Cake House Pachuca Reviews
I really like this place; I've enjoyed everything I've ordered. It's a quiet place with good service from the waiters. It gets very crowded in December because of the end-of-year celebrations.
If you're looking for a proper breakfast, I highly recommend Cake House. The atmosphere is lovely, the service is excellent and the food is served quickly, and there's a wide variety of options to choose from, all delicious. It definitely deserves 5 stars!
It's one of my favorite restaurants with a beautiful panoramic view. As for the food, I love the flavor of the food they prepare. This time I ordered the daily menu and it was no exception, everything was totally delicious. The cream of daddy with bacon, the beef salpicón, and the grilled chicken breast bathed in a Mexican sauce accompanied by beans,
It's usually very good, but this last time it was kind of cold and the service was just okay.
It's what you'd expect from a restaurant in this chain. Good service, generous portions, and great flavor. My only complaint is that the chilaquiles toluqueños were served in a smaller bowl, based on my last visit. This particular branch is small, so you might encounter a wait, especially on weekends and during breakfast hours. It's a good choice if you're in the plaza for errands or other business.
The place is nice. Better than having breakfast at a Toks, Madero, or VIPs. There's a pianist, which adds a peaceful touch to the stay (instead of listening to pop music on a TV). If you're going to have breakfast, go early when they open for convenience and to avoid any issues with service. My burrito, coffee with milk, and cinnamon roll were good.
The restaurant is on the first floor of Via Dorada Square, with the elevator behind the restaurant. It's small but cozy, and the sweet bread is delicious and fresh. Individual cakes are available for special occasions in a wide variety of flavors—my favorite is carrot or lemon butter. New flavors include Hershey's.
The place is very nice; it was super crowded, but they still seated us (we were a large table). The food is delicious; we were truly surprised by the flavor. The portions are just right, not too much, not too little. The prices are reasonable. The service isn't the best; the waiters are a bit distracted and not very attentive.
It's a restaurant chain, apparently from Pachuca. The menu and the taste of the dishes are quite average, but not worth the price they usually list on the menu. The menu is varied and has something for everyone, from meat to vegetarian options. The service is very good and efficient. At least this branch is somewhat hidden inside this rather strange plaza in Pachuca. There was live piano music. There's a small play area for children. It has a nice view of Ben Gurion Park, and at least in December, with the Christmas lights, it had a lovely view of that area, but the other windows face the street, which is VERY ugly.
At first glance, Cake House seems like a pleasant, well-presented place, but the experience wasn't the best. The restrooms leave much to be desired, and the kitchen is right next to the exit, which isn't appealing at all. As for the food, for the prices they charge, it's honestly unseasonable; the dishes are simple and unremarkable. Personally, I wouldn't return.
I ordered through Rappi but they haven't responded, and to begin with, the product doesn't match the picture. I understand that's how it's supposed to be presented, but the description says it's a moist cake, and what they sent me was super hard and dry; I don't know how many days old it was.
I was supposed to meet some friends there. The restaurant's hours said they close at 10 PM, but it was 8:50 PM and the doors were closed. However, there were people inside, and my friends were already waiting for me there. Since the door has small windows, I could see an employee tidying up. I tapped on the glass and gestured, but he acted like he didn't hear me. I had to text one of my friends inside to get them to open the door, and again, there was still an hour until closing time. When I finally got inside, I wanted to order a coffee or hot chocolate, but the waiter told us that "their coffee maker overheated" and that they didn't have any hot drinks available. A friend asked if it was possible to make her some tea (since it would just be heating water in the microwave). The waiter said yes and brought it to her a few minutes later. I asked the same thing, if they could bring me some tea (I asked a different waiter), and he said they couldn't because of the same coffee maker issue. I told him that my friend had just had hers and that it was just a matter of heating water and bringing a tea bag. After my explanation, they finally brought it to me. When they brought it and I lifted the cup from the saucer, the saucer was dirty with something like melted cheese or chipotle mayonnaise. Clearly, they gave me another customer's dirty plate 🤢. A friend's daughter ordered a red velvet cake and literally only took one bite because it wasn't good. When it came time to pay, we told the waiter we wanted separate tabs, and he didn't seem too keen on the idea. Anyway, when we were each paying our own bill, surprise, surprise, the total was wrong, and they tried to charge us more 🙄. So, honestly, the food quality was bad. The hygiene was terrible. The coordination and customer service were awful. I don't recommend this branch.
Today was a complete disappointment. The bill was high, we checked the receipt and it turns out they were charging us for something we didn't order, meaning they were inflating the bill. We checked the menus and they didn't serve us the juice and milk from a package we paid for. What a letdown! If you're going to this restaurant, I recommend checking your receipt before paying and making sure you get everything you ordered. I don't recommend it.
The staff is friendly, but the food takes forever to prepare. When it arrives, if it arrives at all, it's often messed up. Cold food is hot, hot food is cold... It's the same in every branch. They definitely need an executive chef to oversee everything. As always, some people will like it; perhaps their quality and service standards are basic, but a lot depends on one's background and experience to form an opinion one way or the other.
Hello, good morning. Today I went to Cake House on Vía Dorada around 10:00 AM and sat at a table with my daughter near the cabinets across from the Football Museum. Everything was fine; they brought our food, and five minutes later, a section of the ceiling, including the lights and a lot of water, collapsed on us. Those of us on that side got up soaking wet, dusted ourselves off, and the only thing the manager offered was to pack our food to go…and wait, still wet?!…terrible service. They didn't even offer towels to dry us off 😣 or even come over to apologize quickly. I'm writing this simply to ask you to be more careful with your facilities and train your staff. I've had breakfast there several times and have seen entire families with babies in strollers. Imagine if that "downpour" or a piece of the ceiling had fallen on a baby; it would have been a serious problem. #cakehouse #CakeHouseViaDorada
