comida para llevar Puebla Reviews
Excellent dining option with amazing street views on the upper floor. Traditional and seasonal dishes typical of the Puebla culinary tradition. While very close to the zocalo, this didn't feel like a touristy restaurant. I tried the current seasonal dish, the mole de caldera. It was suburb. I look forward to coming back in the summer to try their chile en nogada, the ultimate Puebla seasonal dish.
Loved the food, loved the atmosphere. And what a location, too. Right across the street from the church. Our table was next to a window at the front, so we had that beautiful view. And with the weather being pleasant that evening, all windows were open, which made you feel even closer. Highly recommend.
This was our first time to Puebla and we decided to try this place out. First of all, it’s right in front of the church in the center of the city. The restaurant is super clean, well attended and the personnel that work there are very nice. When you walk in, you see the cooks cooking the meals. Pro tip: Ask to sit upstairs where you can people watch and take awesome photos of the church. The food is delicious. Try the Mole poblano. It’s a perfect taste. Our servers name was Erick and he was energetic, patient, respectful and attentive. He was not pushy like some servers are. I 100% recommend eating at this place. We had a group of 10 people adults and kids. The atmosphere was perfect and the food was great!
Loved the food and service. The view of the cathedral is spectacular. For starters we had a vegetable taco and a chicken soup. Both were great. We had 2 huge cemitas for the main. Very very tasty. They had so much stringy cheese in them! And then we got some poblano sweets. It was a great dinner.
Saw a terrace overlooking the church and decided to eat here. Got the best view. The poblano soup was the highlight, it was so rich and flavorful with just the right amount of spice. They have their "famous" mini cemitas, which was OK, nothing amazing. It still added up to a decent sized cemita in the end. Prices are higher due to being on the Zocalo, but overall I'd say its worth it if you want the view.
I must highlight the food is tasty. We enjoyed the dinner. Prices are a bit high. However, it's worth due to view from the first floor and the food. There was a minor detail. The waiters expect you to pay a big tip. It made our end of the dinner a bit soured.
We came here specifically for the view, but unfortunately we couldn’t see it from the table they gave us, and they didn’t allow us to move even though we asked. The food itself was decent, but the service was surprisingly slow compared to every other place we’ve visited in Mexico on this trip. It took about 20 minutes just to place our order, and our drinks didn’t arrive until after our food was already on the table. We had been walking around all day and were really thirsty, so waiting that long for even water was pretty frustrating. Our server didn’t seem very attentive or engaged, and we felt ignored for long stretches of time. We’ve had exceptional service everywhere else, so this experience really stood out in a disappointing way. The restaurant might have potential, but based on our visit, I wouldn’t recommend it. There are plenty of places in Puebla with better service, better views, and better overall attention to guests.
The memelitas were cold and hard with two types of sauce and a sprinkling of cheese. Two of us ordered them and I took a bite and didnt eat any more and my friend didn't think they were good, either. My other 2 friends had the cemitas which were also crunchy and the filling not good. The wait staff didn't seem to care. I wouldn't eat here again.
