A pleasant place to eat and spend quality time with family. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The food was good, though not spectacular. I tried many dishes, and I think I'll give other options a chance next time. If you're in the area, I recommend stopping by; the prices are reasonable.

A very pleasant and quiet place to go for a family meal, although there are times and days when it can be quite crowded, and you may even have to wait. But it's worth it; the seasoning is delicious, the service is good, the place is airy, and there's an area where you can see crocodiles, turtles, and fish. There's plenty of parking, and they don't charge for it.

Very good seasoning, the service is a little slow, affordable prices, and it has a very nice place to walk after eating, but on weekends it is very full so you will wait at least an hour or more to get a table.

A very good option for seafood, trout, and dishes prepared in the traditional way from this area of Veracruz. The quantity is plentiful, and the overall quality of the food is 4-star. The service is attentive and efficient. The kitchen can take a while when the place is full, but the preparation time is acceptable. The added attraction is a trout farm with a couple of lizards and turtles. They also have a very large and well-maintained garden, perfect for a stroll after eating; the views from the garden are very pleasant. I recommend bringing mosquito repellent in the summer.

Me gustó la visita, solo recomendaría que si se pide comida para 2 tiempos, se de un espacio de tiempo entre plato y plato, ya que la comida estuvo muy rica, pero en mi caso, me sirvieron tanto el caldo de pescado como el pescado frito al mismo tiempo, y ambos calientes por recién hechos ( lo cual esta muy padre!) Pero era imposible comerlos juntos, y si se dejan enfriar, en especial el pescado, ya no sabe bien por el aceite frío..

A pleasant, clean restaurant with affordable prices and parking. Upon arrival, you're greeted with tortilla chips and salsas; the green salsa is delicious. The seasoning varies depending on the dish. The mojarra consum is tasty and has a wonderful flavor, but the chipotle mojarra is just a thin smear of salsa on top, resulting in two distinct tastes. The breaded fish fillet is bland (though the table's special salsas will fix that). They have children's menus and a variety of desserts. If you have a sweet tooth and aren't sure what to order, the chocolate brownie with ice cream is a delight!

This restaurant is tucked away on a curve just outside Plan del Río, on the way to the port of Veracruz. There's a sign, but it's easy to miss. So, it's best to ask for directions; everyone knows it. It's nestled in a large garden, surrounded by ponds for raising carp. You might also spot a lizard or two, but don't worry, they're well protected. The dining areas are spacious, designed for family gatherings. The atmosphere is pleasant, the coastal climate is warm, and the service is good. They have a well-stocked menu of seafood, fish, and meats, as well as traditional dishes. The most appealing thing is the incredibly affordable prices; you won't believe it. I can tell you that, generally, they're about half the price of the same dishes in Xalapa or the port of Veracruz. Plus, the food is delicious, and the portions are generous. Oh, and the restrooms are very clean, which is important. Its name comes from a fort built by the Spanish royalist army between the 17th and 18th centuries to protect travelers on the royal road from Veracruz to Mexico City, which still passes through here. The fort still exists and can be visited. It's located across from the restaurant; just a 5-minute walk uphill. A highly recommended spot for a pleasant family outing.

The food was freezing cold, the service was terrible and slow. It's not my first time here, but it will be my last. I thought maybe it was just a one-time thing, but it's happened three times now, and the food was bland and tasteless. Don't come!
