Roi Siam Passaic Reviews
Delicious Thai food! Only ordered via delivery but everything was very flavorful and good portions. Loved the khao soi and tom kha the most. Great for vegetarians!
First off, this restaurant is ran by the cutest lady and man. They love what they do and serving good food. The food was phenomenal for its price and the right type of diversity UC needs. Drunken noodles 10/10, but I like my chewy and that’s what these were Curry 10/10, perfectly spicy, warm, and flavorful Cucumber salad was a great starter Mango sticky rice 10000/10. I think about it in my sleep. Perfect portion and just the right desert after a delicious meal.
The food is very delicious and the service is extraordinary.
Ive never written a review but I’ve been eating from this restaurant for about 7 years and the food has always been amazing. They’ve got a great variety of food, from spicy curries to delicious fried rice to great desserts. I always order or dine in with them and they’re such lovely folk. Overall recommend coming here for a quick pick up or a quick date to support your local restaurant!
I never dine in but I do takeout at least 2x a month. They are the nicest people and the food is banging. Especially for the price. Highly reccomend — great Thai spot
Don’t know why there are mixed reviews. I have been ordering here once a week for years. My favorite Thai place in the area. Always a great meal
I've ordered a variety of dishes from Roi Siam on maybe five occasions. Except one time, the food has been consistently quite good. Especially considering there are only a few options for Thai food in the immediate area. The prices are very reasonable. I don't know what people expect. Would you rather have no Thai restaurants unless you go into the city? Support your local restaurants
Great local gem. My favorite is their beef salad. Thai iced tea is not overly sweet and reasonably priced. Must try if you’re in the area.
My favorite Thai spot! I order from here at least once a week and am always happy. The green/ red/ panang curries are excellent.
Kinda confused about the mixed reviews tbh. I’ve been living in the JC/UC area for over 5 years now and the food is amazing every single time I’ve ordered. Not been disappointed ever. My favorite are the green curry noodles, but the curry puffs, fish cakes, the drunken noodles, are all fantastic!
The food here is amazing!! And the service is one of the best I’ve ever had. I wish the restaurant was in a more convenient location so I could take more of my friends here. I tried their massaman curry, thai iced tea, and mango sticky rice dessert. Everything tasted amazing! Highly recommend!
This was a truly inspired menu. I had the yellow curry with duck. The duck was crispy on the outside, slices thick and very juicy, the veggies we're cooked but firm. My wife had the fresh ginger salmon, it was crispy and yet rare, the veggies were all cut fancy. With both dishes, we were blown away. We started with a couple of appetizers. Spring rolls and these curry potato thingies. I believe they were all house made and they were delicious. The decor is low-key. I mean, zero, 0, nada decorations. The server was awesome, so we're the other employees. I expect we will be back soon.
It is rare to see a Thai place in a Hispánica area and it is rare to be sooooooooooo goooooooooood Thai in the area. I've ordered some stuff(and will for sure) and it is a authentic Thai taste I have experienced for a long time. I've been to Thailand and to many restaurants in the city but this place is REAL. Cook with real Thai spices and taste, flavor, smell and even the service is amazing. If your in the area you have to stop by. You can trust me cause I am a mad foody and if it didn't taste well I get very mad. I barely leave comments also so when I do it means it's special. Must tray the curries. Which one? Anything or everything. Oh and if it's too spicy for you? Order the Thai ice tea. Man that ice tea is the best Thai ice tea I ever tasted before. (Same comment on yelp I did. This means I left two comments that usually don’t leave. Which mean it is a must go place if your in the area)
I had a doordash credit expiring so we decided to order for delivery from here one night. It looked pretty promising since it had 4.5 stars on Yelp. Unfortunately, the food was not good. We started with the Chicken Dumplings. The description mentioned 'Steamed stuffed chicken, served with soy ginger sauce'. I think it is not unreasonable for us to believe there were steamed dumplings. Instead, they were fried to the point where there dumpling skin was super dry, and it was super oily overall. I also had a tom yum soup since I was in a soupy mood. It was way too spicy, and salty. That's pretty much all I tasted. For the mains, I had the pad see ew. The noodles were not bad. But I love flat rice noodles so it would take a lot for me not to like it. However, the chicken I had ordered it with was so overcooked and dry. My fiancé had the Kao Pad Roi Fried Rice (Thai style fried rice with egg, chicken, pork, Chinese sausage, scallions, onions and tomatoes). I didn't find any pork in there but the chicken was the same situation - dry AF. It was also pretty bland overall. They could have taken some salt from the tom yum and added it here instead. Not sure if it really would have helped though. Definitely will not be ordering from here again.
used to order from here but this time I had one bite of everything I ordered and threw it all in the trash. the summer rolls came with some creepy sauce that was NOT peanut sauce. the pineapple fried rice had enormous chunks of pineapple and virtually no seasoning or flavor of any sorts. the chicken on top tasted like it was cooked last week. everything just sucked the quality is not it, such a waste
The food was not only super oily, but it also tasted super bad. I ordered Pad See Ew and I regret it. The shrimp was over-cooked and rubbery and the noodles were super thick. Not only that the food had a nasty after taste which made me so disgusted. I'm will not eat here again
The food is not good at all. Forget tasty, everything is soaked in oil from spring rolls to drunken noodles to even soup. I have never had such bad Thai food ever. There are much better places around, give yourself and your health a break from this restaurant.
After several orders here, this is the last time. Never consistent on quality. I ordered a large Tom Kha Gai soup, sticky rice, and spring rolls. The rice was fine. The spring rolls were inedible due to the amount of oil soaked in them. The soup- first off, this is the not authentic Tom Kha.The soup was curdled and smelled absolutely foul which I’m assuming was from the chicken that also had a really strange colour as you can see. Appears to be “fresh” chicken with old chicken. It went straight into the trash.
