comida Puebla Reviews
Fab food! We had two veg dishes that were really tasty. Really excellent service right from the front to the water and support staff. Professional. Very impressive.
Located in the historic center of Puebla, Mexico. serves traditional, delectable Poblano dishes.Has more than 100 varieties of Mezcal and Mexican wines. The murals on the wall capture history of Puebla. Beautiful large arches and tiled floors. An Absolute must when in Puebla! Great decor , vibe and beautiful people. Make sure seated Downstairs! Wine stuart is a great touch .
This is the quintessential Mexican restaurant. It serves traditional food from the state of puebla, focusing mainly on moles and antojos. I tried cemitas, guacamole and chalupas for starters. They were all great. For my main I had chicken with a mole sauce, which came with rice and beans. Desserts were also quite good: cremita and a meringue. The place is a must if you’re visiting Puebla.
Beautiful ambiance and exquisite menu. Had a wonderful (vegetarian!) chile en nogado, as it was in season. One of the murals in the patio is a collection of idiomatic expressions, visually represented. The mesero explained the whole painting to us - definitely ask, it's very interesting!
Exceptional in every way, don’t recognise the experiences in the negative reviews at all! We went twice during our stay in Puebla. The menu is fantastic & hugely varied - we tried the mole tasting (5 moles), the tacos arabes, the seasonal escamoles (Mexican caviar!), tacos lechon, squash blossom quesadillas, and one of the salads, and it was all delicious. Some stuff not our favourite, but we were taking risks and trying new things; our fault in other words! The turon ice cream I can honestly say is one of the best ice creams I’ve ever had, phenomenal. Service also 10/10, such friendly and attentive staff who you could tell really wanted to show off the Mexican cuisine. And the setting is stunning - ask for a seat with a view of the mural! Overall we loved it, it completely lived up to the hype.
We had a lovely dinner here. It’s a little pricey but in return you get very attentive service and simply very good food! We wanted to try the famous mole poblano and it did not disappoint. Such a rich taste! We were also offered a side of some salsas with bread which we expected to be charged but it wasn’t. We also received a tasty appetizer on the house. To top it off we tried the warm chocolate cake and it was delicious. The staff here are very friendly and correct. Some speak English and those who don’t were very patient with our non-existent Spanish. There is a menu in English and also plenty of vegetarian and vegan options. Highly recommend to have a meal here.
Excellent service, reasonable atmosphere. Didn’t speak much English. The chocolate and adobo moles were very tasty, other items more hit and miss. The next morning I realized that much more capsaicin was in the sauces than could be tasted. I’d rather have it the other way around. Still, it’s worth visiting.
This is one of the most popular restaurants serving famous Mole in Puebla. Being a vegetarian, I was quickly reminded that most of the mole has some chicken or pork broth and were happy to make a vegetarian one for me They did make one and it was good to try this unique concoction Anyhow I still think Mole is a acquired taste Mine came with cheese Also different salsa with breads were very good to start with as a complimentary snack Overall I recommend this restaurant as it’s a must visit and amazing drinks especially Chia lemonade Lot of pairings abound in this restaurant and usually is packed so having a reservation can help if you have a large party.
