LaPiazza Plainview Reviews
Trying to try every pizza parlor on long islands regular cheese slice. This is a top notch 5 star regular slice. So far out of ...well gotta be hundreds...this is top 10 imo.
Love their buffalo chicken pizza, chicken marsala pizza, capellini cakes, Caesar salad, chicken parm and penne ala vodka. I don't think you can go wrong with anything here.
My wife and I stopped to get dinner since we were visiting our family from New York being that we live in Florida and Everyone knows you can’t get any good pizza in Florida. We dined in and our waitress Jules was super sweet and I asked what she recommended and she told me to get Hot honey and it was absolutely delicious and the service was amazing! We definitely will be coming back the next time we are in New York.
The service was spot on. Everybody was so nice. The food was delicious. I had the Caesar salad salad and the crème brûlée and I had pasta. It was really good. I really like the music and it was a little dork inside was relaxing.
I did my order online and picked it up from the restaurant. The pizza was very good. I picked 2 single slices, one Buffalo chicken, and the other was their chicken marsala. Huge slices. They were a little unorganized and could not fine my order at first but they did. They were very busy at the time. I will order from LA Piazza again 🙂
We had the daily special, the hot honey pizza, and it was authentic, made fresh in front of us, and the ingredients were so authentic and fresh, the pizza tasted out of this world. It was a thin crust pizza and could literally be folded in half with the juices dripping off the sides and the aromas filling the room. Excellent! The Greek salad that we ordered to go with it was similarly magnificent in ingredients and taste.
I go to La Piazza very frequently, and it has become one of my go-to restaurants in the area. It’s truly a great spot for groups, family dinners, or a casual night out. One of the things I appreciate most is how accommodating they are — even without a reservation, I’ve never waited more than about ten minutes to be seated, which is pretty rare these days. The staff is always friendly, attentive, and efficient, making the whole experience easy and enjoyable from start to finish. The food at La Piazza is consistently amazing. Everything tastes homemade and fresh, from the pasta dishes to the chicken entrées and the pizzas straight out of the oven. Their Italian Wedding Soup special deserves a special mention — it’s absolutely delicious! The broth is rich and flavorful, the meatballs are tender, and the greens add the perfect balance. It’s easily one of my favorite soups anywhere, and I always look forward to it when it’s on the menu. The portions are generous, the prices are reasonable, and the atmosphere is warm and lively without being too noisy. It’s the kind of place where you can bring clients, friends, or family and always know you’ll have a great meal. If there’s one thing I’d skip, it’s dessert — it’s not always as fresh or impressive as the rest of the menu. But overall, La Piazza is a standout for consistently delicious Italian food, excellent service, and a welcoming environment. Highly recommend! 🍝🍷
La Piazza is our local Italian restaurant, and while I’ve only been there once or twice, those visits left a good impression. So far, I’ve only tried their pizza slices, which were fresh, flavorful, and exactly what you want from a good New York–style slice. On one visit, I ended up spending around $100 just sampling various pizza slices and a few other Italian specialties from their display — things like calzones and spinach-stuffed rolls (the kind of baked goodies every good pizza shop should have). Everything was well-made and satisfying. I haven’t tried their full Italian kitchen menu yet, and to be honest, I’m not sure why. Maybe it’s because at first glance, the sit-down dishes seemed a little on the expensive side — but that’s probably unfair since I haven’t given them a proper chance. It’s a shame, really, because if their pasta and entrees are anything like their pizza, I’m probably missing out. One of these days, I’m going to make a point of going back to explore more of their menu. Until then, I can say this — La Piazza makes great pizza and solid Italian bites, and it’s worth a visit if you’re in Plainview.
Service was very good and they accommodated our large party when we got there since they don't take reservations. Salad and desserts were great but the chef may had an off day. The soup, calzone and some entrées were just meh. Delsy was a great server and so patient with us, especially with our kids.
The amount of anxiety I experienced on a Friday night ordering a few slices to go was unreal. Too many guys behind the counter yelling at and banging into each other. No plates given with the slices. It was basically take your slices and go. There are better (and less expensive) places to eat in the area.
I am currently writing a review as I am standing outside on a line that is wrapped around the restaurant. Awful is not even the word to describe my dissatisfaction with how our order has been handled. Not only did we order ahead and was given a time for pick up, once we got it the counter the order was not ready and we are still waiting for our food. We are now 45 minutes past our original pick up time. We also witnessed 2 employees, one was crying and the other told her to just relax and don’t worry about the customers. We are spending over 150 dollars in food and to hear that is terrible. I have been coming here for decades and I can say that I will never be back. This was bad business in my eyes.
