L'Oste d'Oc Piazza Mario Bertone Reviews
Squisito.
Small and welcoming place, authentic food, excellent venison!
Very well received despite the language barrier, we were served quickly and in a warm atmosphere! Note to the boss who is super welcoming, we thank him for accepting dogs!
In a beautiful little square in a wonderful town. The appetizers are top-notch, and they're very kind!
We went to this restaurant, initially just for a drink, during a multi-day cycling trip. Arriving on a Sunday, it was the only one open, and despite it being the end of the season, the owner kindly agreed to serve us a meal. A big thank you to this gentleman; he really helped us out. I highly recommend this friendly place. P.S.: I hope he reads this review. "Thanks again, sir!" 😉
A very cozy place where we had an authentic dinner: simple ingredients, great taste. And an atmosphere and service that reminds of the good old days.
Excellent typical trattoria, very good prices and excellent food. Strongly recommended.
Located in the beautiful setting of Pietraporzio's main square, this charming, rustic establishment is in keeping with its surroundings. Excellent hospitality and customer service, starting with the bathroom, which features natural soaps made in the valley rather than the usual products. Only came here for a coffee; unfortunately, they ran out of cornmeal cake. Recommended.
Ottimo pranzo post-gita!
Servizio cortese e gioviale, regole Covid rispettate.
Nice restaurant with good food. My family and I go there every year for polenta, and I have to say, it never disappoints. It's a shame about the last time, when we didn't make a reservation and showed up at 6:45 PM and asked for a table for dinner. The owner, not very politely, replied, "We're not a nursing home; we serve dinner from 7:30 to 8:00 PM." Needless to say, we were disappointed. Despite everything, this won't affect the quality of the service, the food, or the location.
I've read negative reviews, but for me the experience was positive. We ate well, the service was very basic but pleasant, the restaurant is rustic and mountain-style, and the owners and staff are kind and polite. We didn't spend much, so I'm fine with that. Much better than getting robbed at Michelin-starred restaurants. We'll be back.
We stopped here for a quick lunch. The owner was very friendly and the service was prompt. There's not a huge selection, but between a nice plate of appetizers, a selection of first courses, and a couple of main courses with sides, you'll certainly find something good. Prices are average, it's a classic, unpretentious place, and it strictly follows COVID-19 regulations. Well done.
Simple local menu in a characterful small mountain village. Extremely friendly and helpful waitress who was thankfully eager to practice her English. The local food was of a very good standard.
We stopped after shopping at the local soap shop and decided to have lunch in this place. For me, it's clean, the staff are friendly, and the food is excellent at fair prices.
We went there at 12:20 and asked if we could eat. They told us they didn't have room until 1:30, and to come back later. Since it was about to rain, and we couldn't wait in the middle of the street, we went to the bakery and pastry shop across the street. We were pleasantly surprised; it was a delicious place where they made us an excellent focaccia with typical local cheese and cured meats, as well as a bag of delicious sweets. Instead of going to the restaurant, it might be worth going to the bakery across the street.
The place is next to the church on the main square of this charming and seemingly welcoming hamlet (SAFE PLACE!) It's around 5 PM. We sit outside and order an aperitivo, which is essential. A wine and a beer, along with a cheese platter. The girl at the bar, with little enthusiasm, brings us the drinks we requested with a handful of chips, saying she's out of cheese (and that's fine, good for them, it means they've been working!) Without offering us anything else and without giving us the chance to make any more requests, she goes off to chat with some friends in the square. What a shame 😔
posto assurdo. Sconsigliato.
Turned away twice by a young waitress who clearly didn't want to make much of a fuss. First time at 7:30 pm on Friday! Impossible to get a takeaway pizza! Second time on Sunday at 2 pm. Same scenario, but this time the kitchen was closed even for a takeaway pizza!! The Italian hospitality is gone! Luckily, some places still keep their doors open!!!
If I could give less than one star I would, it's a place without any sense, a huge arrogance in the service, non-existent portions, a menu bordering on embarrassing, and then you should know about Piedmontese tomini... you served some cheeses... bah
