Chipotle Placentia Reviews
Man this place should be known more best spicy sandwich I've had! Hot as cluck they say, The fries were like Chick-fil-A but actually seasoned and they were hot. Hidden gem will be back to try the mac n cheese.
The original chicken sandwich was really good! 1st time at this restaurant and John was great with recommendations. Will definitely be coming back!
First time here. Dave’s hot who? I got the sando hot and waffle fries. The meal was excellent, but more importantly, I must pay respect and attention to the help staff. Vivian is a true asset to the company. She was helpful patient pleasantly cordial it is evident that she truly enjoys her job and she’s happy to be there. It is refreshing to see this degree of work ethic in staff these days. Kudos to her if she deserves a promotion I hope she’s running the place. If not, she should. The pricing was okay given the temperature of inflation. Pretty much everything is seven dollars more than it should be right now…….Go Vivian!
Thanks Chance another great experience @ Clyde’s! Great food, exceptional service!
Heather was just amazing. She doesn’t stop smiling! She answered every question my husband and I had, and recommend ended the chicken and waffles. Very good. (Sauces are an extra charge. I didn’t expect them to be a dollar 😩 still yummy though) make sure you read the spicy level. It is pretty hot.
bring back the Potato Salad! Get rid of that trash coleslaw instead! If I come back and the Potato Salad isnt back on the menu- imma have to find a new hot chicken spot. The Clyde is delicious and worth the wait. But that coleslaw is junk- potato salad was fire.
From what I can tell a lot of these early reviews are rated because of the craziness that happened during opening week. I went during my lunch break mid-week and was able to get my meal in less than 5 minutes after ordering. The tenders I ordered were juicy and the 1930 heat level was just right. The waffles fries also seem to be prepared in a way that produces a satisfying crunch. Provided the experience can be consistently reproduced, I'll be visiting more frequently especially given this location is more convenient to access than the downtown Fullerton location. The staff on site at the time were friendly and also checked in on me to make sure the food tasted right and that I was having a good experience. Will definitely visit again, hopefully won't have to wait too long even during crunch hours.
Did the drive thru and had very friendly service! Only been here once before and the sandwich and fries were delicious and freshly made to order. Will be coming back again
We did the drive thru. They have different levels of spicy and non spicy chicken. The kids loved the shakes, the fries were nice and crispy and I had the chicken nuggets (naked) they were moist and so good. The prices were resonable, I recommend this place, so good! I will be back.
I will admit up front, I am not a "fast food" person, so when I initially saw a new hot chicken place open in Placentia, I didn't rush right in. However, after seeing their sign out front explaining their wait time is a little longer because their food is made fresh, I was intrigued. Now I only wish I hadn't waited so long to come in! The "skinny chick" was delicious - the chicken was juicy, the balance of medium heat with the slaw and pickles was paired perfectly with their house sauce, and the brioche bun was toasted just right...not too soft and with a slight crisp edge. If you're picky about your fries, the crinkle cut fries are definitely worth trying. They're lightly seasoned without taking away from the flavor of the fry itself. If you're a dine-in type of person, the restaurant is very clean and inviting with plenty of seating; however, if you prefer sitting outside, the patio is shaded and very comfortable, especially on a sunny spring day like today! The manager, Garet, and cashier, (I believe it was Hannah) were very helpful as this was our first time ordering. Garet even came out to where we were seated outside to make sure we were enjoying our food. While we ate, another customer walking in asked us about our order - it was his first time in, too, and he admitted it looked too good to pass up! Don't let the drive-thru and appearance fool you like it did me - the food is fresh, service is personable, and we will be back!
Heather is amazing Great customer service, smiled and made jokes with the family. Made sure we had what we wanted and brought our food to us. Very nice girl. Food was hot, tasted good. Has a lot of TVs for games. Will come back.
Clyde’s is single handedly the best establishment in the area. The workers handled the massive influx of people ordering on their grand opening day like PROS. They were kind and did their very best to help satisfy each customer’s chicken cravings and questions. Their chicken and waffles are literally incredible, best in the nation, you will NOT regret eating it. Highlight of my WEEK, maybe my month! If I have a birthday party this year, I am asking for it to by Clyde’s Hot Chicken themed. CLYDE FOR PRESIDENT!
To be honest, I’ve tried many different hot chicken spots, and most have left me disappointed — bland chicken, dry meat, and a feeling of total unsatisfaction. Clyde’s Hot Chicken, on the other hand, never disappoints. They soar above the competition in flavor, portion size, friendly atmosphere, and amazing service. I drive all the way from Corona, CA — a 35-minute trek down the dreaded 91 freeway — just to enjoy their incredible food with my wife and kids. My family loves the OG Hot, while I go straight for the 1930🔥, a perfect mix of heat, spice, and a touch of sweetness that hits just right. If you’re looking for a hot chicken experience that delivers every single time, Clyde’s Hot Chicken is the place.
Food came out hot and fast. Chicken was juicy. I've never eaten at this chain before, but it had a lot of flavor! You definitely get so much food that you have to take some home in a combo. The original has a spicy and minimally sweet flavor, so it was good.
A fun spin on a chicken sandwich. I sampled the original chicken sandwich. It had a kick of spice and was a bit on the greasy side. Halfway through the sandwich I tried the side of sauce which quelled the spicy kick. The eating area has a feel of a mini sports bar with large TV's playing ESPN or live sports. Clean eating area. Restrooms are clean. There is a small outside dining area. Friendly and courteous staff. This location also has a drive through. Worth a try especially if you're used to other chicken sandwich fast food eateries.
Great place for lunch had there skinny chick perfect organic abf chicken sandwich had good music and sports center on TVs couldn’t ask for more on a lunch break
The food is good, the Original spice chicken tender were nice and crispy. Cashier friendly and helpful. Overall good experience. Chance was nice; was determined to make the experience better upon seeing the original rating of 4.

The owner John was super nice ! Came to make sure my friend & I were taken care of. He was awesome & great first experience at Clyde’s.
Clyde’s Hot Chicken is always so good! The owner, John was so kind and made sure we had everything we needed. On top of that, the chicken is always so fresh and delicious! I would argue that Clyde’s Hot Chicken is better than Dave’s Hot Chicken! 10/10 experience always!!!
First time eating at this restaurant and had a great experience. The manager went out of his way to make my first visit enjoyable and memorable. I had the OG chicken sandwich (hot as cluck) and it was fantastic. Just the right amount of spice. Everything was made fresh, the restaurant was clean, and the staff were super friendly. Even have TVs inside with the game on to pass the time while you wait for your order. Nothing but good things to say about this place and can't wait to return... maybe for breakfast. Chicken and waffles...Check it out. You wont be disappointed!
Hidden in the back of the lot, but completely worth the little detour. The management and staff are SUPER friendly and attentive. And the sandwiches are ( dare I say) better than Chick-fil-A (*gasp*)... Tried the Skinny Chick and it does not disappoint!

Clyde's would be a perfect 5 star for me, except for their app using hidden fees. Their own app charges you a $1 to use it. You read that correctly - they charge you to use their own app for ordering. You can call for free, or simply use Clover here on Google at no charge. They add the fee in on the last screen, & there's no mention of it anywhere. You would never notice unless you click on the itemized prices. This is a complete fail. Fix your ordering app Clyde's! Also, it would be nice to be reimbursed for the hundreds of loyalty points they erased from my account when the app updated.
First time trying this place and it was pretty good. Pretty steep for $18 a meal. Does not compare to Main Chick, Daves Hot Chicken, Howlin Rays, or Daybird but good food nonetheless.

We have been fans since Clyde’s came to Placentia! Our last several visits have been frustrating since the “machine is down “ when try to collect the earned points.
Clyde's is a pretty good chicken strip place. The heat options are tasty, but be aware they are hot. It's on the expensive side for what it is, which is ok if you catch it on a good day. However, sometimes the portion sizes are like half of what they typically are, the chicken can be severely overcooked, etc.. it might be a training or staffing issue. That said, the staff are always very helpful and friendly, it's mainly a food issue. Your mileage may vary.
The Original chicken spice is just right. The spicier versions are also great but tonight, Original was perfect. Among a few individual meals, we also ordered a Family pack, asked them to omit the macaroni salad as no one cares for it and, why waste food....we also asked for the pickles to be on the side as not everyone enjoys pickles. They ended up giving us extra, extra, extra pickles on the side which is great, but the containers leaked all over everything so the point of having them on the side was now pointless. Did I mention, extra pickles? The chicken sandwich buns and bread under the tenders in the family pack were all soaked in pickle juice. We also got the macaroni salad we asked them not to give us. :( The waffles are tasty however, a bit on the soft side, no crisp on the outside at all. They were instead limp and almost soggy. Guess these are perhaps best when dining in. May need to reconsider the to-go packaging so it doesn't increase the humidity on the ride home. While the chicken is good, this experience was pretty disappointing. After spending close to $90.00 in take-out, I am not sure we will do that again. I don't bother to call the store to complain, as I don't want someone messing with my food over reporting disappointing meals. Oh well. :(
First time here and was greeted by a very enthusiastic employee. I was disappointed in the quality of the chicken sandwich. It was not exceptional and the soda machine did not mix the soda and syrup properly. I prefer Carl's Jr spicy chicken to Clydes. Sorry.
Fan of clydes from the original fullerton location and went here since it was slighty closer for me. I think the food is not as good here compared to fullerton. I had an order of wings and the strips but the wings came out burnt and the strips were very thin on the batter. The waffle fries were also very overdone. It felt like i was eating potato chips. The customer service is very good but the food does not back it up. I hope to see some improvements in the future
I'm used to 5 min in a line for nuggets and fries from chick FIL A. I was the only customer at the time and it took 10 min to get the same things. No crunch just big nuggets with heat. The fries saved it because they were similar to Chick FIL A. Would only visit for emergency.
U guys should put tape on the drinks for uber eats deliveries 😭 now idk if yall didn’t fill it all the way or if my driver took a sip of my drink 😭😭😭 ima drink it anyways cuz i paid for it but come on guys please 😭😭😭

Clyde’s got rid of the bites which were mostly what we got. The sandwiches are great if you’re in the mood. I don’t care for the tenders so it sucks the bites are gone. Feels like they got bought by private equity the way they are cutting back on stuff…
Clyde's Hot Chicken - Yorba Linda Dropped by Clyde's for a Father's Day weekend DoorDash pickup. The spot was completely empty, and the team at the counter was friendly and approachable, which I appreciated. The place looked clean, but a bunch of the soda taps were out of order, which felt kind of lazy--especially on a weekend like this. That kind of oversight always reflects back on the GM or whoever's running the show. Small detail, but it sets the tone. I grabbed the order, confirmed it in the app, and as I was pulling away, someone came rushing out to flag me down--turns out I was given the wrong order. I went back in, and it turned into a whole scene. Multiple staff digging through receipts, checking, swapping, removing items--it was a hot mess, no pun intended. They stayed polite, which I respect, but it was incredibly inconvenient. While I was there, another customer was asking for a couple small sauces, probably to go with her meal. After all that confusion, they still mentioned she had to pay extra for dips. Like come on--it's sauce, not liquid gold. I get it--business is business. But if you're trying to build repeat customers, you comp the damn sauce and let them know it's usually a charge. That woman ended up digging through her purse to cough up change over something that should've been a gesture of goodwill, especially after the sloppy service. The food might be good, but details like this matter. If you want people to come back, act like you care about their time as much as they care about yours.
Slow drive thru line. Easily 20 min wait with just one car in front and one behind me. The girl in the window was nice and offered a free shake for our time but it's probably the last time we'll come because of the wait time.
Great chicken but the service is ridiculously BAD ! I was the only person in the drive through and waited 7 minutes before thinking maybe the intercom was broke so I parked and went inside. No body else was in line, there were 3 employees standing around talking and looking at their phones. One made eye contact with me and then went back to looking at his phone. I stood there for another 3 minutes while they chatted with each other before I decided to walk out. It’s a shame the employees could care less about anything resembling service. I like the chicken but won’t be going back !
I arrived at this location for dinner through the drive Thur and was greeted but the ordering process Felt like if I was the employee I proceeded with ordering and asked for a four piece And she replied with okay! Am normally asked if combo or not , style of fries and drink but wasn’t even asked as I stated it felt like I was talking the order and working Employee didn’t seem any interest an engaging with customer or being there to work Overall customer service is poor and can improve Food was great !
I really want to like this place and support the business because the sandwiches taste great. Unfortunately, the service is consistently very slow. On our last visit we waited about 20 minutes in the drive-through with no cars ahead of us just for one sandwich. The food is good, but the wait time makes it hard to come back regularly. I hope they’re able to improve the speed of service because the quality is definitely there.
Chicken always tastes good, but the portion size are 1/3 smaller than before. For 6 piece chicken wings, for $12.99, I got 4 tiny wings with 1 small drummette and one regular size drummette. The fries serving also small. So sad. I made a comment to the person at the counter and she said that’s what the company instructed them to do. I don’t think I will come back. 😟

We are the only ones in the restaurant and they still haven’t brought our food. It’s literally been 30 minutes plus. They have lots of workers so I don’t know what’s the hold up, maybe they’re slacking off. They are young workers so I wouldn’t doubt it
Horrible. I’ve only been to Clyde’s a handful of times and it seems every time I go they’re out of something. Today I placed my order for an original sandwich combo. Come to find out no slaw. Seriously! How can u have a Clyde’s burger without slaw? Not only that, no ketchup, no potatoe salad no Mac n cheese, and once I got home I notice I had no sauce on my burger. How can you serve one type of sandwich and be out of everything that makes it good. Horrible experience. I will not be eating at Clyde’s ever again. If I could rate this experience a ZERO I would.
Waited over 10 minutes in the drive thru. Both times I have been to this location, there have only been 2 workers. One of the sandwiches was not prepared right and none of them had lettuce. Will not be visiting this location ever again.
I waited over 10 minutes just to pay and still waiting to get my food. Have been waiting for 20 minutes now in the drive thru and im the only one here. Ridiculous!
I came in through the drive through and was waiting for 5 minutes and no one greeted me. I pulled up and there was a truck waiting, waited for 5 minutes and he also didn’t move. Came inside and there’s 3-4 workers standing around talking. Took 25 minutes to get a combo.
Spent $4.34 and waited 20 minutes for this. I could understand if the store was busy. There was hardly anyone in the restaurant and no one in the drive-thru. The flavor and quality were really good, I got the 2nd hottest seasoning, and it was definitely spicy. I don't think 6 worth the wait or price, though. EDIT: to the owner who replied about the food being made fresh, I would understand that if I wasn't the first person who had ordered in an empty resteraunt and drive thru, the wait time was ridiculously long for a mini sandwich. Also, the price for a chicken slider like this is far too high, I can go to Popeyes and get a full-size spicy chicken sandwich for like $2 more than Clydes EDIT #2: Just stopped in to use the restroom. When I was done, there was no soap in the soap dispenser. Tried to go up to the counter to let them know. A young couple in front of me was trying to get the attention of the young woman working who was completely ignoring them. They said, "Excuse me," several times with no acknowledgment, not even "I'll be with you in a moment." So I decided to try and help get their attention as well, which they also ignored until finally after asking for assistance over and over she came up to the couple who was missing an order of fries. She just nodded and walked away, ignoring me, trying to tell them that the restroom was out of soap. Absolutely terrible customer service as usual. All the more reason to stay away from this poorly managed establishment.
This restaurant is way overpriced for a chicken sandwich not the best deal in town I don't recommend it very greedy prices
I'm leaving this review immediately after ordering from the drive thru. I ordered a couple chicken sandwiches, fries and a side of Waffles for my family. The chicken sandwiches were ok. The fries were way overcooked. The worst of it were the waffle squares. There was a piece of melted plastic inside one of the waffle squares. I definitely won't ever be going back and will tell friends to avoid.

Stopped by other day and Gee where do I start? First my food was horrible burnt buns that were somehow cold and fries hard was like eating chips or rocks. Think I interrupted a movie cashier was watching and man the music from kitchen is too loud I can here the cuss words glad I didn't bring my child to eat. On top of it all the wait time was way too long for a sandwich combo. I've visited all the other locations won't return to this one live close by I'll make the drive to other stores. If I'm going to wait that long cook my food properly!
