Caffè Delizia Pavia Reviews
Delicious pastries
This place could be my fav coffee place in Pavia! In the same store, they also have their own pasticceria, so, all of the desserts they offer are quite fresh! We especially love their cornetto al pistachio, the butter taste and the crunchy structure are just amazing! The personnel is also very friendly and fast, definitely my top place in the center of Pavia!
Very friendly staff, Good caffee and products. Also good for small breaks, to have an aperitivo. Tasted croissant with pistachio cream inside, it was delicious.
We had a great breakfast here. The coffee was delicious with good equipment and the pastries were fantastic.
Amazing Bar 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Favourite cosy place with the best snacks and coffee in Pavia 😊
Esperienza top! Il filetto di scamone con patate e guacamole era spettacolare si scioglieva in bocca.. abbinamento perfetto, lo consiglio… e il risotto al radicchio e gorgonzola buonissimo, squisito…
Take a break!
Despite having frequented Pavia several times, I'd missed the opportunity to try this place for many months. And I must say, even though I've only had a glimpse of its potential, I'm already quite satisfied with the experience. Both the ground-floor and first-floor seating are lovely. I really appreciate the spaciousness of this type of space. The staff member was incredibly kind throughout our visit, and the Bacio di Dama was fresh and flaky, a significant detail, given that biscuits often get overlooked in pastry shops and cafes. And seeing the dessert counter, I can't wait to return in the morning to delight both my taste buds and my eyes. With croissants, mini pastries, and single-serving treats, there's truly an embarrassment of choice. I'll definitely be back.
large choice of vegan and vegetarian food.. great!
Friendly and helpful staff, no complaints. The croissants are good, and while the prices aren't exactly cheap, the quality is worth the expense. The staff and pastry shop would easily deserve 5 stars, were it not for the constant and intrusive presence of the owner, a true saboteur of the atmosphere. Often stationed at the cash register and sometimes lingering among the tables as a waiter, he embodies a disarming rudeness: customers are only interested to the extent that they open their wallets. His demeanor is annoyingly arrogant, and a smile, even a polite one, is clearly not part of his repertoire. The bill deserves a special mention, especially if you dare order something outside the orthodox coffee and croissant combo. An example? Two toasted ham and fontina cheese sandwiches—rather modestly sized, by the way—for €14. And woe betide anyone who even raises an eyebrow to verify the accuracy of the bill: the receipt is literally shoved under your nose, accompanied by the owner's look, which seems to clearly tell you that you're committing a personal affront, as if asking for explanations were an act of miserable audacity. A real shame: an excellent establishment that manages to be remembered not for its quality, but for the rudeness of its owners.
The owner was very rude and dismissed my vegetarianism when I asked for a vegetarian appetizer. The appetizer arrived with only grilled vegetables, two small, stale slices of pizza, a small Russian salad, a mini slice of melon, and a piece of cheese. The price, including a Coke, was €15. They were definitely profiteers. Neither the food nor the lack of courtesy from the staff, especially the owner, were worth the price. We're in Pavia, not Milan. These prices for such a cosmic nothingness are outrageous.
I went with colleagues for lunch for a sandwich. There were six of us. We ordered four sandwiches and two risottos, specifically asking if the risottos would be long. They only had an hour's break, otherwise they would have paid for the sandwiches too. The very snobbish waitress told us it was no problem and pointed out that for the sandwiches, we could opt for piadina instead of ciabatta. After 40 minutes of haste, only three sandwiches (ciabatta bread, no piadina) and a cold risotto finally arrived. The reason was unclear. Two colleagues left, paying for the water, and we received two sandwiches made of stale bread, revived by spreading oil on them, and one of them just tasted the risotto. I should point out that other customers who arrived after us were served first; perhaps he didn't like us. The owner came to our table and simply said as we were getting up: "Don't eat." Sometimes it doesn't take much, perhaps just an apology for the inconvenience. I won't be returning. Thanks.
