Medrano’s is an authentic Mexican restaurant with live Mariachi performances and great food. I love the enchiladas suizas; the melted cheese blends perfectly with the shredded chicken and tangy salsa verde. The accompanying Spanish rice, refried beans, and house salad with creamy ranch were also tasty. The service is always good, too. I can always count on Medrano's for authentic, satisfying Mexican cuisine.

Bacon-wrapped jumbo shrimp-- need I say more? We left an hour-plus long wait at Olive Garden after calling Medrano's and being told we would be seated there immediately--which we were! The place was beautifully decked out for Christmas inside. The food came quickly, and was excellent. We encountered at least 5 different staff members, all of whom were very friendly, accommodating, and concerned about our satisfaction. We'll be back!

I love coming here to drink micheladas they are well made but they are about $15 each if you come here and eat with a partner we prepare to spend around 25 to $30 per person they do have a buffet on the weekends which is around 35 per person 14 per child The food is amazing but I usually come for the drinks and the great atmosphere as they're always playing great music and it's never too packed I always find a seat right away and they do accommodate for large parties. The bar here is separated from the main dining section which is also a plus because you get to hear the music and also if you get tired of your family you can get up and go get drunk on the other side while they eat. Don't order the Chile relleno here...... trust me

This was my second time going to Medrano's. I had the carne asada Taco plate and my wife shared a molcajete. The food was very very good and authentic. For dessert i had the fried ice cream, was very very delicious. The margarita and piña colada was tasty. I highly recommend. They have live music on the weekends and also kareoke. The service was prompt and friendly. So go and have a good time with good service and awesome drinks.

I came here tonight with my family and we were seated right away. Chips, salsa and bean dip are complimentary and very tasty. Their margaritas are very strong and just what I needed after a long stressful work week. We all were very happy with our food and ate so much there were no leftovers. I had the chicken taco and enchilada plate, hubby had the chicken burrito and kiddo had the chicken burrito kids plate. Her meal was $9 which I thought was pricey for a kids plate but that's honestly the only room for improvement. Our bill was about $54 which was expected. We had 2 people waiting on us and they were very friendly without being overbearing. We'll absolutely be back!

This was my first time eating here and I will be back. The food was delicious and customer service was the best I’ve had in the Antelope Valley. This is the only place I will go for Mexican food from now on. If you want good food, good customer service, and good prices this is the place for you.

Medranos is a staple restaurant in the antelope valley. It gathers people from all nationalities and units the guest with a great environment! Wonderful service, great food and entertainment! Brunch buffet are amazing and has everything including omelette bar! On the weekends it’s a great place to let out of stress and swing your hips to great live mariachi bands, karaoke and live DJs! #1 for food and entertainment. Highly recommend!

We hosted a Christmas party here recently. We had a buffet with Steak/Chicken Fajitas, beef/chicken burritos, cheese enchiladas, salad and beans/rice. The food was fantastic and the staff were attentive. They stayed on top of drink ordering, bussing tables and were very friendly. David was great and made sure we were taken care of and had everything we needed. Would definitely do this again for any occasion!

I was there on a Saturday night and had the Mexican Steak for dinner, which was good. I also ordered a couple of margaritas that tasted delicious. They host club nights on the weekends so expect lots of music with dj or live bands, along with a dance floor. If you’re looking to have a full dinner on a weekend night, get drinks and dance the night away, this is the spot for you! They might even offer you a chance to do karaoke on certain week nights. Took my family to eat here when we baptized my son. They were really nice and helpful. It was a lot of us so took a bit long but we were watching the France vs England World cup game so we didnt feel it. The only problem we encountered was one of our dishes was not properly cook. Medrano's, first and foremost, has absolutely delicious food. What they say is true that you can tell very quickly how good a Mexican Restaurant is by the quality of their chips and salsa. These chips are very crisp, not greasy, and shaped as the perfect vessel for dipping or shoveling the salsa in. The steak fajitas are absolutely wonderful. The steak is beautifully seasoned, standing tall on its own if it had to. However it never needs to since the medley of onion, peppers and tomatoes compliment it perfectly. The side of rice and beans with pico and guacamole is a solid accompaniment. But here's the other part. It's a bit chaotic in there. I don't know if there's a method to any of the madness, but there were 4 to 5 wait staff overstepping and overwriting each other at every turn. Having one at a table, maybe two waitstaff is more than enough. It got very overwhelming every 3 minutes to answer the same questions over and over again due a potential lack of communication in the back. This, however, did not get in the way of how friendly the staff was. They were accommodating, helpful and very pleasant. The food was delivered promptly, and exchanges were always polite. The atmosphere was a bit claustrophobic feeling, but this could have been due to being seated in a main pathway for all employees, and the Sunday Brunch Mariachi band playing at each table, making it feel a bit stressful. I mightve just come at an inopportune time for my own preference, but I figure it would be worth the warning. All in all, Medrano's is a very positive experience, and the food alone is enough to not only come back, but absolutely crave. This one is worth a trek.

Needed a place to eat in a pinch. This place has a lot of good reviews. Food was decent. Service was excellent. Sports bar type atmosphere. Lots of TVs everywhere. They had the Dodgers game in every TV. Brought out crayons and coloring pages for our kids and that kept them entertained (well that and the giant TVs).

Prices are in the low-medium range, but watch out for parties over 6 people, they will add automatic gratuity of about 18%, which apparently is legal now (Why do we still tip?). Will still recommend for casual dining.

We went to celebrate 🥳 a birthday. The service was beyond 😃 the food was tasty and they even brought a shot of Patron to the Birthday Boy! 🥃 We left happy and full. We'll definitely be back! We ordered The Chef's special combo, chicken flautas combo, and a burrito and taco combo plate. These are our regular "go to" items that we order and weren't disappointed. 😋😋😋 Our waiter was on point and readily available if we needed anything. It cost $115 + tip for the 3 of Us. The atmosphere was homey and relaxing. We were there late afternoon, on a Friday, so it wasn't busy yet, just the way we like it. 🙂

Went during the week at lunch time and wasn't busy at all. Service was fast and friendly. Refilled drinks quickly. Chips, salsa and beans were complimentary and those were also refilled quickly. Ordered the Botana de Mariscos, which was okay. Not that good for the price. Only one small shrimp of each kind and lots of octopus and tomatoes on the one tostada. The avocado which they give you alot of also, was very good and fresh though. They do not carry tartar sauce for the fish or shrimp :/ and the cocktail sauce is more like a ketchup. My husband ordered the Carne asada torta. He didn't like that the cheese was just a thick cold chunk.. I will have to go and give it another try ordering something else, maybe?

Had 2 drinks and 1 entree and paid over $100 for myself. We went as a group and split checks and our checks came out on post it notes with no breakdown. When I questioned how much the drinks were (with no prices on the menu) I was told each drink was $28. I didn’t order any drinks with premium alcohol. Just a really shady business model, and the food was really mediocre.

The food was good, I ordered the chicken enchiladas and the were good. The only issue I had was the drinks we ordered. We ordered a tequila sunrise and vodka and coke. The vodka tasted more like whiskey and the tequila sunrise watered down. If I am going to pay almost $15 for a drink I expect it to be a good one. Our server was great and checked on us often and got everything to us quickly. All in all 3 stars.

We used to come out for weekend karaoke frequently but ever since Amy & Jonathan left it's just not the same. The woman who hosts it now talks too much betwern singers & she cuts off the singers before their song is done. We love the food & the friendly staff but no longer enjoy karaoke nights there.

The Monday & Tuesday DJ for karaoke would rather belt out his own slow 8th grade dance songs than the requested music. Were do I begin? I came to Medranos Friday night and sat at the bar section because there was almost no available seats available. I then ordered a chile relleno (Anaheim) combination plate that came with rice and refried beans. Me and my boyfriend tried to start a conversation with one of the guys making the drinks at the bar and he just seemed in a bad mood. Luckily the younger guy at the bar proceeded to help us throughout the night. Verdict on the food I ordered: 👎 chile relleno was flavorless, the rice was a bit dry and flavorless as well. I'm not exactly sure if I'll come back.

I’ve been coming here for years and I love the food so much but I’ve learned that eating in will always be better than getting food from here carried out/delivered. First, are the portions which are crazily different especially since you’re paying the same price or even higher but for a smaller portion. And second is the quality, I had an entire avocado in my guacamole while my fiancé had an entire half of a tomato in her tortilla soup. i love eating here but i’m disappointed in how rushed the food seems to be when you get food to go:( the beans r super fire though

Over charge after I left. Good thing I keeped my receipt, however when I called the host was rude and did jot want to help at all. No one able to help me solve my over charge issue and when asked managers name the host immediately responded with I have things to do and need to hang up. I told her I was not being rude why she needed to hang up and continue with same response . Definitely do not recommend going there and If you do save your receipts and use a credit card to be able to dispute the overcharge amount. Customer service sucks. Marsha if that is your real name be more helpful next time, is not your fault but at least help resolve the issue in your best way possible. Owners take pride in what you do and train your employees to have a better response to problems like this and do not allow them to overcharge. Shame. Update 2/17/2026 after the review I gave Anna called and was great she listened and was able to review the overcharge and figure out why it happened. I like to give true reviews. Well how can i explain we got there and sign up on the waiting list to be able to go to the area where there was music and where told that we will be called. Meanwhile we order our drinks and some chicken nachos. You can tell this place was overwhelmed because all you saw were the waitresses running back and forth for orders. We sat in the english side and they had karaoke. We waited and waited AND WAITED and it was about 2 hours in when we decided we wanted to go home. The “security girl” that was supposed to come and get us when it was our turn never came. I did see there was a lot of fooling around with the securities. When we left we talked to a tony who apologized for our wait and noticed that they crossed our name off the listed but no one ever came to get us everything is out of control in this place. And it was annoying.

Today we went there for Mother’s Day brunch .we had a table of 7 my husband went to pay the bill for a party of 4 and we were charged for the whole table not realizing until we got home even though we asked for the bill to be split. I was welcomed great but the waitress was so disappointing. This was the worst experience I've ever had. We come to Medrano's often but never had this experience or this waitress. We ended up not ordering and leaving disappointed.

The food was ok nothing special I ordered a steak dinner medium well and they served it to me burnt my wife ordered the asada tostada and the meat was cold on top of that they force you to leave a 20% tip that is not ok i don’t mind tipping but for them to force you to is wrong.

Horrible service. Had a reservation for my sister’s graduation last night. Table of 7 at 8pm. We got there on time they sat us pretty quickly. The rest of my party arrived around 820. It took the waiter another 25 minutes to come to our table and take our order. We didn’t seem him any sooner than that. The food was taking forever to come out. Every time we asked the waiter when it would be ready he would say ten more minutes. After waiting with my daughter until 10pm I finally decided to leave. They tried to bring me out a plate of fries for my daughter but honestly I just wanted her to have her food. Our entire table was complaining that they couldn’t even bring out my daughter’s order of a junior enchilada after waiting an hour. The rest of my family decided to leave at 10:40 after still not receiving any of their food. Worst service all of us have ever received.

Dont order off the menu too expensive and food is garbage.Maybe their buffet is good,not sure.

Worst Mexican restaurant I've ever been to!!! I took my dad here for Father's Day and was highly disappointed. They had a bunch of middle school kids working and it just didn't feel the most professional but the service wasn't even the biggest problem. As soon as we sat down we noticed our table was wobbly and the music they had playing kept cutting out. The atmosphere was not it but the food was definitely the worst part, it absolutely disgusting! My little brother ordered an asada quesadilla and complained that it was nasty so l tried it myself and I literally spit it out. The meat wasn't seasoned or even cooked well. My shrimp cocktail tasted like nothing but ketchup, extremely sweet! Will never be coming here again!! Do not waste your money here!

Last few times the food has really gone down hill two tablespoons of rice with my enchiladas no onion cilantro or lemon with my menudo I’ll be going to El Toreo from now on Medronos lost my families business!!

Hi I went there and everything seem ok at first they gave me my food and I was happy to get my food. However I notice that only my plate that me and my 3 year son ate we got sick. I do belive that they did something to my food because only me and my son got sick. My 3 year son started to vomit and I my self was vomiting and had diarrhea be careful this has been happening with this restaurant. I thought I was the only me however going to reviews under 1 star I found out that this has been happening. I feel sorry for the person doing this and that you may find peace with God so that you don’t have to do this. And if you’re not happy seek the lord Jesus Christ that way you find peace not of this world but the peace of God. Remember all things have consequences and rather then lifting this business up you’re dragging it down by hearting people.

First things first, just don’t come here. Absolutely horrible. The service was a joke, staff was unprofessional, the restaurant itself is falling apart my table was wobbly and everything was outdated. However, the worst part of it all was the food. Unseasoned, small portions and overall tasted awful and to top it off unreasonably overpriced. I’ll say it again, save yourself the trouble and don’t come here.

My wife have been to Medranos numerous times and the food has always been great. However our last visit ordered a shredded beef burrito with rice and beans. The burrito had a mixture of beef chunks, shredded beef and right in the middle of my burrito a big piece of FAT! The rice serving on my plate was a child’s portion. I would rather go to Taco Bell or Del Taco. Standards have dropped!!

The service was just not there, she kept walking past my girlfriend and I and giving her weird stares. We should’ve left before we got the food cause the food tasted as if it were microwaved. I got a quesadilla and the chicken was not fully cooked and felt squishy, while my girlfriend got asada fries that tasted microwaved, the carne asada was unseasoned, and fries weren’t fully cooked. Also why are drinks $5 a piece? Overpriced for no reason. I paid $47 almost 50 for such a poor quality experience, not cool.

I paid for an extra soup that I didn’t get. I called to let them know and the person who answered was very nice and willing to help me and was very apologetic. I decided to let it go because mistakes do happen and they were very busy. However, when I started to eat my combination plate, which was a chicken enchilada, rice and beans. There was no enchilada sauce whatsoever and the beans were watery. So I decided to post a review because at this point it’s just unacceptable, busy or not. I do not want my money back. I just want them to see these reviews and get it together. Whoever is the cook needs to step up their game. They are not cheap to be serving this kind of food.

The biggest rip off is the bar. A Cadillac Margarita for $22.00? If it were a decent tequila, I could understand, but this is well tequila. Management needs to really take a look at this and make some changes or they will close down.

I gave this restaurant a second chance but I got disappointed again. My entire family got food poisoning including my 3 year old toddler. The waiter was pushing us to get drinks for the kids and food for the kids even though we explained that our little ones will share our food because the don’t eat much. Maybe this upset her. We all got food poisoning the next few hours. We even called the manager next day to let them know about this issue and instead of taking it as way to grow the business he took it as an offense and called us liars. He believed he got allergic reaction but food poisoning. Anyway don’t go there people are rude, you get food poisoning and management does not care.
