If you want to have a nice family dinner without the hassle of cooking this is right place. Grill chicken always tastes great and don't forget to grab green sauce, it makes the chicken taste better and it is not spicy.

I went to el pollo loco in my break I pass for the drive thru and I order a avocado burrito it was very fast I think it didn’t take 2 minutes when my order was ready the manager Jorge is very kind and professional on his job.

I had to leave a review for this location. I live closest to the Sylmar & San Fernando locations; but I drive the extra distance because I don’t have to worry about something constantly being wrong with my order OR hearing the infamous “we’re out of that”. I have consistently received great service and great food so far every time I come here. Thank you.
I love it its very affordable the workers are nice food is made quickly and the cashiers are super patient for you to order and if you ask for coupons from their desk sometimes they'll give them to you
When I got there I was greeted and the employee was helpful answering questions as it was my first time at this chain. I ordered family meal with habanero salsa , The mac n cheese was pretty good, and the coleslaw . Definitely I’m come back again
I just want to start off by saying wow! Five star for their manager Angel. Wonderful job in drive thru, if I’m being honest, best customer service I could ever gotten. Very specific with the order, repeated it back very well. Best of all he had the best attitude, great sense of humor and very fast. Will be coming back
Amazing food, amazing managers, amazing everything. All other establishments have been lazy and the service was unsatisfactory. A refreshing feeling came over me when I started coming to this location. I have to really commend the workers however, for providing such an experience. Thank you!
Drive up teller with piercings was rude, says we needed to order extra onions in a bag I ahead of time after she put us on hold while taking our orders twice. Didn’t even have a chance to tell her about extra onions. Manager was notified. He says that he’s had a lot of complaints about this particular person.

I placed a pollo bowl all they put was rice!! I didn't eat it threw it away!!! i called person i spoke to said take a picture can go bk get another one was raining i couldnt go bk.
I ordered one of the quesadillas with chips and a drink. The chicken was good and my quesadilla was truly stuffed. The chips were not bad as other pollo loco's and they were out of vitamin water but otherwise very good food
This is my go to if I decide to indulge in fast food. Had me some shrimp enchiladas. Filling, but doesn't make you feel gross like other fast food often does. Always tasty salsas. Used a coupon, which I highly recommend you look for. There are always deals. Did wish there was veggie options besides rice and beans. Or maybe like enfrijoladas.
I like pollo loco. Prices are reasonable. Been coming to this location for years. ALWAYS check your order almost every time I have ordered food to go or pickup they tend to forget something. Sometimes we don't say anything and other times we go and pick it up.
That was my view tonight when I was eating my nachos they were really good. I had one problem the churros were so hard my tooth chipped,they never greet u always mad faces even when u say thank you they act like they don't reply even though I say it like 3-4more times and nothing .
Would give it a 5 star but it's inconvenient when the only way to purchase is drive thru only with out any signs letting us know that Dine in is closed to the public, unless I missed the memo or something. But food service is great.
The food here is hit or miss. Somedays the food is good, the chicken is juicy and other days the chicken is bone dry and hard cause they over cook it. The corn is great, but even the Mac and cheese is too salty at times. Overall, the place is pretty good. Service has been good. When they get rushed, it could take a while to get your order.
Pretty good and fast, the only issue has nothing to do with the restaurant itself but the people that go in there are sometimes a bit much. Other than that I've never had an issue with this Pollo Loco location and I would recommend the chicken nachos.
My wife stopped by this El Pollo Loco tonight to pick me up something to eat since she was nearby. I asked for the original pollo bowl with no beans or onion. I also asked if they could add extra salsa in the bowl instead. When my wife went, she said there was no one in the drive thru so she used that to placed the order. They made the bowl exactly how I wanted it. The only issue I had with the bowl was that they didn't give a good portion of chicken. For the price of the bowl, it's really reasonable. How they make it will be determine by the person making the order. I tried the green sauce for the first time with my bowl and I thought it helped give it an extra spicy kick. I enjoyed my bowl, the rice wasn't overcook and there was enough salsa. Just not getting a lot of chicken was the only problem.
Food was good as usual. But I had to ask for my quesadilla that was left out. Also no napkins or silverware. The two tortillas were falling apart, so not really good for using as tacos. This is not the norm.
The food is good. But for a family dinner for 8 they only give you 6 salsas. That's not nearly enough saying as how they only fill it to a quarter of the way. More salsa for my food please.
Chicken was OK. Service was really bad. There was literally a line all the back to the parking lot entrance. I waited in line for about 10 minutes and it didn't move so I parked and went in. The cashier was not friendly, the female manager was working at a speed of a SNAIL. She had a resting mean face the entire time and also not friendly. As I was waiting for my order, I realized why the drive thru line was so backed up. The young girl that was supposed to be working at the window and taking orders was actually standing in front of me on the other side of the counter talking poorly about another employee to the female SNAIL manager. The only employees actually working were the poorly trained cashier boy who couldn't understand the customers orders, the back condiments assembly line woman who was busting out side orders & condiments fast and with no help. The male manager who was moving at a good speed, had impressive multi tasking skills & was obviously doing the work of the unproductive employees but he never addressd the matter & allowed this all to take place.
Variety is low not much of a family type place because most kids only eat chicken in a nugget form. Its healthier than other fast food places but it's not too great in taste. My mom likes it tho so maybe you will too. I say you at least try it once then decide if you'll stick around or move on.
I was given one fork for 2 meals. Sauces were seeping out of the little containers and spilling inside of the bag, dripped on clothes and some items. Not my favorite location, don't want to come back.
My daughter almost has worn me out with S.B.'s. Everyday, everyday! Wish I bought stock with that company! Good "girlie" coffee but as far as I am concern Mickey D's Vanilla Latte w/whipped cream beats them hands down without a sweat!
Was very disappointed how I waited 25 minutes to get my food . I literally saw when the cook cut up my chicken the lady in the make line made my burrito and the person putting the order in the bags literally took 25 minutes to give me my food . I told her I needed plates and forks and took forever I told her that at the pace she was moving my chicken was going to be cold by the time I got home. She replied they were under staffed . But I saw alot of employees and the only order she was putting together was mine . My chicken was in the bag for 20 minutes and the burrito seating on the make line for the same time! It was really irritating. She was literally dragging her body to move. Terrible!
My mom had ordered food from here and they gave us and uncooked stuffed steak it wasn’t hardened on the outside and it looked like it hadn’t been toasted or nothing it was cold when my brother had opened it he had to toast it up himself💀 they also gave him the wrong meat they gave him a chicken one rather then beef
Honestly most pollo locos are a gamble to see if you'll get freshly grilled chicken or dry over grilled chicken. I must have bad luck because I seem to get the dry burnt more often. What makes it worse is I always forget to double check and I'll see the quality I received once I've already gotten home. It always really makes me regret going but I always come back when I have that pollo loco craving.
Second time at this location and they ran out of chicken. Lol it's a chicken place why wouldn't you make sure there is chicken?! And they wait until you get to the register after waiting for what seemed like forever to tell you this very important information. Not good my friends.
Manager Candy has no manners, cashier was asking her a question for me as a customer and she raised her voice at her and not once made eye contact with cashier nor myself. Not a position for manager. Won't return to this restaurant.
Per website and sign on door it said closed at 10 we got there at 8:30 and doors were closed. Only drive thru was opened. I get some places havent open completely due to covid-19 but if thats the case upgrade info on website and signs on door. And to top it off the girl at the dribe thru was rude she was telling her coworker " dude whats up with all this people out today ugh" and she didn't even say thank u and when i asked her for cilantro dresses she got bother.
Had to reassemble my tscos!! Just went there on 3/20. Ordered some chicken tacos. At the drive thru window they asked me to go park and wait. Which is NO problem. But then comes out my order and this skinny girl just swinging my bag side to side. I might as well have asked for a bowl of chicken and tortillas.
I like pollo loco, but this particular one is a hit and miss, on my last visit i was trapped in the drive thru for 23 minutes after i placed my order, and my stuffed quesadilla was full of bones. Not Funny! a few times they burned the chicken to the point that it became bitter, make sure you have all your items before living the drive thru, Good luck
Usually all is good. But yesterday oder was bad. Ask for 2 pcs breast meal. Got home to find 4 burnt thighs in my box and they forgot my tortillas.
This pollo loco was awful, they forgot to give us tortillas and the little bit of salsa they gave us was not enough for the family meal we got. I ordered a pico de gallo and they said they didn't have any because they were under staff. The staff was nice but very forgetful because of how busy they were, had to remind them twice about utensils.
One of the worst pollo locos. Everytime I ask for extra juicy chicken. Looks good at drive thru, when I get home top chicken is juicy, reheat nicely. But bottom pieces are dry and over grilled. Looking leather. 3 times is enough. Best pollo loco is the one on Nordhoff and Balboa. Never fails. It's a drive but it's worth it. Especially when your paying soooo much for it.
Terrible service Barely any sauce was given for a large order and we didn't get a drink that we ordered or any napkins which is pretty sorry. Better of going to a taco stand
I don't understand why this place is always so busy. I ordered 2 shredded chicken hard tacos and the shell was so stale, the meat was so dry and it felt like it had been the 2nd or 3rd time they had fried them. So disappointed. I have gotten them at other locations and have not had this problem. My mom ordered a chicken tostada salad and there was hardly any chicken. Whatever chicken it did have was so hard. The tostada was also greasier than usual. We bought a total of 5 tostada salads and 3 tacos. Paid $75 for mediocre food and service.
I rate the Pacoima location 2 stars. The location isn't the best. The drive thru always seem to be crowded, unorganized and lengthy in time. Overall El Pollo Loco has good options but the food here is truly hit or miss. Most times its a miss. Several occasions my guac is brown and taste old. Then one lucky days, you can get a nice color, flavorful order of guac. As for the chicken; there are days its dry. Other days it is nice and juicy. One awkward thing I won't forget; before I turned to pick up my food at the drive thru window, the rep had my food hanging outside. All I seen was the arm and my bag dangling. It made me laugh but that was inappropriate. The pictures shown was a good day for the guac. I also had the pollo bowl.

Don't go there bad service, the manager couldn't care less about your complain and she is really rude. Drive through is the worst and they give you whatever crap they feel like giving you. Don't ever leave without checking your order if you ever go there. They give you whatever they burn and leftovers at the drive trough because you are rushing out of there since they keep you waiting forever.
DONT DINE IN. This place went down hill; always runs out of condiments in evenings. Permanently closed down salad bar and discontinued lemons. Need to ask for lids and straws.
I will never have Pollo Loco again! I was here about 3 weeks ago ordered chicken tostada and avocado burrito and the meat was nasty...nasty...nasty it taste and smelled like OLD FISH.. They must cook the chicken and shrimp on the same oil...YUK

I was so disappointed! I got the family meal and they didnt give any sauces nor the regular sides it comes with. They got our order wrong. Not only did we wait in the drive through 25min but when we received everything and got home we noticed the tortillas we asked for were incorrect and they did not add sauces and we were missing a side and another side we received is not what we asked for. It was a late night when I went so it wasnt that busy to mess up the order.
This is the worst pollo loco restaurant I've been in. Restrooms are terrible, not clean. Not soap, not towels paper . Customer service really bad, supervisor doesn't listen to your request or complain, no ice. Waiting line to order not less than 30 mins. A really disaster and really bad customer service.
The last few times I’ve come this Pollo Loco in Pacoima is the last! They always screw up the order. Only this one in Pacoima. I love there food but, to bad the people at the window are so rude. They need retraining or something. When we order sides they always say that they are out of a particular side. What’s up with that?!! It’s really bad.
Worst pollo loco I've ever been at. The rgm there has no respect for his costumers at all he was rude to me argued.after I was waiting for almost an hour for my food. I have pictures of the food they gave me no chicken at all. And to top it all the rgm was answering phone calls and touching the food at the same time I have witnesses also that seen what he was doing.I did ask him for my money back but he didnt want to give me back my money because the food was ready. After all the things he did. I'm very unsatisfied I hope I get a response from a area coach from that store.
This Pollo Loco need some serious help. Corporate needs to come in and remodel the place, give it a good scrub down! Get rid of all the staff because they are rude. They could care less if there's a hair in your food.

They over charge me and don't want to give my refund they want me to get something else because they don't give refund why do I have to fight for my money when it was their mistake. This pollo loco is super unorganized and dirty. The kitchen floor has food splattered everywhere and its wet (and not like its been mopped more like they just drop the water on top). Last night when my boyfriend and i were there we noticed a cooked spilled the fying oil and didn't clean it up. When we got our food which didnt take long, we were happy to be out of there. We ordered two chicken avacodo burrito. We took our food to go and went home. Upon eating his burrito he finds paper in this burrito, it seems as if the avacado is wrapped in wax paper. We later came to find out that, they indeed wrap their avacado slices in wax paper and one their employees failed to take it out of the paper. They did return our money and fixed the burrito but this is not the first time we come to this pollo loco and something is wrong, definitely won't be coming back even if it's the closest one to my house. The employees can't seem to get it together.

Be very careful. The good reviews are fake and it's obvious. The reviewers only have 1 review and they all say the same thing !! Horrible Service!! I specifically asked for no cilantro and onions and as the shift leader was packing up my food, the cashier asked if they made sure not to add the cilantro and onions and the shift leader said it's ok just give it to her. I checked my food and low and behold, it had onions and cilantro. I asked the shift leader to make me another one and she said it didn't have onions and cilantro on it like I was lying or something and all the girls were looking at eachother as if I don't have a right to have my food made properly. I didn't even make it a big deal. I just wanted my food made right. On top of being 32 weeks pregnant, they took soooo long AND I noticed how unsanitary everything was. Flies everywhere and the staff using the same gloves to touch everything. At that point, I just asked for a refund and It took ten more minutes just to get a refund because the shift leader was having a hard time adding up everything I ordered instead of just looking at the receipt and giving me back what I paid for. Just horrible service, nasty attitudes, and dirty nasty place. Never again !!! Side note: I'm just now reading the reviews and it explains everything !!! The owner is just as guilty for how poorly this place is operated, judging by how he only responds to the fake positive reviews. Shame
I went through the drive thru and order three crunchy tacos and a combo. Get home and they are not there. Drive back and walk in…order three crunchy tacos. They only ordered two. I will never come here again. Poor service.
The experience I got in this place was not as expected. The chicken avocado burrito had chicken that didn’t taste fresh as well as the whole burrito wasn’t set proportionally - it barely had any chicken, beans, cilantro sauce or avocado at all. The preparation did not meet my expectations as I have tried this burrito before from a different pollo loco. The chicken didn’t taste good at all. They forgot to add dressing for a double chicken tostada and didn’t place forks or napkins in my order. Definitely needs a lot to improve for me to ever go back to this place. Not a place I would recommend to go.
Very bad service! Don't come to this location. We ordered 5 chicken bowls and there was hardly any chicken mostly rice and bean. We called to speak to the manager George and he also has a lousy deposition. He was disrespectful and accusing us of lying. We have gone to multiple pollo locos and they fill up the bowls all the way no issues. One more thing is that we got no napkins, straws, or forks. We asked for plenty of serrano chilies and we only got 3 for 5 bowls. The red salsa was rotten and smelled bad. Very bad lousy kids working here.
I would come here all the time for my lunch breaks for years. I work a few blocks away from here but this Pollo Loco has lost a client. After terrible food poisoning I will not be going back here ever again. It was extremely painful and I do not wish to get food poisoning again. I would get mild discomfort from time to time from this establishment but I’ve thought it was worth it because it’s the healthiest option around and the food is good. They crossed a line and I won’t be coming back.
Be Careful with this pollo loco. When you order the combos they are up selling you by giving you a large drink with out asking! At first I only thought it was that one time but we have noticed it several times. Now when I order I make sure to mention regular size drink. Mind you they add extra $3 for the large drink on your meal. This has happened to my husband, my mom and also me. Is the new practice dishonesty with there customers.
Order a burrito and it wasn't even wrapped. Also ordered a double chicken salad and it's was pretty much shredded meat not chopped. The customer service was horrible. No one was at register or even cared to come do their job. Seemed like everyone had an attitude.
Every time I come to this pollo loco I have problems with my order and the drive thru workers are so rude I ordered a side of rice and instead of rice they gave me another Mac n cheese. I also asked for salsa and according to the drive thru girl there was salsa I got home and there was none. Every dam time they need to retrain all there drive thru workers cuz there attitude is trash.
Two years later, I returned even after that bad experience , but today I left more dissatisfied. How is it possible that a restaurant does not have a baby changing space?? I had to go out in that heat to change my two-month-old baby in the car because the bathroom in their establishment does not have one. one that is not legally mandatory?? No wonder the place is empty. I feel sorry for the management who doesn't have children so they know the importance of something so small in a place like this.

Terrible customer service. I have had 2 different occasions where I order food from here and I’m missing items. I ordered with DoorDash and I was missing my sides, called my driver and they told me to call the restaurant. The manager then tells me that I can go in person and they “might” be able to do something. First off if I ordered with DoorDash it’s because I didn’t want to go myself. Secondly you should be checking the orders you send out before sending them to avoid this from happening. There’s people that use DoorDash because they don’t have such easy access to reaching the restaurant they want to eat from so they trust that you will be full filling the orders you get.
Way to many mistakes with my order. I ordered a family 12 piece meal. I asked if I can get a substitute for the wings. Instead of wings if I could get legs. I ask for flour tortillas. I get charge an additional 5 dollars for order. When I asked they said it was because it was mix, yet their prices says $33 for mix. I get home to find they gave me corn tortillas instead of flour tortillas. They also gave me the wings I asked them to substitute but they for sure charged extra for "substituting" them. Never again Pollo Loco. SMH
If there was an option for zero stars, I would leave that. DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION! Make sure you check your order and don't have a boys name...! I waited in the drive thru for over 15 minutes, placed the order and when I returned to work to eat it-the entire order was wrong. Instead of just biting the bullet- I decided,not today, and drove all of the way back. When I got there I got nothing but attitude from the staff and was told to wait all over again. Keep in mind I only have an hour for my lunch break. The manager Alexia Martinez explained there was a price difference between what I ordered and what they actually gave me. And she decided that it would be a good idea to charge me for the difference. They messed my order up, I drove back and forth, waited in line and now I'm expected to pay the difference. I gave her my card just for her to look at me confusingly and then say "this isn't your card...the name on the card is Jordan, a boy's name." The embarrassment that hit me was too much to handle. People were standing around staring at me. I explained a. that's very offensive b. I'm not going to commit a felony over $8.00 and c. if you have an issue you could have been professional with your biased options and asked to see my identification before making much an offensive statement. She did none and just charged the card. After making me wait, it's now almost an hour since my original order, they hand me my food. And they messed it up AGAIN! HOW?! After all of this. Thank God I learned my lesson and checked my food. It was not Skinless. At that point I was so irritated, hungry and late getting back to work not even having enough time to eat I told the lady I couldn't believe they messed up my order for the 2nd time. She insisted, said no it's fine, handed it to one of the cooks and had him quickly rip the skin off with his dirty gloves and hand me back my food. I have never had a worse experience in my life and figured I should leave before I see a rat in the back. At that point, it wouldn't even surprise me. By the time I got back to work it had been over an hour and I threw my food away because it was cold and I simply didn't have the time to eat. I'm still waiting for a response from corporate, I placed my second call today and still have no heard back. At this point, a simple refund won't cut it. Order: 2 Skinless Chicken Breast, Side of Broccoli and mashed Potatoes. I've been coming to this location for many years. The worker did take my coupon she said the register is not taking it.
Long wait time and my double chicken bowl was not double chicken. I asked for no rice, extra beans the gave extra bean caldo,That was not a good experience. Also the cilantro indy bowl and on the side was already old looking brown. I asked for cilantro dressing for my bowl and was told 90 cents, the he said it's OK but the cilantro dressing was also brownish not fresh at all. I will never ever be back to this pollo loco location also I let the drive thru girl know on intercom I have a app deal and said the scanner is not working. This was another strike for this place. They probably need better management and more polite employees. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS POLLO LOCO LOCATION. THANK FOR READING
Hands down the absolute worst El Pollo Loco in the entire valley. The management is terrible, the place is never clean, and the workers don't care in the slightest. Their work ethic is even worse; They sold me a guacamole burrito only to then give me a burrito with no guac I went back to ask about it, they said they'd make me a new one. I get the second one and still no guac, just (LITERALLY) a fingernail's worth of avocado at the end. I ask about it the second time and only then did they tell me that they've been out of guac. They even refused to give me a refund or, at the very least, more avocado on the burrito. I honestly hate that this is the closest location to my work. This location is abysmal and an utter embarrassment to the franchise.
This location needs to be retrained. Legit the only location that ignores me when I walk up to pick up counter. Had me wait 10 mins ignoring me then finally someone asked what order number only to of course see my order is sitting on the side since I came in. Do better or don't be under customer service. I'm going to start driving out of my way to any other location in the valley. It's the training doesn't matter how many faces change the attitude and culture stays the same.
The manager on duty on July 29th at 1:16 PM has a tendency to forget food items. When reminded, she often denies any mistake and insists the order is complete. I had to show her that an item was missing. Please always double check food items, don’t trust them.
Yea.. just got nachos that looked like they where thrown across the room. Did they drop them? No idea. The guy threw them at me and shut the windows. He didnt give me my receipt but I asked and left them a servey. They look terrible.. I just won't go back here again. The lady in the drive tru was super nice but I've never been handed food that looked this bad.
The place are super dirty, especially the kitchen. I really love chicken and this what i got. I'm super fan of el pollo loco, but this branch disappoint me and to make it clear this is not breast it's totally bone breast and that girl in counter are giving attitude even you act nice to her.
This has been by far the worst experience..This pollo loco has the worst customer service at the drive-through the girl that took my order was so rude she acts like she is the owner and is giving you a free plate of food. But hell no, I paid for my food and this is unacceptable. Every time I go there she gives really bad service. And the food they gave me was horrible.. I ordered a Chicken Quesadilla and they gave me a quesadilla with a bone and all skin like really…. ??? This was for my 2 year old son… I will not even give that to my dog.. The pollo bowl had no chicken as well it was all beans and rice… This is ridiculous.. I will never go to this location ever…
Val and Sabrina were not patient with me at all and the pic that said I can get a free burrito I did not get it and the people working here who I asked did not know how to go about helping me in used g the app which were Val, Omar and Sabrina . As Val who who i needed help but recieved to the oppisite title was here at this location said to me with a Stale look and tone said;" (We )don't know how to use the app ." Her position was according to Omar ;" the one beneath the boss in shifts " The service here was so bad , rude and unexpected as my boy and I spent $40 for lunch here today in expectation to receive the free burrito advertised for downloading the pollo Loco app for the very first time only to be turn away and not helped with understanding as to how to receive the free offer . Being a business owner of tree doctor service Inc. It seems that the leadership here sets a stressful tone that all follow suit in as employees here . Unless that may not be the case then it clearly appears that most here that I came in contact with dmfor the very first time hate there job . Also it reported from us ordering a chicken Quesadilla that we ordered for kehlani. It just said chicken quesadilla chips and a drink. And didn't have what it Would be Made with. So when I looked at it and it had onions. I had Malachi my boy go take it back in order to take them out. And Hector Jimenez, Seemed bothered and also mentioned to Malachi ," That he has to let Him know before you order So Because that we have to throw it away" He also mentioned;" here you go is there anything else you want " gave it to him in his Hector Jimenez. I don't know his title, but we didn't experience anything correct over here.
This restaurant needs to be visited by the heath department in Los Angeles. We arrived at 11:00 am. The restaurant had two customers in line. When we finally ordered our food, I noticed how gross and dirty the restaurant was an hour after opening. It was filthy, and the soda machine was broken. There was water in the lobby, just gross. 🤢🤮 My elderly Mom loves Pollo Loco, I did not say anything at first to not upset her. I will never take her back. I couldn't eat and much less finish my food. Our meals went in the trash. This place is not fit to be serving customers' food. Management has dropped the ball and just does not care. I will take my business elsewhere and so should other customers. Either fix the problems or shut that location down. The manager working yesterday at 11:00 a.m. didn't seem to care. Pacoima location on Laurel Cyn. They need to see how bad the conditions are at this location. Do better!
I was disappointing. I was excited for the food, but when I opened it, I was disgusted when I found out that their was a hair in it. I call them to inform them about this, and they ignored me and told me they’ll call me back, but never did. The chances of me ordering from here again are very low. Do not recommend if you want the same thing to happen to you.
So sad this is my local pollo loco, service here is never great. When I dine at other pollo loco locations service is much better. Makes me wonder why can’t my local pollo loco have the same service. Even the food is different same menu but different, burnt chicken, smaller portions. Some managers that work the drive thru are also rude. Just wishing for a change or just better service 🙁
