China Dragon Pampa Reviews
Foods great when it's fresh can get a little old when it's not it's busy times
Yummy buffet. They have several shrimp choices, which was great. The walnut shrimp was tasty. Everything else is great too.
Edit 6-15-24 Still very delicious food cozy atmosphere. Added a picture of my plate since I forgot last time Wonderful experience went early before the lunch rush. Food was hot and fresh. Great prices. Kid friendly. I look forward to coming during the dinner menu next time to see what else they have.
Great food, I saw a lot about plastic plates in the reviews, but they've never given me any. Always metal. The service is great, with plates being picked up before we even have 2 per person, and drinks fill nicely. Very affordable. Recommended.
I felt genuinely guilty when I paid. Two adults, buffet and drink, less than $20. Great service. Plates never stacked up, and glasses never went empty. Small buffet, so not a lot of selection, but EVERYTHING I ate was great. Will definitely go back.
Cute Chinese buffet in downtown pampa. The restaurant was clean and the air conditioning was definitely nice as these Texas summers become hotter and hotter. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was very calming and friendly. The food was decent I just wish they had a bigger sushi selection. There was only one variety when we went today. But it was still pretty tasty. My only complaints would be I wish that the food was a tad bit hotter. They were on the warming stations but most of the food seem to be lukewarm. Other than that I would definitely recommend this buffet especially for the price.
I have always loved China dragon, it has been my go to for YEARS. I'm not sure what has changed over the past few months but the food just isn't the same. The sweet n sour chicken is completely different (and not in a good way 😟) the peanut butter chicken looks lighter, just doesn't look the same I can't even try it. The food has an odd after taste...today the wontons were undercooked. They didn't have any crunch to them at all. They didn't even have my favorite dish on the buffet today (the little chicken pieces with jalapenos and veggies) not sure what its called. Its my absolute favorite. I hope they didn't permanently get rid of it. The broccoli in the chicken and broccoli tasted really off. PLEASE DON'T TRY TO FIX THINGS THAT DON'T NEED FIXIN, the old original recipes were perfect!
The food wasn’t all bad but I do recommend not making as much of the things people don’t eat. I feel bad a lot gets wasted but I suggest making more of the popular items and cleaning up the dessert section. Maybe fewer items but some good options you know? And it would be easier to keep the main items fresh cause they would get eaten and you can manage it better. Anyway the man watching over was great it was kinda rainy that day. I would say rearranging by the door would look better but just keep making good food and customers will come.
I am not sure why everything is getting changed. The changes are not good, i miss my china dragon how it used to be. Atleast half of the items in the buffet have changed over the past months. The original owners need to come back and show them how to cook the right way. Now, where am I going to get good chinese buffet??
Most disgusting place I’ve ever eaten. I watched the guy at the cash register set a 5 gallon bucket down and rinsed 10 rags out of it and Use them to wash the tables and the buffet. Then a girl come out of the kitchen and took one of those rags to scrubbed food off of her pants rinsed it in that bucket re-folded it and put it back up. Most disgusting place I’ve ever been hope no one ever eats their the place should be shut down.
Take out is amazing, always good, but how is your buffet food cold as soon as you open? And when mentioned, zero care given, no apologies. Disappointing
Food was luke warm and tasteless. I usually don't spit out food, but 5 items were inedible. BAD BAD BAD!
I repeated several times that I wanted to eat at a restaurant table. But the woman kept repeating the same thing: "Do you want it to go?" Finally, I couldn't stand the annoying and stupid questions, left without finishing my meal
The food was subpar like the rest of pampa. Food was cold and not fresh.
China dragon has been our favorite for years. They sold it not too long ago and It's not the same anymore. The food doesn't taste the same. I think the new owners should stay with the same recipes and products that kept china dragon as good as it was for so many years! The quality has really went down hill.
My husband I ate there today and there food was cold . I was afraid eat and get sick . I was hungry for sweet and sour chicken. I told my server about my complaint and he said he would take of it.
Went there at 5: 30 p.m. dinner time, the food is best served for the wild coyotes outside. Luke warm food. Everything tasted planned. Their specialty is peanut butter chicken, I have had wood softer than that. If you want to go there and have bad food or a drunken experience. Good luck!
My order was to go. This was the first and only time I will go there. The sweet and sour chicken was over done to the point of it disinigrating in my mouth. The sauce had no flavor. The pork fried rice had no vegetables in it, except for the big chunks of onion.
Be careful when ordering chicken fried rice. It’s not your Typical Chinese chicken fried rice it’s has no vegetables and it orange like Mexican rice and full of onions and dry. When you call and tell them this is not what you ordered. They are rude and say this is there Chinese chicken fried rice, but the fried rice they have on there buffet is completely different from what they offer. I will not order takeout from this place again.
