Esperienza meravigliosa! Se volete provare la vera convivialità e cibo toscano allora questo è il posto perfetto. L’ambiente è rustico e pulito, il personale è simpatico e alla super mano; il cibo è buonissimo, c’è una vasta scelta di primi, secondi e contorni… oltre all’immancabile fiorentina da chiedere rigorosamente al sangue! Prezzi onestissimi, per essere in centro a Firenze poi! Consiglio spassionato… provate le loro patatine fritte e il loro ragù!

Tappa assolutamente da provare, il miglior posto dove ho mangiato in tutta Firenze senza troppi filtri. Piatti tradizionali buonissimi e super saporito, ho provato: - Crostini con fegatini di pollo molto molto buoni il fegatino ricorda al odore un pochino il cibo per gatti, ma non vi fate fermare da questa cosa il sapere e veramente veramente buono non so come fanno, ma ci riesco - Francesina, piatto da provare assolutamente, carne di una scioglievolzza senza eguali, bollito ore inseme a sugo e cipolle un piatto che il sapore lo trasmette solo a vederlo, il mio piatto preferito - La famosissima Fiorentina, nulla da dire se non che prendetela come ogni cosa li dentro ahaha, veramente incredibile cotta benissimo a tal punto da rendere anche il grasso e i nervi saporiti e buoni ed a un costo bassissimo rispetto al normale -Patate olio e prezzemolo, se consiglio se prendete la bistecca, essendo molto grande la bistecca dopo un po' può stufare il sapore in bocca, alternando ogni tanto con una patata aiuta molto e insaporisce molto il tutto -Torta della nonna, molto buona crema impasto e pinoli ovviamente di alta qualità come quella della nonna, piccola pecca e la crema che avrei preferito più presente nella parte finale era solo frolla

Sabato a pranzo ho deciso di portare la mia ragazza alla Trattoria Da Mario, una tipica osteria fiorentina che si è rivelata un’autentica scoperta. L’atmosfera che si respira è genuina e familiare, con quel fascino semplice che solo le trattorie di una volta sanno offrire. Il menù è ricco di piatti tipici toscani, preparati con ingredienti freschi e di qualità. Abbiamo assaggiato la ribollita e la famosa bistecca alla fiorentina, entrambi cucinati alla perfezione e dal sapore eccezionale. Il tutto a un prezzo davvero contenuto, sorprendente se si considera la qualità delle portate. Un altro aspetto che ci ha colpito è stata la gentilezza del personale. Ci hanno accolto con grande cortesia, creando un ambiente accogliente e caloroso fin dal primo momento. Si percepiva l’orgoglio per la loro cucina e la voglia di far sentire i clienti a proprio agio. Infine, una nota che ci ha fatto sorridere è stata la passione dei camerieri per la Fiorentina, la squadra di calcio della città. Da tifosi viola, hanno arricchito l’atmosfera con qualche battuta e un tocco di spirito locale che ha reso l’esperienza ancora più piacevole e autentica. Ci torneremo sicuramente , non solo per il cibo eccellente, ma anche per l’accoglienza e l’atmosfera che ci hanno fatto sentire come a casa.

Tipica trattoria. La bistecca è eccellente mentre i salumi e altri piatti nella media per i nostri gusti. La trippa buona. Il servizio effettuato dalla ragazza, come atteggiamento non ci è piaciuto tanto.

Questa trattoria ti fa sentire come a casa della nonna quando si mangiava tutti insieme. Cibo ottimo e personale simpatico, ci siamo stati due volte e ci ritorneremo sicuramente. Carne ottima e ribollita stratosferica!

Came here on a whim one afternoon without a reservation and the host was generous enough to find me a place to eat. The place was busy, and after eating here I understand why. Dishes here are simple yet well-prepared and seasoned (a highlight of my meal was the fagioli: the beans were cooked to perfection). Great wine too. Get a table if you can!

We reserved a table through the number which was in their instagram and the food was ready in just 10 min, although it was raw inside but it melted as soon as you put it in your mouth. The best dish that I have ever had in italy. We took potatoes and salad for side and everything was so delicious and perfect with reasonable price. I loved the place! Everything about it - wonderful personnel, handwritten menu, that the place is small, and crowded, and noisy, we also had a shared table, so got even more lively atmosphere (you might get it too if will be making a last minute reservation:)). We made a reservation through Instagram DM, and even though we arrived about 10 minutes late because we took the wrong train, the owner welcomed us warmly. We ordered the 1.2 kg T-bone steak, a salad, potatoes, and a half-bottle of wine. The steak was seasoned perfectly and tasted great. The salad wasn’t anything special, but it paired well with the meat. The potatoes came out as fries, which was a bit disappointing at first, but they were actually addicting once we started eating. The wine also matched the steak very well. The atmosphere was a bit lively and noisy, but it added to the local charm. Overall, we were very satisfied with both the food and the service. We would definitely come back.

We made our reservations two solid months before we arrived in Florence and its a good thing that i did. In his confirmation reply, he suggested that I remind him a few days before and cautioned me not to be late or I would risk losing my spot. I reminded him 4 times. When we got there he pointed to the sign that said they were booked for the day and we were 10 minutes early! So I reminded him that I made reservations 2 moths ago. He stopped and said, "Are yiu Michael?" "Yes, I am!" He shook my hand and welcomed us in happily and sat us at a table. Bistecca alla Fiorentina is legendary and Trattoria Mario is the place to go for it. The hand cut and chop the bone to order. You can hear the ckeaver hitting that bone because the kitchen is semi open. You can see and hear and smell what is going on in there. You order, they bring out that raw porterhouse, 1 kg or 2.2 pounds, I approved it and 10 minutes later we were eating the best piece of beef that I have ever eaten, cooked perfectly rare! Delicious and definitely worth the 2 month reservation. We planned our activities in beautiful Florence around this perfect meal! Thank you, Mario and staff!

Truly amazing service by Mario’s familia! They were so sweet and friendly and the steak here was soft. Thought the steak would be too rare and tough but it tasted perfectly cooked and delicious. Had a nice hard sear and well seasoned. The tomato beans were also so comforting and tender. The place is quaint but bustling, felt like the real florentine deal!!

I'm a bit of a steak snob and stopped ordering it out as it's usually disappointing. The T-Bone here is amazing! Super soft inside, wasn't asked how I wanted it cooked which to me should be how every steak restaurant is. Came out rare. Very friendly and accommodating, managed to squeeze us in for an hour but would recommend pre booking a spot. Wish I'd come here earlier in our trip as I've only eaten the steak an hour ago and already want more. Various size steaks so if you want a bigger one ask for it, ours was 700g. Also had the meat pasta which was also delicious and the best one of our trip. Paid around 51 euros for the steak and pasta dish which I think is excellent value

Incredible hole-in-the-wall with authentic food and experience. We had the bolognese and Florentine steak. The pasta sauce was incredible - such a rich flavor. The steak was perfectly seasoned, if a bit on the rare side. We were lucky to get in for lunch without a reservation. It's not a big place, and the waiter said they are always full. We would definitely come back the next time we're here.

We had the T-bone for two, with beans and potatoes, the t bone was perfectly cooked and really tasty. I'm a bean person so I have to say these beans were amazing, the sauce was incredibly tasty. The atmosphere made me feel like I was in a family restaurant back in Portugal. We also had a chocolate and hazelnut slice of pie for desert which was incredible.

I didn‘t know it was a famous restaurant that has been running for 3 generations! You must reserve before you visit, otherwise you have to wait. The atmosphere is very local and all staffs are friendly. We had eaten already steaks at another restaurant, so we tried Pasta. It’s a reasonable price and delicious. You can see how to cook, and It seems they have pride in theirs. The dessert recommended was good! You can pay by card also.

Located in the heart of the city of Firenze they have serving times for lunch and dinner. Since I don't read Italian I am not able to figure out how to make reservations (is it online or in person) I showed up during lunch and saw they were booked. We went back 30 minutes before dinner and saw that they were booked for dinner. They said that if the guests were 5 minutes late I would get their reservation since I was 1st in line and I did. Dinner was delicious. I recommend splitting a course of meat and ordering veggies/ salad. Don't forget to pair with a glass of wine. You may share your table with another family. My son and I shared our table with another couple, and a gentleman, all who did not have reservations. It was a lovely evening and we did not have to share a check 😉 The food was amazing. I had beef and my son had the fried beef in tomato sauce.

Questa è la mia seconda visita in questa trattoria, e ho notato alcuni aspetti che meritano di essere evidenziati. Atmosfera e Comfort Il locale è piccolo e angusto, con tavoli spesso condivisi e sedute su sgabelli che rendono l'esperienza poco confortevole e poco rilassante. Gli spazi ridotti influiscono negativamente sul piacere del pasto. Qualità del Cibo e Servizio Nonostante i problemi di spazio, la qualità del cibo è eccellente. Ho apprezzato particolarmente la carne, i primi piatti e i crostini. Le cameriere sono state sempre cordiali, contribuendo a un servizio piacevole al tavolo. In particolare, le fiorentine sono ottime, servite con un filo d'olio che ne esalta il sapore. Il prezzo è adeguato alla qualità offerta. Gestione delle Prenotazioni: Un Punto Critico Un aspetto che necessita di miglioramento è la gestione delle prenotazioni via email. La comunicazione è risultata troppo informale e a tratti sgarbata, generando ansia nel cliente. Esempi includono richieste di conferma immediate ("rispondi veloce per la conferma") e un tono di insoddisfazione percepito al telefono in caso di lievi ritardi. La percezione è che la puntualità sia gestita con una rigidità eccessiva, quasi che il ritardo del cliente sia un'opportunità persa per il locale di assegnare il tavolo ad altri. Considerazioni Finali In sintesi, la trattoria eccelle per la qualità della cucina e la cortesia del personale in sala. Tuttavia, l'esperienza complessiva è penalizzata dal comfort limitato degli spazi e da una gestione delle prenotazioni che risulta stressante e poco orientata al cliente. Un piccolo gesto, come un amaro offerto, potrebbe contribuire a creare un legame più positivo con la clientela.

Ottimo il cibo. Super affollato anche in giornate feriali e difficile da prenotare. Aperto solo a pranzo. Si può capitare anche al tavolo condiviso ovviamente con i dovuti spazi. Ci sono due sale: una al piano strada e una cantina. L'ambiente è molto rustico e domestico e anche il cibo. Prezzi piuttosto economici e personale gentile e accogliente. Non ho apprezzato il bagno, troppo angusto per i miei gusti.

Crowded, squeezy and small tables. Do order the steak with zucchini. We had a 1.3kg bone in for 4. At €70+, you have a heart serving of a very good steak. However, if you like your meat medium, this is not the place. The cut was around 1.5 inch thick. While it had a good char, much of the center was raw. I would much prefer it not so thick and I get an even amount of charred and raw meat.

Visited in March 2013 — Trattoria Mario opens when it’s ready: I was seated ten minutes before the official opening, having already queued outside. The dining room fills quickly with close set tables and an air of expectation, service is courteous but brisk. The menu changes daily, drawn straight from the Mercato Centrale across the piazza. My pasta alla primavera was fresh ribbons of tagliatelle with tomato, basil, and pecorino - simple and flavourful (8.5/10). The roast chicken was tastefully seasoned, nicely caramelised, and still juicy (8.5/10). Straightforward, market-led Tuscan cooking that shows why Mario remains a Florence favourite.

The food is good but I had better fiorentina. Service is good and quick like they are ready to send you out for next customer. It’s not a place you sit down and enjoy meal. It’s more like you sit and have a quick meal in my opinion

Came in with a reservation and was luckily seated in the basement. Upstairs was way more crowded, and way warmer. Service was nothing special while we ordered and received our food. However there was more energy when we entered and left the restaurant. The biggest caveat was the wait. We waited well over 30 minutes for our food, probably closer to 40. The italians who came in after us got their food first, so there was maybe some bias there. Actually, 3 other tables that ordered after us got their foof way before us. Luckily, the food was amazing.

L'esperienza mi lascia un po' perplessa, più che altro per la location. Nonostante la prenotazione siamo stati fatti accomodare in una cantina al freddo, quasi all'aperto e non nella normale sala della trattoria. Intorno a noi c'era un sacco di polvere e umidità. Non è stata un'esperienza piacevole, soprattutto perché abbiamo dovuto mangiare con addosso i giubbotti in pieno inverno. L'antipasto di salumi formaggi e crostini era buonissimo, come i fagioli di contorno ma la costata era piena di nervi e non cotta come si deve. Amo la carne al sangue ma in alcuni punti era cruda, mentre l'esterno era croccante. Prezzi assolutamente modici e personale gentile. Non credo tornerei vista l'esperienza complessiva.

Ristorante molto folcloristico in cui si respira la "fiorentinità", situato vicino al mercato coperto. Abbiamo iniziato il pranzo con degli affettati misti, formaggi e fegatini. Nessuno di questi mi ha impressionato: tutto molto standard e mancavano i sapori "forti" attesi da tali pietanze. Successivamente, abbiamo provato la ribollita, una delle migliori che abbia mai assaggiato: molto cremosa e dal sapore intenso di verdure. Come contorni abbiamo preso fagioli, buoni ma non eccezionali, e patate al sugo, davvero ottime: saporite e tenere. Come secondi, abbiamo scelto il peposo, un piatto molto speziato che dovrebbe piacere; si percepisce la lunga cottura che rende la carne estremamente morbida. Infine, abbiamo ordinato due fiorentine: purtroppo, la cottura non sembrava omogenea. All'interno risultavano al sangue, come richiesto, ma alcune zone esterne erano bruciate, conferendo un sapore amaro. Tutto sommato, si tratta di un ristorante molto buono e caratteristico. Alcuni aspetti, a mio avviso, andrebbero migliorati, ma è sicuramente un locale in cui vale la pena tornare.

Ho ordinato come primo i paccheri al ragù ed erano buoni. La Fiorentina con filetto di buona qualità anche se onestamente ho mangiato carne migliore (sembra strano dirlo perché mi era stata consigliato questo locale storico). Purtroppo (magari un caso) alcuni punti della carne erano crudi e alcuni molto difficili da tagliare. Solo una parte era giusta al sangue e facile da tagliare. Dolce tipico, la schiacciata fiorentina, davvero buono. Il servizio andrebbe migliorato. Un sorriso in più e dare risposte più gentili alle richieste dei clienti é sempre apprezzato.
