Qdoba Plano Reviews
I tried QDOBA for the first time because I’ve heard great things about them! As a big fan of their competitors like Chipotle and Moes, I was curious to see if they can compete, and yes they can! The place is very clean, open and inviting. The staff were friendly and they were generous with the portions! The steak and all their ingredients tasted fresh, their bowl size is actually better than their competitors, and reasonably priced! I wish this place wasn’t too far from my house otherwise I would eat here every week! 10/10 would recommend!
This was an unexpected treat today. Had to stop unexpectedly to hop on the computer and handle some work crisis. I was just going to get an iced tea with my 5 year old but when I walked in the food smelled to good to ignore. One of the managers, John, came over and suggested that I try a bowl with steak and this Diablo cheese sauce - which I did. It was delicious. Good enough that I saved half of it to take home so my wife could try it. She loved it too. When we were at the register, they my daughter if she wanted anything and she asked for plain rice and chips which they gave to her complimentary, along with a complimentary quesadilla for her to try for them. Very nice. I'll definitely be coming here a few times a week!
Ordered my first ever bowl from Uber Eats. I’m genuinely wondering how people could ever go to Chipotle, because this was some of the best food I’ve ever had!!! Flavorful chicken & the street corn was amazing. Beans cooked well, fajita veggies were delicious. Even the rice was flavorful! I will 100000% be returning here.
This is hands down my favorite Qdoba! Everyone is so nice here and the service is always fast and great. I loved my chicken bowl today and it was extra yummy with the red onions as well! Mmmmm! Highly recommend this spot!!
I said lord let me tell you this place is the holy grail of American “Mexican” chain restaurants. I’ll take this 100 times over chipotle any day, and it gives Moe’s a run for their money. Prices aren’t bad at all and the quality, as well freshness of the food is amazing. Not skimpy on the portions either, generous with the meats, cheeses and everything else. Friendly staff and very clean restaurant. Did I mention it was also Very Fresh? I recommend you drive the extra mile from Hofstra to check this place out it’s pretty great. Excellent service with a smile and it fills you up you will be satisfied. 10/10
Visiting from miami im new to the chain and the attention to detail and variety is why this place is special. The hot queso sauce and tortilla salad where bomb!!!! This place would give chipotle a serious problem. Please to FL...I would be there regularly.
Really blows chipotle out the water when comparing "Mexican" food! Great quality and great tasting ingredients with even better portions! These are the things that chipotle has been lacking since the start of the pandemic; along with disrespectful online orders 🤢. I am a big fan of the unique Cholula® chicken. It's also great to have the option to upgrade to a fried taco bowl. Definitely recommend 😋😋. Cannot also forget that Queso and Guac are FREE.
Loved loved loved it! Got a bowl with ground beef and it was absolutely delicious. My mom got the impossible burger which she loved as well. The staff was so friendly and told me about their rewards program. The seating area is quite nice; booths have their own TVs. I would totally dine here again. Loved that they serve in non-plastic bowls. Best part, GUACAMOLE ISNT EXTRA!
Went a few times, always really polite, food is tasty and for a decent price! I think the booths are luxurious compared to most places and there's never been a large crowd of people at once.
AMAZING service. Staff is always extremely nice and the food is great as well
Excellent quality, excellent service, guac is not extra! They treat you with respect and dignity. When you order triple chicken, they give you triple. They do not scrimp. This is the only Mexican chain restaurant that I will go to. The other one's portions are disrespectfully small. QDoba gets an A+
Fantastic Spot. Fantastic People. Fantastic Food. And the Guac isn’t Spicy!!! Muah Muah Kiss Kiss I Wanna Grab Ur Wrist 💅🏼
Coming all the way out here from Brooklyn, I stopped in after a day of shopping and I must say I was VERY impressed. I was greeted by a member at the door who opened the door for every customer with a smile. Not to mention every staff member who was working behind the counter smiled each time they looked up. The open kitchen concept is great being able to see how well they kept everything clean. Even the tables and how they decorated was nice to see. Definitely recommend sitting inside and enjoying your food.
Best qdoba I've been to. Super clean and staff very welcoming. I tried the new citrus shrimp so good. The TV in the booth were a nice touch.
The food was great and they are not shy to load your plate up like another place that has received bad press. Just the opposite of chip Ole Tee 😃... SAFE TRAVELS TO ALL!!!
I got the birria bowl such a great choice I might say. My husband got the habernera lime steak he said it was good just was a small amount. The food was so delicious! Our first time going and it was so worth it! And I got free Queso & chips for MY BDAY!! I recommend
QDOBA never disappoints! The food is always fresh, flavorful, and made to order just the way I like it. But what really stood out this time was the customer service — the staff went above and beyond to make sure my experience was great. They were welcoming, patient, and genuinely helpful with recommendations and customization. Everything was clean and well-organized, and I felt like a valued guest from the moment I walked in. Between the quality food and the top-notch service, QDOBA has definitely earned a loyal customer. Highly recommend!
I had a fantastic experience at the QDOBA location in Plano! The food was fresh, flavorful, and made exactly how I wanted it. I ordered a burrito bowl with grilled chicken, and everything from the rice to the toppings was spot-on — definitely one of the better fast-casual meals I’ve had in a while. What really stood out, though, were the two ladies working behind the counter. They were both incredibly friendly, efficient, and welcoming. Even during the busy time, they kept things moving with a smile and made the entire experience feel personal and upbeat.
They just did a remodel of the place, and it looks great! The food is a good alternative to Chipotle, as they have more options than Chipotle and flavor options. I ordered a cheese-crusted quesadilla and I love that I got to really customize it. Food was hot and fresh, and you have more creative freedom here to customize what you want on what you order. Chipotle has its own specific flavor, so I wouldn't compare it to Chipotle because the flavor here is different in that regard, as it is it's own entity with it's own options. I would say being they are the same set-up, this place takes the cake in customizing and getting your money's worth.
Ordered on Uber eats a kids meal & bowl. A kids meal (build ur own taco kit) is really affordable for 2 tacos, a side, and a kids drink it’s super filling for an adult! I got a bowl on the side it was good I just wish there was a little bit more meat! But the Birria is good!
This place is a solid lunch spot. The dining area is clean and prepared for when you want to sit down and eat. The line moves quickly and they have all the fixings you want in a burrito and there are more sauces and flavors that you won't get from a chipotle which is nice. One negative is the music is pretty loud right next to where you order your food so you really need to speak up. The food itself is good quality. Its a bit pricey for lunch but you are getting an actual meal here so the value is there. You could skip breakfast and dinner if you have lunch here. Last time I went here I ordered the chicken queso burrito. I liked it on it's own. However, I think with hot sauce its much better. It might be even better as a bowl. I liked the burrito enough to the point where I'm going to have to try it as a bowl now too. All and all you can't go wrong coming here. Try some menu items out until you find your favorite. Finally they treat first responders right. I'd drive 5 miles to get their food.
Eventhough this is a chain restaurant, the flavor and homemade taste don't lack. The ingredients taste fresh. You can add as many things as you want (including the guac!- Yes, the guac is free!) for no extra charge. Definitely one of the less expensive Mexican inspired chains out there. You can definitely get a filling meal for under $15. I was shocked to pay only $13 for a huge chicken bowl with a large beverage! And like I said the flavors DO.NOT.LACK. the chicken was charred but yet juicy. The Veggies weren't overcooked. The cilantro, lettuce, raw onions, jalapenos tasted fresh. Pickled onions added a nice flavor profile but also a nice asthetic to the bowl. And the service is amazing.
Really I like this place is nothing fancy but the service and the food make it great Just come around and enjoy a good meal Oh almost forgot the most value person working in this place is ANNA just ask for her and any issues she will help Hope the administrators of this restaurant read this.
I had to scrape off my sour cream from the tin foil and most of it still stuck to it after the cashier hd crushed it with another bowl. She saw me take it off my food and move it on the other side of the bag. Only then did she offer another bag for the bowl. Next time, I’ll just make sure to get my sour cream and cheese in a separate container so I can actually get my sour cream. Usually this place is amazing and typically have no issues here, so more than likely just an off day for them.
Tastier than Chipotle. Clean, friendly service. Edit: today's experience was disappointing. No slotted spoons were used so all the grease from the meat and water from the pico de Gallo made my barely heated (another issue) soft corn taco melt. Needed a spoon when eating it. I've never seen such incompetent servers here before. I strongly suggest keeping an eye on the prep servers when they make your food.
Staff couldn't understand when we asked for salt. We were told that they don't have salt. They need less Spanish only speaking people at cash register and with the servers preparing the bowls so they understand English to know words like salt. The windows need better shading because late afternoon the sun is too bright on the dining area. Food was really good but they need to improve on hospitality.
Food is okay, and restaurant is clean, but priced higher than value. $16 for a basic bowl and drink… I’d understand if portion was better or if the meat was special. But honestly, the lack of customer service is where the price doesn’t match. Like why did it feel like I was disturbing your day by coming in and ordering? Chipotle is across the street. They both sell the same things and both are overpriced for rice, beans, and meat but whatever. But at least Chipotle is busier so maybe there you won’t overhear the staff talking about personal business while you eat. Just do pick up.
The food is fresh and good like any other Qdoba. Customer service not so friendly and actually goes in the other direction. Whoever was at the counter charged extra for a extra scoop of salsa, even charged 87 cents for a side of rice for a kid, all portions being served were also small compared to other outlets. I know in other Qdoba outlets they are super friendly and serve you basic stuff like extra scoop of rice or salsa at no extra cost so this restaurant surprised me. There is no smile from the guys serving you. I think I will find another Qdoba store when I look for one next
Bad service - They gave me the wrong lid for the bowl, and it popped open. The food spilled inside the bag.
No exaggeration, burrito was nasty, chicken tasted cheap and very sparse in the burrito. The queso was thick and pasty, my chips were all broken up, guacamole was actually good. Never eating here again.
I ordered a bowl on the app and went to pick it up from this location. When I got home and opened the sealed to go bag with my name on it, there was a DoorDash order in my bag instead of what I ordered. Not too big of a deal for me, but since this location is a bit far from where I live and I did not want to go there and back again (would've been another 30 minute round trip), I tried calling the location to warn them about this error in my order, just in case it messed up the DoorDash order. On my first call, it sounded like someone picked up, but no one was talking, then it hung up. I tried calling a few more times, but they were not picking up, so I gave up on it. So eventually, I tried eating the chips and quac that was in the order, but the chips tasted like cardboard, almost like they had been left in the paper bag for a bit too long and the bag was imparting it's papery flavors into the chips. There was also some avocado skin in the guac. At this point I lost interest in eating anything else from this meal, but I will note that the burrito that was in this order was only about the size of a regular soda can. Maybe it's just this location, but it seems like Qdoba has gone downhill since the last time I went (which was like 5 years ago).
I got a bowl with extra that is supposed to be worth $12. But it's not even worth $4. The lady is so rude and should be fired for the way she treats customers. With people like her in customer service, they will quickly lose all their customers. I'm not coming back here at all. If I could, I would give 0 for the review and $0 for the customer service.
I have fond memories of eating great food at qdoba since they opened this location. I returned for the first time in several years to try their shrimp bowl, and the quality of food and service were bad. The shrimp and chicken were dry and overcooked, the rice tasted like it had been sitting out for hours, and the remaining toppings lacked in flavour. The amount of food they give you fills barely half of the bowl, even after I asked for extra lettuce to make it a more filling meal. The manager even instructed the staff the exact quantity of shrimp to put in. For a $15 meal, overall disappointed in the food and the downturn of this establishment.
Would give negative stars if I could. AWFUL customer service. Will not be coming back to this location. The food wasn’t good enough the last time I came here for it to be worth it either. I tried to ask if their prices are different depending on the entree or all the same for each meat, she (short, stout Hispanic woman) didn’t understand my question or just didn’t know the answer; she kept pointing to the calorie counts on the entrees and telling me it’s right there. I asked about 5-6 times before she rudely answered that they charge by the meat as if that’s what she had been telling me the whole time. I said okay I understand before I heard her tell her coworker at the cashier (slightly taller woman) “That’s what I told her” under her breath; I responded that I had to ask multiple times before she understood what I was saying and she just kept saying she told me initially. The cashier tried to talk to me and understand, but she was just backing the other shorter lady up. She was extremely rude and just had this insane attitude the entire altercation. I love QDOBA, but this location is definitely not worth it, whether for food or customer service. Last time I came, the chicken was dry and the sauce tasted weird. The portion sizes were way smaller than other locations I’ve been too as well. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.
If I could give 0 stars I would. Worst service, and the food isn’t good either. We told the manager we were unhappy with our last two orders and she asked us why we came back? I’m shocked. I work in customer service, and it’s not hard to be professional or nice. She also started yelling for no reason!! Good thing we will never be coming back. Please save your money for a chipotle. At least they will make things right with you-without trying to fight about it.
I have been coming to Qdoba FOR YEARS! This was my first time at this location. I didn’t realize that it’s important to check the reviews at each location because this restaurant experience was absolutely horrendous. The rude lady that was taking our order had the audacity to tell me that the tiny portion of guacamole that she gave me is what they normally give to everyone. I asked her for more and she said that’s the portion. In general, they give a lot less food portions than other Qdoba’s. She was also very rude and cold and would not crack a smile, even if a clown was standing in front of her. The other interesting thing is that the food was disgusting. The meat tasted like it had been sitting there all day. The steak didn’t taste like the steak that I get other locations. Clearly the owner of this restaurant doesn’t give a damn because their food sucks and their customer service is horrific. Whatever you do don’t come here. Even if you’re starving, I’m telling you to drive to a different location because this place is terrible in every sense of the word.
Wow! So reading instructions is difficult at this establishment. When you can move over all the lettuce in your grill chicken bowl and there is no rice and barely any chicken! Pretty much a bowl of veggies and sauce. Can anyone locate either of these from the picture provided! Even try lifting up the "lettuce" to provide a better angle of the missing rice and chicken. SMH!
