La Estrella Pasadena Reviews
I’ve been coming here for the last 18 years. It never disappoints. It does get busy, but I usually place my order before heading there. Their breakfast burritos are 🔥
I ordered a fish taco that was not only a great value but tasted incredible and felt generous enough to count as two. My partner chose an asada burrito and he could not stop calling it excellent. The team working here is genuinely kind and we were served right away without any waiting. I am already looking forward to coming back.
First time visitor and it was so good the first time I came back 48 hours later for lunch. DOES NOT DISAPPOINT. Service is amazing (and friendly). Great outdoor seating. And the food is easily Top 5 tacos/burritos I’ve ever had. And I eat a LOT of tacos and burritos. LOL. When I’m back in the area I will come here first. Gracias La Estrella 🤘❤️
A no frills taco spot with a small outdoor dining area. The tacos are delicious. My favorite meats are the pollo and al pastor. All the menu items are budget friendly. I've been here about a hundred times and I've never had a bad experience. This is one of the best taco spots in Pasadena. Its authentic street food style mexican food done right.
Fish 🌮 and Al Pastor tacos are my go to items. Al Pastor meat is done well and with a slight crisped caramelization that goes nicely with the lime and house made Salsa. Fish Tacos are perfectly battered fried fish strips versus a 'fish-patty'; more surface area for more crunch. Good sauce too. I always get the 'Mexican Coke' to wash it all down.
Good tacos, flavor good. Carne asada was better than carnitas. Unlike the beans as well. Service was quick. I really value is fair. Customer service was good as well.
A taco shack with outdoor seating. It was quite busy when we got there. Many tables got various tacos and they all looked delicious. We ordered three different burritos - carnitas, fish and California. Both carnitas and fish tasted good but they were spicy! They were big. I was full after eating half the burrito. It’s a great place for an affordable, delicious and quick meal.
Tacos are really good. What i like most is the amount of meat they put in the tacos, bery generous. Not the cheapest tacos.you can get but worth it. The staff are nice and thr place is one of a kind. No inside seating but there are benches in thr patio. Only thing is they only have two salsas available (red and green), no guac or any other sauces.
A very fair amount of beef on the asada burrito. Quick and friendly service when ordering. The salsa verde is not spicy and there's also avocado in the burrito just needed a little bit more cilantro. Day 2 This round, I had the 2 taco plate. Asada y pollo and gotta say I like chicken a little better but the asada wasn't bad. Liked the beans. Think I might try the red sauce next time from what I just read here. $6 meal
Ask for a container that had refried beans and rice. He even explained my order back to me, all I came home with was rice. so they definitely have some serious communication problems and it wasn't crowded at all. They don't serve you and it's not an attractive place at all , they simply take your order and call a number. I was put off that they ask for a tip if you're paying with a credit card . I got a burrito and rice $20 later and they got my order wrong. That's a solid C/3.!
Cali burrito and horchata were nothing special but decently priced. Seating was a bit dirty. Workers not super friendly/helpful but not mean either.
Not true to hours. Eventually stopped by and got some Asada fries…. While they weren’t terrible they had little flavor and were the least best I’ve ever had. It’s was like I was eating different textured lightly flavored water.
