My favorite restaurant in Patzcuaro Michoacán Mexico. Located in the central square and close to everything downtown. The food is a mixture of traditional Michoacano foods and international cuisine. The staff is amazing and the chef is excellent! The atmosphere is casual, upscale, and calm.

The food we order has great flavor. All waiters were wearing face mask I guess as precaution. The service was excellent 👌. This is a great place to rest and also have a cup of unique coffee which they also sell.

Very good restaurant on the main plaza in Pátzcuaro. Although visited by many tourists this is not a "tourist trap". The service and food are great, and the prices very fair with good portion size.

We stopped at this restaurant by chance, knowing nothing much about it. What a surprise!! Our server was amazing considering our poor abilities to speak Spanish and his somewhat limited ability in English. His recommendations for dinner items was perfect. The food was delicious. Our drinks were great. The coffee and desert (carrot cake) was a great finish to a very enjoyable evening on our very first day in Patzcuaro Mexico 🇲🇽

Inside the restaurant is classic colonial architecture with a rich ambiance. Outside on the sidewalk sitting under the arcade overlooking the plaza is just perfect. We tried their Michoacán specialties and enjoyed the exploration. Service is relaxed so don't expect to be in a fast food environment but the staff are cheerful and attentive. No credit cards! Highly recommend a visit.

Quick service, nice ambience, great location, tasty food, good portion size and not too expensive. Despite being vegetarian, we found adequate choice of sopa tarasca, corunda con raja y queso and spaghetti. The lemonade was fantastic as well. Greatly appreciate that all waiters wear mask, face shield and gloves. Clean toilets. Cash only.

The location is great and the selection of drinks is even better anywhere from coffee and chocolate to tequila and charanda. You can also find traditional food and desserts. Stop for a coffee or a drink and a cigar right at the edge of the Plaza. The price is right but the place gets crowded and service can take a bit long.

A perfect and delightful breakfast at the historic La Surtidora (desde 1916!) on the main plaza. We enjoyed an ample and tasty meal on our two day visit to Pátzcuaro. Their coffee is outstanding.

In the distant past, La Surtidora used to be a little food store. For this reason, at the walls there are still shelves with items of food. La Surtidora, used to sell good quality home made cheese cakes. This is no longer the case. It seems that the cakes are from COSTCO in Morelia. On average, the quality of food is fine. Usually, my wife and I drink a hot chocolate in this place. Also, the "Molletes" are good in this place. In addition, in the past, we used to buy good quality honey. On the other hand, recently we bought a jar of "honey, which is clearly a fake of the type that is sold in the streets around here. It tastes totally artificial. I do not think that it contains any honey. So, I would suggest not to buy honey in this place, nor from the dealers that walk around in the streets around here.

Stopped here for a snack, which was delicious. The experience was marred by the waiter trying to hang onto a 33% tip rather than bring change. It was amazing value compared to elsewhere we’ve travelled in Mexico so far but I thought that was taking the mick. I had to ask for change and then get him to split a note so I could leave a sensible tip.

I understand it’s the day of the dead celebration(busiest time of the year), but when you don’t have any of the sides that you offer with a dish, guacamole, beans or potatoes anywhere in Mexico, it’s very disappointing. Plus they didn’t offer any decent substitutes, they wanted to charge for everything. Service was very slow, a glass of water took forever to get. I blame owners and management for not being prepared and not ordering a little extra inventory for these busy times. Plus the bartenders were not the best. A note to restaurants, invest on a bus boy, have them always serve water and put utensils out for every person as soon as they sit down.

Food wasn’t bad but not great. What got to me about this place was that when I ordered a cheese board that was supposed to have 4 cheeses it only came with two kinds and they didn’t let me know they didn’t have the other two kinds. They replaced it with the same kind of what they had. When I pointed it to the server he said that’s what they do when they don’t have it. Letting me know would’ve been nice and common sense.

Great for a to-go. Horrible for dine in. Went in to ask for a table, its self seating. After sitting down it took them 30-45min to get our order in. Only after our server got orders for table that sat down later than us. Food took another 45min to come and it was one plate at a time. There was 6 in our party. Last plate came after everyone had finished eating. I ordered the pasta, pasta was so undercooked. Some areas were crunchy from been raw. Will not be back for dine in. Maybe for a to-go cappuccino.
