I'm not a seasoned upscale restaurant reviewer. I'm not a bourbon connoisseur. I'm a regular guy that visited the city and partook in a work event to decompress with other coworkers. It was phenomenal. We had a private room and all staff were extremely attentive. The bourbon selection was outstanding. Plenty of other options from the wine, beer, and cocktail menu. The food was out of this world. From the sweet creamy Jersey Corn soup, to the incredible blue cheese wedge salad, then the melt in your mouth filet mignon, finished with a butterscotch cheesecake, a core memory of Philly dining was made tonight.

While visiting Philadelphia over Easter weekend, I booked Easter brunch at Bank & Bourbon—and it did not disappoint. The endless buffet was impressive, offering something for everyone. From a made-to-order omelet station and hearty carving stations to fresh pastries, seasonal fruits, and decadent desserts, every detail was thoughtfully prepared. The quality and variety were top-notch, and no one was leaving hungry! It was a perfect way to celebrate the holiday—great food, warm service, and a lively atmosphere. I’d definitely return for another special occasion brunch.

The cheese board and Burrata were pretty good. However the drinks are were its at!! I had an old fashioned with old foresters after that I tried some house cocktails. The fist full of dollars was great! The secret knock was AMAZING!!! my wife got the lemon hill which she also liked. The atmosphere is great and our waitress Angie was sceptical! So glad we stopped in.

I just came here with my family for Thanksgiving dinner and it was fabulous! The buffet had tons of food and great options. To briefly go through the stations, they had appetizers (mostly salads and vegetables, meats and cheeses, and stuffing and mashed potatoes). The stuffing was the star of the show since it was made with brioche. Then the meat and seafood section which had turkey, roast beef (AMAZING), and salmon. They also had bread rolls and shrimp cocktail and oysters. Lastly, the desserts. I was overly stuffed by that point but I managed to try a couple cookies and the pecan pie. I wish I had an extra stomach! I also recommend the rye-tai drink—very tasty. Service was excellent as well. Jess was our waitress and she took great care of us, made great suggestions, and checked in on us throughout the meal to make sure we were doing okay. She had a lovely personality and was always smiling when she came over :)

I stayed at the Loews for six days and visited here every day. The breakfast menu was very good with a lot of variety. My favorite was the salmon salad. (This is only on the weekend menu). Above all, Jasmine did a perfect job. Her service was confident and proud and made my stay even better. I will definitely be back here on my next trip to Philadelphia.

I’ve celebrated Thanksgiving here three times now (2019, 2023, and 2024), and each visit has been excellent. The buffet is festive, generous, and always worth the price. Thanksgiving 2024 – The prawns, raw oysters, and prime rib were fantastic. At $99 per person, it felt like a true holiday treat. Thanksgiving 2023 – Still amazing. Jennah was my server and she was exceptionally excellent — warm, attentive, and professional. The buffet was $85 that year and included prime rib, fresh oysters, shrimp cocktail, and soup. I appreciated that the shrimp were already deshelled, which made dining much easier. The oysters were a little better in 2019, but the shrimp this year were the best yet. Thanksgiving 2019 – Outstanding food and service. I sat at the bar and ended up meeting several fascinating people who made the evening especially memorable. Around 7pm, I met an enchanting couple, Patrick and Robyn, visiting from NYC. Later, a man wandered by barefoot, adding a quirky note to the night. After Patrick and Robyn left, their seats were taken by Justin (33, works in wealth management) and Diana (63, a former attorney who lived in NYC and now takes tango classes in Boston). They didn’t arrive together, but both were equally interesting to talk to. Bottom line: The prime rib, seafood, and warm atmosphere make Thanksgiving here a tradition worth repeating.

came here for restaurant week and had such a great experience!! cozy vibes inside, and everything ordered was delicious - from the Brussels sprout salad, salmon with sweet potato succotash, & chocolate layer cake with marshmallow! Would definitely come back here to try their regular menu and drinks at the bar!

10/10 would recommend. Food was amazing and drinks were even better. Bartenders were so nice and made such amazing drinks. Lindsey was awesome and recommended us some local options that turned out amazing. Can't wait to go back!!!

We were in Philadelphia for the ISTE Live 23 Discover Your Next Conference. Bank & Bourbon located in Loews Hotel was across the street from our hotel the Philadelphia Marriott Downtown. I ordered the Roasted Amish Half Chicken with fingerling Potatoes, Greens, and Salsa Verde $28 and my husband ordered the Duroc Pork Chop with Wilted Greens, Parsnip Purée, Apricot Jam $34 and Parmesan Rosemary Fries $8. Jennifer our server for dinner was very friendly and attentive. The entrees were a-mazing! My husband's porch chop was cooked to perfection and my half chicken and Verde sauce was delicious.

The burger was juicy. The fries were fantastic. The cute little bottle of ketchup was cute.

This is a great place for a drink and dinner. It's traditional American fare with streaks, fish, and chicken. I recommend the octopus and tuna starters. The cowboy steak was perfect and a good entree to share. The cocktails are the best part of this place. Will definitely return.

Bank and Bourbon is a great spot for those looking for craft cocktails, favoring bourbon as the backbone of the concoction. Friendly staff, and a very interesting and well executed menu round out the experience. Additionally, on weekends they offer a very solid breakfast brunch buffet. Along with the standards, they offer a nice little charcuterie selection, smoked salmon, carving station, made to order omelettes, and cocktail shrimp 🍤. Fair warning...their Bloody Marys, while tasty, offer a bit of heat, so just make sure to ask for a mild version if that’s not your thing. Either for a nice date night, or a quick bite while staying at the Loews, B&B is a great choice. The drinks will leave you happily tipsy, and their food will leave you happily full. Happy Eating!

Wonderful dinner in a relaxed beautiful dining room with excellent service. Wild mushroom bisque & Filet mignon with fingerling potatoes was spectacular. The garnish was exactly the same so lack of creativity there, it was very nice but the same on soup as filet is not the norm.

Stopped in for a late lunch after a site tour of the Loews. Great salads and good service. We had the wedge salad, and the Shrimp. I also had the French Onion Soup (not pictured) but it was delicious!

Great drinks & desserts here; I love coming here for a cocktail, and an after-dinner sweet. Irene is especially nice and amazing.

Was here for a wedding, very impressed by the selections. Prices are not too bad either considering it's in the city. I would love to come back and hang here for a few hours. Comfortable atmosphere, I did not have the food but I did see others enjoying it. Service was decent at the bar, anyone complaining were most likely rude to the bar tender...follow common courtesy and you will be treated the same. Basil Hayden's did not disappoint, Caribbean Reserve Rye was outstanding!

We went for Restaurant Week. The regular menu did not have much more to select from, which was disappointing. The staff was friendly and the food was very good.

Recently visited this place when not sure what to do upon arrival in Philadelphia. We were doing the tourist stuff and the name implied a decent old fashioned. I ordered the cold old fashioned and she ordered two different drinks. The drinks were awesome. The staff was very friendly and the experience was a most excellent way to start a day of touristing. I highly recommend this place for their drinks and the people that work there.

In town on business, just needed a beer and a burger at the end of the day. Sat at the bar; friendly staff; recommended a local lager, which was very good; remarkable cheeseburger; left content with a positive attitude. Coming back, definitely.

I didn't have high expectations for a takeout Philly cheesesteak, but this one blew my mind. The flavors were intense and the textures were perfect. It was a little bit too salty, but it was so good that I had to finish it (and it was massive). It came with a very spicy pepper on top, which was addictingly good. The cheese was perfectly melted and incorporated into the crisp and chewy shaved steak, along with some nuggets of caramelized onion and mushroom. The bread was soft and complemented the filling perfectly. This was perfection and had redefined cheesesteak for me.

Jakob and Ominu provided “above and beyond” customer service throughout our experience. Bank and Bourbon is the best quality and tasteful meal we had while in Philadelphia. If you’re looking for a place where staff take the extra time to ensure you have a wonderful dinner and provide you with additional support with ordering your drinks and meal, then Bank and Bourbon is the #1 restaurant anywhere around. Thanks so much!

Went here for breakfast two mornings in a row since we were staying at the hotel. We ordered their Eggs Benedict both days — the poached eggs were perfectly runny, the Hollandaise sauce was rich but not too heavy, and the potatoes on the side were amazing! Super crisp potato skin with fluffy potato inside — loved it. The next day we wanted to try the Local Eggs Benedict, but surprisingly they were out of pork roll… on a Saturday morning! That part was a bit odd, so we just stuck with the classic again. Still delicious though! Special shout-out to our server — it was the same lady both mornings, and she was incredibly kind and attentive. Right before we finished, she even asked if we wanted two coffees to-go. Such a thoughtful gesture, really made our mornings feel extra nice! We also visited the bar the second night for a couple of drinks. ✨ Mojito — refreshing, minty, super easy to enjoy 🥃 Bourbon Sour — great balance of citrus and whiskey, very smooth Friendly bartender and a cozy vibe to wind down the night. Overall, great breakfast, lovely service, and a nice hotel bar experience — just wish they had the pork roll available on weekends! 🛒 Bonus: Don’t miss the little Market next door! Right beside the restaurant, there’s a small market selling bagels, snacks, and baked goods. We grabbed a couple of things — and their Cranberry Muffin might be one of the best I’ve ever had. Super moist, tart berries, not overly sweet… such a pleasant surprise! 🥰🫐

Went for lunch during restaurant week. The salmon salad and pineapple cheesecake were excellent. Others got the steak frites, crispy chicken sandwich, and chocolate cake. All very good.

The food and drinks here did not disappoint, especially the Branzino, which was excellent. Meanwhile, the staff on our visit were decent, but a bit lacking in menu knowledge and attentiveness. The ambiance was the least appealing aspect of Bank and Bourbon, which seemed bland and poorly situated near the busy Market Street entrance to the Loews Hotel.

We were very happy with our experience. The reason I didn't give 5 stars is because our server was not as attentive as expected at a restaurant like Bank and Bourbon. However, all of our food was fantastic! The mushroom bisque was creamy and delicious (only needed some salt). My hanger steak was cooked perfectly and the flavor was really good. My friend had the Amish chicken and it was so juicy and delicious! Also, my margaritas were made to my liking. Overall, we were very happy with our experience and hope to go back again.

I came here with family but as for the first two courses I was rather disappointed. I had ordered an Ahi Tuna, Flat Iron Steak, and a Chocolate Mocha cake for dessert. The overall quality of the food felt as if you could order it at a Cheesecake Factory. Just overpriced. But I was glad to taste the cake as I was ecstatic about it as it was not too sweet and the mocha ice cream balanced out the fudgy like cake. On top of the par food and excellent dessert the staff was incredibly attentive and exceedingly polite. Never once did I run out of water.

The drinks were fantastic! "The Afterthought" is an amazing and creative drink. The food was pretty good. The cheese plate was delicious. The wedge salad didn't look too nice, but it was good. The bean soup was super, super hot temperature-wise. The service was good. Worth stopping in for the drinks alone.

Food was good....not spectacular. Went for the Thanksgiving buffet. I first was a little irritated because I asked to seat in the half-booths by the window and the hostess said, and confirmed with another, that we could not sit there without specifying that in our resy reservation. She stated although empty, those tables were saved for those asking for a window seat in their booking. I thought, F' it, fine. Water service was quick, but I waited over 20 mins for my regular server to introduce herself and get our drink orders. I actually had to ask like 2 people to send her over. She had been in our area servicing other tables, but did not greet or welcome us in any way. Once she finally attended to us, I ordered the wine tasting offered with the buffet. The food was good although some offerings were better than others. Overall I was satisfied. But between the table and the wait for service, the whole visit left me disenchanted. When a mother and daughter got seated in a window table across from is, I asked if she requested for or specified that before seating. The mother said "Not at all. I was surprised I got seated here. " At this point my anger was coming back and I asked to speak to the manager. He gave some nonsensical, b.s. excuse about bookings and overlooking and overlap, which completely did not address the situation. He did comp my wine tasting. Although I still had to send someone after my waitress after waiting 20 mins for a check. And she automatically assumed, without asking,my 12 year old child was an adult, so again it went back for correction. As we left, the original corner window half booth requested remained empty the entire time and was still not filled. 😑 SMH.

I was staying at Lowes so this was my go to restaurant. Once during breakfast found hair in my pancakes, told the server she just replaced them with no conversation as if it was regular thing. Good food, limited vegan options. Super slow service.

Tried out Bank & Bourbon for its Thanksgiving buffet and bourbon offerings and while there were some highlights, there were definitely some areas for improvement. The interior space was well setup and very nicely decorated, with a cool modern design and we were quickly seated after showing up for our 2pm reservation. While the buffet had a nice variety of options, it was clear that items had been sitting out far too long. For example, the breads we selected were rock hard and the vegetables were becoming tough by the time we showed up. Another major area of improvement was in the desserts, with the pecan pie being outright bad and the other options either uninteresting or not very tasty. With that said, the turkey and roast beef options were great and the shrimp available was delicious. The bourbon selection was also nice overall, however if you're looking for rarer options they weren't on the menu while we were there. A perfectly fine Thanksgiving buffet, however I don't believe we will be coming back.

Came for restaurant week as I have been here before for restaurant week and really enjoyed it. This time though I can not say the same thing. One of the main issues was the wait, maybe it was understaffed or something but it definitely was not super crowded as I've seen Bank and Bourbon have extremely full dining rooms before and this was maybe 50%-65% full. Our reservation was for 7:30pm and we were signing the check and leaving at 10:00pm. We had ordered our food around 7:50pm so it took 2 hours for 2 apps, entree's, and dessert. There was about a 30 or so min wait between each course. There were tables that came in after us for restaurant week and left before us. Don't know why it took so long to get our food but it did not take nearly this long last time we came for restaurant week back in January. The second issue was noise level. While there were a lot of other empty seats in the area we were in, we were sat next to a large party of at least 8. Just about everyone in the part was loud and seemed pretty intoxicated. My partner was less than 3 feet from me and we could barely hear each other speaking or the music that was playing in the restaurant. The food wasn't a issue as bank and bourbon has good food, which is why we chose that restaurant in the first place. Main issues were how long it took to get food/service and the extremely loud party that we were sat next to. Love the food but definitely have to think very hard about if we want to return or not.

We thought the food was just ok. Not a lot of bold flavors or anything exciting really. The octopus app was the best.

This is just a review for the drinks - we had a poor experience, but it might be that they were very busy in a Friday evening. The food looked much more expensive that I expected - $100+ for a meal.

Spent 2 nights at the Loews Hotel and have the breakfast credit. To be honest, the service was not up to par for being a 4 star hotel restaurant. The food was mediocre for breakfast buffet at at cost of $34 a person, it is very similar to what a free breakfast buffet at some 3 star hotel minus the steak. I definitely wouldn't pay $34 at this buffet if it wasn't for the breakfast credit to use. The pancake was so dense and hard and the breakfast potatoes were mushy. The first day there wasn't a lot of guest so it was ok, but the 2nd day there were a lot of people and I don't even think it was a crazy amount of people but just due to their host was bad at placing people into table and waiters not working together with the host to get the tables ready for next guests. It looked like they were new to this and struggled to place people into seat with the line, reservation, and wait-list. Waited for 45min to get seated when the the restaurant wasn't even fully occupied. The buffet was dirty, no one was cleaning up around the buffet to make it presentable, some trays have nothing in it, running out of plates that they have to use all different types of plate to serve people and the food was mediocre at best. Definitely need to up their game for being a restaurant in a 4 star hotel.

Mediocre at best. Ate here for breakfast 2x as we had a dining credit from staying at the hotel. The first day we had the buffet ($34). There was a wide variety of options, but unfortunately very minimal of it was warm. Eggs were borderline cold as was the frittata. Price was very steep for the quality (and it was crowded too, so there is no excuse). On day 2, we ordered Al a carte eggs Benedict. My husband order the local Benedict with pork sausage, and they brought the standard with ham. I asked for eggs poached hard and they came out super runny. I never send food back but I did this time. 5 minutes later, the assistant brought out the same exact plate i sent back - eggs still runny and were now cold. I told the server and he offered to remake it for a third time. But it wasn’t worth it. He did bring a bowl of fruit. This place is pricy for brunch, so I would expect that they would want to make sure quality was there. It wasn’t. Also, a hot tea is $7. Unless staying at the hotel and breakfast included, i wouldn’t go out of my way to recommend or eat here.

M
Matt Skovgard

Atmosphere is nice, steak was overcooked. Flavor was sad for $60 for an 8 oz filet. Mushrooms around the steak were great, and so were the other vegetables, waitress was absent, whiskey options were excellent. I think it’s a good place to come for a drink after work or for business, but wouldn’t recommend the steak unfortunately

My Aunt was staying in the Loews Hotel for a speaking engagement at a conference held there and she asked us to come meet her for dinner. I made reservations for 5 people through the RESY App for 4/6/25. We were seated on time and the service staff was attentive and friendly. We ordered our meals. I ordered the crab soup and Salmon. We had enjoyed our meals until we saw a mouse scurry across the floor in the dining area near our table. This was my first time eating here and I was very surprised that a mouse was present. It made me not want to eat anything else. We didn’t notice anything funny about the food or anything but just the thought of there are possibly rodents in the restaurant turned us off. The manager comped what desserts we ordered from our table but honestly we could have caused a more unpleasant scene. It was almost like they know and this is what they do to make up for it. I didn’t like that. For the restaurant owners and operators, I wanted to leave a better overall review score but this needs to be addressed immediately. Not sure if this has happened to anyone else but I most likely will not return. And it’s unfortunate because the food was delicious.

Soggy bronzino fish served upside down. This made it difficult to eat and was messy. No sides served with it, flavors were not there, overpriced. Steak was good but besserts were the best part. Would eat somewhere else next time.

1st time visiting Philly and my sister decided we would go here (her husband is from Philly). My friend and I ordered the Amish half chicken, wife ordered the duroc pork chop, sister got branzino, brother in law got salmon, friend got duck leg….. Both half chickens were under cooked and flavorless. Wife’s pork chop was well seasoned. My fingerling potatoes were good, but my friend who ordered the same meal, hers were burnt. My sister said her branzino was soggy and served upside down. Other friend said the duck was good. My brother in law, couldn’t tell me how his salmon was because they forgot about his order and they didn’t bring it out until everyone else was done eating. My young niece and nephew food was good (because they got grilled cheese and a burger). The servers are not dressed causally which is cool, but it was confusing because we couldn’t tell the difference from our main server, and the bus person. There were 3 different people taking care of us, after the person who introduced himself as our main server. We felt very rushed, and underserved. It was difficult getting a pitcher of ice water refilled for our table. The restaurant itself is beautiful. Ambience is great for any occasion. I probably would give this spot another shot. I do like the menu options, and I do feel everyone deserves a second chance. But this visit didn’t do it for me.

Expensive food. 20$ for a small burger and fries. The burger was kind of burnt and had a weird taste to it. It was very plain and had no toppings besides cheese and some sauce. The menu is very simple and does not have many choices. The buffet is 35$ for some breakfast foods. For the burgers I got I would have expected it to come faster, but atleast the staff seem to be nice. The atmosphere is alright.

We went for the buffet breakfast/brunch on New Year’s Day. The continental stuff was good (pastries, fruit, etc.), but the hot food was all pretty terrible. If it had been a $15 buffet, I would have been satisfied. But for $35/person, the quality was pretty appalling.

This food is flat out overpriced with very little flavor. The pictures of the food look delightful.I wish the taste would have matched the presentation. I won’t be back. Our sever for the evening was friendly and kind. Instagram @KenKooltho

Passing by the restaurant just now I was reminded of the past New Year's when I chose to celebrate here. This place markets class but took an L in luxury. Though tickets were pricey, the champagne was cheap, the hors devoures unseasoned and unimaginative. We did not stay for frar of starting the New Year badly. I think I trauma blocked the memory and I'm sad I remember now.
