The Market on Main Placerville Placerville Reviews
11/10. The Market on Main is home to the best breakfast I’ve had in 2025. Holy smokes, the Loco Moco is my new standard for a top tier breakfast, and the Chilaquiles were equally divine. Chef Anthony, his wife and the entire Team here are overwhelmingly kind, warm and welcoming. Cannot recommend enough.
If you're looking for a place that feels like a cozy, welcoming home kitchen, this is it! The food is absolutely incredible. We indulged in their brunch menu, and every single dish was a winner. Beyond the delicious food, the staff really made our day – they were so friendly and accommodating. I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant!
They have gluten free pitas for gyros, and gluten free pizzas, aka flat breads, but they're actually thick crust! First thick crust GF pizza I've ever found in the Sacramento area! It was very good :)
Amazing food and great service. So friendly and I had a great time and we will definitely be back soon!!!
Great food, great people, great location! They carry wonderful premade food that I can take home and easily heat up and they make great hot food too. They have yummy specials for breakfast, lunch and dinner that I crave. Not to mention the best homemade cookies! I’ve loved everything I’ve eaten from here. And they carry great gluten free options and organic and natural food choices. The owners really care about the quality of the ingredients and the products and are always there making sure everything is running smoothly. It’s got a classic Placerville charm with both indoor and outdoor seating and is even dog friendly!

Absolutely delicious! Empanadas, small bites, and specialty market. Indoor seating is atmospheric. Outdoor dining is dog friendly. Great family owned restaurant.
Came here for memorial day lunch. A really cozy restaurant with a nice atmosphere and friendly staff. I enjoyed my gyro so much I had to get a second one! The meat was yummy, great flavor and the veggies were nice and crisp. The cider on tap was really good too. A great place to have lunch and relax before shopping around town!
Super yummy! Ordered the elote poppers and fugazzeta empanada and both were amazing. The chimichurri and dip that comes with the poppers were flavorful. My only complaint is that the poppers fell apart before you could even try to pick them up.
Came here for lunch and we’re so happy we did. We had soup and empanadas with beans and rice. Everything was extremely delicious, super high quality. They have a great selection of beer and wine too. And they are dog friendly (and absolutely love pups). Finally, the owners are lovely - we enjoyed chatting with them. Highly recommend!

I met a friend mid afternoon last Thursday, this having been the first time either of us had been here. We sat outside, which normally be great, but the heat was too much. We really only had drinks and a snack, but all was good. The young lady was very friendly and I love that they had their wee dog there! Will definitely go back when it's a bit cooler.
One of the best restaurants I’ve ever had! The service, food, and price were all great! Hats off to Anthony and Charissa!
Amazing flatbread pizza. The pretzel was bomb, the chicken bake to die for!! Better than Costco and the corn poppers yum!!!
Such amazing food, made with love that I can feel & taste! I just keep going back, seriously can’t get enough, thank you Anthony and Carissa for alway being so welcoming and friendly, I love that❣️
Great food in a friendly, family owned place, easy to access off 50. Highly recommend the gyros.
Thanks so much for the wonderful food and service you dish out there, I love to get like the loco moco plate, one of my favorites i recommend trying, and take some soup to go.
The Market on Main is such a fun and delicious spot! The vibe is warm and welcoming, and the staff is super friendly. The food was amazing — the chicken and waffles were on point, and the huevos rancheros were packed with flavor and cooked perfectly. Everything tasted fresh and homemade. We’ll definitely be back!
The best food I have ever had in Placerville. I’m currently in a soup coma from the chicken Marsala soup. I have NEVER had anything like it, and am warm to my bones! Thank you owners for being the most hospitable and kind.

Great service, but very mediocre food. We ordered the cheese flatbread, gyros and tacos. The food came very late, but the staff were very polite and apologetic. No major complaints about the food but it was very forgettable. It's in a great location, and small but cozy atmosphere.
(Update: I got food poisoning from the taco😃 threw up all day and one taco is all I ate) Disgusting tacos. The picture says it all with the squared fake chicken. They said it was marinated. What’s marinated about it ? It was so dry and didn’t have any flavor they should call them white tacos because it’s flavorless cubed frozen chicken on dry weird tortillas that were hard. They were 15 dollars I couldn’t even finish the first one it’s disgusting wasted my money I wanted to try the soup but the tacos along with the pizza was like 35 dollars for two people. A soup was gonna be 13 dollars. I wouldn’t have paid for this if they didn’t take my cash first. Don’t know what to do about buying disgusting food they lied about don’t know what to do except leave a horrible review. My moneys gone and I still didn’t get to eat these are dry flavorless and disgusting the chicken is frozen and squared it’s gross.
