Pacifica Thai Cuisine Pacifica Reviews
Yummy Thai food, good prices, big portions, I wish we had tried this place sooner! The owner was incredibly sweet and we really enjoyed our conversation with her.
The staff was very knowledgeable and made excellent recommendations! The curry was absolutely phenomenal - not too spicy! The mango sticky rice was fabulous. We'll definitely be back!
Best Thai food I have ever tasted. The service was great made us felt like home. Love 🥰 it and high recommend it.
Service was on point, not intrusive just right for making sure we had drinks and everything we needed. The satay was good, not dried out. My curry was not too hot, but had a solid bite to it. I wish i had gotten the pork, but the chicken worked. My partner had a seafood dish he said was incredible, and my other partner had pad se eww, which he said was delicious and better than any other in the bay area.
My girlfriend and I were looking for a place to eat and this was very close to the place we were staying at so we decided to stop by not knowing that they were about to close. We decided to sit down and start ordering our take out. The owner/waitress was very helpful and motherly. She offered great insight and made us some extremely tasty food. Staff was very kind. Will definitely have to visit again.
Such a charming restaurant, I have been eating here for over 30 years. The Vegetarian Delight and Thai Suki soup are perennial favorites, also fish cakes and all the desserts. Tastes just like in Thailand, you should eat here now.
I don't know if the lady who served us was the owner or an employee, but she treated us as if we were her relatives who were home for a visit. The food was surprisingly authentic and very tasty. She explained to us that they intentionally make the food on the mild side but can kick it up as hot as you want by simply asking. They can add the heat when it's cooking or bring it on the side. Everything we had for dinner tonight was delish. I will be back for dining in and Carry Out in the future.
Love the food and the vibes at this authentic Thai "mom and pop" old neighborhood fixture! It's not a fancy place, but it's delicious and full of character from the sweet woman and endearingly grumpy man who run it every day. Love to come (and bring friends) whenever we are passing by.
BEST THAI FOOD IN THE BAY AREA!! Pacifica Thai is absolutely amazing. This mom and pop shop has such a great menu. They're from Bangkok and have mastered many dishes! Pop doesn't talk much, but he doesn't need too- he knows exactly what you need so if he points to something on the menu, you better get it! Mom is the best chef on the coastside and runs an amazing back of the house. They've been around for a while, so please support this wonderful, local restaurant!
Good food in cozy spot. The highlight was our server, Joy—she is super!
Lovely restaurant with fantastic service. Able to accommodate likes & dislikes. We shared the fish cakes….the best I’ve had in a long time. Yum! We also shared a delicious soup. Everything was delicious !
Wonderful find in Pacifica after coming by the pier to see the whales! We were initially planning to get takeout, but it was so peaceful inside, we decided to stay in! We ordered the Shrimp Eggplant (Makeur koong) special, Pa-Nang Satay chicken special with peanut and curry sauce, Shrimp Pad Thai, Chicken Pad Se ew, and, the most wonderful sticky rice with fresh mangoes for dessert!! Joy was our delightful server! My only regret is forgetting to take a photo of the main dishes photo before we started to devour it!! I added the picture of the started meal anyway. Thank you Pacifica Thai Cuisine! A great family run business!
Finally tried Pacifica Thai! It was yummy! The mango sticky rice was my fave. We also got pad Thai, coconut ginger fried rice and asparagus with chicken, shrimp, and crab. Everything was delish and huge portions. The lady who took out to go order was very friendly and efficient. Def recommend and we’ll be back!
We LOVE the authentic food at this restaurant. Its like homemade food. The taste is complex and delicious you can tell the ingredients are quality
Some of the best food in the bay area!! Nicest owner and staff. Go and try the beef satay!! So good.
Oooohhh my gooodddnessss. Okay I've eaten a lot of Thai food in my life. All over the US and in Europe. This was by far one of the best I've been to. The owners are these really cute Thai ladies. The vibes are great. Food was ready in like literally 5 minutes. They let me charge my phone. Prices were good. The flavoring and spices were spottttt onnnn and their Tom Ka soup was so good with a hint of citrus. They gave us a handful of candies when we left and asked us to come back again. The lady there is named Joy and she is really so cute. Highly recommend and it's in a beautiful spot near some great beaches.
First time I came here was about 20 years ago. The memory at this place was great. Since I’ve moved away from Pacifica, I haven’t been back. I came back here with my friend after nice hike around the area. I was very happy to hear that it was the same over since it’s opened. We ordered few different dishes to share and all the memories of amazing taste reappeared. Pad Thai was amazing with generous portion and authentic flavors. We also tried papaya salad and fried prawns which were also delectable. For 3 dishes, I couldn’t believe how the price was reasonable. Hope this amazing Thai restaurant can continue their business.
The pineapple fried rice and vegetarian delight appetizer was soo good! I've tried pineapple rice at other Thai restaurants and was really disappointed. The service was also excellent as well, everyone was super sweet and gave great recommendations. I will definitely be coming back to try the pad Thai next!
Great value and service! The skewers are the MVP! Very cosy family-style Thai restaurant. A public parking lot next door is a plus. The lady who served us was super friendly!
Very yummy food. Pad thai was very flavorful. Don’t forget to order the corn cakes for your appetizer. Let them know how spicy you want your food. If you feel adventurous, order Pad Suki Yaki!
Love this place. The food is delicious (my fav is eggplant #45). The waitress lady is very kind and welcoming. We love the grumpy man as well. We come here every time we are in Pacifica.
Wow! 5*+++ for authentic excellent Thai food! I lived over 3 years in south Thailand and after 1 year in US this food is the most alike I ate back in Thai. Yes, for interior, cleanliness, service don’t expect too much but it’s compensated with the quality of food. This spicy Penang red curry with basil on the cold windy day makes wonders and cleansed your nose the best way! The tender Veggie fried rice with green Thai Kale and moist Som Tom- Papaya salad plus the Curry with soda, made just 40$ bill for two people. Don’t miss to eat a proper Thai food and enjoy the beaches in this area.
Came out to Pacifica for the day and did some hiking around. Got hungry and was feeling like some Thai food. Not many places if at all for Thai in Pacifica. Cam across Pacifica Thai cuisine a small hole in the wall mom n pop restaurant. Walked in and was greeted by a nice older gentleman sat down and ordered. Got the Pad Thai chicken & Thai Eggrolls. Both came out relatively quick once ordering love fast service but the food tasted so good you can definitely tell they know what there doing great flavors and spices. Kinda dated atmosphere it is a little old looking inside and could use some sprucing up but. Don't let the looks of the building deter you away you won't be disappointed great food. Will definitely be coming back to try more new dishes. Btw very affordable prices. No price gouge here.
Had take out from here. Loved it. Really good sized portions. Had the Thai green curry and Pad Thai, which both tasted like they had been made in Thailand! Sarah chicken sticks were also amazing! Really quick service and the lady who served me was really chatty and lovely.
ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!! I’ve been to Thailand twice and this place has very authentic flavors! The service is excellent and fast! My husband and I highly recommend this place, we had the yellow curry and pad see ew noodles. It’s also only two blocks from the ocean, it’s a perfect location for a beautiful walk after your meal :)

the food was delicious, very much enjoyed the sauce for the chicken satay, whenever I visit Pacifica , will make sure to stop by
The food was noticeably better than most Thai food restaurants I’ve been to. The usual menu, nothing especially fancy, but it was clearly house-made (including the curry) and not too salty, instead the flavors were fresh and well seasoned. My friend didn’t want the food to be too spicy, while I prefer the opposite, so they provided some spice on the side, and it was of excellent flavor even on its own (not just heat).
This place is underrated! They deserve five stars. Everything is GREAT! Trust me I’m Thai and I’m very picky. The Panang beef satay is a must try. Updated We went back for the second time. We ordered similar dishes and everything is as good as the first time. The staff were friendly. Food is great. Plenty of parking lots. Seriously, this place is underrated!
The food here is great. Went here twice in three days. This is an older place with a mom and pop feel. The main lady is just the sweetest lady. All curries are made in house. I will be coming back for sure.
The red curry chicken is great! Also had multiple appetizers. Very good. Joy lived up to her name. We'll go again.
We went early for dinner and had really good red curry, green papaya salad and soup. The lady serving was very attentive and kind. It felt like a chill local spot.
What I appreciate most about this cozy local gem is the delicious honest food, staff and ambiance. It’s just an honest to goodness great place that’s been here for decades and I truly respect that, in an era where most restaurants get too fancy with chaotic music and weird fusion menus for the sake of being “cool.” But not here. This husband and wife team deserve all the patronage, they are hardworking and genuinely friendly folks. Upon entering, the wife came out from back, greeted us right away and offered us to pick any table. We ordered some beer, Tom Yum Koong and Pad Thai. Fairly basic items but there was something special about each of them. The beer was ICE cold and also came with a frosty mug. I don’t know why most restaurants/bars don’t offer the frosty mug anymore but it’s a detail that shows an extra level of thoughtfulness for their customers. Next, the Tom Yum Koong soup, which came out quickly. Note: a medium level heat is still fairly tolerable. The highlight of this soup was a surprising slight sweetness, we couldn’t place where from but it was pleasant and overall delicious. Lastly, the well plated shrimp Pad Thai with generous sauce had excellent depth of flavor. We were so impressed with a tasty affordable dinner, which came out to less than $60. I also appreciated the little tamarind candy that came with the bill. Parking is easy as there’s a small lot in front and street parking. There are so many small details to love at Pacifica Thai. We look forward to returning soon!
Hi, my name is mary.We came from california. My husband and I we are staying in our airbnb right in front of pacifica ocean. We decided to get some food, and this was the best decision ever.Ten out of ten the ladies are beautiful, respectful and well serving patties lady
I was born and raised in the Bay and only just recently heard of Pacifica Thai Cuisine. Which is my only regret! How did I not know about this place sooner?? The food was outstanding! We learned it was more traditional, prizing home-cooked tastiness over flashy culinary delivery. The service was a delight! Everyone was so kind, warm, and friendly and made sure we left with full bellies. And as a little bonus, they gave us plenty of treats to try at home! The atmosphere was super cute and cozy, without being overly flashy. It was clean, and gave us everything you'd want from an awesome local find. Honestly, my family and I can't wait to return and make this a staple! Highly recommend the beef satay and the Pad Panang with pork!
Pacifica Thai has the most delicious, incredible quality food and the kindest people! They have so many options, a really homey feel and really try to make your experience as good as possible. Pacifica Thai is the best Thai Cuisine I've ever tried, they create such a nice atmosphere and our family has been returning to them over and over again. The care and authenticity they put into their food and restaurant in general is so admirable. Thank you so much Pacifica Thai! :)

Tasty food, tried the penang red curry and fried banana with coconut ice-cream. Both were great tasting. Comfy atmosphere. Server lady was friendly and polite.
Not the best Thai restaurant in Bay Area, but it’s ok if you’re nearby or having a special event. We had a birthday lunch here. We chose this place because it was difficult to book a table at last minute on weekend. Small restaurant but spacious. Great service, food were ok. A little bit pricey. Parking was easy. It would be nice walking to a beach after meal. Overall was good.

7-20-2025: Our server, Joy was very nice and friendly. The food was good.
Pretty good food and service! Portions were great and the hot sauce was a must.
We have been loyal customers for years, bringing our family there since we moved to Pacifica. We do so because the quality of the food is awesome. The service, though, really leaves something to be desired. Each and every time we have gone to Pacifica Thai, there has been something wrong with our order. And I mean every single time. As an example for multiple years they refused to bring us the chicken skewers that we ordered for our kids because the old man who takes the order thought they were too spicy. So we started ordering them for ourselves and giving it to our kids. You shouldn't have to do that in a restaurant. Last time we were there they really discouraged one of us from getting the dish they wanted, to which we signed and went along with it. Recently we brought a large group there for a family dinner. While the food was tasty as always, they decided that we were done and started clearing dishes while we were still eating and a members of my family wasn't able to finish their dish. It was super awkward. I asked the man who takes the orders who told me that it was my responsibility to tell them to not clear the plates rather than them using their words and asking. He then brought a bunch of to-go containers, dropped them on the table in front of me, and said "well since I clearly don't know what to take, you can handle it from here." At the end of the dinner, after we had left a nice tip (because we're human), he comes to he and motions that it's time for all of us to get up and leave. The restaurant was empty and it was not closing time. The woman who runs the kitchen ran out and gave us some complimentary food to say sorry, because she knows we are regulars, and it's clearly her job to cover for the grumpy waiter. After almost 20 years of going to that restaurant and having bad service each and every time from a waiter who clearly doesn't care about customers, we're done. Sorry Pacifcia Thai, your awesome food doesn't make up for your terrible service.
i make thai food. and after tasting there spicey pineapple fried rice the flavor was bland, but they give you alot but there was no flacor and the chilly flakes they put on where to big , getting stuck in my teeth, but great customer service.
Giving a 1 star because can’t give 0 star. I was walking in for dinner and someone who appeared to be the owner was so rude and rolling his eyes as he was asking if I wanted to dine in or take out. I later came to realize that the restaurant was about to close. But there are other ways to let your customers know about your hours of operations. If the business’s doesn’t make you happy my friend, shut it down! Life is not easy I get it, but it is simple!
There was black stuff in the ice, so I requested Thai tea No ice, the man proceeded to yell “Thai ICED tea” like 30 times. I explained I understood him and I don’t want ice. He continued to repeat as did I. What an uncomfortable experience… the food was not that great no peanuts in the pat thai sad tasted like rice noodles with chilly oil also sad chicken no tofu and still got tofu 😣Will never be returning
