San Lucho Playa del Carmen Reviews
Drinks are delicious, shrimp tacos are the best we’ve had yet and service is excellent!!! Would 100% recommend!
The fries, cheese and gravy are dope. Live music 10/10. Our server Lila was fabulous!!!
Great atmosphere and friendly helpful servers. I was looking for a sports bar to watch hockey, they gladly accommodated me with the game of my choice on the screen of my choice. We will go back.
I enjoyed the food, the Jenga game & the music. (I don’t understand why the reviews complained about music that is what Playa represents eat, dance music & shop. The staff was kind & attentive, we went for breakfast 2 days it was close to our hotel & I would go back again.
Had an amazing time here the drinks were fantastic the atmosphere great and a brilliant live band l. The staff were so accommodating. Love this place
Food and drinks were great, waiters were friendly and came over just the right amount. I see a lot of reviews saying they overcharge people on the bill, me and my girlfriend went three times while visiting making sure to do the math on our bill and we were not overcharged at all… weird. Live music was amazing very talented performers. Overall probably my favorite restaurant we went to
After my 5th Ave workout, had B'fast at this nice place near 44th street. The breeze, sports TV, music and food made a great start to my day. Many thanks to Andres, Camala, and the chef for cheerf…
Fun night had for our first night in town. Lively, fun atmosphere with an amazing band playing great variety of pop and rock. Tacos were tasty and good value for 3 per order. Very filling. Delicious Guacamole and portion was so generous took home half for snack next day.
Very unfriendly server, felt like we were bothering her. We would have stayed for lunch, but went somewhere else. Never asked if we wanted another drink, spent her time talking to the bartender. Gr…
Check your bill. We saw a warning on a Facebook group that they add the bill incorrectly. So we added our bill. Sure enough, an extra 200 pesos was added without any indication. It’s sad to see that because we love the live music and atmosphere. Usually service is excellent. Tonight it was terrible to add to the rip off. They are aware of it and still they continue to do it.
definitely got scammed :/ it ended up ruining my night… was going to return later in the trip bc the vibe was fun but certainly not going to anymore.
definitely got scammed. paid 800 pesos for hookah. wont be returning or recommending which is shame because we had a great time ip until we got the bill
Can't recommend at all – for various reasons: 1. Don´t eat here, food is of bad quality and takes ages. 2. Drinks are average at best. 3. No ambience, the whole place is noisy, partly on the street – and they are terrorizing the neighborhood past 1 am. There is way better in places in Playa that also have a view, same music and are closer to the beach.
If I could give 0 stars, I would. This was by far the worst bar/restaurant experience I’ve ever had. I wish I had read the reviews before sitting down with my friends—it would have saved us the frustration. First of all, we weren’t even drunk. Yes, it was late, but we simply wanted a light bite before heading back to our hotel. We ordered pineapple juice and a couple of appetizers. The food? Absolutely terrible. It felt like they couldn’t care less about quality or presentation. But the real issue? The shady billing. When the bill came, we were all confused—the individual item prices added up correctly, but the final total was way off. It made no sense. I wish I had taken a photo of the receipt because it honestly looked like a scam—and based on other reviews, we’re not the only ones who experienced this. To make it worse, the waitress hovered over us, pressuring us to pay, which was incredibly uncomfortable. When we pointed out the overcharge, she took the bill back and magically came back with a new (and significantly lower) total. Unbelievable. This place is a complete joke. I feel bad for the staff who are clearly part of this dishonest setup. Whatever scam they’re running, I want no part of it. Save yourself the time, money, and frustration and stay far away from this place.
We came at happy hour. Order a mango daiquiri and traditional margaritas (2 rounds). We played jenga for an hour, games set at each table and had good conversation. At the end, waiter included the tip, with a total of 36.90. Drinks were good but not worth the price. Anyways good enough but did not pass muster. Sorry guys, go at your risk. Too pricey
