Bar da Vola Piazza San Giovanni Reviews
Excellent food, some of the best I've had in Rome. Ox tail stew was particularly good. It seemed pretty much all pasta dishes could be prepared gluten free. It's been pretty easy finding gluten free options in the city but of all the places we've found I think Volare has been the best
It was really nice! Massimo was our Waiter and he was super nice and took great care of us. The view to the Colloseum is amazing and the Food was good as well. Not expensive either, like you would expect with the view! Get the Carciofo!
Loved this place! Ate here twice during my trip in Rome. I ordered the cacio e pepe and the pasta al pesto, both were lovely and a good price. The pasta dishes were great, however my dad was disappointed with the meat dishes, it’s not their strong point. But if you want some traditional pasta or pizza, I definitely recommend. The wine was also very nice, however the hugo spritz was too sweet - I couldn’t taste the prosecco or gin in it :( The best part was the service! Everyone was so lovely and welcoming :)
One of the best pasta dishes we’ve ever had! The prices were fair with no hidden charges, and the staff member who helped us was super friendly and attentive. Really great experience — highly recommended! Thanks, Sami
This is a hidden gem! Authentic real Italian chef prepares delicious food.. At first I was hesitant but later the taste was amazing! Loved it.. Plus there are no cover charges which is a bonus! Don’t go anywhere else as other places nearby are all commercial and not the real tasting Italian food.. I tried in many more places when I stayed here for 1 week and finally when I tried Lasagna, Spaghetti Carbonara and Pannacotta.. everything was very delicious and authentic..
Hello! I was hehe with my family and, it was a blast. The food is, i can say enthralling in taste. The waiters were really nice and helpful and smiling. You will feel like you are welcome. The place is really comfortable and wind is lowered in 99%. I hope you all will like it an enjoy your meal in Volare! Lays :^
We stopped by for a quick dinner and the stay was very pleasant. The staff was nice the food was lovely - especially spaghetti carbonara - I very much recommend trying them, the sauce and bacon were truly delicous. Also good thing is that service is included so the prices are final.
I had dinner at Volare Restaurant in Rome and enjoyed the experience. We ordered two types of pasta — Bolognese and Cacio e Pepe — both were creamy and well-prepared. The service was friendly and efficient, and the prices were fair for the quality of the food. Overall, I’d recommend this place if you’re looking for a quick, tasty meal in Rome.
Excellent food, I had the spaghetti all' amatriciana 🍝 and it was simply delicious, I added a little bit of crushed pepper 🌶️ for extra spiciness and it made it for me yummy 🤤 Other people in my party also enjoyed their choices : veggies soup, spaghetti carbonara and salmon pizza 🍕 Something we did notice is that the staff wasn't as friendly as in other places and we had to ask for a couple of things multiple time 😐... I mean it wasn't terrible but it could've definitely been better. The place is at walking distance from the colosseum so it's a very nice option before or after your visit!
Good food with an amazing view of the coliseum, not quite as touristy as you might expect this close to a major monument. It’s on a slightly more quiet street heading away from the bustling city centre This place has all the classics you’d expect from a restaurant in Rome and they do it well The staff is friendly and easy going and the food delivers. Having pasta while watching the coliseum and a glass of red wine is a great experience
