Great Q with a Coastal vibe?! Beachin 🤙 Plenty of seating in or out (shaded and breezy). Cool vibe with either. Sit down to order and our server Ally was a joy! Quick with drinks and answered all questions with insight and honesty❣️ So, service is awesome! My three meat was tasty and a reasonable portion. Great salty smoke bark on tender brisket; ribs tender and sweetish; sausage prolly not house-made, but good flavor; beans good and jalapeño corn is a Must! Her shrimp were crunchy and yummy and Brussels and broccoli both well-seasoned. So, food is awesome! Desserts looked good too, but we were full! Full bar, cold beer, sports on TV, and fun swag. Also just across from Shorty’s, which is convenient😎 Island Q…who knew? We do!

Professional service. The food was amazing. I had the smoked turkey and jalapeno cheddar sausage plus the cream jalapeno corn and fries. He had the brisket and jalapeno cheddar sausage, mashed potatoes and cornbread. It absolutely exceeded our expectations. The quality of the meat was great and flavor delicious. Will absolutely be going back.

This place smelled so good, even before we went in!! The atmosphere is a chill, beachy-rustic vibe and plays rock-n-roll! They have a different game on every TV. I had the MacDaddy Burger and it was perfect and to die for!! Quality ingredients cooked by someone with plenty of experience on the pit. Hannah, our server, was the sweetest! She was kind, helpful, friendly, and just a cool chick!! Highly recommend!! We'll be back!!!

We had lunch at MacDaddy’s on Sunday. The wait for an inside table was long while seating outside was immediate. The weather was hot but sitting under the covered porch was surprisingly comfortable. The porch area had some large fans that kept the air moving so it was nice to be outside under the porch roof. The food was good. I had the MacDaddy burger and it was really good. Everyone at our table also said their food was good. Our server Joshua was also exceptional. He wasn’t the helicopter server but always seemed to pop up right when we needed something. He was funny, helpful and a great source of local information. And he seemed to take pride in his work. You don’t find many employees like that anymore so we hope to sit at his table the next time we are in Port A. Good food, atmosphere, fair prices, and attentive, pleasant employees, what more can you ask for?

Our waiter Joshua did an awsome job, he was fast and friendly. The food was great. It was nice to find a restaurant serving food that wasn't just all seafood. Don't get me wrong, I like seafood just not for every meal of the day for a week. Everything we ordered tasted great. Wish I would have had room for dessert. Next time we are back in PA we will be comming back.

It's great bro! The corn bread is amazing and the brisket was on point tender and juicy. Notice my Blue Hawaiian 🍸 🧉 👌🏼 Atmosphere was cool, very Texas and very beachy! The only issue i experienced was it was a bit hot in the restaurant. I didn't want to sit outside because it was hot but we probably should have maybe the breeze would have been better. We were sweating it was pretty warm in August.

So I’m at MacDaddy’s never been here before, I was seated in a VERY TIMELY manner an JOHN was my waiter.. so I asked JOHN if he had any recommendations so he recommended the Mac daddy burger and I have to tell you he hit the nail on the head. I am a 57 year old blue collar worker and I have to tell you this is the MOST AMAZING BURGER I have ever had… so than you John for the best service I’ve had in a long time and the most amazing recommendation ever I highly recommend this place and I highly recommend John as a server. The food and my waiter was amazing. I cannot give enough stars for this meal and the service.

Dog friendly and family-friendly place! I had an outside seat with my 2 dogs. The server immediately gave my dogs water. I like the welcoming atmosphere. I had Armadillo eggs and pulled pork sandwich lunch set with Brussels sprouts. This was my first time eating armadillo eggs. It was delicious with a little bit of spiciness from jalapeño peppers. Not too oily, it was cooked right. I recommend it as your appetizer. The pulled pork sandwich was also delicious. I didn't put any BBQ source because I like to taste the ingredients taste itself. It had a lot of flavors, so I didn't need to add any flavor. It was fulfilling and tasty!

Our family was in Port Aransas this past week and we ate at MacDaddys twice. Had the most amazing food! The brisket nachos, chicken fried steak, the brisket Philly, the MacDaddy’s combo, and I can’t forget the amazing peach cobbler 😋 the restaurant was super clean with nice restrooms. But the most amazing part of eating there was most definitely our waitress named Ally. What an amazing waitress!! We had her both times we went. She even gave us free refills to go. She is so good at her job! Hope she is still there if we ever come back there.

Totally unexpected surprise and not only did this place have the BEST Lemon Pepper wings we have ever had but the main coarse and service were also on par . Menu items we experienced were Parmesan crusted fish , fried fish and shrimp platter and the smoked chicken and sausage . Nothing disappointed and all items were served hot and quickly despite it being Memorial day weekend . Our server Abby was amazing and super attentive despite the place being packed . We have dined at more exclusive and expensing establishments in PA with some having up to a 4 hour wait without reservations and they don’t compare the the meal we just experienced and Mac Daddy’s . This is truly the BEST OF THE BEST in Port A .

Wasn’t to shabby. I was hoping for more based on the reviews. The fish was dry, and the “jalapeno creamed corn” was missing the cream. It was like corn from a can with jalapeno bits in it. We got nachos with fries instead of chips and those were amazing. The bbq sauce is really good here.

We got blackened shrimp and a 2-meat plate. The shrimp was delicious. The BBQ had good smoke flavor. They have 2 kinds of BBQ sauce on the table. One reminds me of a Carolina sauce. The other is closer to a Texas sauce but it has an interesting spice to it, just enough enough to add a kick, not overpowering. The pinto beans were excellent. Enjoyed eating outside on the deck.

Our waiter Joshua was fantastic! He had a great attitude and was very accommodating throughout the night! The food selection isn't very detailed on the menus provided. There isn't a very wide selection of seafood entrees and is more of a barbecue spot if you ask me. The portions were very generous! The blackened fish and shrimp were delicious! The fried seafood platter had a little too much breading for my liking and the broccoli was a little too watery as well. Pretty great spot for big parties! Had over 20 people in our group, and even though we sat outside it wasn't too bad with all of the fans and breeze in the evening.

Nice restaurant. If dining in, you sit down and order from the menu. The brisket is mediocre and why the 3 stars but it's as good as you will find in the 'Coastal Bend'. Sides were good. So if you are in Port A and hungry for BBQ it's worth a visit. They have full service bar and several other items on the menu, the fried shrimp is popular and looked very good. Service was friendly and attentive. I'd like to go back and try something else sometime. {Edit} I went back and had the baked potato with the house chili and cheese, sour cream is optional. It was good, not huge but satisfying. I'm 'upping' my prior review.

We visited this spot recently and had a mixed experience. On the positive side, the food was genuinely good — flavorful and served in generous portions that left us more than satisfied. The ambiance was pleasant, and there was ample parking available on a weekday, though I can imagine weekends might get pretty crowded. Our waitress was lovely — attentive and kind, checking in both before and after our meal to make sure everything was to our liking. That kind of service really makes a difference. Unfortunately, our experience at the front desk was disappointing. The woman who greeted us was noticeably rude and dismissive, which made us feel unwelcome. There was an uncomfortable undertone to the interaction that felt, frankly, a bit discriminatory. It cast a shadow over what could have been a great visit. Overall, the food and table service were commendable, but the front-of-house experience needs serious improvement. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously — every guest deserves to feel welcome from the moment they walk in.

Decided to stop by Mac daddy's for dinner after reading all the positive reviews, also saw the endless shrimp sign at the front which caught our attention. Our first impression walking in was okay, the host seated us quickly but wasn’t welcoming. Once we were seated we looked for our waiter as we looked through the menu. That’s when a gentlemen rudely asked “so what do you want to drink?”, we didn’t even realize he was out waiter until he came back a second time to take our order. He was very dry and rude, almost like we were wasting HIS time. I asked about the endless shrimp since it was not on the menu and he gave me a vague response “it’s $20 for endless shrimp” I had to keep asking questions about the menu items and his responses were vague. I ended up getting the catch of the day for $20. It was good, 3 pieces of fried fish with a side of Cole slaw and fries. My husband got the fish and shrimp combo 2 pieces of fish with a couple pieces of fried shrimp a side of Mac and a side of Cole slaw for $27. The same waiter helped out another couple infront of us but his service was very different. He explained the menu to them without being asked and was very attentive. Overall I did not feel welcomed here, food was good but was overall pricey. There are several restaurants around the area that sell seafood, after the terrible service I will not be back and instead visiting other establishments.
