What an unexpected surprise. We had time to kill and stopped for coffee, and ended up ordering some of the best biscuits and gravy I've ever had in a restaurant!

Love this place!! My little family of 5 felt right at home here the second we walked in. The food is amazing and the service was even better. We’re staying in town for a few weeks and I’m sure this will be our Saturday morning spot until we move on. The chicken fried steak was on point and the cinnamon roll is a must!!!!

We love going to get breakfast here. It's one of our places that we like to go for great service and a delicious breakfast. We always enjoy going to the cedar tree and recommend it to plenty of people. We feel welcome and so does our daughter.

Had desert here last night. Carol keep up the great baking.We all love you're sweets. Had some guys up here Bass fish tournament two of them ordered youre Cinnamon rolls they really enjoyed them. Atmosphere is lacking here but food is always good!

Nice breakfast spot but the pricing seemed high. Over 31 for oatmeal, and plate with scoop of cottage cheese, abt half sliced tomato and maybe a third avocado sliced with 2 cups of coffee.

First time there in over a decade, and I had an excellent meal Plus our waitress, Ashley, was a beast! She took care of a packed house all on her own! Definitely coming back :-)

Every time I have gone here my food has been very tasty and well prepared... I had the avocado bacon burger and it was Beautiful looking aside from being Delicious as well... whenever I'm in the area I try to make it here before they close

The place was busy on a Saturday morning, but the service was phenomenal, the food was perfect and even my four year old said it was the best ever. From mimosas to coloring crayons, this place was ready for our family of 4.

This place is honestly just an awesome breakfast..order the BLT with a fried egg and avocado on sourdough. You will thank me later. Its an easy off the 44 on your way to Lassen.

I wish I remembered her name because I would call her out and let everyone know how great she was for our family. I came up to visit my sister and her little family. Under the circumstances we were all in, this place was an amazing experience.

Cheese oozing out and juice dripping off made a mess, but it was a very tasty mess and filled me up. The fries were also really good and crisp. Looking forward to coming out more often!

She arranged tables and seated us quickly all with a friendly “happy you are here” vibe. She was all by herself and handled our group, plus her regulars, with a wonderful, personable attitude. We did not have to wait any longer than a normal, short wait for food, and I took note the regulars didn’t either. Plus, Our coffee and water was filled regularly. The food was down home delicious. She also handled the check fabulously. I paid the full bill and she made sure I had what I needed to recoup from each family, going out of her way to make it easy and even sitting down to help/double checking all was well on my end of it. I loved this place even more after using the restroom. Weird to say I know. But It was sparkling clean and smelled good…a rarity in restaurants. I trust if the restroom is that clean, the kitchen is probably even better. When we come thru town again, we will definitely come here.

Such a great Cedar Tree omelette with a side of hash towns and an English muffin. It was big enough to split! We couldn’t resist adding a pancake on the side - light and fluffy. Breakfast served all hours they’re open.

The food was fine but I was a little shocked to see my glass of Pepsi was $3.59! And I was never offered a refill.

When we walked in the waiter said I don’t know which tables are clean so you can pick one. Once we sat down I left to the washroom. When I returned after approx 5 mins my friend said she asked a man for menus but he didn’t acknowledge her. Two groups of people walked in and the woman and man set silverware and placed menus while making small talk. Shortly after we received menus and place settings - if we weren’t so hungry we would have left then. Food was delicious, service not so much

We were there for my cousins b-day. The food was good, a little on the cool side. The place was busy. But it's getting pricey.

Asked for a stake medium rare and got it overcooked to the point of being dry, most of the food was dry as well, the waiter was very polite and prompt.

Went for breakfast and to be nice I wasn't impressed I ordered steak and eggs and my son got chicken fried steak and gravy and my bill was over 40 bucks and neither my son or I were pleased but when u charge 8 dollars for oatmeal makes ya ??????

Service was TERRIBLE. It took 10 mins for anyone to acknowledge our presence at the host station, never offered a refill and just were put on the back burner the entire meal. Food was good but not worth the service we received. I guess when your the only game in town for sit down breakfast, you can let customer service slip way down. All in all I'd rather eat at the shell station, better service and food is just as good.

Made the mistake of going for mid-morning breakfast. There were only two other patrons there at the time yet it took an extremely long time before we were served. Service was poor, food was not very tasty or even well prepared. Too expensive, stingy and obviously don't care about patrons returning.

Date of viisit: Tuesday August 6, 2019. Time of visit 11:55 AM PDT. Came in and waited to be seated. Employee walked by, ignoring me and cleared tables. When she finally finished she acknowledged me, but did not great me, nor smile, Just a terse, "one?" I told here "five," and she rudely told me, "well wait over there." At that time, my four friends came in, and I told them, "let's go somewhere else," and we did.

Poor service....several other people also left...staff never even acknowledged our presence. I understand busy, but; 1. They weren't busy, 2. You're never too busy to look at a Customer and say " I will be with you in a moment "

We ate dinner in the Pub part of restaurant. I had mashed potatoes which were like soup and a chicken fried steak which tasted like cardboard. Cannot recommend . Food is terrible.

First time , was very excited. 3 people in eating,about 1pm. Took long to be waited on. Took long to get served. Had fried country chicken. Ate a wing. Then cut into breast. Inside was still frozen. Waiter ask wife, would you like us the heat it up. Wife says no thanks.. she took our plates. Then we left. Will never go back there.. very disappointed..

I went to this restaurant with my husband and kids ages 7, 7, 5 (and our 6 month old that of course didn't eat.) The service was ok. It took about 30 minutes from when we arrived to get our food, but the food was good. When we received our check the only things printed on the receipt were the amount and a place for a tip. The amount looked high by at least $10+. My husband asked for a copy of the itemized receipt and neither waitress could get it for us. We wrote down what we ordered and asked them to call us back when someone could check the total for us. When we received the explanation about the high total, we were told that we were charged a "service fee" for having more than 5 people in our party. That is completely absurd and of course isn't posted anywhere. It's unfortunate that this restaurant is in the habit of slipping in hidden "service fees" to families trying to enjoy a morning together. We will NEVER eat there again.

I have never been so disappointed!! My family and I went to have breakfast on Fathers day. They made us wait twenty minutes to be seated as they was seating smaller groups of people. Instead of putting a couple tables to gether and seating us. I will not be coming back here.

The food and service is generally good here. However we had the owner as our server and it was a bad experience. While ordering my girlfriend requested her bacon be crispy, to which she received a snotty "our bacons always crispy" as the owner walked away. When our plates came the bacon was NOT crispy, yet we enjoyed the rest of our meals. When it came time for the check I asked for the large remaining portion of my omelette to be boxed to go. As she brought our check I was told that my omelette "didnt make it". I asked for clarification and was told that it ended up in the trash. Understandingly I was upset and told she would discount my order. The discount was $2 on a $14 omelette that about half remained. I only learned as we were leaving that she was the owner, she seemed like a discontent server who didn't like her job or care about the business. I will be eating elsewhere from now on.

Absolute worst customer service. The older lady was really rude to us, i ordered a half salad and got charged for the full salad. Daughters grilled cheese tasted like wax. They didnt even split up the orders correctly. Will never go back. That place is gross

There are places that make you fell welcome. Cedae Tree is not one of these. The worst attention ever. We wait for almost 15 minutes for a waitress take our order. They were not too busy. But they just come. ByeBye

I took my family here while we were waiting till it was time for a funeral. The waitress treated us like a burden. Said some comments that were unprofessional. It was sad.. it was $8.00 for a little bowl of soup..

The pepper gravy was good and the bacon was good, cold but good quality. Safe to say we will definitely never eat there again.

First off they often serve either very old or rotten meat to their customers, I received moldy bread with my breakfast and to make things even worse I personally saw one of there employees empty out a bucket of what I can only assume would be chemicals out back. Don't come here, bad for your health; stay safe

I’ve been here multiple times, mostly because my mom enjoys it, but unfortunately each visit has been a negative experience. The owner has served us every time and has consistently been rude and unwelcoming. I try to give people the benefit of the doubt, but this has happened on more than a few occasions. After our most recent visit, even my mom decided she’s done coming here because of how poorly we were treated. The owner comes across more like a disgruntled employee and seems to have a clear dislike for children dining in her restaurant, even when they are well behaved. The food is decent at best, but not nearly good enough to justify the service. If you choose to dine here, expect to feel like an inconvenience rather than a guest.
