Amazing! First these tacos are big. I could not finish all the food I ordered. The curry drizzle on the fish n’ chips was a perfect touch. The smash burger could have used a little more sauce but I like messy burgers.

The flavors are always a hit! They have an Indian/Mexican fusion going on! I got a buffalo bowl, chips and queso and mild tikka tacos. Service was super fast and friendly. The restaurant was clean! The restroom was clean! It was busy but organized.

I love the food and the vibe is really chill with nice patio seating. My favorite tacos are the chicken tikka and mexicali shrimp with lettuce wrap. Their frozen margaritas and ranchwater are so good - they're tasty and they dont skimp on the alcohol content. The people here are so sweet and take great care of me - thank you Isabella, Rebecca, Anthony, John, and Jack! I am a regular here - we know each other by name at this point. 😁

Being a vegetarian, I ordered the Fried Paneer Tacos, and let me tell you- they are absolutely amazing! Hands down, one of the best tacos I’ve ever had. The flavors were spot-on, and each bite was just divine. The vibe here is fantastic, and I genuinely love this place. It has quickly become my go-to spot whenever I’m in the mood for tacos. If you haven’t tried it yet, you’re seriously missing out. The Fried Paneer Tacos are a must-try!

Gourmet tacos in a fast casual setting. The fried paneer taco is the best. I will also recommend the buffalo chicken tacos. They had an amazing felafel taco but it’s no longer on the menu. Decadent red velvet cake to finish it off.

My first time at Velvet Taco was a success!! The manager was really nice and attentive. Very awesome music and so clean! I ordered the chicken and waffle it is so savory!! Elote guac and chips is sooo good!! I also got the crisp tots and local egg choice it’s amazing my favorite by far!!! I wish I could order the whole menu I will be coming back!!

Pleasantly unique compared to normal taco places. I tried the sweet chili shrimp and beer-battered cauliflower. The softshell tacos were flavorful and mouthwatering. The restaurant offers a fusion of tastes through inventive recipes. The ambiance, with its lively pink tones, exudes a funky vibe. (Ode to Barbie maybe? 🤣) The staff was exceptionally friendly too!

We came on a Friday night, it was comfortably full. Enough people to make it feel “happening” but not the point were you can’t find tables. Cam took our order and he was great and very polite. The tacos were ok, some better than others but the tortillas were cold. The corn was good.

Velvet Taco in Plano is a great place to have lunch or dinner. The staff are some of the coolest people around, always friendly and welcoming. I often go here with my family or order through the app and bring it home, so we've experienced both dining in and takeout. The food is usually always good, making it a reliable spot for a tasty meal. However, it's far from excellence due to the fact that they are always really forgetful when it comes to orders. This can be frustrating, especially since it's not cheap and can be pretty taxing on the wallet. Other than that, Velvet Taco is pretty good, and I give it 4 stars.

This place is meant to be a premium taco shop, serving fairly expensive tacos with top end ingredients. Service was overall good. This place runs like a well oiled machine. The food on its own is very good. The tacos, were good, to say the least. The iconic vegan Velvet Cake was great, since it was a great accommodation for my allergies. The sitting area is good, especially outside. Everything appears clean. Overall this restaurant wasn't anything too special, but was a great and filling meal nevertheless.

Being a vegetarian, i had paneer taco here but it tastes like non-veg, may be its fried in same oil as of chicken or fish, i hate it. If this is the case, they shohld have seperate fryers for vegetarian.. i left the food behind, cava /Chipotle are better!

Don’t recommend coming here. While the food is good here, the service completely ruins it. I’ve been to this velvet taco a couple of times already and every time I go, the employees treat you terribly—As if you’re an inconvenience for being there. I come around 4 o’clock usually, not even close to closing times. I’ve gone in person multiple times, and they always seem as if they don’t want to take your order, give you refills of chips—Anything really. I’d rather drive 10 more minutes to go to the 75 Campbell location—Good food and good service. Please work on this Plano management!

I’m a returning customer and have been here multiple times as I always enjoy the food. I will say I only go to this location because it’s close to my gym and work. Every time I dine here, I am always served by a short Hispanic man and an older-aged white guy. They both always seem annoyed at me when I ask for simple things or whenever they take my order. At first, I didn’t think much of it, but after multiple times (at least 5+), it seems like a constant behavior. One time, I stood at the front waiting to order for more than 5 mins with no one else in the store, and one of the cooks looked at me and made eye contact with me, but didn’t get anyone to take my order. I stood there waiting patiently until the short Hispanic man appeared from behind the counter where he was checking something, maybe cleaning, and then took my order. He seemed annoyed that I stopped him from being able to finish what he had to take my order. I work in the service industry and have opened multiple restaurants, and I know if some days it’s bad, but to be consistently treating a customer who spends a lot of money at this location very rudely is unacceptable. Today, when I called this location to fix my Uber order, the person speaking picked up the phone and was very dismissive, and after I told him what I needed fixed, just said “okay” and hung up the phone. I don’t know how this store is run, but it seems to me that I’ve been the only one who received bad service, so I don’t know if it’s racially motivated or if I did something wrong. But I’m not coming to this location again.
