Quinto Playa del Carmen Reviews
Service by Alfredo was 5 stars. The food was out of this world. One of my favorite restaurants.
OMGosh! Went for the breakfast buffet and couldn't get enough!! I've been to breakfast buffets all around the world and this is tops! All the prepared meats and salad were perfectly savory. I know servers and wait staff are supposed to smile, but this staff was very authentic. Will definitely be back!
Atmosphere: Excellent for a nice dinner. Staff is Friendly and very attentive. the willingness to accommodate was superb. Food. The flamed Ribeye was cooked perfectly. (this dish is intended for 2). Flamed at table side with your choice off spirit. Very tender and juicy. The risotto was very good with an intense and bold flavor from the truffles. The salad "Endivias and pears" with champagne vinaigrette. very nice flavor similar to Italian vinaigrette. Empanadas. Flaky dough fried perfectly. Not sure about the cheese combination. However, still good. Overall an excellent experience
Fernando and Enrique provided top notch service. They met all of our family's needs. They were so attentive and polite. They were patient with my children as they decided what they wanted to drink. The food was delicious. Definitely our favorite breakfast site on the property.
Breakfast: The breakfast buffet is the best one we tried while visiting the Vidanta resorts. There was plenty of sweet and savory to choose from. Dinner: The food was delicious and the wait staff was very attentive. We were first seated inside but the air conditioner was blowing full blast on our table so they moved us to the patio. A bit later, a huge storm came in. The staff quickly lowered the shades but everyone was still getting wet so they brought us shalls and moved us inside. Sadly, the storm was so bad that water started coming in to the restaurant. However, the staff went to work handling it and still took care of the customers. The food, ambiance and staff were all great!
Top notch service, selection, and food! We sampled several delightful items in the menu including the rib eye steak and rack of lamb. Literally melted in your mouth! The baked potato was so delicious and not made with the typical baking potato, but rather what seemed to be a butter potato. So yummy! We loved the lobster Mac n Cheese, the Caribbean lobster soup, rib eye crisps, and the bread they serve. Most things were accompanied by a well fitting homemade sauce of some sort. Heavenly! And don’t get me started on the guacamole that the rib eye crisps were presented on. Best guacamole my husband & I have ever had. We are here to celebrate our anniversary and our waiter even had the chef prepare a special dessert for us of chocolate soufflé and ice cream. Everything was so magical and beautiful. They even have a gentleman who will come to your table and make margaritas for you, but not just “typical” margaritas. There were so many flavor options including passion fruit and mango. We even watched him char an ingredient with open flame and then drop it into the drink. Our favorite restaurant in the States is going to have to step up their game! We also enjoyed a beautiful view of the Caribbean Ocean from our table. I highly recommend an evening at Quinto.
Really good steak house on the Vidanta resort property. While we had several good meals at Salum restaurants, we decided to do a special night and dine at the steak house. Steak was excellent and the sides were delicious. The clam soup was a yummy broth poured over clams. The mac and cheese and risotto were generous in their servings and we ended up taking them as left overs to eat the next morning.
Javier and his assistant were phenomenal! The food was so delicious. If you go here, get the steak! It's their specialty. Add chimichurri. I recommend the broccoli as a side. It's enough for the whole table! I had the surf and turf, it was the best steak but the lobster tail was ok. I also had Brussel sprouts. The brussel sprouts were good but a bit sour. Sides are a la carte. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant.
Here in off season. Opened El Qunito early for only us. Manager left the restaurant to come to adjacent bar where he had us wait. Not common fare. Displayed all the cuts of steak and explained them. Grilled broccoli and asparagus with two sauces. Chef desserts paired unusual ingredients together.
The breakfast buffet at Quinto was absolutely amazing. The decor was simple yet elegant. This spacious and cozy restaurant, Quinto, has a staircase giving patrons a unique view of their dining experience. The food was great and as usual the waiters were exceptional! I look forward to the next time.
Fernando was our server, and he was amazing. Incredibly fast, polite, and informative. We sat upstairs and shared the meal, including the surf and turf. The food was good, but not as great as the price indicates. Bottled water, 1 appetizer, 1 entree, 1 side, 1 glass of wine, and 1 coke were $170. Atmosphere is very pretty, like most of the resort, but a little humid and stuffy.
The grouper and mashed potatoes were good. The shrimp was so overcooked the tails wouldn't come off and they were so tough you couldn't bite into them. The grilled vegetables were cold. I sent them back. When they returned them to me, the wood platter was hot and the vegetables were still cold. I sent them back with the shrimp. My bill was $50 for fish, potatoes, and a martini. Beautiful interior. Overrated!!! Save your money.
