Follie di focaccia Piazza Della Chiappa Reviews
Buzzing place in the old town with a jolly owner and great food. A very broad selection of unusual panini, the one with (raw) salsiccia, Gorgonzola and caramelised onion chutney blew us away, sensational. Also nice selection of half bottles of wine.
Very cozy place, in the old town, enjoyed tartar, big portion, beef stew satisfied, smaller plate. I guess that’s Italian way eating the main course, a lots of paninis, probably good, didn’t have a chance to try. Overall good place for a dinner and drinks or for the bites and appetizers.
You would be surprised with this place how good it is. Spezzetini dish was closest thing to a home cooked meal from my nonna . Good prices , nice atmosphere off a side street away from the busy beach walk. Highly recommend
It was one of the most wonderful meals I’ve had in italy.
A welcome find in a quiet pathway with helpful & friendly staff and delicious food. We had the lasagna and the beef stew as well as gluten-free focaccia and a raspberry mousse. Perfect food on a rainy afternoon. A glass of Rubio Rosso Toscano was a perfect pairing. We appreciated being treated well and with good humor. Will return!
Really good food and service. Gluten free option aviable. Even a waiter speaks Spanish!
Terrific little place serving a wide selection of Italian wines by very knowledgeable staff as well as delicious sandwiches and supporting food. All at reasonable prices. Best part … all the other patrons around us are Italian speaking! So this is not a tourist trap. My husband and I came here Sunday evening in mid May. Full menu of food available late night in the relatively quiet part of town. How to have a comprehensive cocktail list and I highly recommend a visit here especially if you want to try some fantastic wines incredible dishes. I chose the beef tarta w mozzarella and pistachios. Paired with a Fabio Motta pievi (blend of Merlot, Cabernet and Sangiovese). Ciao!🍷 My husband opted for Negroni and here they use Operarosa instead of Campari so it’s not as bitter. He enjoyed a salad. Highly recommend.
Incredibly kind and knowledgeable (I assume the owner) was extremely helpful on our arrival, with drinks and the menu. It was a lovely atmosphere and quick service. It was clean, the food was delicious and a very enjoyable visit. Food and drinks were priced very very reasonably. If we weren’t leaving tomorrow we’d definitely visit again! Thank you.
The pork sandwich was great! Limited option for large meals, it’s mostly small plates/tapas style but very extensive good choices of cold cuts and cheeses. The desserts was wonderful. The staff was very friendly and professional - even brought up the trays of desserts for us to pick from!

Un piccolo locale nel cuore della città, silenzioso e tranquillo. Una focaccia al formaggio davvero folle: impasto sottilissimo, tanto stracchino e condimenti abbondanti. Da provare anche le schiacci…
My other review today refers to the worst meal of our 4 week trip - and this is it! Ate here June 1st. Waiter informed only offering is hamburger. 3 choices. And also choose whether we want fresh beef (must be cooked rare) or frozen meat. We chose fresh. Arrived was raw cold mincemeat in a warm bun with lettuce and tomato. One bite, we returned both meals for more cooking. They shoved the whole thing (bun, meat, salad) into a sandwich press for another minute. Result? Slightly warmer inedible “burger”. Go anywhere else but this place!!
