Caffe Regatta Pelham Reviews
The seafood spaghetti was amazing. My boyfriend had the pork chop. Also amazing. This place never disappoints! Staff are friendly and attentive. Will keep coming here!
Great restaurant, great ambiance and fantastic food. The salmon was delectable, every morsel was pure heaven. I really enjoyed my visit! Will definitely do another night out at this place !
My food was amazing. Top off to the Chef. The mussels in lobster sauce were spectacular. The Staff is pleasant. I will be returning to taste the rest of the food on the menu.
What a great little spot. Cozy and charming. The food was excellent and so was the service. 1st time there but we ll be back. Try the spring and vegetable spring rolls delicious and the house cabernet crisp and delicious. Looking forward to going back give a shot will not disappoint you.
Went here for the first time for my bday dinner. I am not from Pelham either so I really had no idea what to expect besides seafood. I ordered the clam dish, because I love clams, it was delicious!!! Nice portion size, bit pricey on drinks, but the ambience is nice for a small venue as well. The location makes it a bit difficult since its a small place, but it is a hidden gem!
Me and 5 of my good friends came here to dine. We hadn't seen each other in a year due to the pandemic. I visited this place in 2019 and had a great time. Suggested Caffe Regatta to the group and they agreed they would come. We had the best time ever. Vincent served us like we were kings and queens. He did everything to make our visit great. The food was great and the ambience was wonderful. We are definitely coming back and we hope Vincent will be there. Sidebar, Vincent's mom makes the best strawberry cupcakes. A++++++++++++
Went here for Father's Day brunch. Great service and fabulous food. I had the lobster eggs benedict. So delish! There were also mussels served to perfection. Plentiful portions and reasonably priced.
I've been to Caffe Regatta 5 times so far and have never had anything but an amazing experience. All the food has been very well prepared and delicious, with my favorites being the flatbread the pork chop, but the calamari, crab cakes, cod, and salmon also being amazing. The wait staff is probably my favorite aspect of the restaurant. Vincent (has a shaved head) brings so much life to the meal, has never steered me or anyone that was with me wrong with a recommendation, and never leaves you waiting for more than a few seconds. Louis (I think) is also incredible never leaving your glass empty or the table littered in plates; I don't think I've ever seen him not doing work. I also don't agree with any of the reviews about people with Groupons. Every time I have been here it has been with a Groupon, and I was never looked down on or treated any differently than anybody else. Overall, great experience, and I can't recommend it enough.
Celebrated my 31 wedding anniversary and we loved everything the wine appetizers fig and mozzarella, arugula salad with roasted pears, seafood pasta was delicious and the hangar steak was so tender. Dessert tiramisu my fav. And the price was very reasonable. I really enjoyed it!
Food was great I had the steak and eggs with fries and a salad. It was delicious and cooked perfect. My wife and inkaws had different plates with no complaints. Service was good, waitress was very polite.
My birthday dinner was absolutely stupendous! The oysters were top notch and the appetizers stole the show!!! We totally loved their service, menu and atmosphere.
Caffe regatta has never seized to satisfy me with brunch menu items and the relaxing atmosphere. Steak Tagliata might sound a little too heavy for brunch but it’s my favorite dish. The meat is juicy and the sauce is a little sour as it made of balsamic. It’s also good to pair with wine. They have wide range of wine list from moderate to high price but most favorite is from Chile. Besides food, the reason I keep coming back is friendly staff.
Server was incredibly attentive and the food was delectable! Came with a Groupon deal and it’s such a value. I recommend making a reservation directly with them and mention the Groupon deal. You’ll get the same deal but they won’t have to pay Groupon high fees. Support local business :)
4th time dining at this cozy place in the last 4 years. I visit from Florida once a year and have now made this a dinner tradition with my wife and sister. It gets better every time, staff is always pleasant.
Wonderful food, staff and atmosphere. My favorite is the salmon entree and also love the chilled lobster to start. They also have a wonderful brunch on Sunday.
I love Oysters....I was invited to lunch here by my co-worker. The restaurant is beautiful and very posh. The service staff was warm and friendly. Our waiter was handsome and very attentive. The prices are very reasonable, the oysters are fresh and delicious.. I cant wait to enjoy and indulge in a lovely fining experience at Caffe Regatta.
Bought a groupon to try it out, and was pleasantly impressed with the food. The clams and lobster app was amazing. My husband ordered the sirloin, which was perfectly seasoned and cooked, like it came out of any top notch steak house. Also a bonus that their outside seating is dog friendly. The staff were all very attentive and accommodating.
Great food and great service. Only 1 complaint. The lights are so low no one at my table could see. The food taste is wonderful but visual presentation is very important and if you cannot see your meal it takes away from that. I do suggest this place either way and my wife and I will return.
We came here specifically for the oysters and I have to say I was severely disappointed. We are not experts but these lacked on many levels. The food was outstanding though and our waiter Vinny was damn dope. He was energetic and even help suggest a better wine pairing for our meal.
Stopped in for Sunday brunch with family. We made a reservation, but it wasn't necessary. The space is bright and comfortable. The service and food was impeccable. Staff went out of their way for my little boy and we all were so grateful. French toast, pancakes, and smoked salmon eggs Benedict were amazing. The Flatbread Delicata was perfect. Loved my peach bellini-tinis too 😉 Thanks for the great morning!
Best lobster bisque we've ever had. Was so good we ordered 2 more portions to go. My scallop dish was awesome as was my wife's king crab legs. The only minor let down were the expensive but tiny and not great oysters. Decent mid-markup wine list as well. We will be back as that lobsta' bisque was crazy delicious!
We've been for brunch a couple of times now and both times have been a fantastic experience. I would love to say we tried many foods, but the food was so good the first time we were there we ordered exactly the same things again. My wife had the lobster benedict and I had the French toast....both of which were just as good the second time around. I also have to comment on the service...every single waiter there is friendly, knowledgeable, attentive and engaged, much more so than many restaurants I have been to. Fully recommended.
Came here for my anniversary dinner. This was the perfect atmosphere. The food is excellent and the portions were just right. The salmon my husband had was comes to perfection. Will come back. The service was also top-notched.
I really loved this eatery. Only gone for lunch. Prices are very reasonable and the food is deliciously prepared and tasty. Service was excellent. It is also easy to park car on street nearby.. Lobster roll is huge and delicious. Must like Mayo to like this. Enough for a main course with salad. The crab cake is also very tasty. My main course was lamb chop -lolly pop style. I had also the sea food pasta special, lobster shrimp and scallops. Caffe regatta is sort of an old school special place with modes priced food items, excellent selection of items and great service. The restaurant is little small but always busy. So don't make reservation beforehand. A great eatery indeed.
Loved it here. Seafood tasted amazingly fresh. For the entree, I ordered the sea scallops and it came with fingerling potatoes and sauteed spinach. The presentation was elegant and the food tasted even more amazing. Basically, the food, ambiance and service were top notch. Next time I come to New York, I will definitely be visiting this place again. Recommending this to all my friends who will visit NY.
We came here for brunch and the food was amazing. We started off with the pan-fried crab cakes for an appetizer. For our main meal, I had the Lobster Benedict with sautéed spinach, and my husband had the Steak and eggs with a salad. We sipped Mimosa’s and enjoyed the lovely ambiance. It was all so amazing. The presentation was beautiful, the food delicious, and the service was friendly, fun, and attentive. The ambience is elegant and cozy with a light touch of the nautical. We went back two nights later to try out the Oyster bar. It did not disappoint. We got one of the Shellfish towers built of lobster, shrimp, and Alaskan King crab legs. The presentation was stunning and the food cooked to perfection. We had a wonderful meal with a delicious chardonnay recommended by our waiter. It turns out it’s a local wine by Channing Daughters in Long Island. We’re from California and love California wines, but this chardonnay topped off our meal with perfection. Highly recommend it.
Awesome date night at Caffe Regatta's impeccable service with dedicated and smiling waitress that made great suggestions. I had a delicious Roasted Red Beets salad with Oysters that we shared with my date, with a yummy entree of Crab Crusted Atlantic Cod, served with potatoes!! My date has the lobster, which looked delicious as well. It’s a great restaurant: delicious food, good staff, topped with a great ambiance! Our waitress also recommended brunches which we’ll try for sure, next time. I highly recommend it, for a family dinner or date night, or a night out with your friends!!
Phenomenal as always! Seafood platter could be a meal on its own but that was just the start. Seafood pasta was delicious. Semi fredo was the cherry on top. And yes doggie bag came home. Staff is awesome. If you go once you'll Definitely return.
Traveling from Arizona on our way to Connecticut, we were so blessed to find this restaurant. We were the last table of the night but the service we received was great and we did not feel rushed in any way. The calamari appetizer was top five of my entire life as was the crab cake appetizer. They were both simply amazing and absolutely delicious. I have had both of those dishes for over 40 years up and down the East Coast as well as out West. I will literally go back to that restaurant for those two appetizers the very next time I'm back East. The pasta and fish entrees were very good and the creme brulee was perfect. Our server, I believe his name was John made the perfect redirection suggestion at the perfect time. I definitely recommend this restaurant!
Delicious, a little expensive but not outrageous. My wife and I went here for dinner and enjoyed every bite of our seafood- the bill came to just around $100 (plus tax and tip), which is a decent price for 2 lobsters, wine, other drinks and a starter for each of us. The waiter and busboy were both very nice and attentive, even though we were the last customers there. The only minor complaints I may have were that the lobster bisque was a little salty, and my wife noted that her mussels could have been seasoned a little more (I'm keeping the rating 5 stars because these issues were so minor). We were there about 2 hours and at times the wait for our food seemed long, but that's not a big deal when you're there with people you like spending time with. Overall, an enjoyable experience, and my wife is already making plans to bring our daughter there if her report card is good!
This was honestly one of the best dining experiences I have had and certainly the best I have had in a long time. Everything we ate was wonderful. We started with the muscle and lobster appetizer and had Halibut and Salmon entrees. The flavors were spot on. We ended with a pecan cheesecake that was so light and delicious. The service was excellent. The only disappointment was the restaurant wasn't full so others could share in the exquisite food.
Our dinner couldn't have been better. The food was delicious and served promptly. We both came home with enough food for our dinners tomorrow. Our server Vincent was absolutely the best. He was very attentive and extremely personable. We will be going back soon.
I have eaten here many times.. sometimes with my husband, a girls night, or as a family. I have never been disappointed. The menu has a large selection of standard offerings as well as Caffe Regatta signature items. The food is always scrumptious. I have never had a dish I didn't life, or walked away hungry or unsatisfied. The staff is friendly and attentive, but not overbearing. I love their brunch as well as their dinner menu, they have a good wine list and the bartender seems to be able to make any drink I request... and of course the raw bar. Don't think you could ask for anything more... oh you want to sit outside? They offer that as well!
Great dinner - Friday evening. We've been at this restaurant for a decade or longer - always great food at good value. This evening we had Yellow-fin tartar, crispy calamari, crab cakes, great entrees, very good wine and deserts. Service was tops too -definitely we'll come back again.
My husband and I were visiting friends in White Plains. Our friends suggested we try Caffe Regatta one evening for dinner. All we can say is we may go back to visit them just to go to Caffe Regatta again! To begin, we had a reservation, and we arrived about 15 minutes early. We were seated right away, which was wonderful! Our server came up to our table within 5 minutes of being seated to get our drink orders and give us the specials. And she was really on top of things throughout the evening. I am a bit of a pain when it comes to ordering (I never order as is on the menu), but she really didn't miss a beat! Anyway, We ordered the calamari and the Yellow Fin Tuna Tar Tar as appetizers for the table, which were phenomenal! I then ordered the sea scallops without the olives or capers. Our food was delivered quickly, without overlapping our appetizers or salads and soup, and hot. Everything was wonderful! It was almost more enjoyable than the company!
I came here with my family and was pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere. It felt very elegant here and it definitely deserves 5 stars. Trevor (I believe that’s his name) was so funny in a professional way. I appreciate all the staff and the food was amazing.
I've been here twice and twice it's been an extraordinary experience. The food and service has been excellent. The ambience is cozy and romantic. Although I couldn't have wine last night due to my current health status, I did have exquisite wine when I went previously. They are patient and try to comply as much as they can with special diet requests. I highly recommend Caffe Regatta.
Very delicious food, cozy ambiance and attentive service. Would come back here to eat again.
We love this place. The service is fantastic. We've been coming here for probably 10 years and the service and food are consistently great. Our favorite appetizers are fried calamari and flat bread. Pork chop is amazing. If you go for brunch, lobster Benedict is perfect. Everything we ever ordered was perfect.
I live down the street from this place and have gone here for a few meals with the family, date night drinks with my wife and so on. I’ve said to people in Pelham that the best burger in town is at Caffe Regatta (see pic). Love that one of the owners is the chef and has done a great job. We went here last night to celebrate my wife’s birthday and while it has been about a year since we last sat down for a meal, we were quickly reminded on how good it is! We ordered a lot - three apps and each of us having a main. It was impressive to see the owner by himself in the kitchen crank these dishes out for us. The staff is very friendly and highly attentive. Very lucky to have a place where we can walk 30 seconds for some really good food! We will continue to eat here and tell others about this local establishment.
Absolutely one of the best restaurants in Westchester. Chef Anthony and his wife Monique own and operate the restaurant and you couldn’t ask for a more friendly, welcoming & generous couple of people - not to mention the staff John and Vinny who are a total riot and are always super welcoming. The fresh seafood selection alone is worth coming for, but then there are the steak and chicken dishes, fish entrees, pastas, and pizzas that are all outstanding. Brunch is a must-try too… lobster benedict. Standouts are the seafood towers, live lobster, shrimp scampi, steak tagliata, chicken saltimbocca - and whatever is on the specials menu is always worth trying. Lamb lollipops, lobster tail pasta, polenta with roasted chestnuts, osso buco… Even the desserts are spectacular. Highly highly HIGHLY recommended - you will be a regular before you know it.
Me and my GF have been looking for a nice restaurant that sells oysters, let me tell you this place did not disappoint. Seafood was amazing and the staff was even better. Nice beautiful intimate restaurant located in pelham where the seafood was the best I have had in a while. The lighting the food and the drinks were amazing. Def my go to oyster spot moving forward and prices in my opinion were great for what you are getting. Quality seafood!!! Def a must try for a nice date
A wonder neighborhood restaurant that continues to provide delicious food, nicely prepared, reasonably priced. Our server, Jessie, is knowledgeable and efficient. The owner is there (labriola) to ensure high standards. My wife and I have dined there many times over the years and never disappointed. We had the steak which was prepared just right and enough left over for the next day. The Malbec wine is superb. I encourage everyone to make a reservation and help support a local business that truly contributes to the community. Everything we have eaten there has been delicious. The pics are crab cakes and spinach salad w pear, goat cheese and more. It’s just minutes off the Hutchinson River Parkway. Sam Marcus
Fun Valentine's Day menu. Bummed by small print that prevented us from using Groupon. Enjoyed the meal and will come again. Swordfish was good. Seafood pasta also yum. Disappointed they had no seafood/lobster/bisque/chowder options. Staff was a little underattentive. Ambiance cozy and welcoming. Will go again!
Food was great but rather small portions. Definately not family size portions. Wine was good but again, you get exactly a poured amount that is pre-measured in a small carafe. Nice restaurant and I do recommend it but keep in mind it's expensive.
The food was excellent like always. maybe it was me, I thought the. Person that was helping me with my takeout order was a little cold. but sometimes we expect to much. the steak was very good just next time put onion rings in a separate container. they was all soggy.
Nice ambience for both dinner and brunch. Great fish dishes. Friend loved the chicken parm entree at lunch. Flat bread with prosciutto and figs was excellent. Margherita pizza was just okay. Fried calamari wasn't great -- not crispy enough and a surprisingly small portion. EDIT: Overall, we've enjoyed multiple dining experiences but come knowing service isn't always super attentive and can be slow at times.
Amazing food . Definitely a local neighborhood place when you arrive. I did feel slightly out of place as service wasn't as active as other guest gotten. But overall it was good. I've been there 4 times so far. (Same feel but still good food )
Went there for Brunch few times. It was very enjoyable place for Sunday. I love their breakfast and my first choice will remain the Steak and eggs, which remind of the old Dinner style they had on Main Street. Sunny side up eggs, medium well steak, and a nice Sunday late morning. Reading the reviews here make me wonder what happened to the people who visited and didn’t like it. For me it is one of the preferred spots.
We decided to come here for date night dinner. We were seated promptly. The staff was friendly and helpful with the menu recommendations. We decided to share our dishes and there was enough food for two people. The food was tasty and fresh. The dessert was like heaven melting in your mouth. We had a nice time here and I recommend it to those who are looking for a seafood restaurant with an Italian flair.
Some of the food was good but some of it was horrible. The hanger steak was as chewy as a bathroom slipper, if you know what I mean. Had to throw it out. I won't be coming back.
I decided to take my mother here for Mother’s Day. I should have stuck to my gut and driven in to the city because the food was lack luster and the table placement was disastrous. I understand that their trying to make the most of a small establishment but our table was in an inconvenient location. I ordered the seafood spaghetti which lacked flavor and my mom had the pan seared scallops and crab risotto. The presentation was the opposite of the taste. It was eye catching but bland. To top it off they don’t give refills but give you a kids portion of soda in every cup. Highly disappointed. I’m sure this restaurant will continue to be successful because mediocrity is acceptable in the suburbs.
Closed on Saturdays. Food is great. Service is okay.
I have to say this was one of the best deals I've every received. Not only was the food decent, but the service was better than some high priced restaurant I've dined in. We paid $20.00 for the Groupon, then $7.75 for the 2 drinks, appetizer, and 2 entrees. If You're on a budget, I recommend this for dinning.
Food was good; portions not so much.. 4 scallops? 4 fingerling potato slices? 4 pieces of asparagus? =$26 + tax... Had to ask for bread. And olive oil... Can't split check? Just a little weird..
The atmosphere is great has nice decor. I think attention to detail is bringing its potential. First the paper on top of table was cut without good finish.(attention to details atd), then we ordered Burrata, it tasted good but it was drier and a piece of bread on s side could have made it better. Egg Benedict the Hollandaise sauce was rather scrammed eggs and bacon was cut so thick with sloppy cut again atd. I think they need to change the chef. I ordered steak and it was horrible 🤐 Again, the place has big potential if put just a little bit effort, it can be fabulous
The restaurant is located in a great location and they have a few tables out front which we sat in on a lovely summer evening. Unfortunately the food was not great. We had oysters, a beet salad, crab cakes, and the shrimp scampi. The oysters were small and not as fresh as it could be, the beet salad and crab cakes were pretty good but unfortunately the shrimp scampi was not great. The noodles were definitely store bought, undercooked, and extremely salty. We usually don't leave leftovers but we couldn't bring ourselves to take it home with us. The service was decent but not outstanding. We are not sure if we'll be back. We hope that they can improve on their food in the future!
Used a Groupon here. For $44, it allows for two entrees, two wines, but then only one appetizer for two people to share. So, we got the most expensive appetizer they have, the crab cakes. They were just okay - well prepared but seemed to lack seasonong and overall flavor. I had the Angus speak, which was quite good. My wife got the scallops which were tasty but very rubbery and not tender. Wines were very good. Atmosphere and decor is very nice - sophisticated but casual. Servers were all super friendly and attentive.
I made a reservation on Open Table for our Anniversary-stating such. Upon arrival not one mention of it, not even a "congratulations". The waiter was kind but barely gave my wife and I enough time to look at our menu as he continued coming over to our table. The bread was stale, the Garden Salad's dressing was a bit tasteless but fresh and our fish entree was a bit over cooked but flavorful. When the bill came, they decided for them themselves the gratitudity amount which I did not appreciate it in the least!! I may give this restaurant a second chance.
I didn’t love the wait staff. We were sat right away. Then ignored. I understand they were busy but I just didn’t think they were attentive at all
The food was better than I thought. I would love to visit again but the price was more than what I expected. I paid $64 on Groupon and the bill with 18%gratuity was $53. I didn’t order that would exceed the price of the deal but the bill was still too high. Service was great and you do street parking. I believe after 6, parking is free. Toll fee + parking + Groupon + bill after Groupon deal = Neh 😩😩
We went to celebrate my husband's and daughter's b-day. Bad decision! No bread for us, meanwhile everyother table had bread. My husband's clams and linguine was unedible-it was soo salty. My daughter ordered shrimp scampi ($21.00), she got a plate with 6 medium size shrimps, no sauce, no pasta!!! We had to purchase a side of pasta for $5.00. My black angust serloin was dry. It was just not a good place to eat, let alone to celebrate. I don't understand how this place is called "a hidden gem on Pelham", it should definitely stay hidden since it's NOT a gem! The service was so so, the waiter was not all attentive and you didn't feel welcomed. First and LAST time we ever go there.
Didn't feel welcomed. The waiter wasn't that attentive to my table as he was to the others (maybe because I was the only Black person there). This is the first place I've felt uncomfortable eating at and wasn't treated fairly. There was a couple who came in after me and their food was served before mine. I waited a good while before getting my plate. I was so turned off.
I regret having to write this review but my experience being what it was, I must. My husband and I came here some time last year and had the most wonderful dining experience. The server was great and the food was spot on. Sadly, such was not the experience we had this time around. I made my reservation on Open Table and requested a corner table. I know not all requests can be accommodated, but when we walked in and told them we had a reservation it fell on deaf ears because the server simply plopped us down at the first table they felt like sitting us at without acknowledging our reservation or request. Then another couple walked in and our server sat them down at the table next to us, (which was a corner table, which was what I had requested), clearly people he knew because they hugged & kissed. I even thought maybe they were his relatives, maybe his parents? But he never came back to serve us. The bartender somehow became our server and although the service wasn't bad overall, the food left A LOT to be desired. It didn't seem fresh or freshly made. We ordered lobster ravioli from the specials menu only to be told afterwards that they were out, so we ordered the yellowfin tuna tartare. It lacked seasoning and it was bland and underwhelming. We ordered a dozen oysters and they weren't schucked carefully because there were a lot of small bits of shells in the oysters. We've eaten plenty of oysters in our time to know that's not how you serve oysters. Definitely not worth the $30 bucks! I ordered the lobster bisque which was so salty it was inedible. When I told our bartender/server she told me that there had been issues with the soup the day before. So, was this the same soup and they tried improving it from the night before by adding copious amounts of salt? Suffice it to say I sent it back and didn't order a replacement starter. My husband ordered the sea bass as his entrée and it was okay. Nothing to write home about, just, o-kay. I ordered the soft shell crab, again from the specials menu, and it was far from special. It tasted like it was spoiled. My husband tasted it and agreed. I couldn't get the bad aftertaste of the spoiled crab out of my mouth, even after getting a second entrée to replace the bad crabs. I got the scallops with the risotto and either the bad crabs ruined my palate for the night or the risotto was spolied too because it didn't taste like a freshly made risotto. (My dish came out within minutes of ordering it.) The scallops were okay, I ate those & left most of the risotto. The bartender/server offered us a complimentary dessert which I think falls short of making up for all the bad food. It was almost insulting. "Oh, two of our dishes were bad? Have some cake." At the very least, my entrée should've been comped. I don't know if we'll give this place a third go around. We've been wanting to come for brunch but this experience has given us pause. When the best part of your dining experience is the bread, why go back? Too bad, because we were celebrating our promotions and the dining experience ruined that. Definitely not worth the $150 bill.
I really wanted to give this place a better review. I have been here several times. The first was great. The service was top-notch and the calamari and pork chop were to die for. I would return with friends, having raved about the food. We all ordered the huge pork chop only to be disappointed. Barely cooked to even raw in some spots. Nevertheless, I gave them another chance. The service is still at a good level although we were brought an order by mistake. This was quickly rectified by the attentive staff. The egg roll appetizer was cold and not just it sat there too long cold but rather it just came out of the fridge cold. The calamari was still decent. For my entrée I had steak and eggs, it being brunch. The steak was cold and the eggs just a tad undercooked. This did not make for a pleasant experience later that evening. My wife left her chicken club mostly untouched - the bacon had not been heated enough and still had that unfinished smell. I want to give them another chance but I fear going back. Please fix the kitchen.
Service was inattentive. If you didn't ask you didn't get. Had to ask for seafood forks for dozen clams. No pepper for salad. Entree was supposed to have grilled asparagus in dish and none. Waiter insisted they were in risotto, which they weren't. Scallops were small and oversalted. Clams were miniscule and poorly shucked. Disappointing evening. Not worth the money, even with restaurant dot com coupon.
Absolutely loved our food and the place has a great atmosphere. Have been before on Valentine’s Day and was 10/10, but had a very different experience the second time around. Treated very poorly, possibly because we had a Groupon. The service was slow which I don’t mind but the server was just so rude... except when it came to be tip time of course. Sad because I love their food, but I can’t give business to people who don’t care about their customers. ALSO they tell you the value of the groupon is quite greater than what it actually is, so beware
The server Vincent was the best part. The food wasn't very good. Presentation was spot on the flavor wasn't. We started with a dozen wellfleet oysters. They weren't separated from the shell also obviously rinsed because they were flavorless. Short rib special and Scallops off regular menu both devoid of salt. Not saying my opinion counts but I wouldn't recommend. Both stars for service.
We bought a groupon to try this place. Groupon said cannot be used on federal holidays so we called to make sure it could be used on Mother's Day since it is a holiday but NOT a federal holiday. We were told over the phone we could use it for brunch on Mother's Day. So we made our reservation. When we were seated we informed the hostess that we would be using a groupon. She then told us it could not be used because it was a holiday. We explained that we did call and were told otherwise. She seemed annoyed and told us no one would have told us that. After some back and forth she did allow us to use it. The aditude from the hostess would have been over looked had the food been good. Unfortunately the food was terrible. We sat down at 2:00 and did not get our food until almost 4. 3 out of 7 meals had to b sent back because they were undercooked. Our waiter was lovely and very apologetic. Needless to say I would never go back here. They also screwed up our bill we had to have it corrected twice. Burgers were greasy, steak was one big piece of fat and served to me raw, not rare..raw. Chicken and pork chop were way undercooked.
Biggest disappointment after several visits. Ran out of mussels at 5:40PM and substitute crab cakes were nothing special. The shrimp scampi was awful as were the sea scallops. Won't ever come back.
Some of the oysters and shrimp were so bad that i had to spit them out. The lemons in the yellow nets to be used for the "fresh seafood" were old and molded. When i told the waiter it was shrugged off and the bill was not cheap. I will never go there again!
I ordered Steamed Mussels & Lobster and only mussels were there.... Found out after I came all the way back home. Also, they charge a mandatory service charge (15%) even for pick up orders.
This place is absolutely terrible! I called ahead to make reservations and was initially told that for smaller parties reservations are not needed Despite this, I decided to go ahead and make reservations. I made reservations for 1:00pm for 2, I arrived at 12:45pm and informed the host that there are now 3 in my party. I was told no problem but I would just have to come back at 1:00pm to accommodate my party (2 adults and 1 child). Ok so I wait until 1:00pm. At 1:00pm I am then told I have to wait at least 10 more minutes because people are "eating slower than usual today" and since I decided to add an additional person it will take longer to seat me. Why was this not said when I informed you of the 3rd person at 12:45pm? Why make it seem as though you just need 15 minutes to accommodate my 1 extra person. I again come inside at 1:13pm and again told that there is no room for 3 despite there being plenty of open tables. Do you just not want me in your restaurant? You clearly lack communication and that is no way to do business.
Worst oyster experience of my life and I've eaten many. I ordered welfleet and that's definitely not what they brought me. They were dry, lacking any salinity, and seemed to have been shucked hours beforehand. Currently still ill with digestive pain. Do not recommend.
Service was slow. I literally saw only two people during the time we were there. It was maybe about 7-9 tables. On to the food. My son had the prosciutto pizza. The prosciutto was sliced a little on the thick side. He didn't like it, I took the prosciutto off and he still didn't like it. I had the regatta burger with fries. It was just okay. My friend had the seafood spaghetti, it was just okay. We also had little neck clams, calamari and mussels. The clams didn't taste fresh, the mussels had a weird taste to them but the calamari was really really good. Within 20 minutes of us into the meal all 3 of our stomachs starting hurtung. My son had to use the bathroom and blessed it with #2. My friend and I waited until we got home to deliver our #2's. I wouldn't go back. End of story.
We went there 2 Saturdays ago for our first dining out experience since the pandemic. The waitress was amazing and we had an absolutely amazing experience. We decided to go again last Friday because we had such a great dinner and great time in general the week earlier. Unfortunately it was such a bad experience last Friday that I'm actually writing about it online right now. Watched the table next to me order mussels and watched them come out. Watched the waiter give them the small fork and ask them about 4 separate times whether they were good. How nice. Same waiter never brought us the small forks, never checked on us, and ran away as soon as he checked with the mussel table whenever he came out, about 3 times total. Table didn't get bussed until there was no room on the table anymore. Second course, he forgets my salad. 20 minutes later i get it. Third course, hour later, asks me if I'm excited about seafood tower because "I should be." Had to go inside to ask for the check. 120 dollar meal, 74 cent tip. I'll never go back but maybe management can figure it out.
The chicken Breast wasn't fully cooked. My son food had a piece of a plastic wrap. When we told the waiter he asked if we wanted a new one. Of course we did. Well the food came right back out. It tasted bland like they washed the food and just gave it back to us. Smh. Dont recommended. Olive garden tasted better
Food is meh and overpriced, their scallop main dish which has a listed price of close to $30 comes with exactly 4 scallops. The scam with this place is that you get a Groupon deal where the restaurant considers it to be a very high price, so if you buy the Groupon for $89 for a group of 4, your bill will have a price listed for $200+ as the meal value, you will be taxed and charged a mandatory gratuity fee on that supposed $200 value…. so expect to pay $47 on that mandatory gratuity and $23+ in taxes. Also if you bring with kids, be aware, if you get vanilla plain ice cream for the kiddos, you will get charged $10 for about two scoops, something that’s usually $3-4 bucks at most at other restaurants, Nothing special just plain generic vanilla ice cream. They also have other desserts listed, I ordered typical favorite, chocolate lava cake and it was meh, low quality, seemed microwaved.
This was one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. Things were screwed up from beginning to end with absolutely no sense of apology. We had a 630 reservation, showed up on time, but we weren't seated until almost 7pm. The waiter came to our table for the first time at 720pm. We had researched the menu ahead of time to make sure there were kid friendly options, but since it was Mother's Day, they were operating with a different menu which is totally fine. We asked the waiter if they had any kid friendly food that wasn't on the menu and he said no and that all we can get is what's listed on the menu, so we went ahead and ordered. About 20 mins after we ordered, we saw that the kids at the table next to us were eating chicken fingers and french fries, so we asked the waiter why he didn't tell us about that option. He said that we didn't ask and he got a bit of an attitude about it. Luckily he was able to change our order and the kids got chicken tenders. We waited patiently for an incredibly long time for our food to come out, and at about 830, I got up and asked the waiter for an ETA on the food and he again gave me an attitude like I was ruining his night and he said "soon". The food came out about 2 minutes later, so we were hopefully going to get on with our evening. Upon further inspection, the chicken tenders that they delivered to my daughter were RAW. Not just slightly under cooked, completely raw, pink, cold chicken. We called the waiter over again and he again had an attitude when we sent the food back. Again, not even a hint of an apology to be found. When the chicken came back out, it was completely burnt, but we decided it wasn't worth the time to talk to the waiter about it again. At this point we had been at the restaurant for 2 hours with a 5 and 8 year old kid, so we just wanted to be done and get out. Again, at no point during this experience did a single person offer an apology or even show an ounce of remorse for how terrible the service was. They ruined my wife and mother-in-law's Mother's Day dinner and will never go back there again.
I could give this place a zero star I would. Let start up with the service. We got to the place at 3:20pm on a Sunday for Brunch, the male waiter approached me and my friend saying that they closed and will re open at 5pm. I was confused because the website doesn’t mention anything about a 2 hours break from 3-5pm. Me and my friend decided to wait outside until 5pm and sat on the chairs they have right outside the restaurant for one hour and 40 mins. Exactly at 4:49pm it’s starting raining super hard with thunderstorms we tried to go inside the restaurant so we didn’t get wet the Owner “Monic”!!! Very unpleasant!! Opened the door and kept saying they closed, we cannot serve you food until 5pm, did not even bother to hear why we had requested to go inside. Monic was very rude from the moment we sat on the table inside the restaurant, I felt we were being treated different from everyone else. I saw white people were being treated better than me and my friend we are latinas. The horrible was complete trash. The started plate the burrata was supposed to have roasted peppers instead it had eggplants. Also the bead we were given had to be at least 5 days old, it was hard as a rock, NOT FRESH at all!!!! I ordered the hanger steak and the meat was rotten the moment I took a bite I almost threw up. My friend ordered the salmon which was raw and not even fully cooked and it had a disgusting fishy smell that would make anyone nauseous. We had to get something else and decided to go with something safer which we thought we be the margarita pizza. Another badddd dish, I could not even eat it neither my friend. We left the place so hungry. At the begging Monic said we charge 18% gratuity and when the bill came we were charged a higher percent, means SHE LIED to us!!!!! when the bill came I called on her to explained her I upset and disappointed I was about the way we were treated and tried to suggest that she should treat clients better for future reference. I was talking she was talking over me very rude not even letting me finish my sentences, and kept saying that they have been there for 22 years basically that she doesn’t care to lose two clients. She also we should not waited outside for that hour and 40 mins l, if it was her she would have left. I couldn’t believe. But I honestly I knew my experience was going to be this bad I would have left !!!! WORSE RESTAURANT AND SERVICE EXPERIENCE EVER!!!! Please don’t come here. Monic was very rude and did not even apologize for the bad treatment we received !!!!! THIS PLACE SUCKS!!!!!! Please don’t waste your money nor your time !!!!!!
Food tastes great and presentations are gorgeous, friendly service. Unusual for a seafood place their steaks are great!!
I ate in person twice and loved the food. The menu never changes much but has a little bit of everything. Recently Every time I order from them on Grubhub they cancel the order. Why use a platform such as Grubhub hub if you will cancel the orders, the food is generally good and fresh and the owners are very nice but to be available on Grubhub I find it disappointing after a half hour to learn no order is filled it was cancelled. This happens several times. I now no longer want to even go there in person because it’s a rotten way to treat customers who enjoyed your restaurant.
