El Arrecife Puerto Vallarta Reviews
Despite the mediocre ratings on Google, we were thoroughly impressed with the food here! The wife got the filet and shrimp with potatoes. The filet was tender, juicy and had a delightful seasoning that really made it pop. The shrimp also were uniquely seasoned, and really tasty! Even the potatoes were prepared with a creamy, cheesy blend. I got the seafood linguini that had a perfect blend of garlic and spices, fresh, tasty seafood and a fantastic garlic bread! The empanadas were an unexpectedtly tasty appetizer - crunchy and savory with a yummy sauce. The atmosphere could be brought up a notch by losing the bright, white Led lights, but it's cute and charming, and the service was outstanding, and it was an excellent value. I haven't read any of the other reviews, but I was reluctant to eat here, given the mediocre rating. But I highly recommend what we tried!
Excellent food. The place is clean, very romantic, and perfect for a couple. The lights shine brightly at night. The space is large enough for a large crowd and allows for comfortable movement. It's located on the seashore, so you can enjoy the ocean waves as an ambiance. Perhaps at night, you can't really see the ocean, but the sound is enough to make you feel at peace. The service was excellent, fast, friendly, and prompt at all times. The waiter who served us was very attentive. He explained the entire menu and also made the effort to recommend the dishes he thought were the best. A great touch was that he asked us if we were celebrating a special occasion, and we mentioned it was an anniversary. At the end, at the venue's expense, he gave us a personalized dessert. The menu was quite clear and varied, with different options for different tastes. It also included descriptions of the dishes and their ingredients. The food was flavorful, the ingredients were fresh, and the dishes were at the right temperature for enjoyment. In conclusion, it was clearly an excellent experience dining here, I will return to try the different dishes they offer.
It's a very nice place for dinner. Hector's service was excellent throughout. They also understand and cater to those with allergies, and they even got us authentic gluten-free bread.
I love this place! I could eat their red snapper every day! The staff is super friendly and made sure we were enjoying our meal.
Delicious shrimp and steak and beautiful location on the water. True gem. Wonderful service
Absolutely fantastic. The food was very delicious. The service was excellent. The ambience was truly incredible. My husband and I enjoyed the view (the ocean is right there) and had a wonderful meal at this beautiful restaurant. Highly recommend!
This is one of the best restaurant I had in Vallarta. Great sunset view, great service, great food, fair price. I warned my husband before he ordered ribeye after reading other reviews, but it turned out his steak was just right. To me, this is the better restaurant of the two at Westin.
The shrimp tacos were delicious. All the ingredients used were really good. I love the guac and tortillas. The nachos were great but maybe I should have gotten something healthier 😁 The pizza wasn't the best, but we should have stuck to Mexican food. The staff are super friendly. The only problem is the service is super slow. Usually we had to go into the kitchen to get their attention.
The food was very good and the prices were not exorbitant. The bread was served fresh with different butter and oil options. We only had a light meal with a salad and the surf & turf tacos. The salad is a nice presentation and pretty basic, and the tacos are served flaming (mezcal) on a bone.
Yeah the food was just bad, that’s all there is to it, I give 3 star because service and vibes were good
There’s really nothing positive to say about the food at this restaurant. In my opinion this is the biggest disappointment of our stay at the Westin. The food was just bland, every single dish (we got 4). Drinks are not great either. I would never go back to this restaurant. The view is spectacular though.
Fair. Not Great, but Not Bad. Shared chicken fingers (chicken nuggets) and fish fingers and fries (fish & chips). Also ordered chips and guacamole. The food tasted fair. I've had better fish and chips, but had worse. The chips and guacamole was great. Old school corn tortilla chips and fresh guac. Although there are many cooks, bartenders, and dishwashers, there are few serving and wait staff. So doubt if they'll come by the pool, and even table service is slow/inattentive. At poolside they need a signalling device to show you want to order, i.e., small piece of wood red on one side green on the other signifying you want to order, or something similar.
When they reject you for not already having reservations...go to the empty bar next door, it is the same kitchen and menu. That said it isn't great. For appetizers the ribeye volcan was decent as was the empanadas but the tacos were bland and dry. The cheese stuffed onion rings were just weird flavoring(blue cheese). Italian offering were not good(thick and gummy pasta and risotto). Steak was serviceable. Desserts were bland and dry. Cocktails were abysmal.
The service is ok and the view is good. Having said that, yikes, both the stake and shrimp were way overcooked…
Food was not good. Service was fine. No one asked how our meal was. Would not recommend. Worst and most expensive meal we had in PV. Just a disappointment. Tofu skewers were just bad.
Cold steak, gooey chicken, slow service, wasn't asked how I liked the steak, then TOOK my food when I wasn't done.Wasn't told we were being charged for the water... Need I say more? The view was nice at least. 🤷🏽♀️
