I am an absolute regular at this fine establishment and have been for years as well as worked with almost everyone here. Might I say, the team that leads this bar and grill is simply unmatched. Sarah Bartholomew does an absolutely phenomenal job managing this establishment. Might I add the cute bartender Serena is always attentive, kind, and overall and great person to have behind their bar.

We loved it here! Shoutout to MARIAH!!!! We were staying at the neighboring Clarion hotel, and we were just looking around the area to see what we could do that night. Mariah saw my boyfriend and I trying to get a photo of both of us with the water in the background, and she offered to take the photo for us. When we came back later to eat, she was sure to take care of us at our table and checking in on us as we ate.

Today my wife and I had the pleasure of dining at Steamers. From the second we walked into the bar area we were greeted with a smile by our waitress Mariah. We took a seat outdoors at an end table so to be able to enjoy the entire view of the outdoor seating and river view. Mariah was very prompt to offer beverages before dinner and provided me several options of bourbon. We we received our drinks that were “made with love” and also provided excellent choices off the menu by our outstanding waitress who suggested the wrap over a bed of rice and the outstanding burger. The food was outstanding and Mariah had excellent taste when it came to menu specials that she actually liked herself. So we will definitely be going back a second time and when we do hopefully we will have the pleasure of having Mariah as our waitress and the cheesecake carrot cake both such sweet items at steamers. You were right Mariah, we should have gotten a piece of the cake to go!!!

First time eating here. We sat outside on a beautiful evening by the water. Nice atmosphere. Me & my husband had the broiled seafood platter with roasted zucchini & yellow squash & red peppers- very good! My son had a brew pub burger with onion rings. He said it was best burger he had in a while. Will definitely be going back😊

Ordered food for dinner/ takeout while staying at the connected hotel/waterpark with the kiddos. Pizza and appetizers sampler thing hit the spot for all of us. Worth every penny!

What an awesome find after a long day of salmon fishing! GS Steamers, located inside the Clarion Hotel, was the perfect place to refuel. The location right on the river offers a beautiful, peaceful view. Our server, Sarah, was absolutely wonderful. She was so attentive and helped us navigate the menu with great recommendations. The Haddock platter was a huge hit—the fish was super fresh and fried to perfection, and the portions were enormous. GS Steamers is a must-visit for anyone in the area.

We celebrated Valentine’s dinner at GS Steamers in Oswego (a little early on Thursday) and it was excellent! Our server, Mariah, was sweet, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. We started with the fried perch — hot, perfectly breaded, and fried just right. Then we had the prime rib special with baked potato, vegetables, and wine. The prime rib was cooked perfectly. We don’t drink wine, and Mariah happily substituted it for a non-alcoholic beer for me and a beer for my husband, which we really appreciated. She also recommended a homemade dessert — and she was absolutely right. It was delicious. For appetizer, prime rib dinners, desserts, and three drinks, the total was $99. Great value for such a quality meal. We’ll definitely be back. The location next to the river with an outdoor deck looks like it would be so fun in the summer. Highly recommend!

Everything in there was beautiful for a Thanksgiving meal. We took my girlfriend's grandmother in there and had a meal. Everybody was super nice. The dining room was super bright with the windows. Food was amazing. They had a great cranberry dessert. First time having that and it was super good.

I am truly SPOILED by the service my daughter and myself received this weekend. While stopping by for a steak dinner for my daughter’s 12th birthday we were seated on the gorgeous outdoor river view deck. Our server Mariah made our experience so amazing we felt as though she took personal care of us and made sure we were fully satisfied beyond our expectations. She also came to show off the special limited dessert she had made for another customer so we know what we could look forward to. Not only did she remember every single aspect of our order (without writing a single thing, she just had it down) she checked on us multiple times making sure we had everything we needed as well as treating us to matching rings from their extras from an event, she presented us with a birthday treat and took mine and my daughters picture together with the sunset in the background a treasured memory I will always hold sacred. When I tell you we are still talking about this long after the meal this is an understatement. Mariah is a GEM and truly the sweetest and a perfect example of customer service. We will always cherish that night thank you so much again!!!

Love the atmosphere and the staff. The food left a little to be desired though. I had the Steakhouse salad with balsamic dressing. The dressing was excellent but the steak was overcooked, tough and not seasoned well. My wife had a steak and garlic mashed potatoes. The steak was cooked just right but the potatoes had no garlic flavor at all. When you love garlic that is disappointing.

Good food and great location. I got the haddock sandwich, which was delicious. We sat out on the deck at sunset, very beautiful and peaceful.

I was low key expecting this place to be bad. We ordered our food and the guy walked right past us. I asked for chicken with my meal and my son asked for a side of shrimp. Didn't get the chicken. Then the shrimp came out. BUTTTT first bite was chefs kiss even without the chicken. My son and boyfriend got the delmonico and it was seriously cooked to perfection. At that point my view did a 360. Great food, very nice and clean. Definitely reccomend checking it out. I will for sure be going back when I am in the area.

We went for Easter dinner, service was very good , food was ok , I had the Seafood Mac , the pasta was very over cooked , the dish was kinda runny , the shrimp were good the scalops were nothing special and kinda overly fishy tasting , it had lobster in it I found 3-4 small pieces If that . We also had the pub burger , the bun wasn’t great , the burger was good it was cooked perfect . We also had the rattlesnake shrimp , it was wry good , I had a Caesar salad it was ok at best ,the dressing was delicious but there wasn’t much of it I only found it at the end at the bottom of the salad. For Dessert we had the lemon raspberry cake . It was good , no complaints there . For drinks we had an original mule I thought it was excellent , we also had an Oswego Sunset Margarita it seemed overly sour for what it was , a glass of white wine which was very good. Overal 4 stars , service was very good . Waitress was attentive , place was clean , I feel for an Easter dinner the music was too loud and fast beat but that’s a monitor complaint . We were satisfied but won’t rush to go back .

I was pleasantly surprised finding this place inside of a hotel of all places. The menu is good. It is varied. You can get bar grub under 20 bucks or splurge and get a nice entrée whether it’d be land or sea the seafood platter broiled was the best in the area. I came back twice in one week so that says a lot because it’s the only place I returned back to.

Restaurant is located in hotel. Lake views. Service was very slow. Nachos were supposed to have guacamole, but the waitress had no explanation for why it was missing. Food was just okay.

Fish was good, hamburger was ok. Nice atmosphere, poor service. Under staffed, took forever. Waiter doubled as bartender. Drinks tasted like no alcohol. Sunset beats on you if eating outside.

Had to drop 2 stars because the wait for food was soooo long. We arrived around 1:30 and it wasn't too busy. We sat in the outside seating area. Our server was very nice and looked out for us...which was necessary since the kitchen lost our ticket. Even after the lost ticket was noticed, it still took a long time for the food to get to us...over an hour. That being said, the food was very good and sitting outside was relaxing. My burger was thick, juicy and cooked to a perfect medium. Hubs got the haddock sandwich. The fish was enough for 2 sandwiches! He said it was very well cooked. Our server made good on the fact that our late lunch turned into an early dinner. The wait was long, but the food was so good that we'd be back to give them another chance.

Food is good, decently priced, an appropriate portions. I ordered the Pub Burger minus mushrooms due to an allergy. The waitress brought the burger with mushrooms on it, I would've expected wait staff to check the food before bringing to tables. After addressing the issue and waiting 15 minutes for another burger, she kindly took $6 of my meal. Was a little off-putting because if I hadn't checked the budget before eating it, I would've faced immediate problems due to the allergy. Made me feel my life's value is only worth $6. Waitress was nice but made sure her stops at the table were FAST...

Very friendly waitress, outdoor view is nice, commute from our hotel room was quick and easy. Appetizer was good, the chicken tenders were freshly battered and almost felt like fish and chips! And they were generous about a spilled glass of wine. However, the waitress was not told of our placement by the hostess for nearly a half hour, so we waited watching them constantly walk by without being addressed. Then they were out of a salad dressing. The main course was a bit dissapointing- The vegetables in the pricey pasta dish were all canned, the noodles were underseasoned, there was no goat cheese in it, and the whole overall dish was underwhelming. The ceasar salad was alright, but the added steak was a 7/10 at best- Slightly chewy, and had chunks of fat that needed to be trimmed off. The "Dragon" cocktail was barely alcoholic, and tasted like someone mashed mint and blueberries into a glass of ice water. Overall, if I ever stay at the adjoining hotel again, I will be dining elsewhere. Was not worth the associated price tag. Minus one extra star for nearly making me sick afterwards and almost ruining a date night.

Portions small and overpriced. Waitress brought my husband's drink while spilling it down her arm and all over floor and table which she seemed oblivious of. Added an automatic high tip to bill which I did not feel was deserved. Then anyone in our group who paid with cash, she brought back the bills part of the change but no coins. Her response to me at least " oh you wanted that?". Keep in mind we had several pay with cash.

Visited this restaurant for a small family reunion recently. The food was very good and the service was as well. However, after I finished my meal I looked up and saw that there was a lightbulb directly above my plate that was filthy with dust and cobwebs. I looked around at some of the other bulbs on the ceiling and there were others in similar condition. Note: if you are staying in the adjoining hotel and the hotel gives you a coupon for a free drink at this restaurant, you have to use it before the waitress presents you with the bill. In other words, if you were hoping to have a drink AFTER your meal, you are out of luck. Even though we had just spent $170 and given the waitress a 40% tip, she was unhelpful when we asked about ordering our free drink. I believe the coupon said something like "free drink with the purchase of a meal" or something similar. We HAD purchased a meal. But they said it didn't count. We were then told that we could buy more food and then it would be free. But here's the catch...the kitchen had just closed and our coupon was only good for another 2 hours.

Usually this place is generally on point to say the least, but tonight was anything but. Slower night, but that should mean that your staff should be more on point and attentive to your customers. Prices increased with the new year which, is just how the world is nowadays. But with that, they could not substitute all the stuff that comes with a burger for a slice of cheese and still charged me for the single slice ($1 making the burger $18). We also ordered a side of melon which was $3.50 and if you see the photo attached to this review, melons must’ve changed since the last time I went grocery shopping. All in all, we’ve had better times here (a lot better visits actually) but this was just inexcusable for how much we paid for the services we received even for a slow night. Just won’t make it an effort to go there as often, very unfortunate guys :(
