As a big soup lover, I ordered the pho with beef marrow and really enjoyed it. The flavor was rich and comforting, and the portion size was very generous. I’ll definitely be coming back for this soup again.

AMAZING!!! Went last night and got the tofu mango salad and the tofu and bok choy. The flavors were so good. My husband got the steak skewers and the grilled chicken and raved about both. We go to the Colonialtown area for Asian food just about every weekend. This place was in our top 5! The service was fantastic, owner came over and checked on us many times. Will definitely be back.

Had several dishes to share: crispy quails, squid, claims in lemongrass, the soft shell crab, tuna dip, and the chicken noodles. Everything was prepared well and tasted delicious.

We came in on their soft re-opening night, and the food, drinks, and service were excellent. We ordered the Z-Licious Clams, Crispy Tofu Mango Salad, and Vegan Curry. We also had some of Colin's incredible cocktails. They have a great vegan menu section in addition to more traditional seafood and meat selections. Definitely need to check them out!

Z Asian is a culinary gem that rightfully earned its Michelin Bib Gourmand, offering exceptional cuisine at moderate prices. This restaurant masterfully blends traditional Asian flavors with modern techniques, resulting in dishes that are both familiar and excitingly innovative. The moment you step in, you're greeted by an ambiance that balances elegance with comfort, setting the stage for an unforgettable dining experience. The attentive and knowledgeable staff adds to the welcoming atmosphere, always ready to guide you through the menu or offer pairing suggestions. While everything on the menu is noteworthy, there are a few standout dishes that shouldn't be missed. The lamb chops are simply divine - perfectly grilled to your liking, they're tender, juicy, and bursting with flavor. The marinade, a secret blend of spices, elevates the natural taste of the lamb to new heights. For soup lovers, the spicy beef lemongrass soup is a must-try. It's a harmonious blend of aromatic lemongrass, tender beef, and a spicy broth that warms you from the inside out. The complexity of flavors in this soup is a testament to the chef's skill and attention to detail. To start your meal, I highly recommend the summer rolls. Fresh, light, and bursting with vibrant flavors, they're the perfect appetizer. The translucent rice paper wraps a delightful mix of fresh vegetables and herbs, often with a protein like shrimp or chicken, accompanied by a peanut dipping sauce that's absolutely addictive. What sets Z Asian apart is their commitment to using fresh, high-quality ingredients. This shines through in every dish, from the crispness of the vegetables to the tenderness of the meats. The presentation is equally impressive, with each plate arriving like a work of art. The restaurant also boasts an impressive drink menu, featuring both classic cocktails and innovative concoctions that complement the food perfectly. Their wine list is well-curated, offering excellent pairings for every dish. Z Asian's Michelin Bib Gourmand status is well-deserved. It offers a dining experience that rivals much pricier establishments, proving that exceptional food doesn't have to break the bank. Whether you're a seasoned foodie or just looking for a great meal, Z Asian is sure to impress. Don't miss the chance to experience this culinary treasure - your taste buds will thank you!

This is simply pho’s heaven. Me and my girlfriend has been to over 10 other restaurants and we always try to find #1 and today on my 30th birthday we found the most joyful pho experience ever, plus the drinks were outstanding also, tamarind margarita became my gf favorite drink what else can I say? Thank you Z Asian for the unforgettable night. We’ll definitely be back again.

This is a family owned, upscale, Vietnamese restaurant. Food 5/5: This was an unforgettable dining experience! From the moment I took your first bite of the grilled squid, it's clear this place is all about getting the details right. The squid, cooked to perfection with just the right amount of char, paired with that irresistible sauce the owner makes (which you could probably drink by the gallon), sounds like a standout dish. The shrimp rolls were another win, with the green onion adding a fresh kick and the shrimp itself seasoned and fried to crispy perfection. Even more surprising was the lamb chop--despite my usual aversion to lamb, these were so tender and flavorful that they changed your mind, with no trace of gaminess. It's a great example of how skilled they are at working with flavors. Then there were the mini shrimp crêpes-- I was very impressed by the way it was cooked. perfectly crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and paired with a dipping sauce that balanced sweetness and spice just right. The freshness of the herbs added another layer of vibrancy to the dish, showing just how much care goes into each plate. The tuna on shrimp crackers was an inventive twist on tuna poke nachos, and they were right about the shrimp chips--crispier and more flavorful than wonton chips, they didn't soak up oil and elevated the dish even further. It's clear the owner is not only a talented cook but also an innovator. The star of the show, though, seems to be the bougie pho. With 24-hour-brewed broth that had layers of depth and richness, the addition of filet mignon, tender brisket, and the option to scrape in bone marrow? That's a pho like no other. The fact that you didn't even feel the need to add hoisin or Sriracha speaks volumes about how flavorful it was on its own. It's the kind of dish you can't stop thinking about after the meal. And then, fried ice cream to finish--crispy, sweet, and perfectly creamy. It sounds like the batter was something special, adding a delicate crunch that complemented the ice cream beautifully without being greasy. The Forager cocktail was another standout, with its complex, forest-like flavors that paired wonderfully with all the food. If there's one place that's earned my highest recommendation, it's this one. This place is it a must-visit for anyone who loves delicious, thoughtfully prepared food. Service 5/5: The service was as excellent as the food, with the owners personally crafting many of the ingredients and making every guest feel welcomed!

Boy do I have a review for you! Based on a local's tip, I looked up Orlando's Magical Dining event (restaurants promoting multi-course specials during the off-season, ~mid Aug-Oct every year), and stumbled upon this Bib Gourmand awardee recognized by the Michelin Guide. I was lucky enough to be able to treat my family to the entire magical dining menu, which turned out to be a really special experience and fantastic value. We reserved a spot through OpenTable but didn't need it on a Tuesday night, it was pretty empty when we stepped in at 6. There's plenty of parking around. The inside is beautiful and spacious. Staff is attentive and happy to answer any questions you have about the menu. We didn't talk to the founder/head chef much but she was around making sure we were taken care of. Food came fast and was fantastic as you'd expect. The best items on the menu were probably the appetizers. The crispy quails were the perfect balance of well-cooked meat with crispy skin and incredible flavor. Lemongrass hot pot had a strong but refreshing soup base you could scoop with every bite of clam, which was fun! Scallops were good but blander, the cheese was very muted and the texture was that of a souffle. Mussels were garnished with some crunchy, tangy toppings that made a tasty contrast to the meat. We loved the beef stew main course. Simple, quintessential stew with tender meat and perfectly cooked carrots. Hearty & satisfying. Didn't understand the bird nest, just tasted kind of salty and seafood-y with floury noodles that got soggy fast. The pho was sadly underwhelming and a waste of filet mignon, even piled on top of the soup it quickly overcooked. The noodles/soup were nothing you couldn't get at any regular Vietnamese place. For dessert, we enjoyed the matcha cheesecake and mango mousse cake. Chocolate mousse cake was dense and rich but pretty similar to a regular chocolate cake, the other two seemed more unique. Overall there are some menu items I'd recommend for the price (like the quail) and some I wouldn't (like the pho). But in general, would recommend Z Asian for its tasty and creative dishes. Enjoy!

Can I just say WOW!! They did a huge remodel & revamp of the menu. I am beyond impressed. The drinks are phenomenal, every single one was full of flavor & so easily crushable/delicious. “Pocketful of dreams”, “banana boy” (banana ice cream milkshake w liquor) and “the forager” were our absolute favorites!! (All the cocktails are dairy free which made me so happy) Every dish was amazing; favorites were the tofu mango salad, lamb chops(the green sauce should be bottled!), garlic bok choy and the ribeye skewer.

The food here is incredible!! The mango mousse cake was the most delicious thing I’ve ever had. Silky smooth with a sponge base. The beef stew had the most incredible depth of flavor. The pho was insanely flavorful as well. The crispy quails had incredible depths of flavor and perfect crispy skin. The scallop was mind blowing.

the food was absolutely amazing — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Every dish exceeded our expectations, and we’ll definitely be coming back for the food alone. The only downside was that our server left cleaning supplies on our table for about 10 minutes, which felt a little off-putting during the meal. It didn’t ruin the experience, but it did take away from the otherwise great atmosphere. Overall, the food is outstanding and worth the visit, but I hope the service side pays a bit more attention to details like this in the future.

I called ahead and picked up dinner to go on a Friday night. The food was amazing, very flavorful and fresh ingredients. I loved the outdoor seating area with lighting, I wished I could stay to eat instead! Love the interior too and employees. Below is vegan spring rolls with peanut sauce and vegan vermicelli with extra veggies instead of tofu.

Good stuff, Maynard. Easy to find for an out-of-towner. Parking was easy, as well. Friendly staff, easy to decipher menu. Everybody was wearing masks. Tables cleaned after every guest. Food came quick, well presented & delicious. Vegetarian options, as well. There is a stage at the front so they apparently have music/poetry/comedy shows on occasion. Music was being played over speakers, nice low volume, just background. A female lounge singer doing covers of U2 and other, not expected 80s & 90s rock tunes. Interesting.

Bless Z Asian for being a great host to our birthday bash! 🙏 I actually really liked the food here. The dragon mojito was excellent! I also got a very delicious bowl of Hu Tieu. Each topping was just excellent and it was such a needed dish since I was horribly sick. They got all of our foods out together and on time. Everyone really seemed to enjoy their food. The owner, think, even helped take our photos. The family were gracious host! I'll definitely be coming back when I can to try out more dishes.

I had the the Summer Rolls, "B1 Special Bowl," and Artichoke Tea. Everything was delicious! The artichoke tea was something I've never tried but came recommended... and rightfully so! Everything is made in-house and it shows in the flavor and freshness. Def recommend checking it out. I'm coming back to try the Pho soon! The owners are super nice, too. 😄

The food was amazing! Service was great, clean, and fast. I had the Pan Fried Rice Flour appetizer (picture), the Porkchop Rice Plate, and the Vietnamese Fish Sauce Z Asian Wings (picture) and all 3 were delicious. I could taste they were all made there fresh from scratch.

This place is still under soft opening, but it already made a great debut as the newest authentic Vietnamese in a contemporary ambiance. I tried the Duck Soup with Egg Noodles, and my guest had the Vietnamese Spicy Beef Noodle Soup. They were both very good. Selective menu with Vietnamese, Thai and Chinese.

I came for Magical Dining and this was my first experience, and I was blown away. The food was amazing - I had the quail, filet pho and mango mousee cake. I could tell that everything was made fresh and with love. The music provided a nice vibe with recognizable songs, via cover bands. The staff was so welcoming and friendly, I definitely have to come back!!

Extremely fresh food, had the summer roll with chicken pho and iced Vietnamese coffee. Noodles were thick and made fresh in house and really made the pho dish which had a good amount of chicken in it too. Staff were very attentive to the customers and place had a cool vibe. I went for lunch and I’d certainly go back for dinner to checkout their impressive cocktail list and entree dishes, the duck has my name on it for sure.

We had an incredible experience at this Orlando restaurant! It marked our first venture into both Michelin dining and Vietnamese cuisine. The dishes, particularly the "Hủ Tiếu" and "Bún Bò Huế" soups, left us enamored. Mo, our server, exhibited exceptional hospitality despite our late arrival. He not only answered all our inquiries but also provided delightful recommendations. Without a doubt, we highly recommend this restaurant to everyone!

J
Jenzi Lee

We had been looking for a good place for Bun Bo Hue in Orlando, but either the heat of the soup usually overpowers the flavor of the spices and broth, or the broth tasted watery. We came here on a weekend, and just had to come back the following weekend because it is not often we find a well-balanced broth. Bot Chien, pork chop, and pho were also good. I'm glad we were able to find a place with a balanced menu with more than one good dish. We will be back for more! Newbie Note: Be sure to mix the bowl of soup as the spices often float to the bottom of the spicy beef soup.

A
Alicia

When you walk in it smells buttery and savory all the same time. The food is so good. I really loved the corn, I got the special pho, it was insanely tasty. Everything was so good!

R
Ryan Brennan

Pretty darn good squid, duck noodles had great flavor, probably slightly better than the duck ramen from Morimoto. Duck was very tender, obviously used in the broth. Skin was of course soft, with a lot of collagen. Noodles were thin and firm, I might ask for rice noodles next time, just to see if it's preferable. No military discount

Absolutely delicious. I feel like I’m getting a home cooked meal. Ingredients are so fresh. I cannot wait to come back and try more. They also have a full bar and boba tea. The restaurant is also decorated beautifully and spacious.

This place was superb! When you walk in there is a warm welcome from staff. The place is clean and decorated beautifully. I ordered the lechee martini which came with two pieces of rolled leeches on the side. DELICIOUS!! the pork egg rolls had an authentic cut of pork which was accompanied by a flavorful fish sauce and they offered us a peanut sauce as well with sweet delicious roasted peanuts on top. The z wings were sweet and crunchy. like Omg!! I had the seafood soup as an entree. The squid was delicately handled and had a good flavor. The shrimps soaked up the sweet and spicy tase of the soup. The noodles were perfectly cooked. U gotta come here!!

Such amazing and delicious food, if you haven't gone you haven't had good food. The customer service is amazing and while you leave feeling completely full you can't help but feel you could squeeze one more bite in..there's so many great items to choose from the menu. Its a must go!!! You won't regret it.

A Truly Magical (and "Bougie") Dining Experience My wife and I had an exceptional dinner at Z Asian on Colonial Drive this past Sunday. We had a 5 PM reservation for right when they opened, and while the restaurant was still quiet and peaceful, the service was warm and attentive from the moment we walked in. My wife opted for the Magical Dining menu, and it was fantastic value. She loved having a curated experience with a delicious appetizer, main course, and dessert all perfectly portioned. I came in feeling completely drained from the heat and needed something to rehydrate and rejuvenate. The "Bougie Pho" was the absolute perfect remedy. This isn't your average pho—it's a luxurious take on the classic. The filet mignon was incredibly tender and melted in my mouth, while the brisket was wonderfully fatty and rich with flavor. The broth was deeply savory and did exactly what I needed it to. Pro tip: Be sure to ask for their hot oil on the side. It adds a fantastic, customizable kick that takes the dish to the next level. We also couldn't resist trying the bone marrow, and wow—it was dank in the best way possible. So rich, buttery, and decadent. We will definitely be coming back to Z Asian. The food is creative, high-quality, and deeply satisfying. Highly recommend

Upscale Vietnamese cuisine. The service, music and overall ambiance were on point. The dishes are small but very flavorful. I recommend getting multiple small dishes to share. Cost is about $100-140 for 2 ppl including drinks and dessert.

Food, environment and staff were excellent. We came in for magical dining and just decided to get the menu items because everything looked too delicious. We had the chicken skewers and salt and pepper shrimp tails for appetizers with a green jalenpeno sauce that was to die for , the chef makes all sauces in house. For dinner we had grilled shrimp vermicelli and seafood special rice noodles.

So good!! They have an entire vegan menu. I got the vegan spring rolls and red curry with fried tofu. Delicious! The atmosphere is great. They renovated the place and it’s very cozy and nice. The drinks are on point. Our bartender Collin was awesome. We even got to meet the chef and she told us all about the food and answered any questions we had. Great experience. Will be back for sure.

The squid was certainly a delicious and unique tasting experience. The pho was some of the best ive ever had. My husband had the duck egg noodle soup, the meat was falling off the bone, he loved it. Vegan options. More parking in the back.

I have never met Chef Huong, but I am in love with her already and you will be too. I'm also a big phở fan and wow, the Boujee Phở was excellent and tied with the best i've had in Orlando. This place is big on presentation, too, which isn't important to me, but maybe would put this at the top. As seen in my pic, you are served the Boujee Phở with the massive bone sticking out and you scrape the marrow into the soup first for flavor. It was a huge serving so I ended up bringing some home and it was just as good the next day. I didn't finish it because I started with the Mango salad, which was really good (it's sweet, but not overwhelming), but a very big portion with a ton of noodles and filled me up.

I
Iman Gareeboo

Z Asian was very interesting; I've never really gone out for pho in Orlando, although there are several places that make it. The broths of the soups were really nice, and I enjoyed that they give you a plate of veggies that you can eat alongside your meal or put into the soup. In addition to the phos, we also had the grilled squid (spicy but very much worth it!), the quails (really delicious, the flavor was amazing), and the mango salad (big hit at the table). They have a sugar cane juice that tastes very good too- freshly pressed from actual cane, I think they might add a bit or orange to it because it had a lovely citrus taste. This restaurant is well worth making a booking for, since they don't always have lots of spaces for walk ins, although you can call ahead to ask if they have walk in space available. .

It was a bustling Saturday night in Orlando, and my stomach was growling louder than a lion in the Serengeti. After facing the formidable lines at two other restaurants, I stumbled upon ZAsain—a beacon of tranquility with its ample parking and mysteriously slow pace. As a Vietnamese American 🇺🇸, I admit I can be a tough critic when it comes to Vietnamese cuisine in the U.S. But hey, my hunger had taken the driver's seat, so in I went. Walking into ZAsain was like stepping onto the set of a James Bond movie—contemporary, classic, and stylish, minus the explosions. I half-expected Daniel Craig to be at the bar sipping a martini. Instead, I was greeted by Mohammed, whose table-side manners were so phenomenal that I briefly considered nominating him for an Oscar. The place was eerily quiet, with just one other table of four and a party of nine who waltzed in a bit after me. Most folks probably come here for the Pho or the main dishes, but not this guy! I was on a street food mission. I ordered the Vietnamese crepe Bánh Xèo and the Viet chicken wings, secretly hoping they would transport me straight to the bustling streets of Saigon. Fifteen minutes later, my food arrived, fresh and hot. First up, the chicken wings. Now, I'm a self-proclaimed chicken wing connoisseur, and I have a soft spot for Korean fried chicken. But these Viet wings? They rocketed to the top of my list. Sweet, spicy, with a magical umami blend of garlic, cilantro, and tangy sauce. The crunch was like a symphony of crispy perfection, leading to a crescendo of juicy, tender chicken inside. 10/10, folks—these wings could make a grown man weep. Next, the Bánh Xèo. Oh my goodness, it was like being teleported to Vietnam but with a classier, upper-crust twist. The pork and shrimp were cooked to perfection, a feat rarely achieved with Bánh Xèo. The crepe was light, fluffy, and crispy, like a golden cloud of deliciousness. Wrapped in fresh lettuce with a dash of anise leaves and pickled daikon and carrots, it was an absolute flavor explosion. All in all, my experience at ZAsain was stellar. Sure, the prices are a tad high, but for this quality? Worth every penny. I'll definitely be back, not just for the food, but maybe to see if James Bond finally shows up. In summary: If you're in Orlando and your taste buds are craving a culinary adventure, ZAsain is your ticket. Just watch out for Mohammed's charm—it might just steal the show!

We visited on a Friday evening, and the place was quite full — very busy indeed. It appeared that only one young fellow, out of three servers, was tending to most of the tables. He was a polite, well-mannered young man who reminded me a bit of my own son. My wife and I made certain to leave him a generous tip for his efforts. The food, I must say, was excellent. The Tofu Mango Salad was simply delightful, and the ribeye was cooked to perfection. The sauces were rich and flavorful — a real pleasure. For the food, I give a solid 10 out of 10. As for the service, I would rate it an 8 out of 10. Our server did his utmost to keep us informed and comfortable, but it was clear the restaurant was rather understaffed for such a busy night. All in all, though, we enjoyed a wonderful meal and appreciated the young man’s hard works. I highly recommend this place if you want an ambient environment with exquisite foods/drinks to try.

Wow. I am usually not one to take pictures of my food, but it was so good that I did. I hadn’t found a place for PHO that would be my favorite, I finally found it. This has surpassed all my expectations. I didn’t plan it, it was circumstance that made me end up here, but I have to say it was amazing. I can’t wait to come back. Waiter was amazing, chef was on point, atmosphere was perfect and it made for a wonderful unexpected date night. Photo: Boujee Pho

This was very very good food. I would drive well out of my way to eat here again. The food was great Vietnamese food, but the catch is that everything is very fresh, home made, rich in flavor, and the best in class of Vietnamese food. Truly, everything is delicious. I cannot wait to return and try more dishes. The chef is amazing and she chatted with us multiple times and interacted on the food and what makes everything special. The place was a neat spot with a cool vibe. It did have a bit of a dance bar vibe with the speaker cages about. The restrooms needed attention. The seat needs to be replaced and the women’s restroom is out of commission. Neither of these really affected much, but for the quality of the food, I would expect these pieces to match. Sadly, I don’t have photos of the food. I was so hungry and had a taste. I couldn’t stop until I finished.

I love this place. I tried the spicy beef lemongrass soup, the Pho noodle soup, vermicelli noodles, everything is delicious. I brought a vegetarian friend of mine and she loved it. A higher level of Vietnamese cuisine. Once I found it, I became a regular.

Orlando is filled with Vietnamese restaurants, and residents have had their favorites for years, but there's one they may have overlooked while driving through "Little Vietnam." This popular strip (Colonial Drive around downtown) is home to some of the most authentic Vietnamese cuisine in town. Z Asian Vietnamese Kitchen, a modern place unlike all the other traditional restaurants in the area, popped up next to a modernized sushi place in 2019, and we completely dismissed it because the name and the look of the restaurant did not exude authenticity. Two years after its opening, we finally got around to trying it. Our favorite place did not survive the pandemic, and we needed a new place for Pho. When we walked in, we immediately got the impression that it would be an American-fusion-type of place, but we were so wrong. Z Asian has an incredible menu filled with Vietnamese favorites, and they believe in slow-cooking and everyday freshness. There are only 2 sauces that this scratch kitchen doesn't make in-house: Sriracha and Hoisin. The beauty of authentic Vietnamese cuisine lies in the aroma, and Z Asian delivers that flawlessly. We tasted every ingredient that we smelled, and it was a memorable culinary experience. This is the first Vietnamese restaurant we've been to that has a patio, and they have cute little lights hanging everywhere. They also have a full liquor bar and an amazing Lychee Martini. It's strong and extremely flavorful. Everything we tried was good, but 3 items stood out. The Summer Rolls were so fresh, and the dipping sauce was delicious. The Pho was exceptional, and it smelled incredible. And the Chicken Red Curry was perfection in a bowl. This dish was so incredibly balanced, and the spice shone without overpowering any other ingredient. We could eat this dish every day. If you haven't tried Z Asian Vietnamese Kitchen, make it a point to go. This place will surprise you and have you coming back for more. We highly recommend. 👍👍👍 🤤 Don't just EATTHRUUS, eat and drink at Z Asian Vietnamese Kitchen. Follow us on Instagram @EatThruUs for more great eats and drinks.

My neighbor and I came for dinner here recently on a week night to check out the Magical Dining menu. The restaurant's decor is comfortable and modern with the lighting a bit on the low side, so bring your readers! We had the crispy quail and salt & pepper shrimp (messy) for starters and they were delicious w/incredible sauces accompanying them both. For the main course my friend had the grilled ribeye (a tad over cooked) and I had the lobster red curry, and they too were incredible and very flavorful. The steak had a nice smokiness and the red curry was amongst the best I've ever had. Dessert was mango mousse cake (subtle mango flavor, light and airy) and Belgian chocolate mousse cake (rich but not overly sweet), both were quite yummy and a nice finishing touch to our excellent meal. NOTE: When the bill came we noticed that an 18% tip was automatically added already, despite only having two people in our party. The only time I have seen the tip automatically added has been for parties of 6 or more people. OVERALL, we were very pleased with Z-Asian and look forward to returning sometime in the near future.

I'm old enough to remember when the first Vietnamese restaurant opened up in Orlando and my father, having spent a lot of time in Vietnam in less than ideal circumstances, being so excited to introduce the teenage me to the fabulous cuisine. In the time since, we've been loyal to another restaurant which I shall keep nameless for the sake of this review. When I heard that a newer Vietnamese restaurant, Z-Asian, had received the coveted Michilin Bib Gourmand, I was intrigued to say the least and quite excited to try it; Magical Dining made this venture an inexpensive foray. My first thought was that it was certainly the most elegant Vietnamese restaurant I've been to and, comparatively, had a very "fine dining" feel to it. The service was outstanding and matched the fine dining vibe I experienced upon entering the lovely restaurant. With the very the first bite of the food I was absolutely FLOORED as I had never experienced Vietnamese food of this quality! Much like the restaurant and service, the food had a very fine dining quality to it and was, without question, the best Vietnamese food I've ever had! As amazing as the food was, it was also quite reasonably priced with everything in the attached picture being roughly $50. I've since been to this incredible restaurant twice and both times the food and service were outstanding! Z-Asian is not just the best Vietnamese restaurant in the area, it's Vietnamese food at an entirely different level! It's well worth a visit, I'll be returning as often as possible, and, perhaps I'll see you there... Enjoy! 🙂

We made a reservation for my boyfriend's birthday and family. We chose the magical dinning for the table. The food was full of flavor, fast-served and beautifully presented. They were truly attentive and kind with us.

The food was amazing. The tamarind margarita great! They were short staff that day but still manage to give a good service.

Went on a Saturday as soon as they opened. Attentive service. Food was 100%. The squid on the chef's menu was amazing. Can't find that anywhere. Didn't need the sauce. Perfectly grilled. Pairs it with the garlic bok choy. Went great together. Green muscles are already in a sauce, light yet filling. Natural flavors mixed with their seasonings and touch was great. Chill vibes. Outside, you could easily miss it. Sushi hi is right next door. Fast service. The squid said $20 on the menu though and I was charged $25.... so I didn't like that but I paid it anyways.

The best authentic PHO I’ve ever had in America! We got the Boujee Pho although a bit expensive its worth it! Extremely flavorful! If you love pho from south VN then this is definitely the place. The stirfry corn is good but I dont like the strong shrimp paste (mắm ruốc) taste in the corn. Im used to the original stirfry corn from vn without the shrimp paste. Lemon grass clams isnt really worth the price nothing special. I dislike the automatic 18% service charge to dine in meal. That isnt even the gratuity charge you would have to tip separately. My waiter was very attentive.

Came here to try this place out. Lovely spot! Owners are very accommodating and friendly, that makes a big difference. I would recommend this place to anyone craving for some good tasting Vietnamese food. Love the Pho, they have specials that you wont find in other Vietnamese restaurants. Support this local owned business. Will definitely come back for more.

Most the dishes we ordered were good. I like the big grilled squid which I have not seen at any other restaurant before. Interior deco has room for improvement by a professional.

We did the Magical Dining menu. I see 'Michelin' anything and I'm going to try it. If you're going to try one item off the full menu I would recommend the lamb. When I say delectable I mean it to be almost pull apart but not the consistency of a pulled pork. It's cooked and seasoned perfectly. The mussels app is also amazing. There are few things that taste wondrous but were difficult to eat. If quail is on the menu I'm running right at it. The taste is amazing the way they cook it. I'm not sure deep frying quail is the best way to serve it. There are a lot of small bones in quail that are easier to eat around when seared and roasted. But fried does make it a little difficult to eat. The lobster tail curry. The coconut base is absolutely 5 star. Serving a lobster tail, in shell, in a bowl of curry makes it difficult to cut it without shooting it out of the bowl. It honestly tastes so good I would brave the risk another 10 times for both of these dishes. It took two hours to finish a dinner service for 6 people. We didn't get an order in for almost 20 mins, drinks included. It was a Saturday night so maybe we caught them one server down. It's really loud. I'm not sure why some restaurants don't invest in acoustic treatment. Leisurely hanging w friends and family is part of the dining experience for me. Anyone who has experienced The Monroe pre and post acoustic treatment knows it's night and day. I had to yell at a person 3 ft away from me to have a conversation. Other than that, we will definitely be back to try out the rest of the menu.

Certain dishes are very good here, but staples like pho are just ok, which is why I don't really agree with Michelin Bib Gourmand status. The grilled squid was our favorite, and the grilled pork summer rolls are unique. I'd come back to try the marinated duck noodle soup. Service was friendly and prices are reasonable for the location.

Solid vietnamese restaurant with very friendly staff. The vietnamese coffee was a really nice start to the meal. The appetizers were fantastic and I highly recommend the Z Asian signature wings and grilled New Zealand mussels. The mussels were very unique and the house sauce used in the dish was amazing. I got the special noodle bowl and seafood noodle soup. Both were mediocre, I would try another entree next time.

The food itself wasn’t bad, the soup tasted nice and the noodles were really nice. But the spring rolls were a bit disappointing as the filling felt like it was just frozen and fried. And many items on the menu were not available which pushed us to order things that we didn’t necessarily wanted to eat in the first place

Cool trendy vibes with neon lights at night and tasteful decor. They are know for their pho but wasn’t feeling too soupy so I ended up getting their Chicken Stir Fried Noodle dish. Flavors were really good but a bit too oily for my liking. Service was attentive and checked in often so that was nice. Gotta come back and try their pho with because it really looked bomb from seeing others ordering it!

I love the food here, but our server Alex was extremely rude. We typically get good service at Z Asian, and the last time we were served by this young man Alex. He was on his phone, even once taking a phone call, while taking our orders or serving food. Not to mention he was not nice and had an attitude on him! Really disappointed, it completely ruined the atmosphere.

Drinks were good, I had the strawberry mojito. Egg rolls were great. Red curry with chicken was lacking, chicken was super overcooked and I'm pretty sure the veggies were frozen, and the green peppers were soft and not fresh. I might give them another shot based on the reviews, but I left wanting more.

The food was very tasty and the grilled squid was our favorite. Unfortunately this restaurant earned a 3 star rating from us due to the high price for its location and really for the server’s response. We specifically let her know that the soup was extremely greasy. I am an asian and I am fully aware of pork belly and what it entails, but the broth was pure grease and extremely heavy. She could have brought the manager, suggested it to be changed, removed from the bill, etc. Qe barely touched the dish after tasting the broth and she chose to do nothing.

Pretty disappointed in my experience. Was really excited to try this place as it was bib gourmand recommended. I ordered the ube fries, steak salad, and bok choy as appetizers and the boujee pho and dark and spicy noodles as entrees. The apps were tasty although took awhile to come out and they came out one at a time. We were almost done with one dish by the time they brought the next out. There was a huge lull between the appetizers and entrees. This was about 5:30 on a Friday night with two larger tables as the only other customers in the restaurant. The wait staff was around and relatively attentive however they seemed pretty green. It was the entrees that really soured my experience. The boujee pho, their signature dish, was weak in flavor overall and lacked the depth that I usually see. The dark and spicy noodles were extremely pedestrian for the price and reminded me of cheap Hibachi takeout. The onions were essentially raw as well. Bib gourmand in orlando for Asian choices have generally all been lackluster except for the taste of chengdu. I have also tried shin jung for kbbq and found it to be below par. I think this review is more an indictment of the restaurants Michelin chooses that are not starred when it comes to Asian food. Unfortunate but thought this wasn't mentioned in other reviews.

Went there during lunch time on weekend. The place wasn't busy but it took almost half an hour for two entrees. Food is just ok but expensive. Only one server working. There is a bar in the middle. More parking behind the building.

I just don't get it. Michelin recommends it. Vegans recommend it. Non vegans recommend it. We have now tried it three times and all three just were not good. Food: it's wonderful to have a separate and extensive vegan menu and that is really appreciated. However, options do not equal good food. Our spring rolls were burnt, dry, and bland. The summer rolls had no real crunch and the fried tofu tasted smokey in a bad way. The peanut sauce was runny and had limited flavor. For mains, the noodle stir fry had more oil than a mob boss' hair. The noodles had some good flavor but all the veggies and tofu were seasonless shimmering in nasty oil. The lemongrass soup had an okay spice, but again was lacking flavor outside the chili oil. The housemade noodles were good, but VERY over cooked where they just disintegrated in your mouth. The red curry at least tasted fresh, but it was HEAVY on the coconut, so if you love basic-white-people curries that are more milky than peppery, you'll love this place. I on the other hand love the rich flavors of traditional Thailand and would not recommend the dish. Our whole party generally was not impressed and "greasy" was used by every party member after dinner. Service: kind and attentive. No real complaints here. Atmosphere: nice and generally clean, but the bathrooms definitely were not redone in comparison. Overall, we've tried Z Asian three times in the past two years and I just can't bring myself to try again. Everything seemed watered down or a distant flavor of what is expected. Maybe all the basic instagrammer people who are afraid of seasoning on their white bread mayo sandwiches are all rating this place 5 star. Just not for us.

It was overall a disappointing experience, specifically when it comes to the service. Our waiter had a very unwelcoming attitude and wasn't attentive to our table. Besides pouring the water and take our orders, he never came back to check on us once. What made it worse was that our entrees never came out after 50 minutes of waiting. I can understand if it was understaffed or if the kitchen is a little slower on the day. All it would take is to communicate to the customers and let us know so we can make the decision from there. We had to ask another waiter about our food because the original waiter never come back. We ended up walking out. And an automatic 18% added for service was just ridiculous based on what we experienced. I hope the restaurant will reevaluate and improve their customer service.

Do NOT order the pork. It's ground pork shaped into a patty and then grilled. The flavor was OK at best which is why I'm not rating this place lower, but the texture was awful. It may very well be limited to what I ordered because my wife had Pho and she believed it to be excellent, but I couldn't even stomach finishing this pork patty.

The food is great, its a bit over priced in my opinion for what your getting. I am impressed that they manage to charge these kind of prices for what is actually basic Vietnamese street food. I gave 2 stars because the 2 guy waiters were talking more than they worked. They were way more interested in eachother than their customers. The ambiance is nice except for the odd way they decided to point bright red/ green lights on your face at some of the tables. I had a bright green light in my eyes which was a bit awkward. Overall , I would not come back because of how basic the food was. To some who are unfamiliar with Asian cuisine this will be "delicious" but they could not impress me as I have been around many japanese, Chinese, Korean, and Vietnamese restaurants before.

We went there because they have outdoor seating. But when we got there is was so dark, and they didn’t want to turn on the light until we asked them. They tied the chairs and tables with chain to prevent from being stolen, and they didn’t do anything to untie them when we were there. We were sitting on chairs with chains connected together, can you imagine how uncomfortable that is?! And the outdoor seating is at the back in a parking lot, with damaged cars in a unsafe neighborhood, it felt extremely uncomfortable and unsafe to be there at night. Their food is acceptable, but not comparable to most Vietnamese restaurants on colonial drive. They add black pepper in the pho to enhance the flavor, which is so odd. And the herbs they gave along the pho only has basil, which is very incorrect. And the lime came INSIDE the pho, it’s supposed to come with the herbs so I can squeeze the lime juice if I want.

Went last night for a birthday dinner for my friend, waited 1 hour and 30 minutes for food MIND YOU they only had 2 servers and 5 parties in the restaurant. Took 30 minutes to even get drinks not to mention they were out of alot of items that night so ordering was a pain. They bring the food to our table to not even know what they are putting down! And the restaurant wants 18% tip off the bat for that service? They purposely avoided eye contact so many times while we were waiting for just drinks. They stood at the bar just chatting with each other until one of them finally asked after 20 minutes did we get our drinks? Also the bathroom was horrible, no toilet paper in one bathroom and the floor was sticky and filthy. And the other bathroom was filthy and I think had some sort of feces on the ground?? I mean the food was good but literally what was happening in that restaurant?? Most likely won’t return because that was just ridiculous

We went after lunch rush hour. We were given a table once we entered the restaurant by the busboy, but none of the waitress acknowledged us or gave us the menu until 10 minutes later. The menu had a lot of options including vegan options. The spring rolls were crispy and good. The beef pho was good. The homemade noodles were worth it but the portions were small for that price. The table was still hungry after. Overall service was slow and not attentive. Food was good but not worth the trip as there are many other better pho places nearby.

When we first came in January, the service was impeccable and food was amazing. We came 9 months later with a new guest and felt bad she had a completely different experience. From our party getting seated, and being shorted a number of glasses and silverware which had to be requsted and reminded numerous time, to our server forgetting several drinks, to items taking longer than usual to make, to several items on the food and cocktail menus not availabe anymore due to lack of ingredients, to an overcooked ribeye for $17, to slow service by our servers, had we not had our first experience, we would not have come back. The place wasn't that packed for a Saturday night (we got there at 9pm) and the reason we chose the place because they were open late and we had a great meal and experience the last time. I just hope tonight was a one-off.

I’m not someone who gives a review but my dinner experience last night changed my mind. We ordered 2 appetizers and 3 entrees. 1 of the appetizers was bland (lemongrass clam soup). Waited 40 mins for the 3 entrees never came out, (knowing the restaurant was busy on a Friday night and they were short of staffs) our waiter was never checking in on us, and we ended up leaving. We went to the bar to pay for quick check out, our waiter completely IGNORED us, and they got the nerve to include 18% service charge on every bill while providing the worst customer service. Michelin Guide? Every restaurant in town is getting one at this point. I was excited to give this restaurant a try but maybe I shouldn’t have come.

I normally only write good reviews but this whole experience was insane. Not just for me but for multiple other people trying to be served. For this place to have a Michelin guide mention for 5 years is honestly a disgrace. They were severely understaffed and it showed from the very beginning. We had reservations for 7:30 for a party of 4 on a Saturday night. When we walked in there were only 3 people running the floor. One was the bartender. The majority of the tables were already full. We waited until 8PM before anyone acknowledged us at the door. Finally a server asked how many people and we told him we had reservations at 7:30. He told us he would clean a table and seat us right away. Fast forward to 8:25 and we finally sit down. This wasn’t just us. The entire night people stood at the host stand for 30–45 minutes without being greeted. Many walked out. Others went straight to the bar hoping to get served. Once we sat, we decided to do Orlando’s Magical Dining. I ordered a coffee martini. The server told me they were out of coffee. No worries. I asked for a passion fruit martini. After bringing out most of the table’s drinks he came back and said they were out of passion fruit. No worries. I ordered a lychee martini. About 20 minutes later, almost 9PM at this point, the drinks finally came out warm. Warm martinis. I have never been served a warm martini in my life. The bartender ended up remaking them without an issue, which was the only thing that went well all night I also ordered the grilled ribeye for dinner. The server told me they were out. No worries. I ordered lobster instead. By 9:25 our appetizers finally came out. We immediately asked for silverware since none was on the table. The server passed us multiple times with food for other tables. Five minutes later still nothing. I asked the bartender for silverware. A few more minutes go by. The server then walked past again with food for another party. Ten minutes of our food sitting in front of us before we finally got utensils. At this point we were over it. It was almost 2 hours since our reservation and all we had was a round of drinks and appetizers. We asked for the check to pay for what we ate and leave. As the bartender was ringing us up, they suddenly brought our entrees. We tried one bite and the meat in two of the entrees we ordered tasted really funny and had an off texture. Shortly after, the three of us that ate a bite of that meat starting having stomach issues. That was it. We paid and left. Nobody came over once. Never said a word about the wait, the food, the service, nothing. There was no accountability taken on behalf of the restaurant for the awful experience, even after voicing many concerns. They even took our plates to the back to see how much we ate before deciding what to charge us. The whole thing was insane. Guests waiting 30–45 minutes without being greeted. Warm cocktails. Out of the 5 items I ordered, they were out of 3 of them. No silverware. Terrible food quality. There is being understaffed, and then there is bad service. This was both. I cannot understand how this restaurant still has a Michelin mention.

Parked and walked to their back door. A man asked if we’re going to Z Asian then said, “we’re closed for a week, for renovation.” I was looking forward to this dinner. Now Friday 5:45, and we’ve an opera to catch at 7:30. I sincerely wished that they post this week off on Yelp.

My boyfriend and I arrived around 815pm for dinner, we were sat immediately, however waited over 20 minutes for our order to be taken. The ambiance is lovely here, however I fear low lighting may be masking a deeper issue behind the counter. We were chatting while waiting to be served our food when a ROACH came scrambling behind us and across the couch. We immediately cancelled our order and left. Although the servers tried to persuade us to continue dining, we simply were not comfortable continuing to dine in a restaurant with a possible roach infestation. The food looked delicious , but sadly we lost our appetite. The two drinks we did have were very good, though...

Service was super slow. Sat for over 2 hours and only got out drinks and apps, waiting for the entrees. Orders weren't taken until 30 minutes of waiting. Had to wait 20 minutes for drinks. Food is good. But takes forever to get the food

N
Nick Robinson

Totally unacceptable service. Went with a larger party (8), but it took 25 minutes before anyone even took our order. There were three different waiters serving us but it appeared none of them communicated with each other, as we often had to ask multiple times for drinks. We had a 6:30 reservation and it was 8:45 by the time we got our entrees. I’m actually still waiting for dessert as I write this review (it’s 9:40). The food is good enough but nothing is worth waiting that long for. And after all that, not even a “sorry for the wait” or a “thank you for your patience.” Very disappointing night out.

For a Michelin-star restaurant, this was a very disappointing experience. We ordered five plates and waited nearly 50 minutes, only receiving two appetizers. Even as we were about to leave, the entrées still hadn’t come out. We had mentioned to another server right after ordering that we were on a tight schedule, yet our server never returned to check on us. The appetizers we had were lackluster and did not live up to Michelin standards. The restaurant was being run by only two servers and a bartender, which was clearly insufficient. Having worked in food and beverage for over 10 years, I can honestly say this was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had. To top it off, an automatic 18% service charge was included, despite the fact that we barely received service. Overall, the experience was far below expectations, and I do not plan on returning.

R
Ricardo J

The atmosphere was great, however, the service was severely lacking. No consistency, no follow up for service once in our seats. Waiters had to be reminded that we had no orders for food or drinks and could not keep track of the table efficiently at all. The food was good but it was late and cold. Everything from the start to the finish lacked. My expectations of a Michelin associated restaurants were shattered with the quality of service.

We really wanted to like this place. We're from Little Saigon in SoCal so we know what delicious, authentic Vietnamese food is. Plus, we're Vietnamese, and we just came back from our foodventures in Vietnam. BTW, 99% of my reviews are 5 stars, so for me to say that the food was less than mediocre, it says tremendous amount. We ordered the squid, quail, banh xeo and the mi xao. I cannot fathom how this place is anything Michelin. The food was a mix of too chewy, salty or bland and definitely not fresh. What made me feel the need to write this is bc there was a live, moving insect inside of my banh xeo and when I informed the server, he seemed indifferent and picked up the shrimp with the insect on it with his fingers. He returned a few moments later asking if we wanted another banh xeo. It was a hard no. What bothered me the most was that he never apologized--no one said anything about it like it never even happened. Like what? No wonder we came on a Saturday night and no one else was in there. We were gonna leave but we wanted to give it a chance. In addition to all this, I got a stomach ache from eating at this place. This restaurant needs to do better--a lot better.

I tried this supposedly Vegan Friendly restaurant three times. What hurts is the quality of care, lack of concern as well as the quantity given for said price of $13.32. I ordered the red curry, the first time it was very flavorful, but a small amount. The second time the same in addition to the veggie rice paper rolls, not so tasty. The last time which was today, I ordered the same Red curry dish. A small amount was given again after two previous complaints. Each time I ordered the food, I always spoke about the amount served. This time: same outcome, watered down and no flavor. I called and complained yet again and the same person I placed the order with said “Sorry “ 🧐. No Mam. It just doesn’t work that way. I will not return. You’ve just lost another valuable customer.

Very disappointed in my experience here. I came in after I got off work, 30 minutes before they close. I am very understanding of my dining time and I don't ever expect fast service but I do expect my food to come out before others who come in after me. I ordered the bun bo hue (spicy lemongrass noodle soup) and it was pretty much the worst I've ever had (I was born and raised in Southern California, more specifically Orange County area so I know what I'm talking about when it comes to Vietnamese food). My bowl of noodle soup came out 35 minutes after I sat down, whether they took that time to make my food from scratch or something, I'll never know but here's what I do know. The Vietnamese ham/bologna was slightly sour.. The broth was not only very bland but I suspect that they made it with pho broth mixed with some BBH flavor. BBH traditionally has a lemongrass and deep shrimp paste flavor whereas this bowl tasted of a lighter beef broth... with distinct pho flavors like light cinnamon and coriander.. I ended up having to add fish sauce and sate on my own to liven it up. Also, eating it and finishing it left behind a feeling and taste that's similar to my experiences when eating pho as well. At the end of the day, these are my own accusations and opinions, I could be wrong, but I could also be right about knowing what I grew up eating.. The cherry on top, I understand the exclusion of authentic ingredients like blood cubes and pork hock given the low demand for those items from the customers, but the bowl was $15. They sell BBH for $2-3 more than they sell their pho yet the ingredients and composition of their BBH were definitely lacking. If I'm paying for a premium entree off their menu, then it should've been way better than what I was served today. Maybe my expectations were too high, but I really hope this isn't representative of the Vietnamese food scene in Orlando, because if so, it's bottom tier for me. Come and order their other food, or just don't come before closing.

I hate giving one star. Our orders took alot to come to the table. Water taste bad. Waiter doesn't understand English. The soup really tasted bad. The appetizers was good but that's it. Price wise it's okay. My wife did say it's the worst restaurant I went into since a long time.

I am not one to write bad reviews and I would never wish bad on any restaurant trying to survive but this restaurant is sadly an example that the Michelin guide restaurants are much different than Michelin star restaurants. I had a party of 8 people coming in on Friday at 8pm for a Birthday. Including my party there had to have been at most 15 people in the restaurant, so not busy by any margin. There were only two people waiting tables and they were very kind but seemed a bit distracted. We ordered 3 appetizers (ube fries, salt pepper shrimp, and chicken wings) the ube fries were good! the shrimp was overpriced for what it was and the chicken wings never even came out even though we reminded the servers twice (and we were still charged for them). We then ordered our mains which were 2 red currys, a fried rice, basil chicken noodles, veg fried rice, birds nest noodles. The currys came out first after 10 minutes, 15-20 minutes later the noodles came out, and 5-10 minutes later the fried rice came out. Everything that was ordered lacked flavor, the meat was tough and was the worst versions of the dish we have ever had. By the time all the dishes were served food had gone cold. The servers did their best and apologized for the delay which we really appreciated and we told them that its not their fault at all. Regardless of who's fault it was there was a general sense of inattentiveness to the service, and the food which was glaringly obvious. With appetizers entrees, and alcoholic drinks the bill came out to 350 not including automatic 18% gratuity. I would recommend going anywhere else.

I visited this restaurant during the Orlando Magical Dining event, and it was one of the most disappointing dining experiences I’ve had. Honestly, I have no idea how this place received a Michelin Mention. The service was extremely poor. There were three very young servers working, none of whom seemed properly trained. Each course was served by a different person, so I never knew who to call if I needed something. Despite ordering my entire meal, including dessert, in advance, there was major confusion. After finishing my main dish, one server asked if I had ordered dessert. When I said yes, he went to check and came back saying it was coming. I waited a long time before another server finally asked the same question, then brought the dessert — but with a hair on the plate. Instead of following proper service etiquette (leaving the plate and bringing a replacement), the server took the plate back and returned with another dessert. At that point, I had no confidence whether it was a new dish or the same plate with the hair removed. The dining room is small, yet even with three servers walking around, it was nearly impossible to get anyone’s attention. This is not the servers’ fault, but the owner’s fault for failing to train staff properly. To make things worse, the restaurant automatically adds an 18% service charge. After experiencing such poor service, it became clear why — otherwise, no one would tip. As for the food: just average. Nothing memorable, nothing worthy of a Michelin Mention. Overall, this was a huge disappointment. I would not recommend this restaurant, especially when Orlando has many truly outstanding dining options.

We used to come here many times before they became Michelin Bib or whatever. Now they decided to automatically charge for service fee ? This is the first time I have seen a mediocre vietnamese food restaurant charging this. As a Viet, their pho is terrible. It's not how they used to be. They need to humble themselves and use that service fee toward their employee's wage instead. Why is it going toward the facility? Ridiculous overcharging, mediocre food. Please dine else where with more authentic food that doesn't charge this ridiculous fee. Very sad because this is where I usually go for bot chien but now its $16 just to eat it. Bot chien and a bowl of regular pho was close to over $50 after service fee and tips. Ridiculous. I rather spend my money somewhere else for better food on Mills50. As a Viet, I disapprove of this Vietnamese restaurant.

Frescura y Calidad: Sellos Distintivos
