Ottimo ristorante, a Gardone Riviera vista lago, di fronte all'imbarcadero. Buone le pizze (del tipo sottile e croccante), ottimi i primi, soprattutto le linguine allo scoglio e la pasta mari e monti, piena di porcini e di gamberetti sgusciati. Solo il servizio potrebbe essere un po' più veloce, ma la splendida vista panoramica sul lago e il golfo di Salò e Gardone rendono l'attesa piacevole.

Su consiglio del titolare: Bigoli alla gardesana. Ottimi!

Abbiamo pranzato all'aperto e ci siamo trovati molto bene. Il titolare è persona capace, ospitale e simpatica. Servizio come deve essere. Buona qualità dei piatti e locations molto bella con vista lago. Da consigliare e sicuramente ci torneremo.

If you're anywhere near Lake Garda and don’t stop in at Ristorante Wimmer, you’re missing out on one of the absolute highlights of northern Italy. After two weeks of dining across Italy—and having visited this region many times before—I can confidently say: Ristorante Wimmer is the best restaurant I’ve been to. Full stop. We ate there nearly every day, and each visit was as magical as the last. The huge steak was grilled to perfection—tender, flavorful, and expertly seasoned. The seafood salad was fresh, delicate, and bursting with Mediterranean character. The mussels? Ridiculously good—rich, garlicky, and so moreish we ended up getting them for take-out more than once. And speaking of take-out—when we wanted a quiet evening playing cards on the deck of our hotel, Wimmer still had us covered. Not only did they package everything up beautifully, but the owners even gave us free wine when we came to collect our order. That kind of generosity and warmth is rare. The wine selection itself is lovely—elegant and local, and the perfect companion to every meal. And the desserts were the kind that make you linger a little longer at the table, savoring every bite and the stunning views across the lake. But what truly sets this place apart? The staff. They’re not just friendly—they're genuinely lovely, going out of their way to make you feel at home, remembered, and welcomed. After a few visits, it didn’t feel like we were dining out—it felt like we were visiting friends. Ristorante Wimmer isn’t just a restaurant. It’s an experience. A ritual. A reason to come back to Lake Garda again and again. And we will.

ne of the Best Restaurants on Our Italy Trip! We ended up coming back here almost every day—it was that good! Everything we tried was absolutely delicious, but the steak and mussels were our favorites . The quality, flavors, and warm atmosphere made it one of our favorite dining spots in Italy. We ate here 4 times during our holiday. Everything was excellent. Reasonably priced and tasty pizza and pasta, slightly more expensive steak, fish and chicken, all perfectly cooked and delicious. The staff were lovely and welcoming too. Couldn’t recommend highly enough. Probably best to book, although we managed without booking.

One of the best finds in Gardone! We had dinner there several times and the service was impeccable, the food was beautifully prepared, the desserts were decadent, and of course the view is spectacular. No matter how busy the restaurant was, the attention by staff was excellent. Twice during our dinners there were unexpected thunderstorms and downpours. This caused no fuss whatsoever. Patrons simply picked up their drinks and moved inside, and our meals were on a new table immediately. I cannot wait to return to Italy, and will certainly visit Wimmer’s again!

Great pizza with a breathtaking view. Initially I had mixed expectations about having pizza in a location with high tourist traffic, but pizzeria Wimmer served us great, authentic pizza. It was very delicious. It also worked during lunch hours when most of other places were closed, so it saved us from a heatstroke 🤗

The location is perfect it's in the centre of salo and on the terrace you have a view from a distance of the lake. The servers are really nice and really try their best to give you a place to sit. We didn't reservate and had to wait 10 minutes to get a seat. I would recommend reservating because this restaurant is very popular, and for good reason. The food was great and I couldn't praise it enough. The risotto and the spaghetti carbonara were so delicious! Love this place and for everyone near salo it's great.

Buongiorno Viewers, Location: bella. Da su una piazzetta che è di fronte al lago. Il locale ha i suoi anni, ci sono di sicuro dei lavori da fare per migliorare l'ambiente. Molto vicino al Vittoriale Degli Italiani. Comodità Sedie: 8/10. Servizio: cortesi e sorridenti. Ci hanno fatto sedere immediatamente e al pagamento ci hanno offerto il digestivo. Cosa non più scontata. Piatti: pensavo fosse come tutti gli altri ristoranti che fanno cucina italiana per stranieri ma mi sono dovuto ricredere. Ristorante pulito con piatti curati e buonissimi. Bella la vista dal tavolo sulla piazzetta direttamente sul lago. Ristoratore simpatico e preparato. Penso proprio di tornarci.

Ambiente top sul lago di Garda e servizio gentilissimo. Cibo nella norma anche se non ho provato il pesce che immagino fosse il piatto forte. Lasagna e ravioli alla zucca nella norma, dolce buono.

Locale piccolo ma accogliente. La simpatia del proprietario trasuda ovunque, come lui 🤣🤣🤣 Cibo davvero ottimo ed i prezzi, considerata la location, ottimi. Non diamo il massimo delle stelle perché abbiamo dovuto aspettare troppo i primi, a causa di un errore da parte della cameriera nell'inviare la "comanda". Pizza nella Media in una Cornice Piacevole: Una Sosta Senza Pretese. Ristorante discreto, situato in una posizione piacevole vicino alla piazza affacciata sul lago. Il personale è gentile e rapido nel servizio. La pizza, purtroppo, non spicca: è nella media, senza particolari pregi. Abbiamo ordinato due pizze, tre birre medie e una porzione di patatine, per un totale di €50. Se cercate un posto per una pizza veloce, senza troppe pretese, questo locale può fare al caso vostro, soprattutto se poi volete fare una passeggiata nella vicina piazzetta.

Situato in una posizione incantevole. Direttamente in riva al lago? Il ristorante offre una vista, mozzafiato, che rende la l'atmosfera suggestiva. Purtroppo la nostra esperienza complessiva è stata un po' deludente, per quanto riguarda il cibo, l'abbiamo trovato nella media. Le pietanze mancavano. Di quel tocco in più che ci si, aspetterebbe da un locale con un Natale posizione. Il punto più critico tuttavia è stato il servizio la cameriera che ci ha servito e si è dimostrata piuttosto scontrosa e antipatica. Ha risposto alle nostre domande in modo secco e quasi infastidito. Non so dire quale fosse il suo nome ma la persone in essere è bionda e abbastanza magra. Tuttavia, per un'esperienza culinaria più appagante un servizio cortese di consigli considerare altre opzioni.

Esperienza nella media come anche il servizio a parte la posizione la quale la trovo ottima mi aspettavo una pizza migliore la quale mi è sembrata una semplice pizza con quattro pezzi di salamino e stopposa per il formaggio, insomma una pizza surgelata buttata là.

Se state cercando un posto dove poter mangiare del cibo surgelato e non fresco siete nel posto giusto, altrimenti vi conviene continuare a camminare e cercare un posto migliore. Wimmer si trova in una bellissima piazzetta e il personale è gentile ma il cibo è davvero scadente.

Mi limito solo a dire che da quando ci siamo seduti a quando ci siamo alzati le cameriere non ci hanno né salutato al nostro arrivo e tantomeno alla fine cena. Cena che si è limitata ad una pizza mediocre. Nessuno ci ha chiesto se andava tutto bene o se volevamo un dolce o caffè. Eravamo due anonimi. Non mi pare vero che ci sia capitato una cosa simile, una situazione vergognosa! Eppure è successo!

If you’re looking for a proper pizza, just keep walking. The pizza tasted and looked like a Dr. Oetker frozen pizza if you know the reference, you’ll understand the disappointment. It’s surprising, and honestly quite disappointing, that a restaurant specializing in pizza could miss the mark on something so simple, especially in Italy.

Today I want to talk about our visit to Ristorante Wimmer in Gardone Riviera at Lake Garda. Unfortunately, I have never experienced such unfriendly and brazen service as I did there. We were served by a waitress who behaved absolutely inappropriately on all levels. After placing our order (which went fine up until that point), our food arrived, but unfortunately, the wrong dish was brought by another waiter. We pointed this out, and the waiter said he would take care of the exchange. Shortly afterward, the waitress came and initially wanted to argue with us, claiming that we had ordered incorrectly. There was no apology or anything of the sort, just a dismissive, 'No problem, but now you’ll have to wait.' After the meal, the waitress didn’t come to our table even once, and when she finally cleared the plates, she neither asked if we enjoyed the meal nor if we wanted anything else to drink. We then decided to pay promptly. The waitress brought the bill, collected the payment without saying a word, and walked away without a single comment. I have truly never encountered such poor behavior from a service staff member and cannot recommend a visit to Ristorante Wimmer to anyone. Despite the food being somewhat decent (though certainly not an Italian culinary masterpiece), I cannot award any stars due to the service. It’s a shame that such behavior is tolerated from a service staff member.

The service was great but the foods were disappointing. The pasta sauce was very sour, almost like left over tomato sauce. Pizza’s base was too thick, almost like a flat bread, and very oily. We thought we couldn’t have bad pasta and pizza in Italy but this restaurant let us down.
