Barba Beach Palomino Reviews
Really nice and tasty food! We had that veggie shawarma, tabula, hummus and babaganusch! Just the Babaganusch could have been a little more intense with more spices, otherwise it was fresh and great with reasonable prices!
This place was so good that we went two nights in a row to have their unreal Arabic food. The atmosphere is cute as heck, and the family that runs the restaurant is adorable, kind and happy. I think I am in love with how cute the dad is. Definitely a must go to if you are staying in Palomino!
Great spot for dinner. The falafel shawarmas were amazing!! The homemade garlic sauce was lovely and also vegan!
Great food, great value. Amazing humus! We had to order extra one it was so delicious. Staff is also very attentive. Maybe falafels were a bit too hard but this is just my preference, but it was very tasty. We ordered family vegetarian dish and was enough for 2 hungry people. Salads were very big and delicious. We will come back!
Best falafels we had in a long time! But also everything else was very delicious - we shared the family platter with meat & took some additional falafels. Would highly recommend 😊.
Amazingly delicious Lebanese food! My husband is Egyptian and this food brought me back to some Arabic dishes he cooks. Loved the staff, the food and the place. I highly recommend it!
When people say, these were the best falafel they've ever had, they are not lying!! We went there 3 times during our Palomino stay, the food is just so good. The best falafel for me, the dips are yummy, and the mango juice is also really good. Highly recommend the family vegetarian plate for two people, you will never look back. And I didn't even like falafel that much before, but it turns out, all others were lame in comparison. Friendly and quick service as well, if I could I would give 100 stars!
Very delicious authentic arabic food! One of the best food spots in Palomino. Attentive service, happy to answer questions about the local trabsport services.
Delicious food and great value. Two of us shared the ‘Mixed Special Plate’ and it was incredibly tasty as well as good value. The place is breezy and owners are really friendly too.
I had the falafel wrap here and it was delicious! If I’m right, it was also 18,000 COP so super reasonably priced!! Highly recommend
Our group visited 2 nights in a row we loved this place so much. Incredible food and service we could not find a fault if we tried. I will sorely miss this place on our travels!
Delicious falafel and shawarma! Excellent humus, garlic sauce, and other sauces. Both the kids enjoyed it! Plus a very friendly local owner that has Lebanese roots.
Sometimes you visit places where not only the food is amazing, but the people make the experience even better! The owners are so lovely I just wanted to be adopted by them 😂😍 But not only lovely, they were super good in their work and made sure we had everything we needed. We love Lebanese food so we were so happy that we could eat it here and wow… sooo good! Also the prices are very fair. We are definitely coming back.
Search no more, if you are looking for authentic yummy middle eastern food, this is the place! Starting with the owner super welcoming, helpful and friendly - as all the staff!! They import the spices, Tahina and other products directly from Lebanon 🇱🇧- so if you are a lover of middle eastern food as I am, you know this is a great sign of high quality food! I had the falafel platter and let me tell you, the flavors, the textures, the smells, the colors were beyond expected - this has been one of the best middle eastern food I have had in Colombia and in Latin America The falafel was packed with flavor and super crunchy, the Baba ghanoush had a perfect texture and the flavor was so delicious 👌🏾 the hummus as really gooood and the sweet bell pepper sauce wasss amazing!!! The Fattoush salad was well seasoned which is not easy to fine! And the maracumago juice was super tasty and refreshing!
I had the vegetarian falafel shawarma and was delicious. They told me that the garlic sauce and hummus are vegan which is great :) Service was nice and fast and the atmosphere was nice too. The falafels are moist and tasty, unlike other place I tried here in Palomino. Would definitely come back :)
My wrap came out very fast. Staff was friendly and the food was good!
Recommend this and would love to come back. Pretty legit Lebanese food in the Colombian countryside. Very reasonable pricing. Attentive service. Cash only. I'd avoid the fattoush though as it's basically a salad. Would have liked a bigger drinks selection. Had the kibbeh, mixed platter, fries, and a juice for COP57,000. The staff said they were surprised I finished all of it. Ha!
This local place serves some of the best falafel and dips I’ve ever had. We came back multiple times! Try their mango juice it is amazing.
The food was amazing - I got the mixed plate, all three dips were great! And the owner was so lovely - 100% recommend ! Also the mint lemonade was sensational
Delicious food, easily the best Middle Eastern food I’ve had in Latin America. As well as the best mint lemonade!! We had to come back two nights in a row. Excellent value and the owner is really nice too.
I had an amazing shawarma on the plate with salad and hummus. The place is lovely and the prices are super cheap. The family that runs the place is very friendly. If you are looking for delicious, cheap food go there!
Jaime (pronounced Haay-meh) imports products directly from Lebanon to make his delicious meals. Tried his mix plate and was dumbfounded by his delicious garlic sauce - I think he's using tapioca/cassava as a binding agent!? Well worth a try when needing a short break from the local (and very tasty!) empanadas and ceviches.
Amazing middle eastern food in Palomino. We (me and my girlfriend) ordered the Plato Mixto Especial it came with everything you would want for less than $10! The mango and passion fruit juice was amazing too!
Excellent food and excellent price. The flavors are correct for the type of food. Some of the best Arabic I've had in Colombia. I would gladly return

Came upon this place and saw the great reviews - they deserve every single one of them. Some of the best Arabic food we have ever had. The peppermint lemonade was divine, I want to have it every single day. Service was lovely and attentive, although a bit slow.
The food here is the most authentic Arabic cuisine I have had outside of the Middle East. It's absolutely delicious. The service was fast and attentive, with comfortable semi-outdoor seating. I would come back here over and over and over again
Best kippeh I ever had in my life and I am from the Middle East. These guys are legit. Lebanese-Colombian family operation too. Show them some love if your in palomino

It's all pretty good, although the shawarma platter has very little meat, I would definitely expect more.
This place got 4.7 in google maps. Very overrated in my opinion. But this place is OK. The service is rather slow, the food is average. The spread and falafel they have is good. The meat shawarma, bread isn't tasty in my opinion. The portions are rather small.
Food is okay. The shawarma is not real shawarma. Basically just chopped beef in a wrap. The hummus was decent but the pita was cold and tasted like cardboard. Another place there to take advantage of unsuspecting tourists.
Food was delicious and we utterly enjoyed what we ordered, the hospitality, the flavours and the prices. Unfortunately, I got severely indigested 5 hours later, so I have mixed feelings about it. Proceed with caution.

The food is good, but the owner had extrange behavior, we want to order some things and insist repeatedly to change the orders. Also took my swarma with after I was about to eat. My girlfriend want to eat tabule but he insist that se didn't know what to eat and start trying to force her to order a different thing. Was uncomfortable but food was really nice 👍

We had to wait over an hour and a half for some really bad fries and a very simpel falafel wrap. Really not anything special, not worth the wait..
Way overpriced, bad service Shwarma lacked flavor, meat overcooked and not seasoned, should cost 1/2 what is is We also had to wait over an hour and they didn’t check on us at all When our meal finally arrived they didn’t apologize for taking so long They give you a tiny amount of sauce I asked for more and they walked away to get sauce and completely forgot We had to walk into the kitchen to get their attention… Overall bad experience Better Shwarma for a better price closer to the beach For 15 mil you can get an entire seafood meal with soup and a drink at a local spot Here you pay 3x that and get less food and less flavor The restaurant looks nice, but the food prices and services is bad Probably nice people, but they need to learn to check in with their customers If they are too busy that means they need to hire more workers or simplify their menu so they can properly attend their costumers… waiting over an hour for a Shwarma is insane I wish I could go back in time and not order, I feel robbed and wish I didn’t pay

Not sure what to say. Honestly I never had such a bad and weird chicken shoarma. The chicken shoarma sat in a white sauce (not the typical sauce that you get, i.e. garlic) in the wrap, see photo. The taste was really bad. I don’t like to say that about any food but I was so frustrated by the poor quality of my meal. I took 2 bites and left it for what it was. Don’t understand the good reviews of this place. This is not shoarma guys (not sure what it was), so please don’t call it that!
