Hemos estado varias veces.
Volveremos.
We had lunch today, which is Sunday. I have to say it's the first time I've been since I was diagnosed with celiac disease, and I was very pleasantly surprised. On the Sunday menu, we were able to choose from several gluten-free dishes (and there were 5 of us with celiac disease and 6 without), and the food was delicious and generous (although we didn't try the croquettes because they weren't suitable...which surprises me, because these days there are so many gluten-free options). But the best part was dessert. I'm tired of always having fruit or ice cream, and at La Comanda, we were able to choose from several options. Bravo! Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU! Also, the service was fantastic, very friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back!
What a joy to discover places like this! Surely the best artichoke I've ever eaten, hehe! The steak tartare was tremendous, and the meatballs were also spectacular. We were served by a Peruvian guy who was a delight, as were his colleagues. The place is beautiful and has a relaxed atmosphere. Hospitality done right, congratulations!
We had the set menu and everything was perfect. They have a wide variety of wines available for purchase, as they have a small but well-stocked wine cellar. The service is excellent, very attentive, and I would definitely return. I also have to thank them for letting me leave my wallet on the table; they contacted the police, who located it and returned it to me (with all its contents). Thank you so much, I'm very grateful.
The food was excellent and of high quality, the atmosphere was calm and spacious, and the tables were large enough for two people. Unbeatable service, always attentive to our needs and serving our food very quickly, making sure it was fresh. I'd like to highlight that the prices are in line with the quality without being excessive. I would definitely go back.
The best restaurant in Talavera. I've been countless times since this magnificent restaurant opened. The food is spectacular, both in quality and flavor, the service is exquisite, and the waiters and waitresses are clearly well taken care of because they're always happy, which is much appreciated. I will definitely return many more times. Elo.
Everything was excellent, with quality and excellent service. We ordered the weekend menu: three starters to share, a main course, dessert, and a portion of patatas bravas. The menu includes water, which comes in a 1-liter bottle of Solan de cabra, and you can ask for it whenever you run out. The lemon tart is delicious.
I loved how the staff treated us, they are super friendly. We’ve got some food from their recommendations and it was extremely good! (Arroz con Sepia and a mix of meat). I just don’t recommend this place, I would say it is a must when visiting Talavera de la Reina.
My favorite place in town. Superb and affordable. Congrats CHUCHI
If you are trying to find this restaurant, it's in the street behind McDonalds. So, not much from the outside. Don't let this put you off though. Inside there was a cheerful, helpful welcome, and a delicious lunch. Not expensive and high quality.
We ordered a weekend menu. It costs €25, and you can barely finish the dishes (a very generous amount). The menu includes bread and a drink. Three starters to share and one main course + dessert. The dishes were excellent, although the risotto, for our taste, was too cheesy, so much so that it obscured the flavors of the other ingredients.
The restaurant is spacious with pleasant decor and very friendly service. It has a varied menu with small and half portions and prepared dishes, although the shrimp, pineapple, and yogurt salad wasn't very successful. The desserts we tried, apple pie and carrot cake with pumpkin cream, were very good. Since we were traveling, we weren't able to try the wines, which looked quite good.
I called on the recommendation of a friend because we were coming for a family day. I asked if they had highchairs, as I have twins, and they said they did. When I arrived, what they brought out were booster seats that my 15-month-old babies couldn't fit in, and giving them food was an ordeal. They apologized, saying the highchairs had already been assigned, but since they had our phone number, they could have let us know, since I told them I had my own. Our car was too far from the restaurant to get them. We finally ordered a set menu, 28.50 euros. Since my daughter is small and ate ours, they charge 4 euros for bread and service. The set menu only includes water, which they never offered us. The food was average, the portion size average. You have the option of three starters to share, one main course, and one dessert per person. What I can highlight are the cheek rice and the lotus cake. For dessert, we ordered an Oreo cake, and they brought us a coulant. I told them this when I paid, and they asked me why I hadn't mentioned it, but they left so quickly that I didn't have time to say so. The service was quite poor; despite there being up to four waiters throughout the meal, they left quickly, and their friendliness wasn't outstanding. If I had to mention someone who provided good service, it would be the guy with glasses and brown hair, who barely served us because several people were arriving, giving the impression that they wanted our service to end quickly. The truth is that, despite the good reviews I had read and the recommendation I received, in our case, the experience wasn't at all positive.
My first experience at this bar wasn't very satisfactory. I'd have to go more often to see if it's worth it. I had a daily menu, priced at 16 euros, and I didn't think it was worth it. Aside from the fact that they no longer had the first course I was going to order, the portions were rather small. I ordered peppers stuffed with meat and cod, which, as I said, were small, but I have to admit they had a good flavor. The dessert, chestnut mousse, was a chestnut. It's not very flavorful. It's true that they have different dishes than a more normal daily menu. They have a small section where you can choose a good wine.
We've been going to this restaurant for years and decided to eat here on Three Kings' Day. The food was great as always, but the service was worse than ever. It took over an hour between the first and second courses, and by the time the second course arrived, we weren't even hungry anymore. No one came to explain anything to us, nor did they apologize; on the contrary, the staff were disrespectful. It's a shame, because it's a restaurant we've been going to for many years, and unfortunately, we'll think twice about going back because of today's experience.
