The Press Pleasanton Reviews
I got breakfast tacos and they tasted amazing! Probably the best breakfast I’ve ever had from a cafe. The food came out super quickly and the atmosphere of the place was great. Beautiful cafe, it’s definitely worth checking out!
I love this place. The food is great and the service is fast. It is a busy place, but not too loud. I do not like eating in a really noisy place, so this is note-worthy to me.
super super cute place! great for all ages too. this is like the trader joe’s of cafes or brunch places. i got the tacos, and they were very tasty. the graham cracker latte was also great, a little pricey but to be expected. also good seating availability.
If you're looking for a breakfast and brunch spot that feels warm, local, and super fresh, this is it! Everything here is thoughtfully made with farm-to-table ingredients, and you can really taste it in every bite. From farm fresh eggs and seasonal veggies to perfectly baked pastries, every plate feels homemade (because it is!). The coffee deserves a special mention: rich, smooth, and clearly made with care! Yeaaah, prices run a little higher than your average brunch spot, but the quality absolutely justifies it. The vibe is cozy and welcoming, it's the kind of place that makes you want to slow down, enjoy your meal, and savor the experience. It can get a little busy, especially on the weekends, so make sure to mentally prepare yourself to hunt for a table.
I’ve been to this café and really like that it’s almost always full of people. There are many stylish and good-looking people who enjoy healthy food. The atmosphere is fun and lively. The food is unique, with new flavors and focused on being healthy. I sometimes like to stop by here. At the back, there’s a nice backyard where you can sit, and the main hall has plenty of space. The food is brought directly to your table, so you don’t have to pick it up yourself. The girl at the counter is friendly and always smiling. Overall, the staff is young and welcoming, which makes the place feel fresh and enjoyable. It’s a nice spot to spend time and have breakfast. I love ordering the salmon sandwich—it costs $10, and they actually give you two large sandwiches, which is more than enough for one person. Plus, you can enjoy a coffee. Altogether, for about $18 you can have a really good meal here.
The food here is great, and the service is both fast and friendly. This place tends to be quite busy, so it's a good idea to allow extra time for parking. We ordered an egg sandwich, a pesto chicken sandwich and a chicken Cobb salad. The ingredients were fresh and delicious. There is plenty of outdoor seating, but it's wise to bring a jacket on a cold day.
Located in a plaza with ample parking. Fresh tasting food with friendly staff. Very chill and cool atmosphere good for a get together with friends or just to spend some time doing work. You seat yourself after ordering at the counter and they bring out your food. They have breakfast foods, sandwiches, and a variety of drinks. The picture is their turkey avocado provolone. Delicious. In case the indoors is full, they also have a back patio. Wish they had a location in the south bay!
I had a hot lavender latte with almond milk & my daughter had an iced lavender lemonade. We both love their peanut butter & jelly cookies. This place is always packed; long lines, no place to sit, and parking is difficult but worth it. The staff is always friendly & attentive. I’m giving them 4 stars on the atmosphere because it can feel congested, but the food and drinks are incredibly delicious!
I’ve been a regular at The Press since 2018, visiting both the old and new locations in Pleasanton. Whether I’m with friends, family, or just stopping by, I’ve never been disappointed. The food is always amazing, with my favorites being the tomato soup, avocado and citrus crostini, and various paninis. Truly the best brunch spot in the Bay Area!
This is a very well designed cafe I’ve been too! They specialize delicious toast and sandwiches. I can kinda tell that they did a good job with their business, which is why there are so many people dining here. The staff are professional to their customers. They also have a patio at the back of the restaurant. They also have other types of menus like Seasonal Specials and Weekend Brunch if you’re into more something special. Since it’s my first time here, I decided to go ordinary. They did well with how they spread the toast and how the toppings don’t easily fall apart when hand holding it. Coming from someone who lives in Fremont, this is a great cafe for locals around Pleasanton! Will definitely come back to try their sandwiches and pastries.
The OG location of my absolute favorite lunch cafe! I personally love to come here and get the panini half and half so I get to try two sandwiches for the price of one. I love the dill pickle bacon sandwich, salami pesto, and the turkey Rueben. I also recently had their frittata and it was truly excellent! Like way better than any other one I’ve ever had! One cool thing you may not immediately notice is that this place has a huge rear patio with a ton of seating and heaters! It’s usually not packed, cause if you know you know! I just wish they were open Sundays so I didn’t have to make the trek out to Livermore to get my fix!
The food was okay nothing exceptional or unique about it. We ordered Tomato Basil Toastini, Avocado Pesto Cheese Panini, and iced latte. It is a nice place to grab a quick bite. They have plenty of options to choose from. I was not happy with the quantity of the food. Each dish felt barely enough for just one person. The place has pretty good vibe, very crowded on the weekends. If you are in the area, I would recommend checking it out once.
Hot cocoa is milk with a hint of chocolate. Breakfast queso tacos were..fine. My mother enjoyed the GF avocado toast and we’d be back purely for the gluten-free options they have available for her.
The staff were very friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is casual and comfortable. Seating options inside and outside. Not many vegan options, but they make a nice cappuccino that you can get with almond milk. The food was okay, but a few tweaks to the dishes we ordered would’ve elevated the items/taste. The avocado toast was too hard/chewy to easily eat without seeds on the top going all over the place. Also a drizzle of balsamic glaze/vinegar would have been a nice addition. The avocados were fresh and the seed mix was a nice touch, just too many of them. The breakfast plate with ham was disappointing. The ham was thinly sliced and dry. The eggs were bland and the taste and texture of the miatake mushroom was off-putting. The staff said they were working on updating the menu next year and were likely going to replace that mushroom. Also the pastries were okay, but nothing spectacular.
Overpriced menu options with terrible drinks. The iced matcha and vanilla lattes were an absolute disappointment, both tasting like 90% milk. The bee sting panini was okay, with a nice layer of honey spread on top. But it is really just a couple slices of salami and tomato between mediocre bread. As for the salmon toastini, the goat cheese added a sour flavor that did not go down well. The staff are friendly, but if you're hungry then don't waste your time here and toast a sandwich at home instead.
