My wife and I had a great time dining at The Tavern Village in Pembroke Pines. She ordered the Mediterranean Bowl, which was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented — a perfect balance of taste and texture. I ordered the Braised Meatball Skillet, and it was outstanding — tender, rich in flavor, and perfectly seasoned with a delicious sauce that brought everything together. To finish, we shared a slice of their Carrot Cake, and it was the perfect ending — moist, not overly sweet, and topped with creamy frosting that tied the whole meal together. Our server, Charlotte, was wonderful — friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect from start to finish. The restaurant had a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere that made the evening even better. We’ll definitely be coming back soon — highly recommend The Tavern Village for anyone looking for a delicious and enjoyable meal in the area!

Village Tavern on SE corner of Pines Blvd & 75. It's REALLY pretty walking in, hostesses immediately greeted us,l and sat us. Restaurant approx 60% full with a good amount in the cocktail area Our server was Jack... and he was prompt, knowledgeable, proactive, friendly, informative and charming. He did a great job! Ordered brushetta & bacon wrapped scallops. Those scallops can be tricky and we've experienced subpar before (not here) but these were just perfect. The bacon was properly cooked, had a mild teriyaki glaze, scallops were seared and moist. She had the big filet which she loved and their garlic mash is really tasty. The grouper on the menu is supposed to come on a pasta but I asked Jack if i could have it on the risotto they serve the shrimp on. He said "absolutely, we can do that". It was wonderful! The grouper was cooked perfectly and seasoned on point. There was no way we could enjoy a dessert. We only have the most positive review on this place and look forward to seeing others post their reviews.... ask for Jack😎

The staff were friendly & the atmosphere was quiet. I had an expresso chiller but they stirred it too much & it didn’t look like the picture but it was delicious. Don’t be surprised but it was a little pricey for lunch. The french onion soup was very good.

This is one of our favorite restaurants, we've been coming here for years and have never been disappointed with the service or food. Today we went for Easter dinner and had one of the best servers we've ever had, her name was Valeria and she is the sweetest. When we go back we'll make sure to ask for her.

The experience at this restaurant was amazing! Our waiter Jack was very attentive and gave us exceptional customer service. Alex the executive chef had his chef’s cook the food to perfection! Great atmosphere for a date night! Would highly recommend! -Joey & Bianca

Service was good. Our server Hunter was attentive and kept coming around to ask if we were doing good. To me it felt like a Cheesecake Factory without the extensive menu. Food was tasty, and was brought out in a timely manner. Lots of things to choose from. The spring rolls were good. Four small pieces with three different dipping sauces - didn’t care for the peanut one but the other sauces were yummy. The huevos rancheros were interesting. Black beans on the bottom underneath fried tortilla. Eggs were on top and had pico de gallo. Beans were spicy so if you got a bite with everything, it was a party in my mouth. The plate came with a blueberry muffin and red skin potatoes on the side.

We went here for dinner Sunday. Food was very tasty. Our server was Kristina, she was very attentive and gave us great choices on items to try out. Overall a great experience. I would recommend the patio area.

Whether your looking for a quick bite, meetings some friends or looking for a date night spot. They definitely check all the boxes, the bartenders are FAST, friendly and efficient. I had the hot crab dip, the bread, the portions and flavor were all there. My main course was the rainbow trout with mashed potatoes and green beans which didn’t disappoint. Try the smoky old fashion, you won’t regret it

My first time here in my nearly 4 months of living in this area. The food and service was very good. I started with the bacon wrapped scallops which were cooked perfectly! For my main I had shrimp and grits. Everything was cooked very well, I would have liked a slightly more bite with the shrimp. Then I ended the meal with a slice of cheesecake. They offer toppings, but I prefer it plain as it’s meant to be!

I stumbled upon this hidden gem and I'm so glad I did! The pasta was absolutely amazing; perfectly balanced flavors that I haven't stopped thinking about. My bartender was knowledgeable and made excellent recommendations. The entire experience exceeded my expectations.

Reservation for a family birthday dinner was at 6:45pm but we were early by 15 mins. Was promptly seated. Our main server Eric and Jeff who was serving next table, greeted us and served us bread also checked in with us on food. Overall A+ service. Food arrived fast. The manager Mike greeted us, in between checked in with us and sent us birthday card signed by the staff. Almost forgot to mentioned food is delicious as always. ( forgot to take pictures of the food ) We were truly surprised by the overall experience at this restaurant. We will visit again next time we are in town.

I went for happy hour yesterday (4:30pm-6:30pm) to celebrate my friend's birthday and I was thoroughly pleased! I got a rum punch and my friend got a few shots and a glass of wine. We had multiple items from the happy hour menu: firecracker shrimp tacos, ribs with fries, prime rib sandwich with fries, and chips and dip. My only issue was the chips were in too many broken pieces. I will be sure to ask about that next time. We also had the butter cake and ice cream for dessert. I always enjoy coming here.

First time in and I would definitely check it out again. Very clean restaurant and the atmosphere is very chill. I had the spinach dip which had lots of flavor and the consistency was what a spinach dip should be. I ordered the Grouper Hemingway which was a great portion. It is Market Price so It was $31 dollars. Drinks were delicious and they offer daily deals which is always appreciated.

Great food with a wide variety of choices (perfect if you are not really sure where to take someone). They have a nice ambiance, always busy. Happy hour offers drinks and shareable apps. Highly recommend the beet salad. You can get add-on protein to go with (blackened shrimp in pic) I CRAVE this salad!! The staff is always so nice. They do a great job.

My wife and I come here often, but tonight the bar waitress Krisssana took the best care of us. And we appreciate the amazing service. Thank you!!!

Many items to choose from. Our entire visit was 1 hour, which was awesome. Didn't have to wait long for anything. Shrimp and grits were wonderful, but next time I'll leave out the bacon, kind of on the salty side. He had the blackened chicken pasta. I'll most definitely return, great experience.

MENU The menu has so many items we want to try everyone takes their time ordering which item they REALLY want. If we coordinate it well we all get a taste of a several new items. FOOD My Huevos Rancheros was interesting to look at but nothing like I expected and I was disappointed-until I took one bite. Delicious. The tortillas are fried and give crunch to the dish. Not great for the waistline but it really was scrumptious. Will order it again. SERVICE The service was wonderful and it was a busy Sunday brunch crowd. Dining with our-just-turned-2-grandson the servers were careful not to place anything hot close to him and that was much appreciated. Yes, they do have high chairs there. BIRTHDAYS We were celebrating a birthday and they brought an ice cream sundae out very discreetly after all the dishes were cleared. One candle was enough and they did not embarrass anyone singing happy birthday as a crowd.

I took my boyfriend out for his 50th birthday. We had our party grow from 4 to 11 on a Friday night and they were able to accommodate us with several hours notice. It was the first time anyone in our party ate here. The prime rib, fish tacos and shrimp risotto were super tasty. Kristen was our server she was amazing and very sweet. The manager Michael is such a sweetheart. We were all impressed with the atmosphere: it wasn’t very loud (even though it was busy) we were able to hold conversations across the table without yelling. The Moscow mules are the best I’ve had in a long time. I highly recommend for family dinner or date night. We will be back!

Superb service, very romantic setting and a great atmosphere! The ambience and dimly lit lights set the tone for a wonderful evening. The food was delicious! We had the warm crab dip and the grouper Hemingway! Can you say yummy! I had a great time and I will definitely be back real soon. Five stars across the board!!

My husband and I go often to this restaurant for their great Happy Hour. Yesterday we went with a group of friends and were having trouble finding a table. However, Eduardo Palomo, the manager, came to the rescue right away and provided a table for us. This is what I call "great customer service". Thank you for this and for the desserts! A shout to our waiter Jack R. He was attentive and extremely pleasant. Our friends, who had never dined here, loved the overall restaurant, service, and food.

My first time at Village Tavern was perfect all thanks to Pia. She was so incredibly sweet and on point with everything. She even surprised my mom and I with a birthday sundae. The food was amazing. The rainbow trout was cooked to perfection, and spring rolls were amazing, accompanied with an amazing miso dressed salad. Roberto (the manager) went above and beyond to make our experience amazing.

Let me just say I been to this restaurant twice and both on special occasions. And they are amazing at customer service. I mean they do such an amazing job in making sure your night is going well. I always do a reservation just in case. The food is amazing and so dam tasty. They have a large section of drinks since they have a full bar. The steak just melts in your mouth. There breads are also amazing. We love there mussels as well. I always try something different and I got the first time a pasta which was good and a chicken parmesan. It's also really nice with the dim lights. Makes it perfect for a romantic date with either a good burger or steak.

Excellent food, service, and prices keep us coming back. The place is packed, even mid week, so make a reservation! My favorite dishes include the 10 glaze salmon, the trout, and the clam chowder. We like to sit at the bar for happy hour, it is very lively and busy. My favorite snack is a guacamole/cheese dip served with nachos, very tasty, and goes great with their 24 oz beers. In fact, I have tried many items on the menu, for meatloaf to fish tacos, and everything is delicious. The restaurant is located in Pembroke Gardens, a really nice area to walk off the meal, look at shops, and stop in at Starbucks

10/05/24 I had an exceptional dining experience on my first visit! The service was top-notch, the food was scrumptious and beautifully presented, and the atmosphere was warm, inviting, and impeccably clean. I'll definitely be back! Recommend the blackened chicken Alfredo

When they called themselves a scratch kitchen they meant it. Every item on the menu is incredible. Can't go wrong with any steak, sandwich, or appetizer. Very happy I came across this restaurant. The club sandwich with fresh made potatoes chips and the bacon jam burger with a fried eggs and truffle fries are total standouts you can't find anywhere else

Went back recently for dinner and it was excellent. Both service and food were very good. Had the filet mignon and it was perfectly cooked and the seasoning was great. Everyone at my table enjoyed their meal. Staff were very attentive and helpful. They also have gluten free menu which was important to me. Will be coming back soon. Also

Manager Ed assistanted me with my take out last week and again today... His customer service is above the rest! Even though I had and issue with my order both last week and salary again this week I am willing to return and try something different because of him! When I returned to work today, I even shared how great the service was and food before I saw my remake with my co-workers and they said they wondered how they did was and will go there and give you a try now! The first 4 times I ordered the mushroom Swiss burger they were awesome, not sure what happened the last two times... Thank you Ed for being you! P.S. Otto also assisted me today and he was also very friendly and professional

Had a great experience at this restaurant. I was celebrating my 45th wedding anniversary. The food was excellent, but the service is what really stood out. Melanie was our server and she truly went above and beyond in a way that felt natural and genuine. She made great recommendations, checked in at all the right times, and made the whole experience feel personal. She was attentive without hovering and had a really bubbly, professional approach that made us feel taken care of from start to finish. I will be coming back.

The service was amazing, we ate outside and the weather was outstanding, we were attended by Tiffany, & she was the best server we have ever had; we had not eaten here in about a year as we were trying different places. When I ordered I was a bit confused & ordered something I was allergic to so, Andre the manager came out & was so amazing. 1st he came to apologize for the time it was taking to receive our meal & brought out their amazing tomato soup for my hubby as an accommodation as well as refreshed my drink, then when the meal came & it was not what I should be eating he changed it & showed concern for my wellbeing & my allergic reaction that was my fault for not knowing that it had a big amount of tomatoes. I reordered & then it was not to my liking, he came & apologized again which it was on me but, they finally got me the shrimp scampi as it comes as I was totally confused. ANDRE AND TIFFANY were not only professional, attentive, courteous as well as concerned on our experience and my well-being on my allergy reaction. I felt I had to tell my story and give then a shout out to their amazing service and great management skills. We totally recommend this restaurant the server Tiffany and the management Andre gave us; they are an asset to this restaurant; we will continue to go there and recommend the great food and service.

Outstanding service from Leylanie! Our server, Leylanie, was absolutely awesome from start to finish. She was friendly, attentive without ever feeling overbearing, and she took the time to ask the right questions and really listen to what my wife, my son, and I each liked. Her recommendations were spot on for all three of us, which is not easy with a family that all have different tastes. She checked on us at just the right times, kept drinks filled, and made sure everything came out the way we wanted. You could tell she genuinely cared that we had a great experience, and that made a big difference after a long day.

This was my first time here and It was a lot of us, the waitress did all she could to keep up. We ordered many different dishes. The rainbow trout was a tally delicious, the fries were not. Macaroni and cheese was not that great, the salmon was good, the grilled meatloaf was good with the mashed potatoes, taste Luke homemade, I know it was late but, none of the staff came over go sing my daughter happy birthday. Food was a little pricey

C
Christine Cusi-Cueco

Ambiance was good for an American restaurant. Ordered crabcakes and meatloaf as entrees. The food was generally average but for the price point, it was not that bad. The potato chips were not that crispy. Our favorite was the caramelized brussel sprouts. Our server Tony was super helpful and friendly.

Most visit to Village Tavern in Pembroke Pines, I love this place for its delicious food and great 🍸 martinis. However, on my last visit I ordered my favorite dish I was enjoying my dinner until I found hair when I went to bite into my shrimp. Not only did I lose my appetite but I was truly disappointed. The manager was called my food was made fresh to take home. Village Tavern will be back to visit you really do hope never to find hair in my food again. I love the atmosphere and food here this was my only worst experience in all the years I’ve been here. Sharing my experience because I love to dine out with my family and friends and feel that people need to know that this experience only did happen once. I love sharing great food and this place is one that has the food and drinks. Still love you guys!!! ( Michelle the Foodie of South Florida )

I can come to Village Tavern for the Spinach Tortilla Dip alone!! The dip itself is delicious and has a good kick to it with the Jalapeño. The tortilla chips are also lightly salted and crispy. I still haven’t found an entree I love - crab cakes were OK but loved the French fries and I wasn’t a fan of the steak tacos I had on a previous occasion. My boyfriend did enjoy his chicken sandwich. Service is always on par and we never really wait for a table which is a plus.

M

Village Tavern is a very nice restaurant. We had Mahi-Mahi with green beans and rice, a pimiento cheese BLT with coleslaw and a Godiva chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream. Everything was tasty except for the coleslaw which was not to my liking. I thought the sandwich could have been on a better bread than the toasted white bread, but it was a huge sandwich with delicious applewood bacon and a great tasting pimiento cheese. They have some of the best coffee I've tasted. With so many restaurants in the area, I probably won't go there again.

This was a very nice surprise. Of course we went online to look at reviews for local places. This looked like a nice place to have a lunch. The food and service was great. As you can see from the photos the food looks vibrant, with larger than normal servings and I can tell you that it was fresh. I liked this place a lot. I think the quality of food and the price point works out in the better interest for the consumer. Definitely a place that you should try if you have not already. Bon appetit!

Reserved a private room for 20 people to celebrate my son's HS Graduation. Had a special menu set up and everything went smoothly. They decorated the table very nicely for the occasion. I had the filet mignon which was delicious, the rice pilaf was a lil salty. Chocolate torte was awesome. Big Thanks to Tiffany and Juan for great service and going the extra mile to ensure our event was a success.

Great experience, nice staff, clean environment. The grouper pasta was excellent. Smaller portions than I expected but it was so good I can't be mad. ( There were no leftovers) The fish tacos were good, and the meatball skillet was good too. I'll be back again to try something else.

The first time was the best, the waiter made a great effort to exceed our expectations. The selection of food is outstanding. Two more times after that, not so impressive, the waitresses seem tiered and not very helpfull at all. The last time when noticing in the menu "complementary bread when requested", I asked for it because I was ordering soup and salad, they had ran out of it. We'll give them another try.

Went here for dinner last night. Vegetarian friendly but not vegan friendly. Restaurant has a nice atmosphere. Staff is very friendly. They were busy so it took a while for the waitress to get to the table initially but she was very nice and knowledgeable. All the food was delicious. Bruschetta is fantastic and the beet salad (in the photo) I had was very flavorful. My husband's grouper sandwich was also very good although the fries were unseasoned. Overall good experience.

I was referred to this restaurant to try for dinner. A quick check of the menu and I was pleased with all the options. The atmosphere is very nice like an upscale tavern. It was very pleasant and comfortable. We sat in a booth at the bar and I was happy they had March Madness on TV. We ordered drinks and waited, finally got the drinks and ordered an appetizer. It then took forever and our waitress kept buzzing by finally we had to flag her down to order dinner. It took 15 minutes just to get the appetizer. Then another 15 for dinner. It was a Sunday night at 5 so they weren’t packed, just slow. The food flavors were disappointing to me. We ordered the onion dip and were excited to try this with the homemade chips. Neither the chips or the dip had great flavor. They were both bland. I also ordered the spring rolls and the village Tavern salad. Once again, the spring rolls were not full of flavor, but the salad was the star of the show for me. My husband ordered a cheeseburger along with sweet potato fries he said they were both good nothing fabulous just good.

Located in Pembroke Gardens just off I-75 and Pines Blvd, Village Tavern is a stand alone restaurant closer to the entrance off of Pines. The menu is vast and many options sound too good to decide easily. After a few minutes, our server came by to let us know she had a couple things to finish up and then she would come by. She was helpful with suggestions on the menus and after much deliberation we ordered a couple apps and our meals. The appetizers came out timely and the KFC cauliflower was quite delish. Our main meals came out mostly all at once a fair amount of time after. However a couple dishes were missing things and we advised the staff whom brought out the food. Unfortunately, they did not bring out the items nor did they rely any of this to our server. Also unfortunately, our server was not coming by to check on our table. The short ribs were a little dry and missing their green beans (which were eventually brought out cold after we said something). The chicken parmigiana was cooked well but the pasta could use extra sauce (which we had asked for from the beginning but they didn't bring till we said something again and everyone was done eating). The grouper Hemingway was a bit strange as the outside of the fish was a bit dry/leathery but the inside was cooked well. The pasta that came with it has a very delicate sauce so if you like a more forward flavor on your pasta, this might not be the move. I liked it but others at the table thought it needed more punch. The chicken and penne was well cooked but a very pesto forward flavor so take that into consideration. The cajun seafood linguini and the shrimp and grits were by far our table favorites. Our server apologized for the delays and missteps with the meal and offered to get us a dessert for our party of 6, she ended up doing 2. The warm butter cake is definitely one of the better ones I've had, it was rich yet light. I didn't try the chocolate torte but heard it was very tasty if you like a flourless type cake. Currently I'd be hard pressed to rush back despite thinking I'd be running back with all the awesome sounding options. The service and food quality fell a bit short for the price and atmosphere of the restaurant .

Ordered 2 prime ribs. Very fatty hard to cut. Was with business associates so we didn't want to make a big deal, took it home for the dog. Too bad I didnt read the reviews before we ordered this. Waste of money.

It was a Friday night, and we arrived at the restaurant for our 7:30 dinner reservation. We weren’t seated until a few minutes after that, and then it took almost an hour and 10 minutes to receive our first plate. We were told that we would be comped for the inconvenience, but in the end, we only received a $2.70 discount on one of the meals and two scoops of ice cream. The entire time, we were strung along and repeatedly told that the food was on its way. Overall, it was not a great experience.

Ok let me start out by saying that the place is beautifully decorated...very nice on the eyes great Kodak moments. Now I gave the food 2 stars because it was bad 👎. The pictures are great...but...first they had no piña Coladas ( the machine was broken)they had run out of the meal I wanted to eat PRIME RIB! I ordered fish and chips...the fish was had no taste! It was not seasoned 🤦‍♀️my mother inlaw had the brick chicken...that was mediocre. My brother inlaw had the pimento 🍔 burger, he said it was bad...my spouse had the butchers cut medium well came to the table almost well done. For the price that we paid we should have had a great and delicious meal. I've eaten way better at Flanagans! That's the last time we'll be eating there. Don't recommend it...spend you money some place else.

Customer service was great ! The food is good . I order a couple of appetizers, fried calamari , wedge salad, truffle fries, onion soup (very cheese ) everything was good Note :when ordering calamari order the sauce on the side (sauce can be overwhelming). But overall the ambiance is nice and the food is good.

It's got good atmosphere and the servers are attentive but the food is mediocre when it comes to taste and price. Don't know if I will be back soon.

The brunch here is amazing! My server was great too. The only reason I did not give this location the full 5 stars is because one of their host did not greet me nor say good bye when I was leaving. But I did notice her greeting other races. Didn’t get her name unfortunately but managers should look into that. She was a blonde.

I rated my steak a 7.1, co-worker 6.2. Both agree it was Longhorn quality. Service was slow. Overall not worth the money they're charging.

Service was good. Grace is very nice. Most of the food was good except the crab cake. Very undercooked and not at all good. Surprised cause the other dishes were very good. Steering clear of the crab cake next time.

Starting to get a little run-down guys I understand it's a tavern, but it ain't got to smell like that. Starting to smell like an old TGI Fridays. And that fried cod did not look like. Food is decent. Welsh dip is ok

I went for happy hour with some girlfriends. We unfortunately had a bartender that looked and sound like she was 12 years old. Worst drinks I ever had. She kept speaking to us but we couldn't hear a word she said. She had a little sing song voice. If you are a bartender you need to speak up and be heard. We asked her some questions and she gave all wrong answers. I asked for Smirnoff and she didn't know what that was. Atmosphere was very nice, just st make sure you get the guy bartender!!!!! Don't know if we will return. Basically paid $8.00 for a half glass of club soda 👎

The food was great and the service was good. They need to do a better job of keeping the booth areas and the bathrooms clean. They also need to double-check that the silverware is clean as well.

Good food on take out order but last trip we dined-in and got a different experience. The food for pick up for my first time was amazingly fast at 15 minutes (several places have told me that they are prioritizing deliveries and pick ups, I understand since most people have switched to take outs since the pandemic). I was amazed how fast and good the take out food was for a regular restaurant. The last visit was different though. My mom and her friend decided to go out to eat so we came to village tavern and try out the rest of the menu. Wait time was 45 minutes but it seemed like less. My mom’s friend was starving so she was a bit aggressive since she wanted to take a table that was waiting for the next party to arrive. When we finally got our table, we had a friendly waiter and we ordered a crab appetizer and some complimentary bread (upon request according to the menu). The bread was extremely hard but warm. My mom’s friend claimed it was stale bread and requested a new batch. She was right, the replacement basket was filled with soft hot bread. Unfortunately when you make the bread “upon request” only, it tends to leave bread waiting under a heat lamp for a while since many people might just expect bread instead of asking for it (not everyone reads the whole menu like me). My mom hated the crab dish because she claimed she tasted cheese, i didn’t taste the cheese but it did taste like a regular tuna salad when i just add mayonnaise to a can of tuna. They garnished it with a lemon wedge which did make it taste much better once we added the lemon juice. They are a craft kitchen so everything is made on site at the moment so when I ordered lemonade I was hoping for the one your mom makes for you in the hot summer days, but my drink tasted like the lemon water you get for a cold remedy. It was bitter and had no sugar added which is ok for a diabetic like me but not for normal public consumption. My mom liked her Cajun cream seafood pasta (she hates cheese or butter so we were happy she had a creamy dish she didn’t complained about all night). My grouper Hemingway was a bit overcooked on the fish and the pasta (I switched fettuccine for the usual angel hair pasta) was a bit underdone with no taste. The sauce was either not mixed well with the dish or they just didn’t strain the water out properly before adding the pasta to it. My mom’s friend said her shrimp risotto is ok. So we had a Goldilocks reaction with all three dishes. One underwhelmed, one ok and one that was loved. Since there were two different experiences with this restaurant, I want to try again with a different dish. The meals were served within 15 minutes and I do believe they are making it all on-site. The staff is helpful in trying to address any issues we had that day. I would however recommend they offer the bread up front when the guests sit down so they don’t have stale bread accumulating under the heat lamp. I would have thought that was the quality of their bread had my mom’s friend not rejected the first batch. It has convenient parking next to the restaurant unlike the other places in this plaza which is always full because they are surrounded by shops, so I encourage people to give it a try.

On 28 Feb. 2026 at about 6:45, we Ordered a prime rib 12 oz and my wife ordered chicken Alfredo and my daughter ordered a filet mignon 8 oz. This happen at Pembroke Gardens. Everything was fine except for my prime rib. Over half of it was fat and asked for medium well and got medium. The meat was so tuff I could not chew it. I left it and discarded it. I am a 77 year old 100% disabled veteran and i love eating at Village Tavern but I never had a bad meal there until now. I took pictures because I had just had that same meal the week before. In fact I eat it almost every time lately. I would to bring or send my pics to whom ever it may concern.

I decided to give Village Tavern a try around 3:00 PM today and sat in the outdoor seating area. We started with lemonade and nachos; while the nachos were tasty, our request for sour cream and jalapeños on the side resulted in a misunderstanding where almost every topping was served on the side except the cheese and beef. The main issue was the service. After finishing our appetizer, 30 minutes passed without our plates being cleared or our entrees arriving. We watched several tables who arrived after us get served first. When I asked our server, Christina, why our food was taking so long, she gave the poor excuse that the delay was because I ordered my burger well-done. It was a frustrating response, as a burger shouldn't cause a 30-minute backup for the entire table, including simple tacos and a kids' pasta. Furthermore, every request took 10 minutes to fulfill, and they even brought another table's order to us by mistake. The food was alright, but not amazing. While it is great that they are pet-friendly and offer a military discount, the slow service and dismissive attitude regarding the delay mean I won’t be returning.

We went to Village Tavern last night to change it up after reading some reviews. We ordered wine, wedge salads, the ribeeye, a burger & the grouper Florentine. We sat outside which was nice but our food arrived cold & I got the wrong grouper dish. My family didn't want to complain so they just ate what was served but were not too happy about it. They quickly replaced my fish & spinach dish but it had no taste of seasoning or any flavor, still not sure what people were raving about in the reviews. For the price of this meal with mediocre service & cold flavorless food, we'll go elsewhere next time with all the other options in the area.

This meal reminded me of when I was 17 & took a used Volvo for a test drive solo… It was shiny & appealing on the outside; full of promise… but, as I’d pressed the gas to get up to the speed limit, something up and quit mid-way through… (the car made a popping noise & sputtered to a complete, grinding stop on the “Evergreen P. Floating Bridge.”) And I feel like this meal was “over” too, right after it had begun… service was abysmally slow. My meal, pedestrian at best & when I reviewed the bill, the waiter had over-charged two of us on the wine. We had to request more water, spoons for sharing dessert & even appetizer plates at the beginning of the meal, and, of course the correct adjustment on the bill at the end. So about that used car, I left it sitting on the interstate, it was a very bad deal. I told the salesman it had broken down & he asked where in an accusatory tone—I told him, you will find it exactly where it broke down… in the middle of the floating bridge… anyway, no more old Volvos & no more Village Tavern.

I came here with a small group of friends (party of 5). I ordered the blackened chicken fettuccine because you can't really go wrong with it. It came out good. I enjoyed it. Last time I had shrimp and grits and it was way too salty. My friends did not enjoy their food. They said it was okay and that the restaurant food quality and service has really gone down hill. We met at 1:30, and expected to be out the door by 3:10. The checks took forever. The server did not check on us until we were ready for our checks. My friend had soggy, mushy, underdone sweet potato fries and she was finished with her meal before they even offered to do anything for her. They offered to give her another side, but we were ready to leave. They could've taken 20% off or maybe a small amount on a gift card. Instead, she paid the full price of her meal. The process of settling the check took so much time that I ended up being late to my hair appointment. Food is getting more expensive and bad experiences will make us think twice before returning. Well, at least we gave it more than one chance.

Three burgers, all over cooked. Someone asked for onions, and this is what was found on the plate. The kitchen or the server forgot to add bacon. We told her that they had forgotten and to just make sure to remove it from the bill. She brought bacon with the check instead. Our server seemed to have issues picking up used plates from her tables. Walking back empty-handed to the POS or to the kitchen. Needs some guidance or just common sense. The service and the food seems to have declined sharply in the past couple years. Which I did enjoy a couple years ago. Good luck

Really disappointed. Even the appetizers were underwhelming. The salmon had way too many bones for the price couldn’t even eat it. Drinks were watered down, and everything tasted like a fancy version of basic bar food. Definitely not worth it. I really had high hopes of this place.

We came here for a birthday dinner, party of 2 sat on the “bar” side as I was told is no difference in service compared to the lounge side. Our service was suuuper slow drinks and appetizers. Not to mention I didn’t have the same person. Drinks one lady food server another. Spring rolls were very good. Spinach dip I’ve had better. Entrees were Cobb salad and grouper Hemingway. Salad was large, avocado was brown and mushy. Grouper was slimy and tough. I would not recommend the Hemingway for that price.

We visited this restaurant as a party of five and had a very disappointing experience. To start, my orange juice never arrived. After waiting about 20 minutes, I requested a decaf coffee instead. Unfortunately, service did not improve from there. When the food finally arrived, it was both incorrect and cold. We ordered three steak and eggs and two eggs Benedict. Instead, three filet Benedict and only one eggs Benedict were brought to the table. Two of the filet Benedict dishes were undercooked, with the meat an unusual red color, and the eggs Benedict that did arrive was cold. The final eggs Benedict never came out at all, leaving one person in our party without a meal. Due to the poor quality and temperature of the food, we were only able to eat about half of what was served. To make matters worse, we never received coffee refills. We expressed our dissatisfaction to the waiter, but the manager never came to our table to address the issues. We have been coming to this restaurant for many years, but the quality, quantity, and level of service have significantly declined. This visit was extremely disappointing, and unfortunately, we will not be returning.

This place is a glorified low-budget restaurant. If it wasn’t for its location in the over-hyped Pembroke Gardens, it would be out of business. They haven’t updated this place since it opened. It looks run-down, and outdated on the inside. And the whole place smells like food, which tells you it’s not being managed properly. The service is not that great and neither is the food. I’d go somewhere else.

Food was mediocre at best and gave us all stomachaches. Cocktail was insanely sweet so we returned it. Service was terrible. Waited so long to have orders taken, drinks and food took forever, had to ask for waters and bread halfway through our visit because non were offered. Place is kinda old and tired. Dehumidifiers set up everywhere. There are better options nearby…

Save your money. Food is greasey and cold. Service is not good at all. The managers have to bring bar drinks, condiments etc. The Apps came out cold. Drinks are over poured so you cant tell what your drinking if its a mixed drink. Main course cold and bland. The only thing that came out hot was the Mac and Cheese.

I have visited this restaurant on many occasions within the last ten years or so and have never had such a bad experience until Saturday, August 24 about 2:30pm. It wasn't that busy in the restaurant. I have hosted several family and friends gatherings here and have always had a great time. On this day I invited a friend, and was met with less than medicore service. The waitress served us bread covered in food debris on napkin covered on top. The silverware and plates were dirty. When we told her , she apologized. The bread we requested was not warm, she switched and brought bread but still cold. When the food arrived, my friend started eating her entree to discover she was chewing a foreign object. When she spat out it out, it was a sharp bristle object. I immediately truly lost my appetite and had to go search for waiter and ask another one to get the store manager. We explained to him what happened, and showed him, and he had this blank state on his face offered a lame and underwhelming apology. He asked to see it, examined with his hands and said I know what this is, it happens all the time, it's the bristle off of brush used to clean grill. The fact that this "manager" thought it was okay to state this with no further action but to stare at us is just incredible disgusting, and crazy to patrons. I haven't visit within a few months before this but I'm pretty sure this is a new manager. I would suggest training your leaders in hospitality and customer service. I stood up and let him know we would not be paying for anything as I left, he didn't say a word or offer anything for this bad experience. I'm highly disappointed and embarrassed that I recommended this place. I've tried calling corporate office several times , we are still playing phone tag, left few messages amd given them few days. This is the worst experience ever, the fact that eating out is so expensive and the service is at a low level but to have this happen is very unfortunate. People work hard for their money to patronize your business, this is absolutely unacceptable. You have lost a loyal customer.

My husband went to buy food from this restaurant last night. He ordered a hamburger, some beef tacos, and lumpia. Honestly, I don’t understand why restaurants, instead of making an effort to offer quality food—especially for takeout—end up serving such poor-quality food. The beef tacos were extremely lacking in ingredients, and the meat was very old, tough, and reheated. The lumpia had no flavor and was very low quality. The only item that was decent was the hamburger. Restaurants should be more concerned about the quality of the food they serve. I’ve been to Village Tavern a few times and had good experiences dining in, but when it comes to takeout, the food is the worst.

I came here in 2015 and I remember it being nice, came today and it was a disappointment. The drink I ask for tasted as rotten lime, then the waiter offered to add flavored and it was even worse. They didn’t remove it from my tab and charged me $10. I left it at the table. The salad that came with my appetizer tasted like sushi idk why and the main dish i got was horrible, super runny and lack of flavor , lack of everything. They didn’t give me utensils until I ask for them. Place was dirty. Never coming here.
