmon press roll which is a new item - our favorite dish by far. The Tuna Tobachi was super fresh and bright. We also ordered the Lamb dish as recommended by Taylor and my husband really enjoyed. The broccolini was exceptional and the mushroom bibimbap was so flavorful, crunchy and also a great serving size. Night & day from our first time here and SO GLAD we gave it a redemption shot. Will be back!!! ✨

Sheesh. You only live once. Spend as much of your life as you can in this bar. My wife and I travel for craft cocktails and unique bites. THIS place kills it. We tried several drinks/shots/tapas and everything is 10/10. Start with the pork belly & milkman for starters and you're welcome. Kyle is the man, easily the best bartender service we've experienced. He made us feel like his regulars even though we regrettably live almost 800mi away. We're actively planning a trip back based around this bar.

I’m always in that area. I wanted to check this place out. We today being Monday at 8pm. There atmosphere is very nice perfect and really refreshing and relaxing. The service was top notch. The food was so high quality it was fantastic. We have the wings, so crispy and tender.

I just wanted to thank our server Anthony for his patience with my food allergies. Making me feel included in eating the KFC (Korean Fried Chicken). Telling the chef to put the wings in another fryer. That was honestly my first time ever eating those wings & the duck wontons. Really good btw.

My friends and I had dinner here over the weekend and we really enjoyed it. This restaurant is perfect for a night out as it is so beautiful inside. Our waiter Anthony was very attentive and provided us with wonderful drink and food recommendations. For appetizers and entrees, we ordered multiple different items off the menu. Our favorite entrees included the hamachi crudo ceviche, the crab & lobster dumplings and the wagyu appetizer. The lamb was good but was very saucy. The drinks were great and very well crafted. The only issue we ran into was that our pork buns came out cold but Anthony immediately took care of it. Overall, we had an amazing dinner and would definitely recommend this restaurant. Shout out to Anthony for being wonderful as well.

I went here with my friend last night to check out the vibes because all of the reviews were so great! We were not disappointed in the least! The line was really long but it still didn't take long for us to get in and get a seat at the bar! We ordered some drinks which were very delicious and then had the KFC and dumplings for appetizers. Both were SO GOOD!! For our main courses I got the spicy rigatoni which was incredible and she got the miso cream pasta. The only negative of the whole night was that my friend's pasta came out dry but they quickly brought her out some extra sauce and so that was taken care of. I will definitely go back here and will recommend as a cool date spot or hang out with some friends! The building is rather small but it is so worth the wait and such a vibe!! I'd also like to note that there was a man with red hair that was walking around making sure Everything and everyone were ok… and I have the biggest crush on him! He is the one that found our seats at the bar and he was so handsome! I would almost go back just to see him again😍

Such a cute bar in the Colonial area. Very modern and fun but chill vibe. The Korean Vodka Pasta was so good. It had a delicious spicy kick and very filling. I recommend this spot if you’re looking for a chill bar/restaurant. Also, the bartenders were super attentive and really nice!

Beautiful brand new classy bar right in the heart of Orlando. It has beautiful decor, a great ambiance, and very attentive staff. They have some amazing cocktails and really creative Tapas selection. They are brand new, so they are going through some growing pains. Be patient with them, and I promise you won't be disappointed. I hope they succeed in refining their service goals. I highly recommend giving them a shot!

Highly recommend! Danny is absolutely amazing and so is Ken ! They were beyond kind and so accommodating. Danny and Matt make me the best drinks, so creative and Ken was so attentive. Tried the udon noodles over the vodka pasta and it did not disappoint. Had to update my review to rave even further. The food NEVER disappoints and neither do the drinks. Udon noddles are an absolute must, I’m obsessed! But I mainly came to update my review because the owner is like no other. Every-time I come in I see him helping in every way. From running drinks and cleaning tables. Just goes to show the type of establishment it is. Highly recommend.

This place is absolutely killer. All of the food and drinks were full of flavor and presented in really creative ways. The Korean Fried Chicken had a perfect crunch and spice in each bite. The Baby Guinness shots were the sleeper hit. Will definitely be back!

Food, drinks, service, & atmosphere were all great! The vegan options were delicious. There will be a bit of a wait for a table, but it’s worth it! Anthony, Armando, & Julie were excellent & made my first visit much more memorable. Will definitely be visiting again.

This is a great new spot in Orlando located in the Little Vietnam neighborhood in the Mills 50 district. The interior is modern with an art deco vibe. The plates are tapas style and there’s a good variety of options. They’ve got a full bar & nice cocktail menu. If you don’t want to wait for a table grab a seat at the bar. There’s a small patio area that fronts Colonial Dr.

The Mills district really needed a place like this with the modernize style vibe bar lounge to bring up the energy of the area. I came here to celebrate my birthday with 14 friends during their soft opening month. They don’t take reservation so make sure you go there early. Even though we had to wait a while for a table, we ended ordering some through the bar and a service. They were amazing staff. I had a great time and my friends had an awesome time as well. Food / drinks: first all of all, I want to say this place has priced their food and drinks correctly for their amazing quality. They don’t super overcharge like other places that I know. I ended up getting espresso martini, nectar pear shots, ribs, Korean fried chicken, chicken sliders, tuna hand roll, beef skewer, and the jumbo prawns. Everything was delicious, decent portion, and well presented. Best dish was the ribs and Korean fried chicken! 4.8/5 Service: great service. It was a bit long of a wait but worth it. We even met the awesome manager James and our amazing waitress Ursela. She was super awesome and patience with us. She came very often to see how we were doing and their supporting staff cleared our table rapidly. 5/5 Atmosphere: this place has an amazing energy and great modern decorations. They would do so well if they had a causal lounge dj or live saxophone. Although, they could use more high tops to sit down more guests. But overall this place is clean, great vibe, and amazing relaxing feel. 4.8/5 Overall, we had a great experience. We hope they keep the fair pricing for their food and drinks. Super excited to go back soon to try their udon and other dishes.

Food has phenomenal flavor profiles. Small portions, but sooooo damn good! The drinks were tasty, strong, and had a great presentation as well. The ambiance was on point, the decor was very eye catching. Recommend making a reservation and also make sure you're aware you can only be there a max of 2 hours.

We had an absolutely fantastic dining experience, and a huge part of that was thanks to our server, Anthony. While the food was undeniably delicious, it was Anthony's exceptional service that truly elevated our evening. From the moment we sat down, he was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, offering thoughtful recommendations and ensuring that every detail of our meal was perfect. He made us feel like valued guests, and his genuine enthusiasm for the restaurant’s offerings really made the experience stand out. Anthony’s attentiveness and personalized touch went above and beyond, turning a great meal into an unforgettable one. We’ll definitely be returning, and we’re already looking forward to another wonderful experience with him! Thank you Anthony 🫶🏻✨

This was a very unique place to go with a group of friends. Chill vibes and low lighting. The food was really good. I recommend the pork belly bao, sticky ribs, friend chicken, and broccolini. There are certain seating areas where you have to go to the bar to get a drink and food is not allowed in that sitting area. If you’re wanting food let them know so they can point you to the right areas.

I'm from out of town & I like to come to Orlando to experience things I don't have back home. This has quickly become one of my favorite places to grab a drink & eat. I visited for the first time for my birthday last year and the place is so beautiful. I saw the pictures, but it's even better in person! Staff was amazing as well and the food and drink is EXCELLENT. I always try to come to Moderne every time I'm in town you just have to try them!

Had a great time at The Moderne. I was extremely impressed with the creativity and presentation of the food and drink. Eldon was an incredible server and was patient with all of my party’s shenanigans, as was the bar! Thank you so much, again

The food and service is AMAZING! Daniel our server was awesome. The vegan boa is the BEST we’ve ever had - even my avid meat-loving boyfriend said so!!! The inside is gorgeous but we sat outside with our pup. I love that they do a ton for the community…so many charity events and even recommending nearby restaurants for dessert, etc. The prices are also super reasonable for a very nice date night! 10/10 would recommend!!!

Pleasantly surprised by the flavor, different options, and overall presentation of these dishes. It is PERFECT to go with a friend to split plates, tapas style or by yourself. You cannot go wrong with any dish you pick. I loved that they have a happy hour as well. Their kitchen is quick and service is excellent! Brantley did amazing and was so friendly and attentive! The ambiance was great for a date night, treat yourself, or a place to catch up with an old friend. It has an elevated moody feel to it. Highly recommend you order - Penicillin cocktail - Eggplant | Soft but has a crunchy panko coating with the cheese at the bottom makes this a great combo - Sticky Ribs | Tender, falls off the bone - Miso Cream Noodles | It’s a creamy miso infused sauce that is so tasty with the pork and mushroom. Like a miso carbonara. - She’s Spicy Baos | I love meat but this oyster mushroom could convert me. Little spice but lot of flavor and textures - Duck Wontons | Full of meat and it’s fried. You can’t go wrong - Beef Skewer | Very tender and not heavy on the teriyaki which is perfect

Great atmosphere. We sat at the bar and our bartender was super friendly and attentive. Drinks were very good. We ordered Crab Rangoon Japanese Milk Bread, Shrimp and Crab Gyoza, and the Beef Bulgogi. All were DELICIOUS.

We had a fantastic business dinner this past week. Our server was super knowledgeable of the menu and provided excellent recommendations. The food was just incredible! Everything was meticulously crafted and prepared with the utmost care. Not only was the presentation of the food phenomenal, but it was all packed full of flavor as well. It is a bit on the pricier side, but it is totally worth it for the experience. The whole restaurant is a super chic and a cute modern vibe. I will definitely be bringing more business dinners to this restaurant!

My partner and I have become regulars at The Moderne in Orlando, and there’s a reason we keep coming back. Every visit feels just as exceptional as the first. The atmosphere is modern, welcoming, and beautifully curated. It’s the kind of place that instantly shifts your energy the moment you walk in. The staff consistently goes above and beyond. They’re warm, attentive, and genuinely caring, always making us feel seen and valued. There’s never a rushed moment or an awkward beat; everything flows effortlessly, and the service is always on point. What I love most is the consistency. Whether it’s a quick visit or a longer stay, The Moderne maintains the same high level of quality every time. Clean, stylish, peaceful, and handled with intention. It’s truly become one of our favorite places to unwind and reconnect. Five stars without hesitation. If you’re looking for a space that feels elevated, relaxing, and beautifully run, The Moderne is absolutely it.

Honestly, I've been to The Moderne before, but never to dine, this time I had this Korean spicy pasta, guys, it was yummy! It had a chorizo sauce that was really nice, my friend only had calamari because she wasn't hungry, and said it was delicious. Drink wise, they're always changing them but I got this tall glass (can't remember the name) which was smokey, was not my favorite at all. The drink tasted nice, but I couldn't get past the smokiness and the server, bless his heart, sent it back and got me this minty one, it was delicious! That one I did love haha. The server was amazing, just super friendly and understanding, he honestly felt like a friend, if only I could remember his name! I think it was Justin, but don't come at me if I got it wrong please lol. Overall, my friend loved the vibe, we were gossiping so you know the gossip was juicy and she said it was a cute spot which I 100% agree. It's a good place for nice drinks and now for food too! Will definitely be coming back to dine in❤️

Favorite tapas style restaurant in Orlando! Everything was amazing. Highly recommend the Rangoon dip, fried rice, and shrimp & crab dumplings. They have a bracket style drink menu where the bartenders compete to make new drinks every month, and the winning drinks stay on the menu. Super unique drinks and they are a really good size. This place has the most competitive prices in the area for the quality of food/drink/service you're getting. Would absolutely come back here without hesitation. Kyle was a great server too! Awesome hostesses as well!

Had a great time at the moderne. Our waiter, Anthony, was absolutely fantastic and made the difference between a great night and a fantastic night. Didn't take any pics of drinks or food because we were so in the moment. Everything we tried was great (note, the KFC wings are spicy, which i loved, but we didn't realize they would be). I will definitely be back.

The vibes of this place were immaculate! Everyone was so kind especially Julie, Anthony, and Armando. Their service was incredible. They made our night so fun and memorable. Not to mention, the food and drinks were top quality. It was my first time but definitely NOT my last. Can’t wait to return! Please check this place out.

What a great place with great staff! Anthony made our evening with his choises of food (we asked him to pick 4 and chose 3 ourselfs) and with his personality. The food was AMAZING! We had a great celebration of our 5 year relationship anniversary. We'll definitely be back! Jarno & Sterre The Netherlands

We have been a few times, everything is a great experience from the food and drinks to the service. The drinks are unique and fun, food is an Asian fusion and is phenomenal, the miso creamy pasta is our favorite. The bibimbap and crab Rangoon dip is yummy also. Highly recommend, just be sure to make a reservation they get booked up very quickly.

This new restaurant is such a vibe with its chic decor and great service. We enjoyed a few cocktails, with the “Unfit for Waltzing After Supper” being my favorite. The “Croquettes” are a must-have and truly the star of the show! Can’t wait to come back and try the rest of the menu!

We had an early dinner and ordered a selection of small plates. The ambience was fantastic, and the service was exceptional. The food was delicious, but the only downside was that my friend’s dish arrived significantly earlier than mine, which made the timing a bit awkward.

Loved my experience! I came for an early birthday celebration with a friend from Miami. Happy that I was able to reserve seats online the day before. We were quickly seated. The food came out right away as well as the drinks. The food was delicious! It was decorated beautifully. I would definitely visit again. Get ready to look for parking because it can be difficult but it’s because of all the amazing new spots in the area.

Cool place to hangout with friends or significant other. Definitely make a reservation or you might not get a table on Fridays and Saturdays. We order five small plates and it was enough for 2. The food was delicious, the cocktails were creative and different. The only thing I didn't like was the suggested tip percentages. It used to be 15, 18, 20. I understand the 18, 20, 22, but 20, 22 and 25 is just too much.

This restaurant is simply phenomenal!! I went with my family for a special event and was served with tasty, delicious food as well as top tier hospitality. Drinks were unique and definitely worth it…Eldon was our server and he simply made the night even more special. He was very educated on the menu and provided us with great recommendations. The ambience was also amazing and great for pictures. It’s just what we were looking for! Definitely will be coming back.

Loved this place. Beautiful interior. Really good Asian inspired tapas. Really enjoyed the Chilean Sea Bass which melted in your mouth and the Lamb Rack which tasted so good with their Asian style marinate. The Ribs were also very good. The Korean Vodka Pasta was really enjoyable. The cheese was lighter and it was definitely a different twist on pasta. We sat by the bar. Drinks were made fast and were well made. Get a cocktail with a bubble on top for the experience!

I have been going to the Moderne for years now, and hands down this is the place to go to for contemporary, modernized drinks. Their lead bartender Kyle has been killing the cocktail game and he is ALWAYS coming up with these creative, pop cultural twists on cocktails! I tried the Baja Blast Cocktail last time and it was such a fantastic riff on Mountain Dew’s Baja Blast! Give that man a raise, he is crushing it.

We went yesterday for Mother's Day and it was really cool! We loved the aesthetic and the service was very kind. They also served us alcoholic drinks based on what we were feeling. Their menu changes monthly and this month they paired with local shops around the area. Because we went in the late night, there wasn't too many people and we didn't have to wait too long. In terms of parking, it depends on the time. Since it's downtown, you're going to have to park on the side streets. We were fortunate that there was barely any people so parking was easy.

I think I have a new favorite restaurant! The experience was simply phenomenal, the environment and atmosphere was elegant and welcoming and the service was impeccable. Every appetizer, entree and dessert was finger-licking delicious! Daniel and Paula the chefs that came by to say hi are outstanding. Price point was very reasonable considering all the factors. Definitely will be coming back very soon and I would recommend it to anyone specially if you have a special occasion coming soon!

Great place for a laid back but still nice dinner. Loud but enjoyable environment. Music wasn’t too loud but enjoyable. Drinks were priced around 14 dollars a piece but well worth the money in the strength alone. Really creative ideas with a rotating monthly menu as well as staple drinks. The small bites for food was perfect to share and try and a little bit of everything. Especially liked the pork belly bao. Service was great. Never let my water cup empty but also didn’t feel like I was constantly being checked in on. Special thanks to Kehle who took wonderful care of us and helped us decide on a couple drinks and food items. Overall great atmosphere with very picturesque decor. Would definitely come back for another date night or just to hang with some freinds!

Everything we had was spectacular- tuna roll, wagyu bimbipap, and beef bulgogi. Everything was FIREEE! And the cocktails, so so good wow! We had Baja blast, woman in white, lotus eater, and Mother’s mercy. I felt like everything we ordered we did not go wrong! You can taste the love in the food. We saw the food on other people’s tables and everything just looked so beautiful and delicious. And our waiter Ian was INCREDIBLE! He allowed it to be an experience, was gracious in giving us time to order and enjoy our food, and he was just such a pleasure for his joyous and kind service. This place was a total experience! I was here visiting with my mom, from south Florida and the food and drinks looked and tasted like something we could get at a super expensive restaurant in south beach without having to pay the crazy price tag! I can’t say enough about our experience here. So grateful we came in!

My husband and I liked the drinks and the rice, my favorite, I like the wings, they are spectacular but a little spicy for my taste, everything is very tasty and the service is excellent A mi esposo y a mi nos gustaron las bebidas y el arroz, mi favorito, me gustan las alitas, son espectaculares pero un poco picosas para mi gusto, todo muy rico y el servicio excelente

Yesterday, I visited The Modern Bar for the first time. This bar, located in the East Colonial area of Orlando, not only offers a great bar atmosphere but also serves excellent food. It’s a good spot to enjoy some well-crafted drinks while also eating delicious food. The cuisine is apparently Asian-inspired. We tried several drinks and enjoyed them very much. For food, we ordered the fish buns, veggie buns, pork belly buns, fried rice, shrimp and crab gyozas, and yuca croquettes. Overall, the food was quite good. For bar food, I would rate it a 7.5 out of 10, and I would also give the drinks a 7.5 out of 10. One thing I would improve is the lighting. I felt it was a little too bright for a bar, and slightly dimmer lights would create a better bar vibe. That said, we had a great time overall, and I would definitely go back to enjoy another night of dancing like the one I had yesterday. The service was also very good.

I’ve been twice and the first time the service wasn’t great at the bar but they were/are in soft open! I will say bartenders are still not that friendly but maybe bc they’re just busy and can’t deliver a smile/friendly face. The only con outside of that was we were accidentally charged for a mocktail and didn’t realize until after we left. My niece ordered it bc she’s pregnant but didn’t like it/ they were going to bring her something else but it never came. Aside from that Kyle was our server and he was amazing! We saw him killing it all night, the staff bringing our food/taking away our dishes didn’t skip a beat and were also on it! Food was good - Vodka penne not a great as I hoped but everything else we tried (which was a lot) was great. Would def try again!

L

Other than the sticky ribs, everything was delicious! Tried the new braised pork belly and the only thing I'd say is it needs to come with rice. The tuna truffle and seabass skewer were my absolute favorites. The sticky ribs kinda ruined the almost perfect experience for me.. the flavor was just too salty and not good. Think char siu seasoning pack times by 2. The soft shell crab was alright, not bad but not outstanding.

M

Beautifully decorated space. Love the mid century vibes. Seating along the wall felt a little low compared to the table. Service was great, we had Chris. He was quick to share recommendations and was very friendly. Drinks were well made. Try the Milk Man and Sake Sangria. Tapas style for the food. I really enjoyed the Edamame Hummus, Vegetable Gyoza, Japanese Poutine and the Tuna Truffle. My least favorite was the Korean Fried Chicken. Parking can be challenging depending on your reservation. There’s a lot behind the restaurant and street parking, be patient, there’s usually someone leaving.

S
Stormi Cole

We came for dinner and had the Korean vodka pasta, which was nice and spicy, the Korean chicken wings and the beef bulgogi. Everything was amazing but I think the vodka pasta was my favorite! For cocktails, I had the hell’s half acre, which was Smokey and perfection, if you like whiskey 🤌🏻 There is a parking lot for convenient parking, so you don’t have to scramble to find street parking. Overall, the food and aesthetic is great. Very much looking forward to trying new things next time. Definitely worth checking out!

N
Nicole Warfield

This place is amazing. The only reason I gave them 4 stars was because the parking is sooo bad. The food was amazing. You ordered and within 5 minutes that food was out in front of you. We had the Korean vodka pasta, the Korean fried chicken,Asian sticky ribs, soft shell crab and the salmon hand roll. Everything was unique, flavorful and well presented. It was well worth the wait to come here and I will totally be back to try some of the other fare.

Recently dined at The Moderne. The charming restaurant offered not only a atmosphere and top-notch but also a delicious of food options. Cozy ambience and our server was extremely attentive, so overall our experience was nothing short of delightful. However, I think the veggie gyoza could use some improvements in terms of texture and flavor. It felt a little mushy.

A
Alexandra Miranda

The food was delicious and so was the dragon drink, definitely a must when you come here. But one thing they are not good at is their desserts, we tried the Yuzu Bliss and it tasted like laundry detergent. I’m a person who loves any sweet and even I couldn’t get past the terrible taste of chemicals. Definitely will come back for the food and drinks but desserts are a no go at this establishment. I will say the creamy miso noodles were delicious, the fried rice was the best rice I’ve had, the ribs were falling off the bone. A 10/10 experience when it comes to their mains & drinks.

N
Nancy

Drinks are better than food here, but I'd come back for more drinks. Out of all the dishes we tried, the best was the kushiyaki. The popular gochujang vodka pasta was good but didn't have enough chorizo. Service was friendly, prices were a bit high, but food came out fast. I also really like that they're open late.

A
Alejandro Perez

The decor is incredibly beautiful and aesthetically pleasing. The place is cute for a little date night, but not great for parties. We were a party of 6, squeezed into a small 4-top by the bathrooms. Host was very nice about adding a chair. Our server was nice, but pretty absent. Food selection was pretty great, but the food was NOT worth the price. The rangoon dip tasted like cream cheese and CFA Polynesian sauce. Everything else ordered was “meh”. This place is also LOUD and it was so hot. Everyone in my party was sweating. It was a birthday dinner and put it in the reservation and nothing was done about it or even mentioned. Also, parking is a nightmare! Took me 30 minutes to find a spot around 6pm. Overall, similar places in the area run circles around The Moderne. I will definitely not be returning.

Was not impressed by the staff. We started my night out at Tori Tori with family who came into town and wanted a bite and a cocktail. We wanted to create a mini cocktail crawl. So we went to Tori Tori first. We were welcomed with great service from the door to the Bar to the table. Cocktails and food were great. We continued our crawl and went to the Moderne. We got the cold shoulder at the door. We were told to go sit in the lounge because there was no room at the bar for 4 people so we sat in the front lounge area. We ask the bartender should we order drinks at the bar and we got attitude from him and we tried floor staff and basically same thing. So we left. We went to DBA bar in walking distance from the Moderne and had a fantastic service plus amazing food and drinks. With amazing places all around now I know where to go!

Hey guys I came here with some friends and the vibes were a lil off I mean the food was really good we had fun and all of that, it was a busy evening too but the waiter I think his name was Bradly or something like that he was kind of rude he didn’t really have much knowledge on what drinks the bartenders could make for us, and he seemed stressed out like if you’re not accommodating or being friendly to your customers then I’m not sure why you’re there tbh people want good service and good food. On the way out there was a guy at the front he didn’t greet or anything and tbh his vibes were a lil spooky! October was 3 months ago my guy. Be prepared to get thrown off by the vibes but they killin it in the back kitchen thoooo, maybe replace the waiters with some of those new wall e lookin bots they have at other places or something.

W
Willy Roble

fancy place with good atmosphere. the tables for 2 people are very closer you hear all the conversation of the table next to you. that entry low points. the food in general is not good. the vodka pasta lousy. the cocktail menu is a must and is the value of the place. Service good

M
Michael Dobish

When we were seated, we asked for the table next to the one they offered, as it was our preference and still a 2 top, and they accommodated. Several minutes later, the hostess who seated us mandated that we move back to the original table offered to us. We reluctantly agreed, but I asked for a manager. When the manager arrived, he contrived a ridiculous reason as to why we HAD to sit at the 2 top originally offered to us. Then he offered back the 2 top we wanted. At that point, we simply left. The antics of this restaurant staff and management ruined the vibe for our evening. There's no way I would ever walk into this place again. Their food may have a Michelin rating, but their customer service is absolutely atrocious. Whomever the manager was on duty that evening should be relieved of his employment.
