Restaurant at Kellog West Pomona Reviews
First off, the restaurant is run and operated by the students and they did a phenomenal job! Our lunch was beautifully plated and was delicious! 😋 The only hiccup was the meal was served sporadically, but all of us understood that it is a school and they're learning. From the wait staff, kitchen crew and management, everything was great! We all thank you for a wonderful experience and we will be back! 🤗 Thank you!
Truly impressed with this place. The service feels attentive and welcoming, the food tastes fantastic, and the atmosphere creates a warm, enjoyable mood. Everything comes together perfectly for a memorable five star experience.
This restaurant is in Cal Poly Pomona with great views of the city. Food is prepared by students and served by students. The food is very good. The menu is a fixed menu for lunch and dinner. I didn't know Cal Poly has a small vineyard and produces a good zinfandel. A very cool and fun experience.
It’s a nice place to have lunch or dinner, with a beautiful view and nice dining area. The service, done by students of the Collins College, is very professional and adds a very human touch to the experience. The food is well prepared, well served and very tasty. It’s affordable and with a high quality !
This restaurant is definitely a local gem. The menu is ever-changing and seasonal. With some of the produce coming from Kellogg's Farm, along with beers and wines from the campus brewery, it truly is "farm to table" for many items. The R@KR is the most affordable place for a nice meal, prepared and presented with impeccable service, in an elegant setting. I would talk about my meal but it is always changing. All I can say is that it was all delicious. I also make it a point to try every dessert, but in my excitement, I forgot to take pictures of them. *** Only open on select days, check ahead of time; reservations required!
Such a great experience for the students, a beautiful venue and an excellent fine dining opportunity. - a proud CA taxpayer and Collins College parent
Outstanding food and service. Can't wait to return.

Excelent restaurant, great job Cal Poly Pomona
Great new menu! So fresh and delicious.
This is a unique restaurant in as it's a teaching restaurant. So every body that is waiting on you, cooking for your, cleaning, prepping ect are students. So you are not going to a fine dining restaurant. You will get quality of food a nice atmosphere and hard working group of young adults . Most of the food they serve is grown on campus. It's a great experience and inexpensive.
We dined here to celebrate my mother and step-father's 95th birthdays. We were given 'The President's Room" to accomodate 11 people. What a lovely restaurant! Very friendly team. Every member of our party commented on how delicious the food is. Lovely view of the hill. Even saw a coyote walk by the window. Smaller restaurant, so not alot of noise from other diners or kitchen. Interesting, the students and professors manage, cook, and serve. The food is locally sourced from their farm. One negative: slightly hard to find, the first time. They could use some more signage and arrows. HIGHLY recommend! Do it!
I Have Been To The Restaurant At Kellogg Ranch, And It Is A Clean, Satisfying, And Relaxing Restaurant To Go To. I Am Glad That I Had A Chance To Go To This College Restaurant Three Times Before I Graduated Because I Went For A Special Occasion. I Am Glad That The Food Is Well Prepared By All The Students. The Service In This Place Is Managed And Done By All The Students At Cal Poly Pomona. I Would Like To Eat At This Restaurant Again If I Ever Go To Cal Poly Pomona. Overall, I Would Recommend This Place For ANnyone, Including Cal Poly Pomona Students
Making reservations was very easy, they also sent a confirmation email the day before. Location is beautiful and the servers were very attentive and friendly. The prices were towards the higher end and the food took some time to come out, but it was well worth the wait. Everything was tasty and portion size was more than reasonable. Would definitely recommend!
This restaurant is a learning experience and a great chance to see what Cal Polys all about the Cal polythetic experience in one place "Learn by doing" at its finest . I am a regular on Tues and Thurs and let me tell you chef Reyes ohhh my god he's the Hispanic version of Gordan Ramsey tough on the outside sweetheart on the inside and his passion for teaching the students and creating food is breath taking as the same goes for Jason Zhang who is the front of the house instructor and manager with his elegant approach on the modern day restaurant bring back old tips and tricks and mentoring the students along the way couldn't get any better than this Iconic Duo. Every table has a great view over looking the mountains. Did I mention the great experience for a awesome price.

What a pleasant surprise! Found by them accident in Google restaurant search near Pomona. Had no idea that it was on CPP campus until driving up a winding road. Run buy CPP hospitality students but everything was top notch. Friendliness, service, presentation, menu, meal, atmosphere, etc. One wall is all glass and offers view of the natural beauty of adjacent hillsides and valley below. 5 star experience for a 2 star price. Highly recommended!!

The restaurant is very cute. All the staff are students at the hospitality school and doing their best to provide quality service. The view is nice with floor to ceiling windows on one side. Food is limited and is decent for the price. There are limited options for substitutions given that the chefs are also students. I recommend getting the burger though it does come well done.
Came to meet chef but he who retired already The menu definitely changes a lot We both got steak, and there just a steak with a big piles of French fries. We were both surprised at first. I can see my friends face which says unsatisfied😄 Everything are more Mexico flavor Enjoy the serenity here though. Tks

I got the western burger, and it was a bit burnt to be honest, mainly around the edges, but still a noticeably bitter aftertaste. It's still a very good burger nonetheless. What did actually bother me was the blastphemy they committed by not including fries as a side. Who orders a burger without fries or some side?I dont care if it the price has to be elevated. It just doesn't make sense to have them separate since they go together like bread and butter! Also, this would easily get a five-star if there were more options in the menu.
Pretty decent and creative dinner for $35, at this time. It includes appetizer, entree, and desert. This restaurant is managed by students in most aspects and is on the hilltop of the Cal Poly, Pomona campus. Side note: The Cal Poly Pomona 2016 Zinfandel that they currently serve there is pretty good. It's more of a red wine than the usual pink wine one would expect.

Food was delicious and well-presented, and the service was perfect. We came for dinner Saturday night and it was pretty noisy - partly from the live music (which was pleasant) and partly since it was packed with families visiting students at the Claremont Colleges.
They have a very limited but interesting menu. Check the menu beforehand if you have any dietary restrictions, especially if you are vegetarian/ vegan. The Service was quite prompt. The views from the restaurant were great. I didn’t enjoy the food so much and would say it was just average. The desserts were too sugary. The bread in the main course was a bit burnt. Make sure you make a prior reservation.

We were on a school field trip and ate here. There were little bugs in everyone's cauliflower at my table.
