Every time, it's a treat: exceptional food, attentive service, and a beautiful venue. The ingredients are top-quality, and the chefs know how to master them. I think their ravioli are the best I've ever tasted—they're addictive! Having been there so many times, we've tried several dishes, all delicious and with truly authentic flavors.

They make tuna belly here, which is very good. I called to order it, but it's only available when they cut a whole fresh tuna. For two, we spent €97, a fair price. Recommended 👍

We've been going there for 5 years now. It's the best in the area, and the food is truly excellent! The atmosphere is in keeping with Japanese culture and is clean. Highly recommended! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

What can I say? Everything is beautiful and the food is excellent. A rather elegant place with decor that instantly transports you to Japan. It's very clean (even the restrooms are spotless), and the staff is smiling and discreet, yet always attentive. The ingredients are top-quality (the salmon, for example, is hard to see the strand of fat between the muscle fibers). The sashimi cuts are textbook-sized. The rice is cooked to perfection.

Hanami is absolutely one of the best sushi places in Pavia. Being à la carte, the quality is evident in every bite; the fish is fresh, the combinations interesting; it's an experience. Yes, it's expensive, but every euro is worth it. I highly recommend it.

I really like this shop because I can guarantee high-quality sushi. It's understandable that the owner is a gourmet who calmly studies the cuisine. This is a shop that respects food.

This Japanese restaurant has a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, with friendly service that immediately makes you feel at ease. The menu offers many options, including vegetarian options (or with the option of making them vegetarian). The dishes are light, tasty, and carefully prepared. The menu is very interesting and innovative, offering a selection that comes very close to authentic Japanese cuisine.

If you want to eat Japanese food in Pavia, the place to go is Hanami. A little corner of Japan in the Po Valley. Quality ingredients. Original dishes. A unique atmosphere with oriental touches. The staff is always friendly and attentive to your requests. In short, the TOP.

Elegant, clean, and fresh quality! Even if you don't know what to get, they'll give you great advice! I'd go with my eyes closed.

Excellent quality ingredients. The à la carte menu offers a mix of tradition and innovation. The atmosphere is very relaxed, and the staff is attentive and friendly. A great place to enjoy Japanese cuisine in Pavia, away from the usual all-you-can-eat options. The quality/price ratio is excellent.

Excellent traditional sushi bar. Very good and fresh fish. I was even surprised by the soy sauce, wasabi, and miso soup, which didn't taste like 99% of sushi restaurants.

The first time we went with my partner, we weren't thrilled. We tried again and had a very different experience. The selection is good: in addition to the usual tuna and salmon, they also offer amberjack, sea bream, tuna belly, shrimp, scampi, and more. The sake is also good. The price is fair.

We returned to this restaurant, which has been in the city for years, after a long absence. As always, the menu is à la carte. We opted to dine at the counter. Despite the quality of the food and the courtesy of the staff, we immediately noticed a strong fishy odor mixed with stagnant water. Perhaps it was due to the fact that we were at the counter, facing the display refrigerator with its air circulation fan, but the unpleasant odor persisted throughout the dinner. In fact, we skipped dessert to leave early, something we'd never experienced before despite having dined in the same location. Perhaps it would be worth the staff trying to sit in the same spot and determine the problem.

I wanted to try this restaurant for a change from the usual all-you-can-eat options. I expected a huge difference in quality. Indeed, the fish was obviously very fresh, the colors and flavors spoke volumes... but everything else was nothing special. The service took incredibly long. Almost two and a half hours for seven courses, and the appetizers were the last thing to arrive... the price was too high for what we ate: €80 for two for all-you-can-eat portions, not a restaurant-style meal, with only one bottle of water for the entire dinner, no dessert or coffee; otherwise, we would have ended up paying €100.

The slightly dated restaurant exudes the spirit of traditional Japanese restaurants. It's a shame the food and menu aren't up to par with what I've read in other reviews. For an à la carte menu, the quality is decidedly below expectations, on par with or below a good all-you-can-eat restaurant. If the restaurant wants to stand out from the many sushi-Chinese-fusion options, it needs to offer more. Even the green tea isn't up to par. If this is the best sushi in Pavia...

- Quality of the ingredients Poor considering it's not an all-you-can-eat restaurant but an à la carte sushi bar. - Service and staff Slow, sloppy, and many waitresses barely understand Italian, making communication borderline impossible. - Bill Excessive, to say the least, with a side note I'll discuss in the conclusion. - Final conclusions Reputedly the best in Pavia, but in reality, it's on par with any all-you-can-eat restaurant, except that here you pay à la carte. The katsu-don had a RAW egg; you can only see part of it in the photo, but I was so nervous about the long wait and then being served that mess that I took the photo in a hurry and then left the restaurant as quickly as possible. Furthermore, when it came time to pay, the owner, perhaps by mistake and not necessarily maliciously (let's give her the benefit of the doubt), was about to charge me 44 euros for a cover charge instead of 4. Fortunately, I noticed and avoided insult to injury. Never again, I absolutely do not recommend this place, avoided at all costs!
