Cantina Lobos Pelham Reviews
Excellent local resturant. Great food and drinks. I have frequented many times and have never been disappointed.
Excellent neighborhood Mexican restaurant with great guacamole and tacos. Friendly service.
This was my second time and it was wonderful! The food was amazing and the service was the best! It's a great place!
Delicious lunch specials. Love the food here. Friendly staff. Great service. Must try.
This place is amazing. Duck taco is off the charts and my girl loves the Beyond Meat enchiladas.
A gem! What a great addition to Pelham. The totally renovated space is hip and clean. Modern design. Cocktails are amazing and food is even better. Get the taquitos as an appetizer!
The Gin Daisy was delicious!!! Also if your into seafood try the Bang Bang Taco with coconut shrimp tipped with jalapeño mango sauce...
Honestly one of my favorite bars in the area. Great tequila selection, great tacos, and great staff! I always recommend this place to my friends.
Great food, great drinks and great service. Highly recommend. There's a reason it was best new restaurant in Westchester two years ago!!!!
awesome food and drinks and a friendly staff. Small intimate place with cool decor and a smart modern Mexican vibe. Recommend!
Great spot for after work. Light dinner and drinks. Big drink menu nice people and a very local crowd. Happy hours are busy.
Our meals were excellent and so were the drinks. First time visiting but won't be the last.
Super cute local spot I didn't even realize was there. Food was good. Fast and friendly service. I will be visiting again soon.
Fun friendly staff, great tacos, and refreshing drinks await you at Cantina Lobos. It’s always good!
Excellent location for great authentic Mexican. Tacos are delicious, best octopus I've ever had, and the drinks are fantastic!
Great drinks. The shrimp in my salad was amazing. Highly recommend this place!
Drinks on point, food on point and service was outstanding!! Keep up the good work guys!
This is my go to spot when I want some good eats.. love this place...great drinks .. the staff is super nice.. love love love this place
This was my GoTo pre-covid so it was nice to see they weathered the crisis. It was enjoyable, food was delicious and Luke and my hostess were awesome. Thank you and see you again soon.
One of our usual date destinations. They mix the drinks very strong and even offer a mezcal tasting flight. One time they offered an unusual and very delicious soup as a special, since then I considered the chef in high esteem.
Cantina is a great spot to meet friends, go with family or get takeout. Delicious tacos & quesadillas, awesome bowls, the flat iron steak is amazing, love the grilled octopus too. Even better than the fresh food is the warm, welcoming staff!
Had such a great time. The tacos were amazing and the margaritas were soo good! Everyone is very friendly and our waiter was so sweet! Definitely will be coming back.
I had a reservation and was seated immediately upon arrival, was offered some chips and salsa amazing! Also started off with a jalapeño margarita its very unique and tasted pretty nice overall. The food came out very quickly I had the skirt steak with rice and beans it was cooked perfectly. It was seasoned to a T and the mojo was to die for perfect amount of acidity and kick, balanced by a sweet reduction as a base for the steak. My partner had a seitan tostadas which were to die for they have a wide variety of options to choose from. I will definitely be back to try more food and I can only expect greatness to come out of the kitchen. Also the staff was very responsive and didn’t hover more than they needed to I will definitely recommend it to many more. The efficiency is 2nd to none its a great team and they deserve any and all thats to come. The owner was also very attentive and actively assisting great to see, I know why they obtained best restaurant in westchester for sure.
Love the vibe, atmosphere, everything. Especially loved the drinks. Very hip place, great for a date. They're open for pickup, but I really hope they open outdoor seating soon!
Great place for margaritas! Good selection! Good price! Great staff! Monday-Friday happy hour is 4-6pm A must go happy hour place if you are in Westchester!
I ordered two carne asada tacos one chicken taco maid deliciously flavors blended culture rice and beans fantastic wonderful owner wonderful as well atmosphere. 💯 love the Red sauce
We had emanadas that were amazing and chicken burrito that melted in your mouth... can't wait to come back!!
The food and service were Great. And the Margarita made the Evening even better Along with the Corona. We had the key lime pie for dessert a must have.
The steak tacos were pretty good and I enjoyed the frozen margarita. The only down side is street parking, which you must remember to feed the meters.
What a great spot in a good area. They recently changed their menu and drinks and wow!!. Amazing tacos and drinks. The staff is very friendly, courteous, and clean. Bella the bartender was amazing mixing 🍸. We went on a Sunday and they have trivia night their every Sunday they said at 5. Marcus from lets go trivia the host, was phenomenal. The place was packed for trivia as well. It was a good vibe and very fun.
I revisited after awhile and was impressed. This is such a fun spot for dinner and/or drinks. Portions are plentiful, the food is delicious and flavorful with unique specials. The cocktails were equally good! Service was on point and our server paid attention to little details. I was dining with my family and they were very accomodating to everyone. Of note, the guacamole was super fresh and delicious. Wide variety of food choices. Great, fun and casual atmosphere.
I came here with my husband an hour before the restaurant closed. The food was delicious and the the staff was super friendly. We ordered steak fajitas and the portions were big and didn’t disappoint. The drinks are pretty good as well. We would definitely come and patronize again.
Very good service and very good margaritas. Been here twice, I enjoyed both margs that I've tried so far. The jalapeño is my favorite of the two, but the coconut is also a good option. What really entices me is the service; impeccable, very nice staff. They are so customer centric and seem very happy with their job. I will keep coming back especially for the service; the food is also very good. I really liked the coconut shrimp tacos, they were fresh & crispy. I almost forgot they were fried because they weren't oily. Enjoy!
The food here was delicious! Tacos were hefty, may seem pricey for one taco but definitely worth it! I had the Skirt Steak for my entree and it was cooked perfectly to my liking. Margaritas are definitely a thumbs up!
Lovely Place!!!!! Great drinks and the food is amazing. I honestly eat here maybe twice a week for lunch and its always fresh and on time. I recently dined in this past weekend and it was great. The margaritas are inexpensive and delish. Great location, great ambiance, conservative yet casual....just perfect! Oh.... their sauces and chips are BOMB!!!!!!! lol. ** I normally get the chicken rice bowl or steak bowl. Large portions and hearty.*** You will not be disappointed. Truly a great place for carry out or dine in. *** update as of 2/9/17 ... came today during the snow storm and service was impeccable as usual. Attentive, friendly, and personable. Lovely place.
Really good food in a cool space. Great for families but becomes a scene by 9pm except Sunday nights when they have family trivia. Chicken tacos are good but the fish tacos are amazing. My favorite though is the beef enchilada. The sauce is amazing.
Thank you Cantina Lobos! The service was outstanding - busy night but you guys were next level and looked after us so so so well. Delicious food and awesome atmosphere. Thank you again!
I found this spot, because I was looking for good happy hour prices in the area. They have great drink specials and an array of fresh food. I ordered the chicken enchiladas. And, they were extremely fresh and flavorful. The portion was also huge. It lasted me three meals. There was plenty of bar, high top and booth seating here too. I'd definitely stop here again to try more of their entrees.
Had a awesome experience at cantina lobos Or waitress was amazing and super friendly And the tacos were great We had the carnitas the carne Asada and the coconut shrimp taco All were so amazing The new ceviche and cocktails are top notch Really great place
Fellow southerners, gather round - this here is the best mexican restaurant north of the mason Dixon line.
Cantina Lobos has become one of my favorite spots. The food is always fresh and full of flavor. I especially love the sangria, chips, empanadas, and tacos. Everything tastes homemade in the best way. The vibe is relaxed, the staff is friendly, and it’s just one of those places you’re happy to support. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area.
Great Taco Tuesday special! Food is great and their margaritas are delicious
Uhm, hands down my new favorite taco spot in Westchester. Yes the tacos are a bit pricey between $6-7 each but they do not skimp out on the fillings! I couldn’t make up my mind so I got 3. The pork belly was soft and practically melted in your mouth. The Baja fish was a classic fish taco with a crisp cabbage slaw. Finally the duck confit was cooked perfectly where it wasn’t too dry. Also love our server for the chip refill. Can’t wait to come here for dinner and get a cocktail!
The secret to this place is .... its a community effort.. folks in the town put their money together to get it open.. Lots of local kids work there Their first job kinda thing. They do an excellent job, atmosphere is extremely friendly. Everyone trys so hard , one feels compelled to have just one more Margherita.
I am proud to have Catina Lobos in my town. Been here quite a few times but here is the scoop. Great bar to grab a quick bite and delicious frozen or rocked margaritas. Even better though is dropping in with family or friends. The atmosphere truly has a moderm cantina feel and i love the lighting and open front in warmer weather. The food is tasty and fresh and the bar selection is supple. I am attached to the mushroom tacos whether they are in taco or lettuce wrap AND the Tamarind frozen margarita with spicy ring. We can't say no to the thick flan here but the Churros is divine also. Enjoy!
The food here is great . I love their different spicy sauces and the atmosphere is relaxing. I enjoy this place. Try the octopus here!
The atmosphere is fun and I really like the design of the place. The food however, is overpriced and not anything I would come back for.
Had amazing tacos & margaritas. Stopped here on our way to Stratton on a Friday night for a quick bite & margarita. We had quacamole, which is served with homemade chips and several different types of tacos. Very very good. Service was good as well. Would definitely return.
Small space but they have outside dinning as well. Food is great recommend the bang bang taco. They have three sides with different level of spicy and the hottest one will have you on tears and mouth burning.
In my opinion not authentic Mexican food. Also you get very little for your money i should had taken a pic of my order....nice place and friendly atmosphere though
You get warm chips and salsa when you first sit down. They have a nice selection of tacos! The the pork shoulder one it is delicious ! The service was really good as well
This is one of the most chill taco spots I’ve been to in a while. I’ve been here on slow days and busy night, and I can say that the service is just the same. The wait staff is very friendly and fast. The bartenders are super chill, and a slingin’ good tequila/mezcal based drinks. They also are a NYCFC sponsored bar, so this is my spot for watching all way matches!
I have to admit I didn't care for this place when I first moved from the city, but it's actually a very cool spot with good food and great drinks - one of our favorites in Pelham. I think once you get settled into Westchester life and can leave the ultra-hip lower-cost funkiness of NYC behind you (or at least excuse the lack thereof) you'll be vibin' here. Please try the duck tacos.
The pork belly and duck tacos are delicious. I was surprised by how delicious the food was. The staff is great and very friendly. It is very expensive as it's 6 to 7 per taco nothing else included. It's a bit loud during dinner time just FYI.
Great. Local taco place. Word has it. The drinks are pretty good too though I haven't tried them. If you want to authentic Mexican food (and most of us don't know what that is anyway), this is not the place, but it's reliable, it's consistent, and it's pretty darn good.
This was a really nice authentic feeling Mexican restaurant. The tequila and mezcal bar was extensive and the cocktails were really good. There is $3 house tequila shots that are really good as well. Food was tasty. A very gourmet spin on classic Mexican dishes. I wish they would add nachos back to the menu.
The only reason I didn’t give this place 5 stars is the bartender. It seemed as if he was somewhere else. He didn’t smile at all. Didn’t ask how our food was. Just seamed so angry. I believe his name was Eddie. He just made the vibe so non existent. All of the food was great, my favorite taco was the pastor taco! Super delicious. Paired well with a glass of Pinot noir. Eddie please smile more!
Good food, moderately priced, friendly, helpful staff . Seasoned pork tacos were out of this world . Darn good margarita . Small venue so it fills up quickly and can get loud. Nice selection of local craft beers but surprisingly devoid of Mexican options. All in all a solid local establishment.
Nice quaint spot for Tacos and Margaritas. The watermelon 🍉 margarita was the drink of the month and it was soooo refreshing, yet packed with a punch. Great Customer Service. My only issue, not really an issue was there wasn't an actual taco dish with rice and beans. You have to buy everything separately, bummer.. I'd still go back though, I liked the vibe.☺️
Nice atmosphere, good menu selection. I would like it much more if I didn't feel they were skimping. I had a burrito and it was almost ALL rice! Just a hint of meat. Beer is cold! Well let me tell you all! I went back to this spot and I am in awe of what the executive chef has done! I had the Octopus done with Chorizo sausage and Pinto beans!!! OMG! that's all I cam say...well, except go try it. It was so good I had to make myself stop eating so I would stop shoveling it into my mouth! Food that good needs rules. I also tried the Passion fruit Flan! That's right Passion Fruit! SDG! ( So Damb Good) I owe somebody's mother an apology for slapping her, God forgive me!
The problem with Mexican is that the lines between noteworthy, too expensive, and same-old-same-old are really blurry. Well, Cantina Lobos is a bit better than "Meh", and most definitely more expensive than it should be. Won't recommend against, but nothing says "go here" except the very friendly service.
I ordered a Brussel Sprouts salad with chicken and it was pretty delicious. My issue is that I asked for chicken and was charged for it, but they didn't add it.
A fun taco spot in Pelham, a quick walk from the train station. Atmosphere has a modern touch with a traditional Mexican style. Duck taco is my favorite from the menu. For beverages, I'd stick to the beer menu. Margs are fun but mostly ice.
Ordered 2 chicken tacos, chips, guacamole and frozen drinks to go..I was extremely disappointed in the chicken tacos. There was no seasoning on the chicken. I was expecting small pieces of seasoned chicken. This was shredded bland chicken with onions and cilantro. I'll give it another try but I won't be ordering chicken tacos. The guacamole and chips were ok.
Didn't have the best experience, queso fundido it's tostitos salsa con queso. Asada tacos, meat wasn't tender, and the service is terrible. Never again
Food was okay, it was ok not great or mind-blowing. The street corn was great 👍
Services was great and so was the atmosphere ! But the amount of food and the flavor was not worth the money.
Horrible service. There can be 5 people in this place and it still takes 30 mins for food.
Quality of food is not good. Chorizos were very salty and beef asado was tough. Service is excellent and very accomadating. Would probably not return.
Friendly service and good atmosphere but the food is bland. My wife and I went several times and couldn't find something we desired to eat again.
The hostess killed the mood! Was not friendly and was on her phone discouraging customers. Shouldn’t be the face of the restaurant.
Food was fine but I was disappointed with the bartender who took our food order when we sat at the bar to drink/eat. He ignored us more than once when we requested his assistance. He was more interested in serving his potential friends or possible attraction interests at the other end of the bar.
I particular didn't care for this place as far as the burritos go. Which was the reason I went there in the first place. They're new and may not have it together just yet as far as the food goes. But there is an extensive tequila bar there. You might want to try that if you like tequila.
The service was nice everyone is really nice. Unfortunately there were ants everywhere. They were crawling on the walls and tables. Also, I got sick with food poisoning and couldn’t eat for a day.
Here's an updated version of your restaurant review: **Food:** The meals are decent overall. The rice was well-prepared and flavorful, but the black beans were disappointingly bland and needed more seasoning. The restaurant clearly caters to those who prefer milder flavors - if you're sensitive to spice, you'll feel right at home here. **Service:** The staff strikes a friendly tone and seems genuinely nice, they tend to give diners plenty of space - perhaps too much. Whether you appreciate this hands-off approach depends on your dining style. If you prefer to eat without interruption, it works well, but if you need attentive service or have specific requests, you might find yourself waiting longer than expected. **Overall:** They provide low-key, low flavor mealsl and relaxed service.
Bartender who bragged about having 14 years of experience didn't know how to make an Alabama Slammer. Unprofessional while being smarmy about it is not a good look.
Food is OK but service is terrible!!!!!! We were promised a table, waited over 20 minutes, come to find out our table was given away and there were no seats left for us to sit. I won’t be coming back because of this terrible service. Such a turn off!
The food was not good. Ordered tacos just steak no onions no lettuce no cheese nothing horrible. Will never eat there again.
Place was practically empty and would not let us sit at an appropriate table for my child. They’ve had my business for many years. Never again.
Worst “Hispanic food” I’ve ever had in my life, paid 14$ for a cheese quesadilla and 7$+ to add beef???? The quesadilla came out with no seasoning, white American cheese and salsa??? For 21 dollars??? Please. Also got Mexican corn and the mayo and cheese came on the side, whatever, but the mayo was literally yellow. Tasted disgusting and literally left my food, never had worse food for such outrageous prices. How is rice and beans 7$ EACH, they’re literally supposed to come together, do better and no one go here !
Where do I start. They don’t cook or serve Mexican food. Their food has no flavor at all. I made the mistake of ordering from here thinking that after 2 years things would have changed but it was absolutely disgusting. All the food we order had to be thrown out, it was so horrible. I could have spent that money at Bar Taco in Port Chester. I will never make the mistake to order from here again, as a Latina I am ashamed of this place. Gross
Had an order of over $80 of tacos and chicken quesadilla. What an utter disappointment!! The most unorthodox tacos I've ever encountered. Basically just a couple of items thrown together (dried shredded chicken, cilantro and onions) on cold, undercooked tortilla. They didnt even add sauces to the order! For $6 per taco you can and should do better!! Paid extra to add chicken to a quesadilla and it had but a couple of smears of chicken on, once again, undercooked tortilla! Barely edible! Save your $$$ and don't order from this place!
This place is way overpriced! the food tasted terrible! I ordered the Mexican corn and it was literally a half piece of corn for $4. My boyfriend had the fish tacos and he didn't like them at all. Needless to say we won't be back. I could understand the prices if the food was good but it wasn't worth it at all!
Was there once before. Had a good lunch. Came back to hang out. There was a hair in my salsa. Locked it over then ordered my meal hair was in my taco.. the service was not good. Ritchie was not enthusiastic. Walked out.
Do not go here. I ordered my food ahead of time and still had to wait AN HOUR inside for it to be ready while the restaurant was damn near empty. I kept being told 10 more minutes and 5 more minutes for an hour straight. Terrible customer and the food is below average. 0/10 WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.
I loved coming here until today when this young man who clearly did not want to work there became so rude to my sister and I. I asked for Tostadas because I had them last time, he let us know it's not on the menu today. He said the kitchen would tell him to go to hell if he asked them to make tostadas. So we gave up on the food and asked for frozen margaritas. He was so nasty when we asked him for a floater on the top. He wanted us to get it on the side when we normally sit at the bar we DO NOT GET IT ON THE SIDE. The bartendar never has a problem doing it but today this young man had a problem just inputting it in his iPad as my order. then he said "this isnt chevies" I dont even know where or what that is. We know where we are and that's not a professional response. We told him we get it all the time what's the problem now. Then he had an attitude like our order of 2 margaritas was a major problem for his day. We left without ordering anything, was not worth it having him as a server. He alone made us not want to stay there. Cantina in White Plains was friendlier and had better customer service.
The food was overpriced and underseasoned. The service was awful. I ordered 6 tacos and 1 street corn from their website for curbside pickup at over $50. It stated a prep time of 40 min, which is crazy on its own, but then they didn't bother to text as promised and they didn't bother bringing it out to my car, which was stopped right in front. It sat for at least 10 extra minutes. The fish tacos were extremely bland, the shrimp tacos were weird and sweet, and the chorizo tacos were fine but mediocre. At least the fish and shrimp were cooked to the right temperature. The street corn was fine. There are better options in New Rochelle.
My husband and I were not allowed to sit at the high top because we did not have a reservation and we were a party of 2. When I asked the waiter why other parties of 2 were seated at the high top, I was told they had a reservation. We have been there twice before. The food is descent, customer service needs improvement, especially when it’s empty most of the time. We will definitely take our money elsewhere!!
If you want to die from a sodium overdose well come to Cantina Lobos. Just order their nachos with salsa and get ready to spend the night at the ER with a triple the limit salt intake. Drinks are mediocre and their taco prices are absolutely insane. The server was not friendly or courteous.
